    Margherita pie pizza

Small shop good for a quick slice of pizza. The margherita pizza was light and airy with tasty marinara

Vegan slices and regular slices. So good and amazing price also!

The pizza was so good and the vibe was really nice and layed back. Went here after a night out and it was perfect. Open late too which is nice!

I had it delivered and when it asked if I had any special requests I don't know what possessed me to ask to put the vegan pepperonis in a smiley face instead of on the left and boy did they deliver(X2!!)! The pizza itself- holy shit I couldn't tell it was gluten free (from a struggling recently DXed Celiac) it was just delicious. The crust was crisping, the sauce was spice-ing, the toppings were popping and we were all cheesing! :)

Your typical ny style pizza. It's better than joes pizza with okay prices. Inside seating is small but nice to have. The worker did seem to not want to help but it's fine because it was good.

I had some amazing vegan pizza here! My husband tried some other slices they had. We both loved it. They have vegan ranch here too. The staff was so friendly definitely will be back again. Open late too for your late night cravings.

I'm sick of paying $5+ for a single slice of New York Style pizza. Honestly, anything over $4 is pushing it. The whole ethos of pizza by the slice is that it is quick and cheap. I'm not even asking it to be GREAT, I just want it to be good. All this to say that after a long walk through the city to clear my head of intrusive thoughts accompanied by a full body cigar, I needed a slice of pizza to tie me over until dinner. I told myself the next place I walk by serving pizza by the slice that didn't have a long ass line will have my business. After purposefully darting my head the opposite way when I saw a few $1.50 per slice places, Artistic Pizza appeared when I needed it most. I walked in and saw the checkered floors, $2.50 cheese slice & $3.50 for a pepperoni slice, and a grungy but not gross pizzeria ambiance. I became more optimistic than when I started my commission-only real estate brokerage job, and ended up just as disappointed. I went with a cheese and a pepperoni slice, and it was the poster child for 3/5 stars. The crust was doughy and had no hangtime when you picked it up, real ones know about the hangtime. However, there was an ample amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings but it just couldn't make up for the like of crisp on the crust. It satisfied the pizza craving, but I can't sit here and say it was good pizza. In my 28 years on this planet, the phrase "you got what you pay for" is so hit or miss. Ive had some cheap wines that are fantastic. I've paid under $10 for shirts that are still in my rotation 5+ years later. But, I'm beginning to see that in the case of pizza by the slice, you definitely get what you pay for.... but if you disagree PLEASE bang my line ASAP Rocky!!! IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov__

This is my go-to spot for vegan pizza in the West Village. Even when I go to eat at another restaurant, I always stop by to pick up two slices for home. On Sunday, my friend and I were heading to Spicy Moon and he asked about vegan pizza options, so on our way home we stopped by and picked up 4 slices. I had the mushroom and what I believe was a cheeseburger or chopped cheese slice. We both enjoyed our slices and will be stopping by again soon. They have a wide variety of vegan options that are worth trying.

The Vegan Mushroom pie and Vegan sausage and pepperoni pie pizza

Artistic Pizza has great vegan pizza by the slice! I got a slice of the vegan mushroom pizza and a vegan pepperoni and sausage crumble slice. The slices were sizable and pretty good! I didn't like the vegan sausage crumbles, but the pepperoni was good! Also, not many places have vegan by the slice, so it was super convenient! The service was pretty quick, as they heat up the slice as soon as you select them. The place is more of a to-go spot, but there are about three little tables available for seating. I also like how there are two display cases: one for the vegan slices and one for the non-vegan slices. Overall, the pizza is pretty good! I look forward to returning and trying the vegan buffalo chicken slice!

A decent place with crispy staff. The cheese slice was pretty good with a crispy crust underneath. A bit garlicky sauce. There a few tables to sit down here, but pretty tiny inside.

$5 for a vegan mozzarella, vegan pepperoni and hot sauce slice 100% gets 5 stars from me!! Service was immediate, space is super small but the checkered floor was truly reminiscent of what a pizza place should be in New York - AKA a hole in the wall that kicks ass!

Really enjoyed their pizza ! Probably the most underrated place in nyc make sure to grab a slice

    Vegan bbq chicken

The best place for vegan/vegetarian in the area. I used to go every week at one point because my bf was obsessed. I'm glad that they have a place in the area to cater to vegan pizza lovers. It tastes similar enough to real pizza as well. I would recommend their vegan cheese slice as its close enough to real cheese for those who cannot have dairy/cheese. The additional stuff hid the cheese flavor a lot, so if you're in it for just a cheese, just have a regular vegan cheese slice. If you're in it for a vegan meat, I think the bbq chicken was the best with the pepperoni following after. Enjoy!

$6 bro! & they have hot sauce on the side

Mostly gluten free and healthy portion sizes. - Grilled Chicken Swisswich - was an interesting mix of Bacon jam, gruyère, lettuce, avocado aioli on a toasted ciabatta. Not bad and came with some Herb fries. Service - (4/5) - servers were friendly and fairly attentive. Atmosphere - (4/5) - it's at the bottom of the Edison Hotel so there isn't a dedicated restroom it's by the hotel lobby. Dim and homey feel to the layout and furniture/lighting. They have a partnership with a company that provides singing servers during dinner hour. Keep in mind they add a mandatory 5% fee on your bill for this! Friedman's d/b/a Gayle's Broadway Rose where there are singing servers who are struggling actors/actresses attempting to get into the acting/stage/film industry while working in the food service restaurant business. I did not experience the singing servers during my patronized visit. Upon entering the Maître d' announced "right now, we're only seating at the bar counter not at tables," so why do I see patrons sitting at booth tables? Oh! It was somewhat busy but not at full capacity for full-on hustle bustle busy. Seating for one, please. Me, myself and I. Friedman's is located adjacent to Hotel Edison and restroom facility is in the hotel's lobby. Access to Hotel Edison's facility is limited as the hotel's staff will stop all who enter as I am not a hotel guest. I believe Friedman's is very overhype, and overrated. My male server/waiter calls all the female patrons "love" which does not bother me and does not irk me at all. But please do not call me "babe", "baby", "mamma" or "mommy" as these are too sexist, outdated and stereotype in some cultures/race directed at women. Friedman's is certainly a modern American luncheonette. No comment for alcohol as I not order any. There are no business cards for keepsake. Pastrami on rye $26.00 Mustard, pickle and vinegar chips The meat heavily embedded with a lot of white fat stretched and stuck together when bitten. The meat tasted very bland lacking flavor. The mustard was mild spicy which gave the meat a zesty kick for aliveness, but minimally applied. The pickle was average. The vinegar chips were very stale and harden. The rye bread was average with caraway seeds which was blah. I am uninterested in caraway seeds. Katz's Delicatessen continues to reign supreme in pastrami on rye as the meat is excessively abundant quantity piled high and very flavorful taste without the need of mustard or mayo condiment. I prefer this sandwich accompanied with fries like Katz's Delicatessen offers. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 20%, 22% and 25% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I was able to obtain my sales receipt as keepsake.
