Have been here twice--most recently earlier this evening-- for TGTG bakery pickups and am a huge fan of Arvaci! Both times the service was so fast and friendly + I got 1-2 each of all their croissants, a cinnamon roll, and a cranberry scone to try. Also bought a Red Jacket Farms apple juice from the cooler; it was one of the best apple juices I've ever had tbh. Super bright, clean, adorable space too. Didn't notice they sold Arnold Palmers until I was about to leave! Classic cafe menu: hot or iced drinks, teas, hot chocolate, eclectic fruit-based drinks. Beautiful variety of savory and sweet baked goods including tarts, pierogis, a *lot* of vegetarian quiches, etc. which I appreciate a ton as a pescatarian w/ a vegetarian partner. Favorites: *Spinach and Feta Croissant *Almond Croissant *Chocolate Croissant I'll be back!

Friendly service. Various size options. Got an oat milk latte which had a number of syrup options. I went for the cinnamon. I felt the coffee very pleasant not acidic or two robust. There is some seating inside but it's an intimate spot

***3 1/2 stars*** I've enjoyed my handful of visits to Arvaci, but you know what I didn't enjoy? The walk over there. Honestly, it's a big reason I'm probably not going back any time soon - the trek down 37th between 8th and 9th might literally be the most depressing, grossest stretch in NYC, which is saying something. I've never gone down it without seeing at least one person shooting up heroin right on the sidewalk, and most of the time it's closer to five people. It looks like there's a methadone clinic or something down the street closer to 8th Ave, so you have to walk past hordes of drug addicts. If you have the ability/time, I'd 100% recommend taking the long way and accessing this place via 9th Ave. Why no one is bothering to clean this section up is beyond me, and I feel bad for the tourists paying actual money to stay at one of the hotels on this block too. Live and learn. Arvaci itself is much more pleasant though (how could it not be? The metaphorical bar is in hell.). The only time I've seen more than one other customer in there was coincidentally on my most recent trip this past Thursday, which again, might have something to do with the location. That's to my benefit - I've never had to wait particularly long for anything here. Also great? The customer service is truly excellent and sets itself apart; I think coffee places in general get graded on a curve (people love their caffeine), but the baristas behind the counter are noticeably friendlier and personable than your average bear. There's one younger woman who's always been there on my visits who's honestly just super sweet, the kind of person who yells out goodbye as you're leaving, even if she's serving other customers. Huge selling point. I've stopped by probably three or four times now. I'm always on the look for edgy flavored hot lattes (yes, even in the midst of this crippling heat advisory) and I enjoy the strawberry latte here. Since the weekend was almost upon us, I thought as a special treat it would be nice to also order something to munch on. The proprietors, I believe, are Eastern European, so there are a few intriguing pastries/savory snacks available, highlighted by a variety of pierogis. On this particular visit, I ordered a potato pierogi and a chicken pierogi, which required roughly a 10-minute warmup before being provided. Decent. The chicken was a little dry and the middle of both pierogis was a little cold so this should be heated up for another minute or two, but otherwise was perfectly fine. My experience with pierogis is pretty limited but these were large compared to prior ones I've ingested - the two of them were more than enough for a lunchtime entree. The interior/vibe situation isn't ideal, and I think that matters with coffee places, unless it's a straight-up to-go situation. There are two tables in here, including a full-on booth by the window that's on an elevated platform. I chose to sit there while I waited for my pierogis, and the table was noticeably sticky and hadn't been cleaned. The table was also uneven and I almost caused an accident when I inadvertently put too much of my weight on the edge getting up. It's honestly a little drab in there and looks like they very recently moved in and are still trying to figure out where everything should go, and I think they've been here for over a year. When you order a coffee, there isn't room for them to leave it on the counter for you (so basically, no pick-up area), and they have to awkwardly place it on the extreme edge of the counter for you to get, which requires you to reach over the prep section with the sweeteners, etc. That's probably an easy-ish fix and something I'd recommend. They're already significantly behind the eight-ball (boy does that feel like a cringy pun) based on the neighborhood location, so if able, I'd try to compensate for that by making the actual business more comfortable and hospitable. There's a lot to like here, especially the service - I'm just not sure it's enough to compensate for the surrounding drug den and less-than-ideal interior space.

Went there to pick up my tgtg order. The pickup window is until 5:15pm. Got there at 5:05pm and the store was already closed. Walked 15 minutes to get there. This sucks. Now you are acusing me lying?! I actually took a photo of your store closed at 5:06pm and sent it to TGTG customer service as evidence.

Maybe I came here on a bad/busy day? I really wanted to like this place because I'm looking for a neighborhood coffee shop but unfortunately, my latte missed the mark. It tasted just like frothed milk, I didn't get any coffee or espresso taste at all. There is WiFi and loft style seating so perhaps could be good for a quick break from work.

Amazing coffee and lovely place to hang out for a quick coffee. Pastries are amazing and if you are lucky they just came fresh out of the oven. Great and friendly stuff!

This place is on the way to work for me, so I stopped by on a weekday morning wanting a caffeine hit. The store is decently sized with some seating inside, and service was fast and friendly. The cortado was quite average. Really dark and bitter; felt like the beans they used had been overroasted. Mouthfeel of the milk foam also wasn't great. Wouldn't super recommend for their coffee, but seems like a decent place to hang out and sit around at!

I'd actually passed by this place multiple times but had no idea it was a cafe. This shop itself is more of a grab-and-go, but it might still take a while since all drinks are whisked and made to order. There isn't really space for a line to form inside, so you may need to wait outside to order (there's also a bit of a lack of room to wait for your drink once it's ordered). My strawberry matcha came out to $9.25 total, which is pretty pricey, so I expected a lot. In total, it took me around 10-ish minutes to get my drink with about 4 people in front of me. At first it took a while for our orders to get taken since the two employees were focused on getting drinks out ASAP, one person was preparing the syrups and milk, and the other was making the matcha. The matcha itself had a nice green color. I've had many strawberry matchas prior to this, and based on my experience, this place was alright. The strawberry syrup was nice and not too sweet, but I wish there was a bit more flavoring or more of it, as after two sips I couldn't taste the strawberry at all. Overall, it's a nice shop with cute trinkets around and their own products they sell, like matchas and tea sets. However, for $9, it was a lot for what the drink offered in my opinion.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
