They have quite a few employees refilling drinks and removing finished plates promptly. My sister got the garlic chicken and veggies with rice. It has a tasty sauce! My dad got the rare steak pho. He very much enjoyed it! I got the beef chow fun which was alright. I added soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and red garlic chili to give it more flavor. All of our dishes were roughly $8.50 pre tax. The Curry Chicken was bone in which is acceptable but the bones included sharp edge bones that you could only tell after it was in your mouth. Also it had a weak spice level for curry. I did like the Pho noodles with pork filled dumplings. Server knew nothing about the menu. read more

Asian Noodle House offers select Singapore/Malaysian off menu items. Ask the server. Ours was super knowledgeable and could list off all the ingredients in the dishes. Rojak (4.5/5): my favorite dish! Comes with jicama, cucumbers, mango, pineapples, and fried dough (you tiao) in a sweet shrimp sauce topped with crunchy peanuts. Granted this was my first time ever eating this, but my Singaporean friends attested that it was "nice". Sooo good! Singapore char gway Teow (4/5): good! Enjoyed every bite. Curry Laksa(3.5/5): flavor was good (strong on the lemongrass) but too soupy. It would've been better if the curry was more of a paste. Gai lan with oyster sauce (5/5): another favorite. The gai lan was super tender and cooked perfectly. Goes so well with oyster sauce and crunchy onion bits Hainanese chicken (2/5): Not very good. Chicken was dry and rice unflavorful, mushy. I went there today for Mother's Day. It wasn't that packed and we got seated right away. The staff is very nice and friendly. Got our food fast, and it was SO GOOD! I honestly didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Both me and my daughter ordered udon noodles which are so yummy and soft and their chicken fried rice is cooked to perfection. Dang this place is really good. The BBQ pork Wonton noodle soup was delicious. I'm very happy I found this restaurant, my first time here. Our family was dining this restaurant more than 10 years. I just found out they add on the 15% tip in the bill. I don't know it was recent changes or i have not known this all along. I know this restaurant is locals favorite because of the reasonable price and quality of the food. But not inform this info to the customers is not right. If i did not check the bill. I would give double tips. We ate $63 but the bill was $73 with tip and i would give them another $12 That means i would give them $22 tip. I told my waitress this check was not correct and then she told me about the tip was included. And her excuse was that she is kinda new in the restaurant. read more

This might not be a fancy restaurant but definitely where I go for my comfort foods. They sell authentic southeast Asian foods. Their services are quick and nice. Even their price is unbeatable. My favorite dishes here are Bak kut teh (Pork rib "tea" soup) and Laksa. The pork ribs in the Bak kut teh were so soft. The soup was very flavorful that I could tell they used all those herbs, spices, and soy sauce. Sorry if you prefer the no soy sauce version of Bak kut teh. I love both of them. I didn't find Laksa on the menu so I asked if they had it. The answer was a "Yes"! Not sure if it is a secret dish. I loved it so much. It had everything you expected from a curry laksa: curry coconut soup base, yellow noodle, bean curds, bean sprouts, shrimp, etc. and it tasted so good. I have tried their other dishes such as fried chicken wings (great), beef noodle (soup was great, noodle was OK), beef Pho (good), spring roll (OK), and Char kway teow (great). Bang for your buck! That's all I can say. Their food's pretty good and their servings are huge! You can get a decent meal for just 6 bucks! I wasn't a fan of the duck (I feel like it tasted too duck-y? If you get what I mean). The chicken was crispy, pork bbq & fried rice seasoned well, and their staff is very nice. I definitely want to try out their other dishes. I think they're a step up compared to the small take out Chinese food places, but it won't be the first place I'll think of when I want to bring guests for a nice dinner out. read more

Haven't been here for a while and ordered takeout for dinner. We got the beef tendon/well done beef pho, BBQ pork rice plate, and nasi lemak. All were delicious, noodles didn't look like much in the takeout container but was definitely enough once you put it together in a bowl. BBQ pork was sweet and satisfying. Right next to the Valli grocers, Asian Noodle House offers quick and a cheap meal. I was actually really surprised by the service here! There was a guy standing by the door waiting to take my order. A lot of the meals here are under $8 and can easily feed 2. I got my order within 10min. That's fast food!! They also have Chinese roast duck here which I wasn't expecting and you can order larger sizes which is off the menu. I heart ANH. I started coming to this place as soon as I moved to Schaumburg with friends. It's amazingly cheap ($5 for most entrees) and the food is amazing for the price. I usually get one of two things the Black Mushroom Chicken & Rice or the BBQ Pork with Rice...both are AWESOME! I have tried a bunch of other dishes on the menu though and have never had a bad dish. My new favorite is the Ma Po Tofu...I've been getting it every time I go (which is at least once a week). The Ma Po Tofu is a huge portion and I always end up taking half home! I tried the Cuttlefish Balls for the first time this week. I admit I was freaked out by the name but they are like upgraded fish stick balls! I'm completely addicted to their jin deui now. They put a tad too many sesame seeds on the outside but I just scrape a few off and bite into the rice floury & red bean paste goodness! They are always just the right temperature of warmness, crispy on the outside, ooey and gooey on the inside! I will never skip the Sesame Seed Balls again! The service is surprisingly good for such a cheap sit down place...the water is always refilled. Sometimes they will give you free hot tea, other times you need to ask and they will bring it right out to you. We go way too much so all the workers know us. This has become a regular spot for my coworkers and I during the week for lunch. We usually get there a little after 11 and get seated right away. But by the time we leave at noon, it's always completely packed. Definitely expect to wait a bit if you go during peak lunch times. They also do carryout (which I don't think many people know but they will def do this for you) so it's always a great, cheap option for eating at home if you want to avoid their perpetually sticky tables (yuck). read more

This is my go to place in the burbs for Beef Pho noodle soup, shrimp n scrambled eggs over rice, and lemon grass fried chicken (they serve whole wings)! It's a divey kind of place in a strip mall next to a Valli's produce store so of course the parking lot is CRAZY during the weekends! If you can come during the week, then it's the best time..slower pace. You don't feel rushed. The worst time is Sunday lunch, unless you like the hussle and bussle of the crowd and you don't mind waiting for 30 mins for a table even one that it's close to the front door. If you see a lot of Asians coming here, then that is also a plus! When you see a line of people out the door waiting to be seated, then you know the food is good here! It's as close as you can get when it comes to good Pho soup, like going to one of the Pho places in Argyle in the city but it's in the burbs plus they have a private parking lot! I've tried other dishes and they were pretty good, but again I'm here for the flavorful Pho Noodle Soup and I like putting in all the sides that comes with the soup. Like fresh bean sprouts, Thai Basil leaves, fresh squeeze lime juice, plus on the table Cock Sauce (Sriracha hot chili sauce) and a good squeeze of Hoisin Sauce to top it off. I like a bit spicy so a little squirt of Sriracha is good enough for me, however hubby wants more so the top of his head would sweat and a runny nose sniff, sniff so good on a cold winter day! I also like their avocado and green tea smoothies with tapioca, yum! The staff is quick with your food but don't expect a casual hi my name is Bob and I'll be serving you today, it's more like...you want #17 pho soup with extra beef balls and noodles, ok, ok...next! What I don't care much is their tables and chair. They need to upgrade those but maybe they like the divey kind of feel? Also they serve hot tea that taste like rice tea in plastic cups. They refill it for you, so don't expect to get those silver tea pots at your table. Asian Noodle House is an awesome and reliable place with yummy food and excellent prices. I've been here for a solo dinner once and a few lunches with coworkers. All experiences were good with quick service and great meals, regardless of the crowd. They've got plenty of meat options for my friends and veggie options for me. My go-to dish here is a large serving of vegetable fried rice and some kind of bubble tea. My favorite one so far is the Hawaiian flavored bubble tea. Mmmmmyumm! I've tried the braised noodles but didn't really like them. The tofu wonton soup is surprisingly good, though. I've got my eye on the udon noodles for next time -- I need to break away from my 'safe' meals. The only thing I don't like about this place is the tea served in plastic cups. The tea is fine but the cups are not. Plastic cup tea isn't appealing. But then again, this place isn't striving for class. It's very bare bones with vinyl cafeteria chairs and dirty-but-not-really-dirty basic tables topped with sticky condiments. For some reason, that gives this place some character. I live about 10min from Noodle house. Seen way too many reviews for place and figured, "hell why not..let's do this!". Now this isn't like one of the cheap take out place with the 3rd rate quality food. The food here is pretty amazing. The prices are like a take out place though (and that's a good thing!) I got the curry chicken and fish balls. The chicken had some good spices and flavor going for it. The fish balls were delicious as well. It had this smooth texture inside which felt nice against the tongue.. smoooooth. Was disappointed with the pineapple banana smoothie though. It was... how do I put it.... "Pineapple flavored water". Seriously, so much crushed ice and hardly any real fruit in it. Don't waste your $2.75 on this. Go buy a 24 water bottle pack for $2.99 instead! I don't understand a lot of these reviews here saying "Place feels cheap... service is bad.. yada yada"). Cmon you get quite a bit of actual "good chinese food" for $5. Great value, authentic and a secret off-menu Malay dishes! No where else in the northwest burbs could you find a place like this. I bet if you had a taste for something like say...salty fish with chicken fried rice (honestly, where could you find that in the burbs and done well?) you could find it here! I bet the chef enjoys a challenge. So if you want something that isn't on menu, try asking for it?! We get totally carried away trying their entire menu. Its good and a safe place to get adventurous. The dining room is not particularly large, and there is a constant flow of pick up orders. The restaurant is usually packed with regulars and Asian families. If you're in for an adventure, just let the server know that you just want to be happy at the end of the meal. We did just that and we were very satisfied, several off-menu items popped onto our table (since I'm Chinese and not from Malaysia it was familiar but not really). I came back here many times after my first visit and could not bring myself to order anything other than the Hainan Chicken. I also got my friends addicted to it. It's been a few months since I had my Hainan Chicken fix, so I was exciting when I met my friends here for dinner.
