Here's a 4 star to break the monotony of the other 1 star reviews. I could have gone in on an off day, no sarcasm intended, when there was no line and was immediately greeted by a young salesperson, Herbert, with no cuts, no buts, no coconuts! Herbert wasted no time to get me seated and we got down to biz at hand. Herbert: "What brings you here today?" Me: "It's my cell! It must have seen better days! When I'm reading the news online, it suddenly switches to yelp reviews! When I'm in the middle of a cell conversation, it frequently cuts me off; It accidentally erases important notes that I have stored in the memo while I was reading them; It changes the apparatus function on me randomly before I'm done with that function; ........ blah, blah, blah" Herbert: "Show me how do you hold your cell ". (Quickly showed him) Herbert: "You don't need a new cell! You just need a smaller palm! (Tongue in cheek) Lol! You are unconsciously pressing on some keys in your cell with your palm or fingers! Your cell is a highly sensitive piece of equipment" (He then showed me the "right" way and I wasn't offended, just felt dorky!) Me: "Oops! God has blessed me with wide palms and fat fingers! " I was in and out in less than 10 mins and Herbert saved me $500 to boot. I thanked him for his honesty. He didn't try to upsell or sell me prematurely a cell that I didn't need. Time for me to go back to more clicking and yelping! Certainly merits 4 stars for my experience in this store that day, don't you think? read more

I went here today to have my cell service transferred from my new phone back to my old one. When I arrived, the lady was helping someone. An hour and 15 min later, she is still helping the same customer. I needed a 5 minute fix on my phone. Several people came in and left because they got tired of waiting. There is zero reason it should take over an hour and a half to set someone up with a phone. She lost three customers since I've been sitting here waiting. She is the slowest, worst customer service rep I have ever met in my 30 plus years. Her name was Stephanie. read more

One of the most poor customer service experiences I've ever had. Trade in value was communicated to me to when into the store this week - I wanted a new phone and signed a new contract for an upgrade that day. I went back the next day to return my old phone, only to be told it was worth MUCH less than what I was originally quoted. The store manager was unprofessional, rude, and aggressive when I asked them they needed to honor their original trade in quote. She said I must have "been mistaken". Go to the AT&T on N. McDowell to save yourself the hassle!! The gentleman there said they deal with this locations unhappy customers all the time, It's ridiculous. Don't get Uverse internet with ATT. If you ever have an issue it takes 40 minutes to get on the phone with an actual human (in Colombia). I have had to call this line several times this week and have finally reached my limit. It's the same runaround each time with a foreign call center. I also don't recommend getting phone insurance that they sell from ASURION. I am still working on a replacement for a phone that I lost well over a week ago. They initially promised to deliver it the same day but now it's being reviewed and is on hold and they can't tell me when it will be delivered. I also cannot just go get one at the AT&T store since it is under review. Go figure that's what insurance is for huh? The deductible is $275, half the value of the phone! read more

Absolute worst service ever. Told me my trade value was $830 towards the next phone so I upgraded and ordered the new phone they didn't have in stock. I switched over the phones and brought back In the old one and all of the sudden my phone was worth $300 because of a very small chip. Then the manager said I was lying that the sales woman from the day before quoted me the $830 and told me I needed it in writing . The manager was also loud, obnoxious and disrespectful a woman . The manager and employees are a disgrace and ATT should be ashamed to have them representing them. Place needs to clean house. Bitter and unhappy people with bad attitudes. Been waiting an hour for service and there are only two employees for the entire store with a line. The employee Amari has been with the same customer the entire time and told the AT&T rep activating a phone to take his time. She has no regard for the line of people waiting. Customer service doesn't matter to this employee and I will be looking into switching to Verizon. I've been with AT&T for decades and the employees could care less. I will never return to this store. They typically have 7 employees but 5 were allowed the day off! read more

Came into the AT&T store today to upgrade our phones. Christian, the sales associate, offered no information upfront and answered our questions with minimal information only leaving us with more questions. The entire interaction felt like an inconvenience to him. When asked about a deal comparison my brother found in Oregon last week, he replied with "I don't know, I don't work in Oregon". Other sales associates were equally unhelpful and lacked basic social niceties. Mid transaction, we decided to cancel our trade in due to the lack or professionalism. Christian simply replied, "Okay, you're done" and we left. We felt disrespected and will definitely avoid this store in the future. read more

Went in yesterday.. my moms phone has not been able to receive a verification code on her phone from any app or anything online that she tries. We had a guy help us I didn't catch his name he was nice but he couldn't figure anything out.... then JOSE took over and continued to help us. Thank god for JOSE he must have helped us for an hour and a half. They could not figure out what was wrong..but he stuck with it an even called (for us ) a specialized support hotline. They couldn't even see what was wrong as well. He figured out another way to help us solve the problem. Too confusing to explain but he gave us several options, and we were also able to save some on our monthly bill because of my moms occupation. We were so grateful for his help, he was super nice, patient with us being annoyed at the problem, and even funny. He understood why we were frustrated and really took care of us. The rating should be 1/2 star because the customer rep did say to "have a nice day" otherwise it would be zero. My iphone email was not working so all the rep did was look at it ( I bought this phone here) and said to take it to Apple. I took it to the other AT&T store in Petaluma and they resolved the problem in 5 minutes, knew what the problem was immediately. I told the guys at the other place that they should call these people and tell them how to fix this problem. Their response was that the previous store should have known. This is an awesome location! I usually dread going to the AT&T store, but this location has gone above and beyond every time I visit. This is the second time Cesar has helped me and each time he helped me with my problem like it was no big deal for him which made me feel so much better. My pet peeve is nasty smelling bad breath, people who don't brush regularly, who just smell awful every time they breath on me just makes me sick. I am talking about one of the salesmen who assisted me the other day at AT&T off of McDowell and Washington in Petaluma, CA. His breath was sooo bad, I mean really bad that I could not concentrate on what he was saying to me. You would think a company that is so concerned about how a person dresses for a job should also be concerned with hygiene. AT&T get your people some dental insurance and make sure they don't have bad breath; that is, if you want to make more sales. Very decent AT&T store. I've been here ten or more times over the years, and always had excellent, knowledgeable and helpful service. For those who insist on coming in at the busiest times, yes, you will have to wait for service. Some customers require a lot of help before they walk out with their purchase, and that takes time. i would suggest that you either arrive earlier than them, or schedule your trip for a quieter time. read more

The gist of it is, they're pleasant enough on a one on one basis, but the stores have been so heavily reworked and retooled that now it's a slog to get anything done -- as a result are loaded with waiting list people and the overall experience is lengthy. Kind of annoying to come in (admittedly at peak-ish after-work hours around the release of a new phone) and be told the wait is almost an hour... But ATT lets you do almost everything online with a chat support rep, so that part is an option. read more

Jared is what made this a 4 not 3 star review. He is very helpful, careful to make sure he listens to exactly what it is you are looking for and then pointing out the benefits and draw backs to each device and service based on your current usage and your needs. He stuck with my co-worker and I while we had upgrade questions and corporate discount issues to work through. Both his supervisors were nice and checked in with us while he was in back and looking for items we needed. Here is what could use some improvement from someone with customer service background: The woman that checked us in was obviously not really happy to be at work, their systems were acting up so I am sure it was a hard day for her taking customer information so when it was their turn to be helped the associate doing so could pull up their account easily. But she was not friendly, happy, or even really helpful. Customers came in after us just wanting to pay their bills, when they asked her a question she just pointed to the machine and said "over there" rather than helping this obviously confused customer with the process, or even just walking to the machine with him, then continued on her conversation with the other gentleman that was standing next to her waiting for customers to walk in. All in all a good experience have to actually go back today as after doing some research I need a new SIM card for my new tablet that I want cellular service on. read more

I was paying well over $200 for internet, TV and home phone So they sent me a deal to bundle for $114.99 Ultimate package! OMG!!!! The nightmare began! I can not put in words how horrible this company is! I have spent at the least 20 hours combined on hold or talking to a representative to try and fix the bill that every month is wrong again! Ohh did I mention its only been 3 months. The home phone has broken twice once it took a week for them to fix sending the wrong repairman both times. Ohhh they added a voice mail box that was picking up phone calls before our house answering machine that NO ONE had a pin number too not even them! That was 7 hours of my life down the drain!!! Go with anyone else!!! The frustration alone with talking to people in the Philippines that don't really speak English Is enough to loose your mind over!!!!! When you finely got a representative that speaks English Not one representative in that whole company can make sense of there own bill! They went in circles and couldn't explain the reason the bill each month was not the $114.99 with a 2 year guarantee My favorite representative reasons for why the bill was wrong -Taxes change every month -Your 2 year price guarantee went up, The price is not guaranteed -I have no idea -Your not on that package your on the cheaper package for $89.99 that cost $181.16 Oh manager call backs lmao No such thing! EXPECT TO BE ON HOLD FOR ANY WHERE FROM 30 MINUTES TO 45 before you can talk to a representative! I've never been happy going into att because the people are always rude and never seem to help me with my problem They always mess up my plans and they always make my trip there miserable. The last couple of times I've gone to att amanda and stacy have helped me more then ever. Me and my mom brought my 82 year old grandma in and they showed her how to use an iphone, and also showed my mom who's had an iphone for the past 3 years more stuff about her phone then she knew. They've been such great help and they're the only people we will go to. Whether it's a simple problem, or the biggest problem ever they're always there to go the extra step to help us with anything. I'll never go to another person at att, and would recommend anyone I know to go see amanda or stacy. Definitely the best reps ever! read more
