I have been with AT&T for a long time and I'm actually quite happy with their services. Most of my communication has been done over the phone and it has been fantastic. The onsite locations are a different story. Truly this particular AT&T location gives their company a bad name. I had a horrific experience with ordering my iPhone 6 Plus (64G & space gray) from the get-go. Basically this is what happened: -Ordered my 6Plus end of Sept. at this location, (supposed to arrive first week of Nov) -Got the actual phone on the second week of Nov -I took the phone to an Apple store to buy the screen cover. -The Apple technician offered to put the screen cover for me. He found a scratch on my screen after lifting the factory plastic. -I took the phone back right after, to this location for an exchange (this phone is only 2 days old). Met a rep named Jerome....right away he says they're gonna have to charge me $35 restocking fee. And he saids how do I know that you didn't cause this scratch? Then he saids I'm gonna have to talk to his manager Alicia who was away at the moment. So I called the manager and she pretty much treated me like a criminal. AND I felt like I was talking to a shady car salesman. She goes I'm not even supposed to do this for you...meaning to exchange this phone (and that she's doing me a HUGE favor). She'd still have to charge me $35 restocking fee. She continued to argue with me that even with the factory plastic cover you can still get it scratched. It did not matter to her that this is my 3rd iPhone, that I pay my bill on time and that I have been their customer since they were Cingular. AND she conveniently forget that the CUSTOMER is ALWAYS RIGHT. I hung up on her. And I called AT&T directly and spoke with another service rep. I told her what happened to me and she was appalled. She apologized and wrote down the manager's name and assured me that they would have a disciplinary action. She credited $40 in my account so that I can get a new phone at another AT&T location and helped me set up an appt that same day. *Review to follow for the second location* Pls avoid this location at any cost....especially when you are making a big purchase. I went in to get a new iPhone under a plan I share with my relatives. There shouldn't have been any issues but for some reason it took them over 40 minutes trying to add my new phone to the plan. The sales rep kept rebooting his system and at one point got the store manager involved to help. Eventually, they proposed we switch the current plan out to another one, and then switch it back to the original plan. They promised there would be no headaches and no extra costs involved by doing this, but that it was just a simple solution to the technical difficulties they were facing. While doing this, the rep persistently tried to push DirecTV on me. I understand he probably has a sales quota to meet, but when I'm waiting on an internal issue that should be solved rather quickly, the last thing I want is to get pitched on a new service. Fast forward a month later and my new bill indeed had some erroneous charges on it which added up to $26 that shouldn't have been on there. I had to call customer service and they eventually credited it back, but not without some hassles. The other times I've been to this store there were some friendly and genuine reps who assisted me, but I guess there's always a bad apple out of the bunch. read more

They put up a new cell tower. It is up on Marine and Grandview - still, no reception on west side of highland. Yet, they continue to sell phones and plans they can't service? If someone knowingly sold you a knowing your home address/usage and didn't work, couldn't that be considered fraud? Oh, and the signal boosters, they'll go ahead and sell, for another $100, one of those that will make the service you signed up for, actually work! I was super pleased with the help I received at this AT&T store. I was not there to buy anything, just needed help activating my voicemail on a new phone, which proved to be far more complicated than one would imagine. Willie went out of his way to help me, even allowing me to leave and go on with my day while he stayed on hold to deal with AT&T service on the phone and then called me to walk me through the steps to reset it when he finally got through. I recently had some issue with my bill, services that I Did not knowingly sign up for, on going charges etc. a giant mess!! Willie the store manager was willing to help and finally put me with Lucy Eck! She is wonderful, very pleasant to work with and willing to work out all of the issues. After what seemed to be endless issues, Lucy has taken care of all excess charges , restored my service to be what was originally asked for and was able to credit numerous charges. This is quite possibly the worst store ever. Ever. Their customer service is beyond deplorable. They have huge turnover and don't have the product knowledge they should have. Over and over I have been disappointed in every way imaginable. Avoid this store at all costs. If you need a phone you would be better off with two cans and a string rather than purchase anything at this store. The only competent person is the security guy. By far the worst customer service. They convince you to upgrade and change your plan stating that your bills be significantly cheaper. Once it's said and done you get hit with bill after bill with almost double what you used to pay. You call them and they just blow you off and don't return your calls. You finally get a hold of them and they tell you it'll adjust after the first bill and then get super dodgy and ignore you! They wear you out so much to the point where you'd rather pay the higher bills then continue to try to deal with them. Avoid this place and their associates. read more

I went to the store yesterday to get a screen protector for my old iPhone 8, I walked out with a new iPhone 12 Pro Max. Grace was my sales person and she was awesome. She walked me through the process step by step and answered all my questions in fact she was asking me questions and actually helped me get a better monthly discount overall. The best AT&T experience I have ever had. I was greeted by 5 AT&T associates as soon as I opened the door. All were very eager to help me just as the next. They were all very courteous and willing to help me with my phone issues. Mike who stepped in and took over was amazing. I have never had an experience at any store like this ever. I will definitely be coming back here because of them. I Live in San Pedro and have a store 2 minutes away from me. I am terrible about taking the time to leave reviews, good or not-so-good, but my consultant Jackie Hill was so outstanding that I have to leave one! I put this off because generally visits to retail wireless locations are miserable, take forever, techs always rushing after you've waited so long, etc. But I just switched to AT&T a few months ago and both my visits to this store have been great. First and foremost, every single employee I've had any interaction has been extremely nice and friendly, competent and fast!! The first time I used curbside, which was great, but this visit I was able to go into the store and was surprised how safe I felt - everyone was in masks, distanced and with acrylic dividers between customers and reps! My consultant, Jackie Hill, was as nice and patient and helpful and FUN as she could be. She went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed and consulted her manager in one instance which I really appreciated, and he was also very helpful and gave me a lot of information about Apple that helped me with my issues. So an errand I dreaded ended up being a really enjoyable experience where all of my issues were resolved!! THANK YOU JACKIE!!! read more

Had some issues. Jackie helped me. She was so nice and patient. She knew what she was doing and went above and beyond. Also, the security guard, who's job it is to be a security guard was helping/greeting people as they entered. He doesn't have to do that but saw that the employees were too busy to do it. He needs a raise. That store needs to hire more people. The wait was too long. I could see people getting extremely frustrated. My Iphone 8's battery was dying fast. It would be at 100%, I'd make one call, and 5 minutes later the phone would be completely dead. I went to my local Manhattan Beach store and was greeted immediately by Willie, the store manager. I explained what was happening and he gave me my options...I could replace the battery to see if that fixed the problem, or I could exchange to a new phone. I figured by the way my phone was acting, I was past the point of testing out a new battery, so I requested more information about a new phone. Willie was fantastic and explained that I could upgrade to an Iphone SE (which is the body of an 8 with the mind of an 11) and actually SAVE money on my monthly bill! The only unfortunate part was that they didn't have that particular phone in stock. Willie called the manager at the Rosecrans store and had them set one aside for me. I drove there and asked for the manager and phone. They kept me waiting for a really long time only to tell me they had no such phone in stock. I happily drove back to Manhattan Beach, as I wanted to give this store my business anyway, and was greeted immediately by multiple employees handling other customers. It was nice that they acknowledged me even when busy! Willie was shocked to hear that I had been told something different by the Rosecrans store and quickly resolved to handle the situation. He filled in Lucy on what we had discussed and she happily took over my order. Rather than leaving my current phone there, they were able ship my new phone directly to my house and include a return label so I could send my old phone back. Basically, the customer service at the Manhattan Beach store was incredible, they went above and beyond, and I felt that I was in good hands. Thanks Willie and Lucy! I have been an ATT customer for over 20 years. They are the only cell provider I have EVER had! I have paid then 100s of dollars per month for over 20 years. This is a warning-- WHATEVER YOU DO -- do not get the FIRSTNET service they offer to Firefighters. It sounds great - but they don't know how to manage it. My son is a firefighter and he got me a new phone for my birthday at a $500 discount. He had to sign up for FIRST NET. WELL -- OK --- life goes on. Never heard another word from FIRST NET. A few months goes by and THEN he gets an email that his account is going into collections. THEN he gets a call from a debt collection company. HE NEVER GOT A SINGLE INVOICE! We called the numbers on the email and no one could help us. FIRST NET said they could not help us because it was ATT == ATT could not help us because it was FIRSTNET. I tried both companies several times hoping that I had just not connected with the right person. I trip to the ATT STORE. My son was told he was sent invoices and email. Simply not true. It was quite an ordeal, took over an hour, and they took away the $500 discount on my phone. And they were nasty about it. VERY disappointed. VERY disgusted. How dare they set up a plan for firefighters and have no clue how to administer it. Watch out because they do not know what they are doing. EIther that, or First Net is just one big con. read more

No line, great service! After hitting up the Santa Monica location twice just to be ignored, I went to this location and so glad that I did! I was greeted immediately and added to their wait list. I was first in "line" and literally waited 2 minutes before Elliot started assisting me. I was there for an upgrade and had my mind set on the iPhone 6 Plus, 128 GB... so it was pretty seamless. I already knew what I wanted. When I got there though, I kept changing my mind between the 64 and 128... and after going back to get me the different phones a few times, he still remained patient. Elliot told me the new payment options, mentioned different promotions they were having, but didn't press too much. It was a nice experience. Left satisfied and happy. read more

After being on the phone with ATT customer reps and visiting the ATT service center in Torrance, this store and staff are the only ones that really showed an interest in helping me. My phone quit on me over the weekend and i was leaving the next day on a trip out of the country. The manager here, Mike, made some exceptions to get me a phone to use on the spot. Normal procedure would have been to wait for a replacement in the mail. That was a HUGE help to me that the other ATT stores would not provide. Awesome, understanding staff. Kyle helped me transfer everything over to my new phone. They both told me that as soon as I come back from my trip to come to the store and they will work on finding me a more permanent solution. It is very refreshing to work with people who don't read off of the ATT script and actually go above and beyond to help you. read more

I have to admit - not a big fan of my AT&T wireless service - but I was experiencing huge problems transferring from my Corporate Blackberry to an iPhone 4S. I could write 10 angry paragraphs - but what's the point. I will tell you the last straw. AT&T denied that I was me (I realize this may be poor writing prose) over the phone. Have you ever had that out-of-body (OOB) experience where you are faced with unprecedented ignorance? Your intellect reasons that you can get through to them - but the more you explain - the more you sound suspect. 'I have a valid credit card, a verified phone number, Social Security number, birth date, blood type, iris identification, mother's madden name...' And the one question you pause on is: 'When you refinanced in 2005, what was the name of the original bank and payment amount?' Well, the bank has changed hands three times - are you referring the first or the second lender?' Gotcha! Sorry, we cannot sell you the phone - you must go to a physical location and provide them with two pieces of identification. What - are you serious? But, but, but... So, I went to the store in Manhattan Beach. Met with a guy named Mike. He was pleasant, mellow and knowledgeable, We were able to get the phone within an hour (even though Apple had it wait listed for 2 weeks), was able to choose the number I wanted from a list and he went over all the primary features of the phone. While I was not sold on the warranty - as the phone will be obsolete in six months - I did buy a $200 Bluetooth speaker system - based on his recommendation. With a $100 of various gifts that came with the purchase - I was all good. I'm sure not every clerk or facility is of the same caliber - but Mike made my evening. Hopefully, you will have the same experience. I guess once you have dropped from a 10 to a 1, getting back to 2 - you are up 100%. So take it with a grain. read more

This is the most HORRIBLE AT&T store!!! They NEVER pick up their phone and they have horrible customer service! At 3pm on a Wednesday they can't possibiliy be that busy for AN HOUR to not answer their phone. Horrendous. Just for a simple quick fix I was not going to drive 25 minutes to the store, and I could not get help from Corporate Customer service (I needed to talk to the store) I finally got help by calling the Del Amo store (they answered right away), and a very nice employee, Marcio, helped me and resolved my issue in minutes! He restored my faith in humanity. And trust me, I was about to loose more than my faith at that moment...... I never plan on dealing with the Manhattan Beach store again!!!! HORRIBLE read more

IT TOOK ONE HOUR TO EXCHANGE TWO PHONES. Are you kidding me? The phones were unopened and never used. I went in to the store knowing exactly what I wanted, and it still took 1 hour to complete the transaction. I only had to wait for 5-10 minutes to be helped, but apparently paying for the phones and trying to get me to buy U-verse service (which I didn't want) took all that extra time. The guy named Mike was really nice, and he meant well, however it wasn't acceptable for it to take that long. By the time I left, my baby was crying and I bet they couldn't wait for me to leave either. read more
