Asian Noodle House is a hidden gem in the suburb that serves SE Asian and East Asian dishes. Took couple of my friends who want to try Malaysian dishes here for lunch, so this review contains mainly Malaysian dishes we ordered. The prices are very reasonable. Note that no special handling on any food allergies. We opted to ordered something that's not commonly associated with Malaysian food (like Hainenese Chicken, Char Kueh Teow). These are some of my favorite growing up in Malaysia. There's also some special items not on the menu and you will have to know to ask. - House special spring rolls. Who doesn't like fried spring rolls? It has taro in the filling. - Malaysian seafood chow fun. The special part is this noodle dish is topped with a scrambled egg gravy. - Curry chicken rice. Malaysian curry is not the same as Thai or Indian curries due to the usage of different spices. It is also prepared with coconut milk. - Bak Kut Teh (a pork bone soup with herbs). On the menu, Bak Kut Teh is only available during weekend, but if you asked nicely, they will offer it to you. It is especially good on a cold day, because when it arrives in the clay pot, the soup is pipping hot! There's also a selection of drinks. We have Lychee drink, Thai Ice Tea, and Malaysian special - Cendol. It is a drink prepared with coconut milk and palm sugar mixed in with Cendol (a green jelly made from rice starch) and sweet red bean. A good introduction to Malaysian foods to my friends, and we will come back again to try other items. read more

I havent been here for a long time. I really like the egg and shrimp over rice which is now comparable to 7 Treasures in Chinatown. The noodles is very tasty, though you could taste the soy sauce, its not too salty. The other over rice dishes taste the same but yummy too. Service is quick and our server is very nice. Not pricey at all. It seems this is the only chinese place I went to that kept the prices less than $10! The place is clean. Lots of people eating. It has lots of parking too. read more

Everything said prior recent reviews is true. Food is served quickly and it's very reasonably priced in this Asian noodle restaurant. It was packed on a Monday night and they were doing a brisk take out business as well. No ambiance whatsoever unless you count the sound of the cooking utensils hitting the wok. But like my Father always said you can't eat ambiance. We enjoyed everything and it all came out piping hot on pretty china plates. Extra plates are provided in case you want to share family style. One star off because of the lack of description of ingredients in the dishes for those with food allergies. Our waitress couldn't understand our questions so to her credit she got another waitress to help us. I want to go back to try the Beef Pho. Lots of good slurping going on! This has been a staple in the area for as long as I can remember! How they can keep the prices so good even in this economy is so nice to see these days. Their food has always been so good, and their service is always fast. You might feel a bit rushed at times, but with the fast service you never have to wait too long for a table. My go to is their hainese chicken rice. Not many places have this dish and it's done well here. Very fresh tasting and the sauces that come with it are great. read more

This place is one of the most budget friendly places! Ridiculously huge portions of food that taste good and is cheap! They've got lots of delicious noodle options, my favorite being the combination chow fun (Malaysian style) it has this thick delicious sauce that I love. I tried their laksa and honestly not a huge fan, it's not as coconuty as normal laksa so I would personally pass, but if you would like it just ask the server, it's not on the menu. This was my first time trying pho 10/10 The food was so yummy and the prices were even better. Fast service, we received our meals in about 10 min. I forgot to take a picture of the sesame balls but I recommend them, they were really yummy, especially when they're nice and warm! They only have them certain days after 3PM. Laksa, Prawn Noodles, Kuay Teow, Chicken Rice, Bak Kut Teh... Nothing shouts Malaysian than these names on the menu!!! There's plenty of Asian dishes in the menu but the stand out is definitely Malaysian, where the owner comes from. WINK ** you can request for Laksa, which is available and not on the menu, which is absolutely my favorite noodle! A heavy hitter with heavy flavors and spice! Just perfect for winter! Hainanese Chicken Rice here is done really well. The rice is cooked with chicken broth and garlic, so very shiok~ (Malaysian slang for AWESOME) The Kuay Teow and Combo Chow Fun are also among our favorites! Come to Asian Noodle House to get your moneys worth! They have a great menu with good variety and value. I've been going here for over 10 years now and they're still going strong. Been here way too many times haha. Every time I go, I always order the fresh spring rolls and crab rangoons for appetizers. The fresh spring rolls are not something to rave about but they're a staple. They use shredded lettuce which is different but they do have a good amount of shrimp/chicken, and the peanut sauce is great. Crab rangoons here are delicious! For main dishes, we usually order P2 or P3 Pho. The pho here is a good 'bang for your buck'! I also really like the wonton noodle soups. The drinks here are also really good! I've had the Thai Tea, Black Milk Tea, Mango Smoothie, and Avocado Smoothie all with tapioca. The tapioca itself is not really good, but the drinks are great! They use real avocado in the smoothie and it's so yummy! Although the last time I got it, the drink was not blended all the way and there were so many ice chunks in the drink (as you can see in the photos I've uploaded). But I didn't mind. Pretty straightforward Asian joint consisting of various Asian dishes like Taiwanese beef noodle soup, Malaysian char kway teow, Vietnamese pho, and other stir fry dishes. With such a wide range of cuisines, no one dish really shone but everything was good. The value in terms of how little you pay and how quickly you get food combine for a satisfying meal that's easy to return to time after time. Their Malaysian char kuay teow mee, a stir-fried noodle dish with two varieties of noodles, bean sprouts, green onions, and shrimp, was my main course. So glad to find this Malaysian Restaurant in the western burbs. It is unfortunate that there's so few Malaysian restaurants in Illinois, but fortunately, Asian Noodle house, whose owner is from Klang, Malaysia, brings the flavors from "kumpung" (hometown). Even the sauces here sings MALAYSIAN! The Hainanese Chicken Rice is 5/5!!! The rice is cooked in chicken broth, lemongrass and garlic giving it its superb flavors! The Malaysian Char Kuey Teow, another 5/5! The "Malaysian" uniqueness is that its rice noodles and egg noodles combined, adding to the texture of every bite. omg authentic Malaysian food in Chicago suburbs?!?! This place was definitely a highlight during my trip here! Their food really brought me back to my childhood trips to KL and Penang. --Char Kuay Teow - Their kuay teow noodles were cooked just right and super flavorful! Loved the ratio of noodles to shrimp and bean sprouts. The white pepper aroma was off the roof and made the entire dish amazing. I like to pair it with their sambal sauce (their version of chilli oil). --Laska (off menu item) - Loved the combination of thin and thick noodles with a spicy, coconut-y curry soup base and lots of shrimp, fish balls, etc --Bak Keu Tei - Tender beef that falls right off the bones with a very solid soup filled with veggies and mushrooms. Again the pepper seasoning was amazing and so was the accompanying special soy sauce dip. --Chicken Curry - classic Malaysian curry that goes well with any meat tbh but delicious overall -Shrimp wonton and BBQ pork noodles - not their best dish but still very solid with al dente egg noodles. I just wish there was more soy sauce because it was a little bland and the wontons weren't as meaty as I had hoped. I was so sad that the Chendol wasn't available that night, but the fact its on the menu means its definitely legit Malaysia place!! If I'm ever in Chicago again, I'd 120% come back! read more

My friends moved to Hoffman and ordered out for us. Tried fried crab rangoon and beef chow fun. Both were yummy. The crab rangoon didn't have as much stuffing as in other places, but more fried crispy skin. The beef chow fun didn't have fat noodles like other places, but the thinner noodles still tasted good. My friends say they also have Malaysian food and recommended the fried udon, as well as the chow fun. It was hard looking at the menu on their phone bc there are so many options. This place in Hoffman Estates appears unassuming but it packs a lot of bite. The pan-fried seafood udon dish is solid - though the udon tend to be overdone (too soft) - and my 5-year-old nephew loves their mapo tofu (we order it non-spicy). The combination fried rice is well-seasoned and has a good assortment of seafood and BBQ pork chunks combined with beansprouts. You can order 4-5 dishes and the bill comes out to $60. comfort spot of all time. nothing beats the food from asian noodle house. from its affordable prices to their delicious foods, it really feels like i'm just at someone's house getting good home cooking. my gf and I always go for pho. it's the perfect noodle soup on cold days, hangover days, super hungry days, or just weird indecisive food decision days. their pho isn't the best i've had, but good enough to always satisfy my cravings for it. paired up with their Vietnamese Ice Coffee, which tbh is just a nice iced coffee with a little sweetness. but the shocker was their chicken wings. i didn't have much hope for them but i was proven wrong. they were so crispy, flavorful and addicting that i almost ordered another plate of them. lastly, (not pictured), but we got an order of combination site fried udon and taiwanese beef noodle soup to go. we love this place so much that we just wanted to have it again for dinner. all i say is both of those dishes slapped. only thing was the taiwanese beef noodle soup was a little salty so i kind of felt lethargic the next day. but it was so worth it for how addicting the soup was. the taste was very similar to the korean dish, galbi jim. all in all. anytime you have a craving for good noodle dishes, any rice dishes, or anything in the asian cuisine side. you best be coming to asian noodle house. i've never been disappointed at a visit, and tbh, this review is making me hungry so i may have to go again this weekend. read more

We did carry out today and we order lemongrass fried chicken wings(6 pieces), beef rice noodles, shrimp won ton soup, seafood udon and Taiwanese beef noodle soup! The lemongrass fried chicken didn't really had too much taste and didn't taste any lemongrass whatsoever! The beef rice noodles was ok, the beef was really dry! The shrimp won ton was the best, the soup was in a separate container and it was still hot. The seafood udon was kinda mushy and not enough seafood! Final item, the Taiwanese beef noodle soup was salty and the beef tendons were not soft, we had to cut the beef tendons with a knife. Overall, the food was ok but the service was excellent, got there and the food was ready and they used the contactless handheld credit machine to take my payment! The best Malaysian food in Chicagoland area. Love the cah kwe tiaw, it can be customized with other meats. Bak kut teh is so authentic. Fried rice with salty fish or BBQ pork is great too. Came here to try a new Chinese restaurant that I haven't tried yet before. The setting is simple and a bit weird, with the kitchen in the middle and seating around it in an L shape. The servers didn't have anywhere to stand while they were waiting to service the tables, so they hung out in front of the kitchen area... which was right next to our table in the middle room of the room. It was a bit annoying to have 3 servers just hanging out right next to us while we were eating, just chit-chatting and staring at us eat. The B2 Braised noodles with BBQ pork, served with shrimp wonton was pretty good. The H6 Bak Kut Teh (spare ribs & mushroom stewed in Chinese herbs) -- small size was a bit disappointing. I was envisioning a bowl of clear broth with a giant rib bone in it like I got in Singapore. But instead I got a bunch of little short ribs that was mostly cartilage, and lots of pieces of what looked like stomach? Yuck. I couldn't eat it. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but I didn't really enjoy the meal that much. They didn't give us any rice bowls, either. So it was weird to be eating rice off a plate with chopsticks. Casual restaurant serving a wide variety of delicious East Asian/Southeast Asian food. Plus, this place has possibly the best value you'll find in Chicagoland - a large amount of the menu is around $6 and those are still solid portion sizes (so solid that I myself always have leftovers). My go-to (and that of my parents as well) is the char kway teow. We love it so much that there have been several occasions where all 3 of us order it. :D Protip: if you like spicy, ask for some sambal (chili) on the side as it goes nicely with the dish. Other dishes I quite like here are the classic ma po tofu (comes over rice) and laksa (a Southeast Asian curry noodle soup that is pretty hard to find). To finish off the meal, the red bean paste-filled sesame balls are top-notch. Usually there isn't a wait unless you come during popular meal times (e.g. Saturday lunch and dinner) but even then I don't think I've ever waited more than 20ish minutes. read more

It's been over a decade since I last came here and the food was still just as good. Even the price was cheap still even with the pandemic going on. For those that are familiar with Joy Yee's from the Chicagoland area, it's like a small humble version of that. No frills, but just cheap good food. A hole in the wall that's straight to the point. Everything looked the same aside from their new layout with carry-out only being available. It's definitely a nice alternative as opposed to driving all the way into the city to get to Chinatown. Being able to stay in the burbs and still get your pan-Asian food fix is a nice perk. You get the option to try a little bit of everything from their menu.
