Went on a weekday for lunch and there were many booths with open seating. The tables are well kempt but the booth chairs were ripped and stuffing was kind of spilling out. The selection is solid for a lunch buffet. You get things from stir fry string beans to california rolls to BBQ pork to prawns. Food was warm but looks like it was sitting out for awhile as some of the noodles tasted stale. But flavors were good! Staff were attentive and friendly

This place is a solid option if you're looking for an affordable all-you-can-eat spot. The prices are noticeably better than most other buffets in the area, which makes it a great choice when you want something quick and satisfying without spending too much. The dessert section, however, could use improvement, as most of the sweets are pretty underwhelming. Me and my crew needed some dinner and one way to please everybody is a buffet. Same price for everybody and you just get what you want, no waiting or putting in orders. You get to see the food before it gets to your plate! I found Asian Buffet on the Yelp and saw it was right off the freeway. Just get off the 101 at East 10th and go south on Automall Parkway and then your right there in the first shopping center. It all the way in the back. We get seated easy, just water to drink please. The food here is basically the same as most Chinese buffets in the country, unless you're in a high Asian population area. Those buffets will have more of the real authentic Chinese stuff, like some animals you didn't know you could eat! Here pretty much standard American Chinese stuff, like egg rolls, chow mien, egg drop soup, green beans and that general chicken. The chicken wings were good and I liked the clams. Everybody was fed and the food was decent, nothing earth shattering, but good for Gilroy area. Service was just as minimal as any Chinese buffet, they clear the dishes basically.

There was a vast selection of different dishes to choose from. Most of them looked good, some maybe a little long sitting in the warmer. Staff was friendly and service great. Pricing was very fair as well. Overall a nice dining experience!

I went here on a Sunday around 7pm for dinner and there was no wait! I was a little surprised by that since most buffets I go to tends to have a wait. Anyways, this buffet looked a bit on the smaller side. I'm not really used to that, but the food I tried was pretty good. There isn't much variety here, but my favorite items was their sushi pieces, but everything still tasted good, so I'm happy about that. I'd recommend this place! The food tasted good and it will fill you up. Yes, it's not the best buffet out there since it's a very simple buffet, but it's not too pricey. It's a good place if you just want a simple meal with some variety.

Love the ribs, good broccoli, beef sweet-and-sour pork is good and the popcorn shrimp very tasty I also like the hot and sour soup.

This place is GREAT... I've had a gastric bypass surgery ten years ago and this is one of TWO places I've eaten at that makes me regrett having it done. The food is AMAZING. Taste and quality can't be beat! The ONLY thing I cant comment on is the Suchi, I never liked it so I didn't try it! read more

Very good food consider the price! The fried sesame ball is awesome and It is like the dim sum from those expensive restaurant! The fried calamari is also excellent! Staffs clean dishes often and very polite! Too bad I do not live in Gilroy. read more

This place is a great choice if you have kids and if you want variety.. It's not Milpitas buffet and for sure not Tomi.. It has hot and sour soup and egg drop soup.. A variety of vegetable dishes and a small sushi bar. Adequate dessert option.. They have clams which my family loved and salt and pepper shrimp.. Crab rangoon and salad bar.. If you are on a low carb diet it helps.. At lunch kids 2 to 5 eat for 2.50 and adults 8.75 on weekdays! Good value read more

A fairly wide selection of items, although quite a few were mislabeled. The price was inexpensive. The décor was ageing and some redecoration would bring life back to the place. Many of the dishes were almost cold or barely lukewarm - the staff did not seem interested when we told them. I would go back as there are few alternatives in the area. read more

My husband was very hungry and wanted Chinese food. Do, what I do best went on Yelp and found Chinese Buffet. Arrived was greeted by a pleasant gentleman was promptly seated. Yum. Went with the hubby, kids and their grandmother. They service folks were really nice. The food was solid Asian buffet. Like others said, pretty much everything I put on my plate was tasty, not like the kind of buffets where you taste and reject and then worry because you are wasting food. Just an update....I went back to Asian Buffet on 10th st Gilroy. This time I brought my wife....she was so impressed. The food is amazing and so is the value. A great price for the food you get. She was blown away all the shrimp, crab and sushi you can eat. Amazing place! read more

I don't know if we came at the wrong time of day, or what but everything was cold and look like and tasted like it had been sitting there for quite some time. The crawfish were rubbery, the tuna of the sushi was brown, the chow mein and fried rice tasted exactly the same, the orange chicken was hard like it been sitting there a while...I could go on and on. I knew from the funky seafood smell when we first walked in that this was not going to end well. read more

This is my first ever Yelp review and I'd give ZERO stars if I could!I came to this Buffet because it had decent reviews and boy are they wrong.. I arrived at 7:45pm and they close at 9pm. The food...ALL OF IT...was cold. The flavors were ok, but all of it cold! I kept trying different things, but nothing was even warm. I told my server that the flavors were good, but the food was cold and she said it was because it was close to closing! They do not close for an hour! As I paid, I again told the manager the same thing and she said I should come in the morning! What!? No offer to half my bill, nothing, which I feel was fair since I did eat a tiny bit. I said No, that I wouldn't come in the morning and she said, "Oh, you only eat it at dinner?" I said that it shouldn't matter what time someone comes there to eat, the food should always be fresh and hot and this wasn't either! So apparently you can only expect hit food during lunch! That's it, $13.00 wasted and I'll never go back. read more

Nice little restaurant. Prices are VERY reasonable...actually cheap :) The vegetables in any of the dishes were very well prepared. Wait staff were very nice and attentive without being intrusive. My only criticism would be almost all the sushi rolls contained avocado. I guess it's a California thing :) read more

I'm not gonna be too critical since it barely opened but they had some really good options for an Asian buffet and it isn't too expensive at 11.75 a person (cheaper for a kid). The dessert table could use a little more effort but other than that it was good. The busier it gets the more the food will be nice and fresh. read more

Went for lunch this past Saturday. Place looked very nice, and clean upon entering. Staff is friendly and attentive. Now for the food; There were probably 6-7 different chicken choices (not much variety). Most tasted just like the other. Everything seemed to be cooked in the same oil and had little flavor. Most dishes were overlooked and tough. Beef and Broccoli was very oily and the beef not very tender. I love Hot and Sour Soup and was very disappointed in this one. Soup tasted like hot water with a little chili oil and not much else. I arrived right around 1pm and most dishes looked like they had been there for some time. I gave 3 stars based on the staff, only 2 for the food. read more

Stopped in for lunch with the family. I'm visiting from Oregon (born and raised in Gilroy) and have watched how Gilroy has changed and grown. This is one of the more wallet friendly places to eat. They had a nice spread, a little something for everyone and the sushi bar was good. They had the seaweed salad there which is my favorite. Salad bar looked good too but I went in for the protein rush. Several chicken dishes, broccoli beef and shrimp was all good. A great place of the beaten path. Nice and clean, good service and great price (less than $10 each). read more

Finally! A good tasting Chinese buffet in Gilroy. They have a good selection for their lunch buffet and for $8.95, you cannot beat that. Their sushi taste pretty good too. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean. I am going to be a regular here as long as the food quality and taste is maintained. read more

The dim sum sampler was mostly average. The only piece we could not eat because we found it disgusting was the chicken mochi. My partner said the chow mein was something he would come back for. If that was the only thing he ate it would be 5 stars. I ate the Shanghai Noodle Three delight. It was not a delight. It advertised having items like noodles, bean sprouts, onions, chicken, egg, shrimp, and calamari. After ordering I found it is supposed to come with 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of calamari. My plate only had two pieces of calamari. At first I was disappointed there wasn't more calamari, but then I tasted it. The calamari tasted rubbery, tough, and no good flavor. When I brought the problem of only having 2 pieces of calamari and they only said it usually tastes like that and I should have gotten three pieces. (So no solution.) My advice to the restaurant, if you know the majority of your customers think the calamari is disappointing, don't serve calamari. The dish would have been much better if you put more shrimp and deleted the calamari. (Without up charging customers.) The servers were kind and friendly. It did seem weird how busy they were when there were only two tables eating at the place. We barely saw them but they did fill up our drinks before we thought to ask.

We arrived at M Noodle & Cafe for a Friday dinner recently. The restaurant is located in a small plaza off Monterey Road and 10th street in Gilroy. Parking is accessible in the medium size parking lot. The restaurant is an adequate size with plenty of tables for dine in. There is a cultural modern decor that gave an authentic ambience. The vibe was family friendly and welcoming. They have been around for over 6 years now. We ordered vermicelli with bbq pork and shrimp, beef ball noodle, and a beef stew with tendon. Everything was delicious. The broth was warm and flavorful. The tendon beef and bbq pork was tender and juicy. Overall we enjoyed our experience at M Noodle & Cafe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our food came out quick and the price point was fair. We hope to be back when we are in the area.

I never used to eat at McDonalds, but after I got out of the hospital, I eat there a lot (it's all I can afford - if that) and I'm always trying to pay attention to the McD points so I can get more food. That being said, going to Chama is either because of some miraculous unplanned result, or deliberately saving money for the better part of a year. The worst result of my new life with these injuries is I can't take care of M as much as I'd like. We did take M to Chama for her birthday a couple years ago and she has always been wanting to go back every day since then. Recently, she requested to choose where we would have dinner, and in addition she said we couldn't change her mind. We weren't even sure until we arrived that she had chosen Chama (so that implies Chama is her favorite restaurant - even though she's been to a lot of nice places including in Monterey and on the ocean side). We could only afford to get just M a meal and Grace was really nervous that us being on a really obvious budget and being out of place would cause the staff to be upset or impatient with us. Actually, the staff was super nice and accommodating to M, and to all of us. That could only happen because the Chama staff and Terry our waitress treated us like family. If you put me at the McD ordering kiosk, I'm pretty good at navigating my way through ordering and making sure I use up my points before they expire. But we were lost as to how ordering worked at Chama, and I couldn't remember anything I learned from the last couple times before when I was there. Terry was really patient explaining how to order, and helped M choose a meal option / buffet that was perfect for her. All three times I've been there the staff has been great. Recently was M's second time and we appreciated that the staff would be so kind to a child. There's something special and permanent about a child's memory eating at their favorite restaurant in the world. We appreciate that Chama staff and Terry made the effort to make that dinner magical and inviting. We have a really good memory now of a family together having that amazing experience. I like M had an unusual opportunity to plan our evening and restaurant choice, she did make the plans, and she had such a memorable shared adventure and outcome. Thank you!

The guy at the very end asked us if it's a special occasion (shouldn't this have been asked in the beginning?) we told him it's our anniversary, and he basically took it as us asking for more napkins. When you come to a buffet you get one of everything that you want to try and ten after that if you still have room, get more of what you really liked. The sushi was really delicious. I couldn't believe they had raw sushi. I was skeptical that it would be not fresh but it wasn't!!! That's a first. I also made my own chow mein. It's like a great khans but no limit on how much you want. Just as a warning, make on to share. I got too much. I hate wasting food. You can have your egg either scramble or sunny side up. They had a lot of dumplings but hey were dessert dumplings. They also had clams which went like crazy. A lot of fried food. They had ice cream but they use water instead of cream or yogurt so I didn't like it. They had a dessert section and a guilt and hello section. My favorite was the lychee jello.
