Kung Poe chicken, green beans and chicken, fried rice, chow mien and fried fish with jalapeño slices. Egg roll and pot stickers too!

This place is awesome! Their food was piping hot and the portions were generous! Their fish fried was outstanding. It was crispy and the slices of jalapeño gave it great flavor. The green bean with chicken were cooked to perfection and were fresh and crunchy! The chow mien and fried rice were also delicious! I had to order egg rolls and pot stickers just because very food item looked delicious! The place had limited seating. However, the tables we're all full and the line was out the door! Staff was friendly and helpful. I give this place a 5 stars and recommend the fish especially! The food is reasonably priced and the portion were generous.

My go-to Chinese food spot! Staff is fast, and efficient! Lots of parking available and their food is delish! Not to mention $12.99 for a 3 item is affordable. Food is on point and portions are huge. They fill containers to the brim! My faves are the salt and pepper fish (you can see they fill the container), orange chicken, bbq pork. There's a good variety to choose from chicken, veggies, pork, beef, and fish which is great when you're feeding the family. My kids love the veggies here so it's a definite plus.

First time trying this spot! The food is delicious! They give you generous portions! It's quick and fast service!

Basic, no frills, Chinese food that's actually good. They are conveniently located by Kennedy park in Hayward. At first sight, the place looks like a dive with a homeless person wandering outside in the parking lot. But inside is quite neat with a few tables (that no one was using). This is your typical cafeteria style Chinese food, where you point to what you want. We tried their 2 entree combo, which includes chow mein or fried rice. The food was surprisingly good, so we decided to order a few party trays for a birthday party at Kennedy park the following weekend. Everyone at the party enjoyed the food. What we ordered: + Chicken chow mein - nice chewy noodles with a some veggies and chicken. + Beef chow fun - these are flat rice noodles, stir fried in soy sauce. Tasty and there was plenty of beef. + Broccoli beef - good flavor and the broccoli had the perfect texture - not mushy, but not undercooked either. + Salt & Pepper chicken wings - these are SO good. Very crispy outside and juicy inside. You get wings and drumettes. Wish they were located closer to where I live.

There's usually a pretty good line right by the register, so this place is pretty well known by the Asian locals. Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup ($16/2*) First outing here I sat for lunch and tried this. Surprisingly disappointing seeing how busy and popular this place is. The wontons were okay, decent flavor with a strong sesame oil presence. But they weren't that plump and luxurious, just seemed like homemade/amateur versions. Which is fine, except given the nicer restaurant feel, I just expected something more elevated. The noodles were fine, super thin egg noodles that had a nice QQ. BUT their broth was so bland and unremarkable that it kinda ruined the whole experience. I couldn't even taste/detect the protein that made up the stock, just tasted like murky liquid to me. And zero condiments on the table, so I just ate the wontons and the plain tasting noodles cuz the broth couldn't offer anything to the noodles. Womp womp. And their bowl of choice is very weird to eat from. Super tall bowl that if you leave a spoon in there it will sink and be submerged for you to fish out...in piping hot liquid. If I would have reviewed this place just on this one visit, then it surely would have been a sub 3* rating. But I knew I couldn't leave my impression with that one lone visit. Roast Duck - Half ($20/4*) Came back for some take-out deli items and I was handsomely rewarded. Total 180 experience from the soup outing. Their ducks here are slightly more expensive than most others for the area. But it is still worth it imo. They cut it with good skill and even for a take-out box they present it nicely, with the shape of duck still somewhat intact. The skin is not crisp at all but it is very well rendered. Some pieces were not that salty at all but some other pieces are well seasoned, which I thought was strange. But overall a very solid roast duck is to be found here. There's also a big scoop of these tiny beans that are slightly sweet almost like baked beans just not as gloopy. But the bean texture is very al dente, almost crunchy, which I found very strange. Macao Roast Pork w/ Rice ($19/4.5*) This is crazy good...I'll even say special. Super seasoned pork belly is roasted til the skin gets crisp...like chicharon status, except it is just a very thin layer of crispness. So the balance between the sturdy crunch and juicy flavorful meat was practically perfect. It is definitely on the salty side, almost the same intenseness as eating Spam with white rice, but white rice offsets those salty components beautifully. And they garnish this massive plate with perfectly blanched gai lan (Chinese Broccoli) and some other pickled greens that add a nice sweet and tangy component. So between the decadent pork, white rice and diverse greens offerings just made this a complete one stop shop that could make a regular out of me. There's also a Share Tea next door so I've got a harmonious tandem going on here. Lucky Ducky Me yassss!

The service is what you'd expect--typical Chinese efficiency, which is no-nonsense, LOL. No chitchat, just serve. Don't expect your food to come faster than the to-go line, FYI. They don't treat in-house customers as a priority. I'll go back to this place whenever I have a chance. Order ahead if you're in a rush--this is not a fast place. But you can always count on their quality.

My group and I stopped by recently for morning dim sum, and we were incredibly impressed by the changes. The Atmosphere & Vibes The modern, newly remodeled interior looks fantastic. The space feels much brighter, cleaner, and more upscale than before, making it a wonderful environment for everything from a casual family breakfast to a larger celebratory gathering. They've managed to create a contemporary look while keeping the welcoming energy alive. The Food: A Noticeable Step Up While the new decor is great, the real star of the show is the improved flavor and quality of the dim sum. You can tell they've refined their recipes and perhaps brought in some fresh culinary talent. Here were the standouts from our meal: Baked BBQ Pork Buns (Cha Siu Bao): Absolute perfection. The tops had that ideal, sweet, crumbly crust, and the pork filling was savory, rich, and not overly gelatinous. Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow): A true test of any dim sum kitchen. The skins were perfectly translucent and delicate without tearing, packed with plump, snappy shrimp that tasted incredibly fresh. Siu Mai: Flavorful, juicy, and well-seasoned. The texture was spot-on--not dense or heavy. Egg Tarts (Dan Tat): The puff pastry was beautifully laminated and flaky, holding a perfectly smooth, warm, and subtly sweet egg custard. Service & Value Despite the upgraded ambiance and food quality, the service remains efficient and attentive. Teas were kept hot and refilled promptly, and the dishes arrived fresh and steaming from the kitchen.

That all said: Compared to the rest of the Chinese food competition in the area, the meat portions are generous, meatier, bigger than others, some put too many vegetables to compensate for the lack of meat or small meat portions, the new Hong Kong gives you meatier, generous portions with just enough vegetables to enjoy the food. It was so nice to eat locally and have a good meal with great parking. They are in the Safeway shopping center and share a lot with them. The place is clean and bright, very inviting. Most of the party arrived before us so we were able to easily find our table. We were set next to the fish take, by the kitchen. It was a good arrangement. We had 2 tables with identical entrees. We ordered: Green Beans, Salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp fried rice (Everyone's least favorite dish), Chow Fun, duck, and probably some other dishes. The green beans were the best dish. The chicken wings were good, but not as flavorful as people hoped, they probably won't be ordered again. The fired rice was a big disappointed, it had shrimp in it, but it lacked flavor. We didn't get a soup. We also had a steamed fish which was really good, coming from a not big fish fan. It was seasoned with soy sauce and was a big hit with the table. Even my picky nephew ate some. We also had calamari, it wasn't a big hit, we didn't even take it home with the leftovers. We all got tea and we asked for ice water for everyone which was drank along with the tea. If you request it they will bring out forks, my brother in law made the request. I was impressed even the kids used chopsticks. I definitely reccomend this restaurant. Especially for large groups. It's set up for banquets. I can't comment on the bathroom, because we didn't use it.

We thought the food was pretty good so we decided to come back for Father's Day. They serve the usual Cantonese favorites, but what makes this place special is that they specialize in Hoisan cuisine. The prices are reasonable, and while the restaurant itself is a little dated, I'm there for the food, not the decor. I'll be honest the service isn't the warmest, so don't come expecting a lot of attention. But the food is the reason people come here. We ordered several dishes, but the dish that really stood out to me was the steamed pork with salted fish. The first bite immediately brought me back to my childhood. Looking around the dining room and seeing so many Hoisan families eating there made me feel like I had been transported back to my mom's home village. For me, that's what makes this place special is that it's authentic, comforting, and reminds me of my Hoisan family. I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was nearly empty, yet no one greeted us or offered seating until we walked to the register. We were placed at a table by the exit, and despite waiting about 20 minutes, no one came by until we flagged someone down. Even then, we were only given paper placemats and a single fork--no plates, napkins, or basic table setup. As the restaurant filled, every table seated after us was promptly attended to with full settings, tea, and quick order-taking. Meanwhile, we waited 30 minutes with no service. We had to wave someone down again just to place our order. By 7:15pm--60 minutes after arriving--we still had no plates, no bowls, and no food. When I went to the register to ask about our order, we were suddenly told it would be out "in a couple of minutes." The dishes finally arrived, minus one, and the food looked rushed and tasted bland. To top it off, when paying, they took my credit card and returned five minutes later claiming the machine "wasn't working" and asked for cash. While I don't make racial assumptions lightly, the contrast between how we were treated and how other guests were served was noticeable disappointing and discriminatory. Whatever the reason, the experience was unacceptable. We won't be returning.
