Artichoke Pizza absolutely lived up to the hype! We ordered the Artichoke slice and the Vodka slice, and both were incredible. The slices are huge, so I'd definitely recommend sharing if you want to try more than one. There were three of us, and four slices ended up being the perfect amount. My favorite was surprisingly the Vodka slice. You don't usually think of vodka sauce on pizza, but it worked so well. The crust had a nice crunch to it, and the creamy sauce paired perfectly with it. My husband claims this is the best pizza he's had in NYC, so hunting down one of their locations was a must on this trip. Safe to say it did not disappoint! I used to go to Artichoke's in the Meatpacking District a lot, mostly when I was out late and just needed something hot before heading home. I was in Park Slope and craving it again, so I stopped by and got my usual, a slice of artichoke and a slice of crab. Still the same, super creamy, heavy, hot and messy. It's not something I'd get all the time, but when you want it you want it. Service was fast, and there were a few high top bar seats inside which was nice for a quick bite. It was about $7 for a slice and $2 for a soda. They're also running a deal where you can get 2 slices and a beer for $18. There was free street parking when I went, and it's a short walking distance from Barclays Center too, so it's a good late night option after an event or if youre around the area and want something hot before heading home. Its been a while I had some Artichoke pizza, and being in Brooklyn I was glad I found one near Atlantic Barclay's Center. It didn't disappoint. Service: Gio is your classic NY interaction, I see myself becoming good friends with him if I lived around the neighborhood. Such a Good person and chat we had with him when eating our pizza at the Bar. Food: I usually go with the classic Artichoke. However I felt like trying the Crab slice for the first time, and I would say it met my taste requirements, though I would make it little bit more cream/sauce and The Slice was warm and fresh. I will definitely add this slice to my roster of Artichoke slices. Environment: its the first time I see a Bar within the Artichoke pizza store, it us such a nice touch and with a music in the background (not too loud). Just something different to order, I got there crab slice ($7 now) , it. wasn't hot to had to reheat the slice , but wasn't warm enough to full taste the especially of the slice , I went and ordered through the cashier . , the seats were at the front near the window. Now that I'm an old man, I assumed my days of drinking too much beer and grabbing a giant slice from Artichoke were behind me. However, Artichoke seems to have expanded everywhere, and beer still tastes good. The only difference is that instead of 17 beers, six will do me in now, and instead of stuffing my face at 3 am, I'm doing it at 10 pm these days. This location of Artichoke seems pretty good though. It's essentially a pizza counter with a bar next to it. The pepperoni slices are large and tasty, the bartender is super nice and was happy to give me a double shot of water when he found out I'd had enough already. This is the worst pizza I've ever had in NYC. This looked like food only fit for a dog. The crust was raw and gummy, and the sauce was a swamp of cream. They have several slices you can choose from they are most notably known for their artichoke slices. The service was great and friendly and they seating you can sit at the bar to enjoy your slice. Ordered the Staten Island 12" and the meatballs w/marinara and ricotta and had it delivered via UberEats. The pizza was a mess - all of the toppings slid over to 1/4 of the pizza. Not ideal, but I have put together/rearranged a messy pizza before. I would not have minded this bit of extra work if the pizza tasted good. It was bland, unseasoned and soggy, which was particularly interesting considering that the perimeter of the crust was mostly burnt and hard. The meatballs w/ricotta had slightly more flavor, but came in a container that was mostly marinara sauce and ricotta. Once I fished out the four tiny meatballs (they were not visible to the naked eye), I was left with a container full of marinara sauce and ricotta. Not worth the price or the hassle. read more

3.5 Stars Artichoke Basille's Pizza has been one of my favorite pizzas for the longest time. It can be too much for some people but I'm a huge fan of saucy, flavorful things so the artichoke slice is one of my faves. This spot was right next to where I got omakase and I knew I had to get a slice to end the night. It's a small shop with a few seats and even a full bar. The staff was nice to us and made sure to clean up after every customer. I got the artichoke slice and it was presented warm and gooey. However, I would've preferred it heated up more cause I like a crispier crust. Even though it's a thick slice with heavy sauce, the bottom can definitely be made crispier - trust me, I've gotten it enough times to know. Anyway, it definitely had a heavy sauce on top as I remembered but it was a bit saltier than I would've liked. Not sure if the sauce has just gotten saltier over the years but I still ate the pizza regardless. The crust was also very thick, which it normally is, but if it was made crispier, definitely would've made a difference. Although the pizza was as great as I remembered it to be, I still enjoyed it regardless. The sauce could've been just slightly less salty but it was still thick and runny just how I like it. Usually one of my favorite spots to order from when I'm feeling like pizza but my last order was disappointing & basically uneatable. I ordered at 7, the place is a 12 min drive away. The pizza got to me in 14 mins???? Which makes sense because the pizza wasn't cooked at all. Literally artichoke dip soup. It was all over the box. Completely raw. I've been to NY a few times now and always had this place on my mind. I love artichokes and artichoke dip so a pizza version would be nothing but glorious. Even years later, Artichoke Basille's Pizza is easily still my favorite pizza of all time. I am in love with the artichoke pizza. You just can't get this anywhere else, nor have I ever even seen this on any other pizza menu. As soon as I landed, I made an online order for pick up which was ready in 15 minutes. Note that it's cash only, but since I ordered online, I was able to pay through credit card. I ordered the infamous Artichoke Slice ($6.95), Crab Slice ($6.95), Pepperoni Slice ($5.95), and Vodka Slice ($6.95). Also, these slices are not your regular pizza slices, they're are HUGE. You're probably going to be full from just two slices, but they were just as tasty the next day after reheating them. I have to say that the crab and pepperoni were mediocre to me, but the vodka and artichoke are winners. The vodka slice is so creamy on top of a thick and crunchy crust. But the spinach is just the cheesiest and creamiest topping you can imagine. It's basically spinach dip on top of pizza and it's the best thing ever. read more

They have multiple locations. Location I visited is in the Barclays area. So happens a concert just ended so by the time we found parking the line was pretty solid but it moves quickly. Bottom line: 2 stars pizza was not impressive Arrived in NYC hungry for NY pizza! But how do I choose? So many places for authentic Brooklyn pizza! So I rely on the time honored process of asking the front desk. "Sorry, you aren't driving you could go to Artichokes, it's the best place for pizza." I went up to Yelp and found Artichokes delivered, oh joy! So I ordered a pepperoni pizza for delivery when it arrived, I showed the box to the front desk person and he smiled in approval. I went to my room, mouth ready for this delicacy. I open the box, I see small, curled, pepperoni and I take my first bite.
