The best nail salon in Seattle, hands down! I've been to a lot of nail places, but Ascend Nail Lounge is on another level. They really take their time with prep, shaping, and making sure everything looks clean and perfect. Every time I get my nails done here, the finish is flawless and feels like a mirror. At other salons, you never really know how it's going to turn out, but here every single person I've had has done amazing work. The quality is always consistent, and everyone is so kind and professional. You can tell they care about what they do. I'll only trust this place from now on. It's truly the best, and I always leave feeling so happy with my nails.

Service was really good, the lady who did my manicure kept checking in with the gel light pink color I chose and even asked me if I wanted a third coat. We did a third coat but it was very nice they asked me and did the same for my toenails as well. The pricing is decent and I could tell they were really thorough. My nails were broken and very uneven before and they did a good job to make sure they are were pretty even/ identical in shape!

First time here and it was a great experience. This place is huge! It was clean and well kept and felt like an upscale salon without the prices of one. I had hiked for 4 days straight so I wanted to heal my feet with a pedicure. I got a hot stone pedi for $58+tip. I thought that was a steal in this area especially. The pedicurist treated my feet and legs to exfoliation, mud mask, gel, and a hot stone massage rub. Then the coloring came at the end. My feet were singing to me in the end instead of screaming after all my hikes. I felt so revitalized!! There is a 5% cash discount if you pay for cash (my $58 pedi turned into $55). I will def. be back!

always such a great experience everytime i come here!! receptionists and technicians are so kind, pleasant and so helpful. this time i got a halloween set of nails with jenny and shes so skilled!! jenny helped me pick out my nail inspo and always made sure i was comfy and liked her designs. shes my favorite technician but there are so many talented people in the salon. the salon is always clean and organized and i love the peaceful vibe with the soothing music in the background. honestly here is my go-to place for great nails and relaxation so i really recommend this place to everyone!10/10

I've been going to Ascend for my monthly pedicures for over a year now and I have nothing but praise for this nail salon. Ascend has a large open space but never feels too busy. It has an upscale spa atmosphere without insane prices. The ladies at Ascend are very talented and attentive. My gel pedicures and manicures from Ascend always look flawless and are long lasting. Being new to Seattle, one of my first missions was to find a nail salon. I chose 3 that I wanted to try before deciding where to become a regular. Ascend was the third that I tried and it's likely to become my regular spot. I got to the area a bit early so that I could explore a bit. There are some cafes around so I was able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast to myself before I got my nails done. I really enjoyed Ascend Nail Lounge. There's a ton of space, it's welcoming and comfortable, and it all seems to be kept incredibly clean. The staff were kind and helpful. They also have a decent selection of colors. I really loved Ivy. She did a wonderful job fixing my nails. And I mean... these nails were torn up! I did the most with my hands over the holidays so my nails were either broken or haphazardly cut to remove the broken nails. Ivy cut and shaped them perfectly without it being painful, even though she had to work very close to my skin. I highly recommend Ascend and Ivy.

Julia was AMAZING! My hands were a mess, I went to another salon while on vacation and that was a big mistake. Julia made everything better. She took the time to make sure all of my nails were repaired and even. It took a while but she was efficient and patient. To top it off she did the cutest daisy design, perfect for summer. I want to give a huge thank you to Jenny at Ascend Nail Salon for making my daughter's day! Long story short, but we stayed at a nearby Airbnb before departing on a cruise and ate dinner at Laredo's grill the night before the cruise. My daughter accidentally left her purse and wallet with her first ever paycheck at the restaurant. We didn't realize it was missing until after we departed. Our flights home upon return left before the restaurant opened on the day we returned. Jenny who is a friend of the Airbnb owner offered to pick it up for us. What an awesome person! All of the cash and cards were still there. What a relief and good life lesson. Please give Jenny and Ascend Nail Salon your business! There truly are still good people in this world! read more

I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure done at Ascend. The person doing my manicure did a really nice job and everything turned out exactly as I'd hoped. I'm now over a week out, and my finger nails still look really good. Unfortunately the person doing my pedicure seemed to be in a rush and did not take very much care as she was working. She cut my toe causing a moderate amount of bleeding, and although I know that this can happen from time to time, she didn't acknowledge what had happened or apologize. She also used the wrong color polish and ended up needing to repeat everything. At the end, my service was comped $5, which out of a $90 total service, didn't seem reasonable given my experience. I would consider going back and working with the person who did my manicure, but would absolutely avoid the person who did my pedicure. read more

This is just the best nail salon I've ever been to. I've been going for over a year and I've never once been disappointed. I get gel manicures and they last longer than any gel mani I've gotten anywhere else. Their attention to detail and cleanliness is unmatched from any other salon I've been to in the area (I've been to two or three others). They play calming music and since they don't have powder/acrylic it's not all dusty and gross. I just love this salon!! read more

I went to Ascend for a gel manicure/pedicure and I was really impressed with the services! The salon is super clean, the staff is very friendly and my technician, Lily, did a really amazing job on my nails. I hadn't been to get my nails done in quite a long time and she really cleaned up my hands and feet and was very detailed with her application. I went to the nail salon recently after reading the reviews. There is a lot of precautions in place thanks to covid and that makes it easier to want to go to this place. The online booking is super easy, and once you walk in the salon, they check your temperature, make you fill up a form and finally wash your hands. The ambience is really nice and the music adds a nice soothing touch to it. Pedicure and manicure went as expected and the service was really good! One of my finger started bleeding though after a cuticle was pulled off a tad too strongly and that did hurt. I am removing a star for it. The front desk did take that into consideration and offered me a discount. Overall, I was happy with the service and give them another chance to see if I end up with bleeding fingers again! read more

Gosh I love this place! I have to preface by saying that I am somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to having my nails professionally done- I've never liked others touching me, and it always seemed crazy to me to pay money for someone else to file and paint my nails. I've had unfortunate experiences elsewhere that ended with bloody cuticles. I've visited the Nordstrom Spa downtown for my nail care needs, and I actually prefer this neighborhood spot. Ascend has really changed my views on nail salons, it is so spacious and most importantly CLEAN; I've always felt very comfortable at every visit. You will not feel the chaotic atmosphere that plagues most smaller nail salons. I discovered them back in December '19. I even brought my fiancé back then- it was his first ever experience and he felt it was inviting and relaxed even though he is a chronic nail biter. It totally helped that they offer wine if you so desire. The two people who are in charge of the check-in stand are lovely, and I've never had an issue communicating my wants. All this being said, the hosts and ambience are just the icing on top of the cake. The real deal are the gel manicures I come for every few weeks. I just adore Susan and Tiffany. They are so gentle with my cuticles and removal of gel polish- that is key to keeping your nails strong! My manicures have always looked great and I usually receive compliments; people often wonder if my nails are actually mine. Thank you Ascend for creating such an awesome place with experienced professionals. The hospitality from everyone makes me feel like I'm back home in the South! read more

This is my favorite nail salon in Seattle! Every time I go (gel manicure, usually with removal as well) the technician pays such close attention to detail. The edges are always super smooth and uniform and it lasts longer without chipping than anywhere I've ever been. Every technician I've had has been a delight and is clearly an expert at what they do, and the hostesses are super professional and quick to welcome you and take care of your needs. This is the best experience I've had at a nail salon in Seattle. I was in awe of the interior and how welcoming and professional the staff was. Definitely very different from what I am used to lol. This salon is located in Queen Anne with lots of street parking in the area. I made an appointment a couple hours ahead online, and they were able to accommodate me for a gel manicure ($35). My nail tech Anna was friendly and meticulous, making sure I was satisfied with my nail shape before moving on to applying the polish. I will definitely be back! read more

A coworker recommended this place to me, and I couldn't be more glad that she did. I've been back 3 times now to get my nails and feet done. It is very easy to make an appointment online, they always have a ton of availability but I've also seen people just walk in for an appt and they've never been turned away. All of the staff are friendly and polite. They do great work too - each time I've been, I've gotten a shellac manicure and it's lasted me about 3 weeks before they start to chip - the longest a shellac manicure has ever stayed on my hands! I feel their prices are reasonable and comparable to other nail spas, and as long as I keep getting lasting results, I will keep coming back! read more

This place opened nearby so had to try it! The place was great! The staff was very friendly and welcoming and they did an awesome job on my manicure and hot stone massage pedicure. It is pricier than the nail salon I normally go to, but the service also came with a glass of wine or champagne so that made up for the difference! It was a nice and relaxing experience. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for more pampering! read more

They are having 30% off services through Sunday, otherwise it's a little more expensive than other places in the neighborhood but they did such an awesome job I will definitely be back. Overall a good experience here. The technician did a great job uniformly shapingy nails. Cuticle maintenance is gentle and effective. I got mermaid nails and it looked so cool! This place is a bit pricey. My only complaint is that the gel manicure started to peel a week and a half in. read more

I went in because I like the pictures of the tiles and enjoy the aesthetic of the building and the facility did not disappoint. Shortly after getting situated in the sauna, I quickly realized that people were talking (full volume) and carried on the whole time. After about 45 min of internal screaming, I changed back to my street clothes. There no way I would survive 2 hours of of conversation when I'm trying to relax. Once I got back to the front counter, the staff was super nice and understanding. They apologized for my experience and comped me. While I can't recommended this place for someone who wants a Zen experience like myself, I can see the appeal for people just trying to hang out and unwind in a healthier setting than a bar.

The "lap pool" was 84 degrees which is way too warm for actual lap swimming. The locker situation was also frustrating. Day pass guests can only use lockers on the pool deck, not in the locker room, which defeats the purpose if you come prepared with clothes to change into after showering -- there's nowhere secure or convenient to store your belongings inside the locker room itself. On top of that, the locker room wasn't very clean and robes weren't provided. The pool area is open to all hotel guests, including kids, so it never felt calm or spa-like. Between the crowd, temperature of the pool, and limited amenities, it didn't match the spa experience that was advertised. I frequent hotel spas, and this was one of the most disappointing given the price. It would feel more appropriate at about half the cost, especially since parking isn't validated for day pass guests.

I got lost trying to find the parking lot because there is a Hyatt across the street as well, I called and she followed on the map and told me exactly where to turn and how to get into the parking lot and the $13 valet parking was great in the building!! the only suggestion I have is to maybe use terry cloth robes instead of the heavy Sherpa lined older robes. The slipper sandals were so nice!! Wish I had a pair! Loved it!!

The loungers were comfortable and I enjoyed the dried apples and almonds. The decaf tea that they gave was refreshing. The bathroom and locker room are spacious with beautiful natural light. The massage was the best massage I've had (a 50 minute serenity massage). It is nice that the tables adjust for the chest area to make it more comfortable to use and the masseuse Lexi had the right pressure and was so skillful at her job. She took away knots I never knew were present and the heated table and towels were lulling me to sleep and to a deep sense of relaxation I haven't had in a massage before. Early morning appointments are best. By the time I was departing the locker room was much busier taking away some of the charm and serenity. This is a true luxury experience with a price tag to match, but the quality justifies the cost. If you're looking to treat someone special (or just need a high-end escape for yourself), this place delivers. (For me I'll aim to head annually and hope to treat my parents here for an upcoming birthday...)

They have many stations for manicures, pedicures, massages, and foot reflexology. When I saw their list of prices and I was surprised by how reasonable they were for their location. As a bigger person who has been walking on the treadmill and working out Orange Theory up to 5 times a week, my feet have been killing me, so I got a foot reflexology massage. To say my feet feel better than they have since I can remember has been an understatement. I plan on going back to Mulan Spa for more feet massages, and to make it part of my regular health routine. And if possible, less use of hair brushes for head massage. Otherwise, I'd come back definitely for massage. Head spas sure but I'm indifferent. I hope the place survives because downtown/belltown could definitely benefit from this.

Extremely Disappointed with My First Visit to Ascend Spa As a first-time customer at Ascend Spa, I had high hopes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I specifically researched this place especially bc I just moved here from CA. However, my visit turned out to be a series of disappointments, and I left feeling unsatisfied and frustrated. 1. Appointment Timing: My appointment was scheduled for 10 am, but it took three hours to complete my requested services - eyebrow shaping, Shellac manicure, and regular pedicure. This was incredibly inconvenient for me and made me feel like my time was not valued as they only assigned me to one person. 2. Eyebrow Tint: I asked for an eyebrow tint, but the application was sloppy, going beyond my eyebrow lines. This resulted in stains that lasted for a day. It was evident that attention to detail was lacking. 3. Nail Design: I requested flower designs on my nails, and the nail technician initially said she would "try it first" to see if I liked it. Unfortunately, I didn't like the design, but she dried my nails under the light before asking me if I liked them or not. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she couldn't understand me, so she called for front staff to assist with translation. They refused to remove it, claiming it had already dried and would require drilling to remove. This inflexibility in addressing my concerns was frustrating. 4. French Tip on Toes: During my pedicure, there was no natural or light pink color coat applied before the French tip. It was just clear. This is a basic step that was overlooked, and it left me feeling like the quality of service was subpar. 5. Customer Service: To make matters worse, I was charged for the designs on my nails even though both the technician and the front staff were aware of my dissatisfaction. Their response was dismissive, attributing it to a miscommunication and offering no resolution. In conclusion, my first experience at Ascend Spa was far from enjoyable. The extended appointment time, poor execution of services, and lack of responsiveness to my concerns left me deeply disappointed. I did not feel like a valued customer, and I will not be returning to Ascend Spa in the future. Amazing salon and staff and very pretty interior!!! I came in about 3 and a half weeks ago for a gel manicure as a walk-in and the service was really great they were able to take me in accommodate all my needs. The technician i got was very patient with me since i was being very picky with the colors and she was very nice to me and treated me well. These are the nails she did for and even after almost 4 weeks later they're still in tact, no gel has chipped or cracked nor has my actual nails broken off. excuse the blurry pictures :) read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I will never go to another nail salon again! They have extremely nice staff, especially the receptionist she is just a sweetheart. I would like to give a special shoutout to the nail technician Michelle, she really knows how to massage and I always leave feeling nice and relaxed. I wish they still sold wine, however that is not a big enough reason for me to not give the a five star review. I always do full set and acrylics so my natural nails was not healthy at all. After tried the paraffin treatment with gel polish on my natural nail at Ascend Nail - I just in love with it so much. My natural nail was never getting healthy like this before. They did a really good job with nail art and gel on my hands, it turns out so much better than I expected.
