    Chicken Tetrazini
    Felix S.

With large portions and delicious flavors, this is authentic Greek food. I had the lunch special for Thursday which was a Chicken Tetrazini and it was amazing! Service was fast and friendly, a real customer-first restaurant! I personally like the decorations, very Greek and clean.

This restaurant looks, feels, and tastes like it's stuck in the 90s, and not in an endearing way. The food was surprisingly bland. I eat a lot Greek/Mediterranean and this has to be the most Americanized version I've ever tasted. I should have known, as there wasn't a single person among the staff or in the kitchen that looked Greek and the manager was certainly South Asian. I find that quite odd, given that the entire premise of this restaurant is Greek Authenticity (see website). The only thing that felt slightly worth the money was the spinach pie and pizza. I really think they should just stick to serving pizza, honestly. The spinach pie was truly delicious, but the pizza was nothing to brag about. The crust tasted like standard white bread. I wasn't sure if it was handmade or previously frozen. I base pizza/crust ingredient quality on whether or not I experience heartburn after, and this led me straight to heartburn city :( They also gave us a spoon to serve the pizza with which was tacky and shows that this place cuts corners. Nothing else purchased (see pictures) was worth talking about. The only thing I remember about the side bread and side salad was that the oil they use for the base of the sauce tasted horrible and was overpowering. I couldn't finish it. The ambience felt like an IHOP (no shade to IHOP). It is barely clean. And it took such a long time just to get our drink orders. Our server was the manager and the service was just not good. I will say that there was mostly an older crowd in the restaurant, presumably people who've been regulars here since the restaurant opened and hopefully experienced better days. They seemed to enjoy it. I just don't see how else this place stays open, but I can see it being nostalgic for some people as it's been around for a long time. The food just isn't good for those looking for something... sophisticated. The pizza is the safest thing to order.

Mousaka with extra wonderful thinly flaked spinach which they offered as a surprise.

Absolutely outstanding food and service. Their eggplant parm is delicious. Tried the Mousaka And it was really good. They go above and beyond with service as well

I came here with my family as Athens pizza has traditionally been a great place to eat. The waitress was very nice and on point. Ambiance very casual with the greek and or mediterranean paintings on the wall . My chicken and potatoes were great but the green beans lacked flavour and were tasteless maybe needed spice? Also the waitress had too much perfume on some patrons like my aunt have heightened sensitivity to it. Anyway, all things considered still a good place to eat in Dekalb county.

My @diningoutatl Passbook is my go to method of trying New restaurants in the city and surrounding areas. Last night I tried @athenspizza for the first time and I can definitely see why it's a neighborhood favorite. @athenspizza clearly has a regular crowd. Each evening offers a different special. Monday was "Baked Spaghetti" ; which was ordered. I also wanted to try the Mediterranean Pizza and ordered a small 6in. The pizza was absolutely delicious and the crust was divine! The spaghetti contained mushrooms which I enjoyed but, if you don't like them you'll need to request for them to be omitted. Great food and friendly service! I'll definitely be back!

We came here on a Saturday afternoon, because it was in the Dining Out Passbook for a BOGO deal. We got 14 inch pizza for $14 and 10 inch Athens Special pizza for $15. Pizza was good ne satisfying. Cheese pizza was a great deal. The only thing I wish the crust was a bit thinner

I was craving some good Athenian cooking so I paid a visit to the Athens Pizza restaurant on Clairmont Road near the Emory campus. Great parking and easy access to the restaurant. This is a family owned business which caters to the locals most of which are affiliated with Emory. There prices are very reasonable and the portions do not disappoint. Pizza is their specialty but I go for other Greek dishes. The restaurant is large with belly dancing accommodating a crowd when they have it. Call to see the days and hours. The menu includes plenty of choices for a do it yourself pizza, or you can opt for a pita wrap. their lamb and beef which is roasted on a tall skewer is juicy and tender. Love their tzatziki sauce. Service is always with a smile. This particular night I brought my food home. It was well packaged and what was hot could have been reheated in the aluminum lined to go box. But there was no need. The salad which comes with the meal as well as a piece of spanakopita, were both delicious.

    Chicken Kabob Platter
    Lili J.

I can only speak for the takeout but I thought it was just okay, not really anything special. I got the chicken kabob platter and I thought that the pita was great but nothing else was that good. The chicken had an okay seasoning but was a little overcooked. I wanted fries and got Greek potatoes instead that had a good seasoning but was not what I ordered. The lettuce was just lettuce, nothing exciting, and not super fresh. I guess the pizza is better but I doubt I'll go back.

She didn't directly answer our questions about the menu so we had to repeat them a few times. 4/5: the arancini was lukewarm in the center while the Italian "Mac n cheese" was fried perfectly. The smoked salmon pasta was good with two exceptions: the onions weren't caramelized like the menu said AND they really should include a veggie like asparagus in it. The Diavola pizza was good but barely had any cheese. The cannolis again were good but the filling had the wrong consistency. They tasted prefilled even though our waitress said they're not. However, upon leaving we noticed a plate of prefilled cannolis in the cooler area. Do I think the food was worth $80? No. But would I go back to sample something else off the menu. Sure.

Will try it under the new name Crushers?... this week and see. Them being on the corner, the original name worked, I don't like change lol. Anyway, Corner Slice was a good place to pick up a deep dish pizza. Better than Jets, and Nancy's pizzeria in my opinion primarily because their selection is unique. The texture, and flavor, just an overall nice pizza for someone like me never in the mood for pizza. I had pizza burn out for years just because it's the cheapest way to feed a lot of people and I got tired of it. Corner slice fixed that. The Riker is my go too. I feel like depending who I is making it, they either skimp on toppings or at times it's loaded. Inside is not comfortable for me, it feels kind of grimy and not clean. I pray over the pizza and take it to go. The pizzas are not cheap like chain pizza places. Just know it's going to cost you. But it's good. I think they have games in the back which I didn't expect. Closest thing to NY-style they had so I gave it a shot. The cheese was perfect, the sausage was top-quality, and the sauce just the right amount, a little lighter than usual, which could have been a touch better but I could've easily eaten two of them. Honestly, I came in expecting not to like it, and it ended up being a solid 4-4.5 stars. I eat a lot of pizza, and this place is a must-stop. I have a bad stomach and the grease was a little much even on the thinner crust but overall a solid spot.

After expressing that I was open to any variety of dishes, in hopes of venturing out from my "usual" of chicken parmigiana, Linda made several very thoughtful recommendations. I enjoyed the light flavors of the Agnolotti pasta, and the richness of the Marsala chicken. I am personally not a huge fan of mushroom taste, but the dish was not mushroom forward at all and the Marsala sauce was perfect. I also tried the cannellini beans after both Linda and her counterparts insisted that it's the most underrated dish on the menu and there were absolutely correct! I could have eaten the beans as my main dish and been perfectly happy. I finished it all off with the tiramisu, which was the perfect balance of sweetness and a very authentic taste about it! Anyone who knows me personally knows that I don't eat leftovers, but I reheated my leftovers on the stove and it was just as great as the night before - making the dishes well worth their value! The restaurant has a very quiet and respectable ambiance. The bar is inviting, while the seating area offers both group or family style dinner tables or more intimate tables tucked away. I can't thank Linda enough for the hospitality and recommendations. I'll be back, sooner rather than later, to keep exploring the menu!
