I probably should have gone even less sweetened on ice latte to balance out the croissant but yolo ..I didn't finish either so won't feel too guilty. Perfection is in details, and if the space was cleaner I would have been happy, but they were so busy that I understand. I love the prayer room. Mashallah. This coffee shop absolutely blew me away! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you've stepped into a fancy vacation getaway. The atmosphere is beautiful, the space is inviting, and everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. I wasn't sure what to order, but I was recommended the iced Sand Dune Latte and it honestly touched my soul! It was so good that I'm pretty sure I was still feeling the caffeine at 1 a.m. that night. I didn't get a chance to try the pastries, but they looked absolutely delicious and I'll definitely be back to give them a try. I came back for breakfast at 10:30 on a Saturday with the family. It wasn't crowded. No line and we had a choice of many clean tables. The traditional breakfast had a choice of three items. I chose the shashuska and added the manousheh, the seasonal fruity pebbles drink, and biscoff latte. It didn't take very long for the buzzer to ring for pick up. Food tasted fresh and had a good variety of items. Drinks can be very sweet but the kids enjoy them. I wouldn't mind coming back and ordering the items individually. This has been on my check list to try for a while and I just so happened to be in the area so I decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. Outside; it seems like any other cafe but as you walk inside you see a whole different ambience and vibe. It's definitely more on the classy/luxury side. I came here on Father's Day for an afternoon pick me up. The interior is very spacious and they even have games out for customers. The service was friendly and fast. It's absolutely packed on weekend mornings. Weekdays would be better if you are looking for a quiet place to study. The space is large and nicely decorated inside with lots of tables and seats. There are board games (Catan) and a prayer room, which is really nice. The fruity pebbles matcha ($10) is a seasonal/limited time drink and has a unique taste, like fruity pebbles cereal milk. I enjoyed it a lot and also appreciated how aestheticly pleasing it looked. The iced salted caramel latte ($9) is also good, but nothing special. There's a sudden rush of yemeni coffee places in bay area and I am on the mission to try them to understand if they live up to they hype and if they are more suited for coffee or chai lovers? So here it goes - Arwa Yemeni has a great ambiance that you will notice as soon as you enter. A very spacious cafe with plenty of seating - individual and large group tables. They also had board games, LED pads and games for kids so pretty family friendly too. Now let's talk about their menu - coffess, teas, matchas, signature middle eastern flavors, baked goods and desserts! The very famous tea is Adeni Tea - comes pretty close to Indian chai. It does have premixed sugar so please ask for a sample before ordering to see if it suits your sugar levels (It goes for all their drinks that have premixed sugar - you can ask for a sample). We asked for sugar to be lowered in our tea pot but I still found it was pretty sweet so just a note! I wanted to try the Jubani coffee but it was sold out so I tried Qishr coffee and it was OK - leaning more towards a bold coffee with less hints of the spices they have mentioned and it was pretty thinned out even with milk. So if watery coffee is your thing, then you will like this but I did not since I'm more of a latte person. I would like to visit this place once again to try their baked items and dessert and see how they are! But 5 stars for presentation of the tea pot with candle lit underneath to keep the tea warm throughout!! read more

The colors & styling are tastefully done; a lot of care was put into every detail. There's plenty of seating, though it can still fill up at peak hours. Feel free to do some work with free Wi-Fi & outlets, or bring a group of friends to chill. The service has been great so far. Everyone is friendly & seems to enjoy their work. Orders never take too long to prepare. As far as drinks, I've only tried a few lattes. But they have all been great. The Pistachio Latte competes well with the other Bay Area contenders. If you want something a bit unique, consider the Sand Dune Latte, flavored with honey, vanilla, & various spices. The food is also enjoyable. I have similar thoughts on the Pistachio Milk Cake as with the Latte. And the Manousheh was a tasty complement to my drink. We didn't go for that this time because we weren't that intensely hungry. We ordered two shakshukas for $30 total instead. My NEW favorite place to meet! They took over the space of the Specialty's, which I used to frequent few times a week, before pandemic. The new space is sooo bright and spacious, the decor and finishes are exquisite. When you enter in, it's like you're transported to a beautiful place. I think if you were to try anything, the Sand Dune encapsulates, what I hope, Yemeni coffee. It's spiced with cardamom, maybe ginger and other spices. It's an interesting flavor profile, but very delicious. For something less spiced, their date latte is also delicious. I ordered the latte half sweet and the white chocolate flavor still shined through. There are many pastries and baked goods that look delicious. I tried the potato Fatayer and their biscuits. I tried Arwa on a Sunday morning just before 8am and there were a couple people enjoying their coffee. I tried their Mofawer and the Sand Dune Latte. I was finally excited to try this place out and came on a Friday evening for a Ramadan event they were having. Aside from being open late there was also a food truck offering from an outside restaurant. My friend and I arrived around 9pm and the place was busy which we expected. This was our first time so we weren't sure yet what we wanted. I knew I wanted the latte with the camel on top for sure. We waited in line for about 15 mins which I didn't mind. The place is beautiful inside a there is a lot of seating, if you can find a spot during the rush. When it was time to order the girl who helped us was really nice. Considering it was busy I never felt rushed as we had questions about the dessert offerings and coffee drinks. The only latte that comes with the camel on top is the Yemeni latte. I ordered this with oat milk. I always appreciate a milk alternative. I also ordered a slice of dessert, it was pistachio and reminded me of baklava. I cannot remember the name unfortunately but it was delicious! My friend ordered the sand dune drink and a slice of cheesecake and she said both were great! We both got our orders very quickly and even though it was busy we were able to find a table for two. Everyone that works here is friendly too. Just to note it seems a lot of people like to come here to study so it gets busy in the evening time with larger groups, studying and people celebrating Ramadan during this time. 3.5 stars I stopped by beginning of February and was shocked how packed it was! Mashallah there's a big community and need for spaces like this. The line was very long- waited about 20 minutes to order and then to receive food was about 15 minutes? So it is awhile but I'm sure it'll get faster/lines will get shorter soon. I really liked my limeade, it was very refreshing. I did not care for the lahma bajeen, honestly it wasn't good but it was their first day serving it, so I'm hoping they improve the recipe? What a beautiful cafe! I'm so pleased with the influx of Yemeni cafes to the Bay and I think this is the most beautiful one a i've been to. Great drinks and vibes and open late! I love how there are two rooms (and a prayer room too). The larger main room has your typical cafe tables, great for working because there are lots of outlets and wifi. The other side room has coffee tables and has more of a chill vibe to really enjoy the coffee and hang with friends. read more
