The best nail salon in Seattle, hands down! I've been to a lot of nail places, but Ascend Nail Lounge is on another level. They really take their time with prep, shaping, and making sure everything looks clean and perfect. Every time I get my nails done here, the finish is flawless and feels like a mirror. At other salons, you never really know how it's going to turn out, but here every single person I've had has done amazing work. The quality is always consistent, and everyone is so kind and professional. You can tell they care about what they do. I'll only trust this place from now on. It's truly the best, and I always leave feeling so happy with my nails.

Service was really good, the lady who did my manicure kept checking in with the gel light pink color I chose and even asked me if I wanted a third coat. We did a third coat but it was very nice they asked me and did the same for my toenails as well. The pricing is decent and I could tell they were really thorough. My nails were broken and very uneven before and they did a good job to make sure they are were pretty even/ identical in shape!

First time here and it was a great experience. This place is huge! It was clean and well kept and felt like an upscale salon without the prices of one. I had hiked for 4 days straight so I wanted to heal my feet with a pedicure. I got a hot stone pedi for $58+tip. I thought that was a steal in this area especially. The pedicurist treated my feet and legs to exfoliation, mud mask, gel, and a hot stone massage rub. Then the coloring came at the end. My feet were singing to me in the end instead of screaming after all my hikes. I felt so revitalized!! There is a 5% cash discount if you pay for cash (my $58 pedi turned into $55). I will def. be back!

always such a great experience everytime i come here!! receptionists and technicians are so kind, pleasant and so helpful. this time i got a halloween set of nails with jenny and shes so skilled!! jenny helped me pick out my nail inspo and always made sure i was comfy and liked her designs. shes my favorite technician but there are so many talented people in the salon. the salon is always clean and organized and i love the peaceful vibe with the soothing music in the background. honestly here is my go-to place for great nails and relaxation so i really recommend this place to everyone!10/10

I've been going to Ascend for my monthly pedicures for over a year now and I have nothing but praise for this nail salon. Ascend has a large open space but never feels too busy. It has an upscale spa atmosphere without insane prices. The ladies at Ascend are very talented and attentive. My gel pedicures and manicures from Ascend always look flawless and are long lasting. Being new to Seattle, one of my first missions was to find a nail salon. I chose 3 that I wanted to try before deciding where to become a regular. Ascend was the third that I tried and it's likely to become my regular spot. I got to the area a bit early so that I could explore a bit. There are some cafes around so I was able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast to myself before I got my nails done. I really enjoyed Ascend Nail Lounge. There's a ton of space, it's welcoming and comfortable, and it all seems to be kept incredibly clean. The staff were kind and helpful. They also have a decent selection of colors. I really loved Ivy. She did a wonderful job fixing my nails. And I mean... these nails were torn up! I did the most with my hands over the holidays so my nails were either broken or haphazardly cut to remove the broken nails. Ivy cut and shaped them perfectly without it being painful, even though she had to work very close to my skin. I highly recommend Ascend and Ivy.

My gel manicure was great!! Emily did a great job. However, the gal that did my pedicure, Tammy, was not very motivated. She didn't really do the bare minimum of the service I paid for and Emily kept having to remind her to focus on her job... all she wanted to do was gossip. If you can multi-task, I'm all for it but she clearly was not able to and received the least pleasant pedicure I've had with this business. Because of that, I would definitely recommend scheduling an appointment with someone who is dedicated to ensuring you get a great service, like Emily! Overall, this place is great and I will continue to go here, I will just make sure I request someone ahead of time. read more

I initially went in to get my acrylics soaked off, Tia was so gentle and was careful to make sure not to damage my natural nail in the process, I decided to get a manicure/gel polish since my natural nails were left in such good shape! Highly recommend this place, will be coming back! read more

I went in for a pedicure and I was seated at the very back of the lounge which seemed like it was used as a storage space as well. The other male patrons were also placed at the back even when there was considerable space at the front of the studio. The technician did not bother to warm up the water for pedicure and nicked the skin when cutting my nails. I had to ask her to disinfect the wound after she ignored the blood coming out. She only exfoliated the front of my feet, and forgot the heels. This was the worst pedicure experience I have had at any spa/lounge. It was unhygienic and I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially men. read more

A good nail tech makes your day and a bad one destroys it. I went to the beach with my kids yesterday so my hands looked so rough. Was grabbing coffee across the street so decided to give them a try. $57 dollars later, I have gel nails that both shows cracks on the tips by nail tech ROSIE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! She's rude and unpleasant. When I showed her the cracks, she told her coworker to tell me to not touch my hand in the light machine?!!!!! Hello?! How do I intentionally create cracks in 2 different fingers the same way? She tried to fix them but couldn't. I left the place almost in tears. Lesson learnt look for good reviewed technicians. I overheard conversations of the tech next to me, she was pleasant and knowledgeable. My experience: I chose regular color at first so Rosie tried to upsell gel. The lovely front desk lady showed me the options. I chose one and Rosie sighed in contempt so I was taken back and decided maybe no gel and given my upcoming vacations, I may want a bolder color. But after internal debate, I told her I still wanted gel. Anyhow, from then, she didn't say anything to me and just kept sighing. Even when she needed me to switch hands, she gestures with her head and never said a word. It went on in uncomfortable silences for majority of the session. When she's done, she didn't even look at me or inspect my nails, she said "you can go now". That was the only thing she said to me after she started gel nails. So I told her there's visible cracks. Again, avoid this tech for gel nails techniques and her lack of customer service. If you like someone to just sigh nonstop, this is the lady for you. read more

This is such a beautiful salon. I absolutely love the atmosphere. It's quiet and relaxing with muted colors and stylish minimalistic yet glam decor. Plus champagne! I got a spa pedicure and I will be back to ask for Sam again and again! I absolutely love when they take the time to actually get all the skin from the sides of your toes and dig under there and everything. I feel like a lot of times when I get a pedicure elsewhere, the polish is good but the actual pedicure can be lazy- not at Ascend! I feel like I have a whole new set of feet. The massage is amazing too! Sam's attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I cannot believe how meticulous she is! Thank you, Sam! I'm so happy I finally found a perfect salon in Seattle. Today Sam gave me a parrafin manicure and look!! With all this constant hand washing and Purell, my dry, scaly hands were in need of rehab and look, I have THE silkiest hands in the city. Sam took extra precision to shape my nails while one of them was broken so that they looked even, yet maintained the integrity of the more healthy ones. After the manicure she took a few extra moments to go over with a literal fine tooth comb for any possible stray hair strokes of polish. I cannot believe how meticulous they are at Ascend! Now, it's my favourite place. Definitely the best manicure in Seattle ( I tried many different) Nails looked perfect after manicure. I did shellac, the quality is superb. My services were booked online a couple of days ago & it was super easy. I opted to treat myself & went with the signature manicure (50 mins) & signature pedicure (70 mins), arrived a little early but they were able to start me right away (around 1:25pm after I picked my polish)! Decor is clean, modern, bright, and the salon is well appointed and they have an amazing corner spot in lower QA. Decent street parking available. Excited for a little pampering, lots of promise so far that this might become my go-to nail salon. My technician was nice. Products they used were really good (scrub, masks). Unfortunately that's where the positive points about this nail salon ends. Regrettably my technician rushed towards the end during my manicure. At 3pm the front desk gal came by, said something in Vietnamese, I gathered it was urging her to finish so she can move onto the next client. She came back twice during my service to urge my technician to finish (all before 3:20pm). My services were scheduled from 1:30-3:30 as noted we got started a little early too, I didn't get color on my toes so there was definitely extra time (IMHO). Overall, I feel that the nail polishing was very sloppy, polished nails were spotty (second coat didn't even cover the first coat completely on some nails) & the top coat she applied was heavy handed & overdone, extended into nail bed as well as cuticles on some nails. I pointed out the spots and the technician obliged to clean them up with remover. Not worth $133, not rebooking and not recommending Ascend. read more

Absolutely phenomenal job on my nails! I've never been so happy with the work done. I asked for a white to pink ombre and requested two nails each with pink marble art based on a google image. It's so stunning and I can't stop looking at my hand!! Definitely give them a try and don't forget to visit the Forget me Not store and the cafe nearby. It's a perfect cloudy Seattle stop. Both my friend and I were super excited to try this place out after seeing the positive reviews on yelp. BUT this place did not live up to our expectations. Both my friend and I got manicures and pedicures here and both of our nail technicians managed to cut the skin skin around our nails so my fingers was a bit of a bloody mess. My friend also spent a lot of money to get a special gel design for her manicure, but the lady she got was rushing her service. read more

I just moved to the area a couple days ago and my nails were all messed up from moving and was in need of a manicure. Found this little spot down the street and it was amazing. Beautiful salon with relaxing music and everyone was so friendly and helpful. My nail tech was giving me so many good suggestions for Valentines nails and we ended up with this one right here and I absolutely love it!! This is now my new go to spot! Booked a last minute manicure appointment here... this is hands down (pun intended) the BEST manicure I have ever received. I didn't get my Tech's name but she was so detailed, a perfectionist after my own heart. My friend that I went with also agreed this was the best manicure she had received. I had been getting gel manicures for years before the pandemic. For years, my real nails never saw the light of day! Sure, my nails broke from time to time, but I never experienced peeling and breakage like this before. Coming to Ascend the first time, I received what had only bee my second gel manicure since March '00. I've been there for two more gel manicures since then, and noticed that they aren't very patient with gel removal. They don't leave the foil w/ remover on long enough, so in their impatience, they use a NAIL FILE to scrape away the polish. A huge no-no. After my last gel manicure, my nails began breaking past my nail bed within four days. My nails are now in the worst shape they've ever been. I need to use bail glue to stop my nails from breaking any further into my nail bed. They really need to pay attention to the well-being of their clients and be more conscientious. I will not be back and don't recommend it for anyone who plans to get gel manicures regularly. read more

Came here with my friends Natalie and Eva for our girls day. We really liked this spot. My friend Eva recommended this place so we all went ahead and called to schedule a time for 3 of us. I really liked the decor and how clean everything was. My pedicure came out awesome - got a great scrub, massage, hot towel and some warm socks for my feet with collagen, can you believe that?! One thing that was a bit disappointing was that they don't do acrylic nails, which I hoped to get this time for a trip to the bay area to visit my mom for the Mother's Day. I ended up with getting gels for my nails which turned out really great as well. It was a fun day for all of us so we decided to give them a shout out. Will definitely come back again after my trip. read more

When I finally found out what was going to replace Sushi Land's space, I got really excited! Another nail salon, but one very close to where I live, yay! I finally came here to visit and was very impressed with not only the service but the quality of the mani. I made an appointment for a shellac mani and was already impressed they allowed for online reservations. When I came in and checked in, I was being very indecisive about what color I wanted and one of the ladies came over and asked if I was doing a mani for a special occasion (holiday party) so I described the colors of my dress + heels. She recommended a couple of colors and I ultimately went with one of the colors she picked out. Tiffany did my shellac mani - very friendly! I loved the service she provided. She occasionally asked me if I wanted anything to drink and if I was okay with the color. After putting two coats on, she asked if I wanted a third and I did so she put a third coat on. I will definitely be coming back here in the near future! read more

I was traveling Chicago - LA - Seattle, and my manicure was dead, so i needed to fix it asap. Although the receptionist was at first resultant to accept a walk in, the manager stepped in, and I was getting my nails done in 5 mins. Wow! I was so impressed! The place is beautiful with piano music playing in the background, i almost meditated there :) Nails turned out great, exactly what i wanted - it's one week in the photo and looks the same as the first day. I made an appointment for gel removal and regular manicure. They charged me more than the price on the menu. When I asked why, they said my gel needed machine removal, and they charge extra for this. They did not tell me in advance that the price would change, then the woman in the reception took my card (because my manicure was still drying) and used it without telling me the final price. So I saw the final price on the receipt. But the most upsetting part is that the manicure was bad. They did not remove cuticula fully, and polish looks horrible with marks and bubbles. The atmosphere there is nice though. But I wish I went to the cheaper place at least. :( read more

My friends and I did a couple girls day here and l loved it. Last time I came the nail tech was doing things very strange and after 5 days of shellac mani - my shellac chipped while I was eating pita chips. I reached out to the nail salon and they said to send pictures to their Instagram... it appeared they were going to fix my nails for free.. I even made a appointment to do so. After more talk they said I needed to be more careful and it would cost $40 to fix - I canceled my appointment. I did not do anything harsh with my hands on my free time and not doing anything rough with my hands being a nurse. After this incident, we took our girl's day to a different salon from there on out. Instead of fixing my nails, they have lost $300+ of service from us three ladies. On the plus side, we found another great salon in Queen Anne - Apollo! When I pealed off my shellac, they all peeled off in one piece and peeled off so easily, which is unusual for shellac.... It wasn't surprising as I said my shellac chipped so fast and the nail tech was doing things very strange. After going to APOLLO, my Nails are beautiful and Not chipped in 2 weeks. Thank you ascend for bringing my service to a better company. read more

I've been getting acrylics for a while now and that made my nails super weak. They would break off whenever I try to grow out my natural nails even with gel on. I went to Ascend for the first time to get my acrylics removed and a gel manicure. It's been 4 days and surprisingly my nails are still intact, they have not been this healthy for a long time. You can book online and sometimes same day! Services are always great. The facility is clean and calming. The music really makes it spa like. Ascend offers many different services but I've only had my nails done. They give you time estimates online so you can plan your day accordingly. read more

I brought my toddler for a special mommy and me day. My pedicure started but I had to ask several times if someone would help my daughter. The woman who did was very unfriendly to me and my toddler. My daughter was very well behaved but she kept scowling at her and at one point put a very hot towel on her legs (we've done kiddo pedicures before and the technician always lets it cool first). The kids manicure and pedicure was much pricier than the other local places but also was much shorter and didn't include much. It's more of an expensive polish add. If you have kids and want to treat them to a special day, I recommend Apollo nails in Queen Anne who are extremely friendly and kind. read more

On top of that, the locker room wasn't very clean and robes weren't provided. The pool area is open to all hotel guests, including kids, so it never felt calm or spa-like. Between the crowd, temperature of the pool, and limited amenities, it didn't match the spa experience that was advertised. I frequent hotel spas, and this was one of the most disappointing given the price. It would feel more appropriate at about half the cost, especially since parking isn't validated for day pass guests.

Extremely Disappointed with My First Visit to Ascend Spa As a first-time customer at Ascend Spa, I had high hopes for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I specifically researched this place especially bc I just moved here from CA. However, my visit turned out to be a series of disappointments, and I left feeling unsatisfied and frustrated. 1. Appointment Timing: My appointment was scheduled for 10 am, but it took three hours to complete my requested services - eyebrow shaping, Shellac manicure, and regular pedicure. This was incredibly inconvenient for me and made me feel like my time was not valued as they only assigned me to one person. 2. Eyebrow Tint: I asked for an eyebrow tint, but the application was sloppy, going beyond my eyebrow lines. This resulted in stains that lasted for a day. It was evident that attention to detail was lacking. 3. Nail Design: I requested flower designs on my nails, and the nail technician initially said she would "try it first" to see if I liked it. Unfortunately, I didn't like the design, but she dried my nails under the light before asking me if I liked them or not. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she couldn't understand me, so she called for front staff to assist with translation. They refused to remove it, claiming it had already dried and would require drilling to remove. This inflexibility in addressing my concerns was frustrating. 4. French Tip on Toes: During my pedicure, there was no natural or light pink color coat applied before the French tip. It was just clear. This is a basic step that was overlooked, and it left me feeling like the quality of service was subpar. 5. Customer Service: To make matters worse, I was charged for the designs on my nails even though both the technician and the front staff were aware of my dissatisfaction. Their response was dismissive, attributing it to a miscommunication and offering no resolution. In conclusion, my first experience at Ascend Spa was far from enjoyable. The extended appointment time, poor execution of services, and lack of responsiveness to my concerns left me deeply disappointed. Amazing salon and staff and very pretty interior!!! I came in about 3 and a half weeks ago for a gel manicure as a walk-in and the service was really great they were able to take me in accommodate all my needs. The technician i got was very patient with me since i was being very picky with the colors and she was very nice to me and treated me well. These are the nails she did for and even after almost 4 weeks later they're still in tact, no gel has chipped or cracked nor has my actual nails broken off. excuse the blurry pictures :) read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I will never go to another nail salon again! They have extremely nice staff, especially the receptionist she is just a sweetheart. I would like to give a special shoutout to the nail technician Michelle, she really knows how to massage and I always leave feeling nice and relaxed. I always do full set and acrylics so my natural nails was not healthy at all. After tried the paraffin treatment with gel polish on my natural nail at Ascend Nail - I just in love with it so much. My natural nail was never getting healthy like this before. They did a really good job with nail art and gel on my hands, it turns out so much better than I expected.
