It was buffet style. I got 3 items for under $6. The fried chicken was pretty good and crunchy. The mangolian beef was bland it lacked taste. It was also chewy kinda wonder if its beef, lol. The orange chicken was ok, but felt like not enough chicken under all that batter. The chowmein and rice was below average, nothin impressive. I was craving soup and wanted something to go and found Asian Delight. I ordered the wonton soup - $3.50. The serving was REALLY large and came with lots of small wontons and several pieces of large bok choy veggies. Overall the soup was good, and I will be back to try other things. read more

I been going here since 2011. Back then food use to be real cheap and they put alot in the box. So I just usually order Combo A cause it's real full u can barely close it. As of now Combo A would cost you $6 and it's not full as its use to. The Asian Ladies are hard to communicate with. I caught one of them putting back the chow mein that fell to the floor and orange chicken that was mix up to another food trays. Recently I went here i was in a rush to order I bought 4 orders and I didnt bother checking when I got home the food they gave me is different from what I ordered and the lady tried to cheat me saying I haven't paid for the 10 cent bag but I showed her the receipt and at first she still claiming I didnt pay but she see my mad face so she decided to give it to me. I hate how she trying to play me and probably think I'm dumb for it. I still will be coming back to Asian Delight when I need a emergency food to take out. read more

Boy! Do I miss this place! I used to go here all the time when I lived in Hayward! Fast, cheap and lots of Chinese food! Usually a long line, and parking kind of sucks, but it's totally worth it! $5-6 for food to last you two meals! They will pack the cartons of food so full, they will barely stay closed! Had heard a lot about this place so decided yo give it a try. Yes, they're always busy & yes they give you a lot of food but that doesn't make up for service. Was standing in front of line for at least 5 minutes before someone came to take my order (even though they were right there behind the counter). When she finally did start taking my order she left me in the middle of me ordering 3 times to answer the phone without saying "Excuse me" or anything. My sister loves this place. As other yelp'ers have commented, huge portions for a fair price. I'm not big on Chinese food so I guess I'm a bit bias. However, the fish pieces that my sister always gets is great. I enjoy. However, I must warn it's pretty much just fried goodness. read more

When I first came here, the line was literally out the door. It's so popular for it's cheap prices and HUGE portions. My first experience here was interesting. The food was okay, but the customer service was terrible. The lady that was serving the food was chinese, with a hard time speaking english. She was also extremely rude. I felt like she was easily getting frustrated when she didn't understand what i was saying. I was constantly repeating my order, and when she got to her breaking point she went off in chinese. BEWARE, FOOD POISONING FROM THIS PLACE!!! Ive been a regular at Asia delight for over a year now because of their really low prices on there combo plates, along with the generous portions sizes. The food is pretty decent for fast Chinese food, but definitely good for something quick, fast, and cheap. I'm writing this review because on Christmas I ate their fried fish for the first time and got terrible food poisoning the day after Christmas. ( which is my birthday as well) I was so sick with vomiting and diarrhea all day and night, and found out that other people who attended the party and ate the same thing experience similar symptoms. I wish they wouldn't leave their door open because there was a lot of flies when I walked in. I ordered the Combo A, my side chicken chowmein, and my entree mix vegetables with shrimp. Entree tasted good but had too many celery pieces, the celery tasted awful. The chicken chowmein is still very appetizing. I noticed one thing as I got to the register. Little footprint stains, hand prints dirtying the surface right next to where the register stands. How unsanitary and lazy are you to think this is a clean place to eat at.
