Inside is clean and appealing. Wrapped food up nice, and the boba tea is good, nice amount of tapioca pearls. The food I didn't love though. Egg rolls are good, but the pork fried rice is not fried rice at all. More like steamed. Disappointed, I didn't want mushy rice. Nothing too amazing but not completely horrible either. Stopped here today for the first time to pick up lunch. It's a takeout counter with three tables with a bubble tea counter up front. Ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young, a childhood favorite, with pork fried rice and hot and sour soup for $10 all in. The shrimp egg foo young was great, nice and velvety the way I like it, the gravy had a layer of oil on top, but had a nice flavor. I believe the wok they used to heat up the gravy was too oily. Interestingly, the fried rice was also very oily, so maybe the cooks are a bit heavy handed with it. The hot and sour soup tasted good, was super thick, but had some pieces of vegetable, I think maybe bamboo sprouts, which were too chewy to swallow. If you like egg foo young, this is a great place to try take out. read more

Disguised as a fast food chinese place, great East has a huge menu with some very good chefs! Glad we have this gem in the area. Of course I get my chicken wings and fried rice (guilty pleasure) but they are skilled in making flavorful Singapore mei fun (perfect with loads of meat, not stingy) and other dishes. Their pork and onions dish was surprisingly good, and we always get their hot and sour soup!! Check out their specials too where you get free stuff for spending over a certain amount. We ordered in person and waited there for around 20 minutes for six dishes. read more

This place used to be Tony's Asia. I didn't mind the food there but as the name and the owners changed (I'm assuming they changed??), the food has gotten better! I'm pretty surprised the food tastes fresher. I stood watching them cook my food and thank God they didn't drop anything! I've seen a place do that and just throw it back in the deep fryer... anyways! They were pretty clean and they were pretty fast. The seating area is clean as well. I like their fried chicken in the appetizer section but I haven't tried the Korean style fried chicken. Their GT chicken because it's not as spicy I wanted it but it's not bad. Pepper steak with the pork fried rice is pretty good too. To be honest, I stocked up on their food for the snow storm. I was in fatty food heaven! There's street parking (metered) and there's parking in the back. You can always call ahead to order so you can just leave your car in the front, run in, and run back out with the food if you don't want to pay for parking. I wouldn't really recommend going to the back parking lot during certain times of the day because it can get congested and coming out of the parking area can be dangerous - only if the drivers on Union Street aren't paying attention! read more

We discovered this place because Chow's was closed. This place is awesome. Their beef chow fun is better than Chows because they put bean sprouts. That's just my opinion though. But everything is reasonably priced that's not on the lunch menu. They have a Chinatown section where there are popular dishes like in Chinatown in Manhattan. This is my new spot because they have bitter melon and chicken in black bean sauce over rice! Yes! Bitter melon! This is my absolute favorite dish there. Th portions are huge. Also they practice safety and covid health to the T! The place is immaculate, register and the front has a clear plastic sheet and the woman behind the counter has gloves and mask on. You have to put your money in a little handmade bin. It's absolutely contactless. And they set up the sink so you can wash your hands there if you need to. read more

We started going 3 months ago and have never been disappointed. The place is immaculately clean, the food is fresh, the service is pretty good, the delivery has been good, overall, everything has been great! This place has been here for years but have recently been partially owned by a korean owner. So far, i think the flavors have gotten better! Wonton egg drop soup: most chinese take out places have mushy wontons, little meat, and lack of flavor. But not this place. Their wontons are so flavorful, i was so suprised! I order this everytime. But the delivery did take a little while, it was also a friday though, so I cant blame them. I will see how it goes on a Monday or Tuesday. But I ordered the broccoli chicken with plain lo mein. It was so good. I loved it. And a good amount of food come with it. The broccoli chicken came with a little side of either brown or white rice.
