We were traveling through on our way home. I read the reviews, and decided to give it a try. The hostess and waitress were a Daughter Mother team, and very nice. We were going to get the all-you-can-eat buffet (Thursday & Sunday); but we could not afford $19/pp (2 adults & 2 kids). We ordered chicken pad Thai for our kids, hubby & I split a bento box. In our bento box we had a California roll, a spring roll, salmon crunch roll, steamed rice, and shrimp teriyaki. The food was THE BEST FOOD I've had out in a long time. The teriyaki shrimp had a delicate light non greasy flavorful sauce, the vegetables used were crisp and fresh. The salmon crinch sushi tasted fresh, and was not overpowered by spicy mayo, we loved it. The spring roll was crisp on the outside and fresh on the inside. The chicken pad Thai we got for the kids, was so yummy. The sauce was so good and not over powered by a peanut flavor. The bill came and I was happily surprised to see it was under $40. The waitress was so nice, she gave us ample time to try the food before asking how it was; and ample time to finish (we needed it with 2 young children). We got a Gift Certificate to this restaurant and decided to try it out. Couldn't find it at first, it is a very small place tucked behind 2 other small restaurants. Inside it was clean and cute, but very small. The waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered a Tempura Bento Box, a Chicken Tempura entrée, a Kid's meal, and Thai Coconut soup and some Sushi/Rolls. The portions were generous, the presentation was wonderful, the sauces delicious. It was the best Japanese food we have ever had. I was so sad to see the place nearly empty. It was about 8pm on a monday night, cant fault them for that. The food was in a word..fantastic. I ordered the thai chicken soup with coconut milk. I took my girlfriend who is fairly new to the country and she was not really sure about sushi but she was a good sport until..... the miso soup came. The food was ok and the inside was dark and nice. The thing that dropped this place from getting three stars is the service. We had 2 or 3 different waiters. Food was forgotten. The group I came with all decided to get the all you can eat. There are 5 sections on a menu and you tic off what you would like. Once you get everything you ordered off that menu you can fill out another card and so on and so on. I've heard people have gone 6 rounds. Not this cat. We ended up doing around 2-3 rounds per person. Now maybe the pace is something I'm not used to, maybe this place purposely serves slow, idk. I haven't tried the sushi here but I'm not a fan of the California rolls that they include in their lunch combos so I've never felt particularly motivated to try their other sushi menu items. I was a die hard Mr Sushi fan until this moment. After reading reviews and finding a coupon on local flavor, I decided to try it. At first glance, it's a hole in the wall. We walked in and no one else was there. As you can imagine we were very skeptical. The decor isn't anything fancy and it's rather small inside. Although no one was seated inside, the sushi chef was busy. After we ordered, slowly people started coming in. My skepticism was also slowing. We ordered about 7 different rolls. Everything was done faster than mr sushi. I was amazed. One taste of a simple philli roll and I was sold. Everything tasted so good. I left disgustingly full. What a nice surprise! Started with the Sweet Potato Role and Harumaki vegetable roll. Thin slices of sweet potato in tempura wrapped in nori and rice, delicious! The Harumaki was crispy on the outside and so flavorful! The Udon soup had a flavorful broth, noodles cooked just right, and a generous serving of beef and vegetables. Me and my husband came here on a Sunday for the all you can eat sushi. They gave us one sheet each but when I read the reviews I was told it was wise to start off with at least two sheets. We ordered and only got a portion of our order fried shrimp and my boyfriend ordered edamame. We noticed people walking in after us and receiving their full meals and sushi. We just left bad service no one came to us and asked us if we were being served and this is a very small place. I am so happy we did. We started our journey with Satay Chicken and Shumai. Which were both delightful and flavorful. We moved on to Shrimp Pad Thai which also well prepared. I was craving some Pad Thai, so my boyfriend and I looked up local places and off we went to Asian 211 Bistro. It was one of the most disappointing dining experiences of my life. The service was incredibly slow and the waitress was sweet, but inattentive. They brought us both house salads, even though I requested miso, but we were waiting so long that I was starving and didn't care. Our appetizers were okay, my boyfriend liked his chicken satay, but my veggie dumplings were a little undercooked and gummy. Finally, our entrees arrived. My boyfriend's meal was too spicy and he couldn't even eat most of it. I had gotten the Pad Thai and it was disgusting. I'm not usually that harsh, but it tasted like someone opened a can of Rague sauce, added a bunch of sugar to it and tossed the noodles in it. My boyfriend tasted it as well and he actually asked me why I was eating it because it was disgusting! I've eaten Thai at many places around the country and this was the worst. The waitress forgot about our avocado roll until we reminded her about it. I'm grateful we ordered it because we would have left hungry as we could barely eat our entrees.
