Attended another UYE set up by Master Yelper Anthony S. We met the owner Izzy and his wonderful staff as they Hosted about 15 of us, it was a great time for a nice dinner with our yelp family. The food was pretty good I have been to a couple of Mediterranean place and this is as good as most. Located in the shopping center with the busy 24 Hour Fitness gym on Madera, I was lucky enough to find a parking spot in the first row. Our offerings were soup, a salad, and an entree of our choice. The Lentil Soup with a tomato base, fresh lentils, and spices. The Salad was romaine lettuce, cabbage, diced tomatoes, fresh dill. the dressing with way too sweet for me I'm more of a savory character The Koobideh Combo came with two skewers, one ground beef and one chicken, both were excellent and rice and a stewed tomato this was the first time I've ever had this dish and it was on point. Was looking forward to eating here. The lamb kabob was overcooked and pretty flavorless. Disappointed and underwhelmed. My wife had to chicken and ground beef kabob. Meh at best. We will keep searching for a good Mediterranean spot out here. We lived in the San Fernando Valley for years so we know GOOD Mediterranean food. The food was ok but wanted to give honest suggestion. If you would add hummus and pita to your kabob plates you would get more business, most middle eastern restaurants serve this combo by default for that price. Beef kabob tastes little bland with just the rice. The meat could use a little seasoning as it tastes like a hamburger, instead of the traditional koobideh kabob. This is a good place for fast, authentically prepared and very tasty Persian food. Theyre also great for take-out as most dishes are usually cooked and ready within 15 minutes or so. If you're new to Persian food, then you can't go wrong with the kubideh (ground beef or chicken) and mast o khiar which is a yogurt, cucumber dip. For the more seasoned eaters, they have a variety of rice dishes, filet mignon and authentic stews.Overall, a very good variety of other side and main dishes. The service is good and the staff is friendly. This is my favorite choice in town for Persian food. I ordered my food to go so I could work on my hotel room but now I have food coma and can't think of anything but sleep. My bad!! The restaurant itself was empty - it was close to 6 p.m. Staff was nice enough, answered my questions and gave me my requested condiments. It's clean, quaint and tucked away in the shopping center. I feel like I'm in kabob heaven when I eat from here. My friends highly recommended this place and I'm so happy I finally was able to dine in. The owners are amazing and very sweet. They go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. We had a sampler plate of the filet, chicken breast, ground chicken and ground beef kabob. I could tell the meat was very fresh and great quality. The portions are large and the rice is cooked perfectly. The sauce that is served with the salad is probably the best sauce I've ever had. It's almost like a tzatziki but a billon times better. Just walked into this extremely unprofessional business with my 2 sons. Sat down and saw another party dining in. As I sit down, I'm rudely asked what I wanted to order without even being given a menu. I asked him for a menu and he proceeds to tell me "Sorry takeout only, we're taking a break". I went to Atlas for the first time last Saturday because I had been looking for good Mediterranean food near my house. My boyfriend and I ended up talking with the owner who gave us a special deal for being first time customers and he made all of the food himself from scratch right in front of us!! This is seriously some of the best Mediterranean food I have ever eaten. It was SO GOOD. I was a little skeptical over having filet mignon as a kabob but not anymore! This is my new favorite place and new favorite kabob choice!!! The place is small-ish so you may not notice it from the street (I've lived in Simi for years and only just discovered it) but it's pretty open inside with a nice ambiance. We just picked up a Soltani and a Jooojeh Kabab. They also gave us a large Persian Garden salad which we had not expected. Well done! We asked for extra sumac and butter which they nicely gave us. Food was cooked well. It was very clean and nicely presented. I liked the salad very much; it was super fresh with quality ingredients such as Persian cucumbers. The dressing was very tasty as well. But Izzy as articulated is pretty much a one man show. Each of the meals come with a side salad really good fresh and a nice compliment to the overall meal. My son and I, started with the Hummus homemade velvety with a touch of lemon and olive oil served with freshly made and sliced Pita like naan. Excellent I had the Chicken Koobedieh and my son the beef both plates come with biryani rice and roasted tomato. So good spiced just right and huge portions. A really well prepared dish and very flavorful. This is a little Mediterranean food gem in a Simi shopping center. If you blink you've passed it. The food is all scratch made and served with love and genuine care. It's well worth a trip and you will be happy that did. By far, this is one of the best places to get Persian Food in the Simi Valley area. The food is freshly prepared and there is a good variety of items to choose from including different kebabs, koobideh (ground beef or chicken kebabs), and stews. The meat is seasoned well and comes with a generous serving of rice and a grilled tomato. I have tried the beef koobideh, the barg (filet mignon), lamb, and chicken koobideh and they were all quite delicious. Your meal comes with a salad that has a sweet dill/yogurt salad dressing and sometimes you can also get a small bowl of lentil soup which is oh so good! The owner and his staff are friendly and make sure that you are well taken care of. The decor is sparse but all the tables have flowers and are set up nicely. Its time for me to review this place, this place gets 4 stars from me, the service was 5 stars, counting there was only 1 guy waiting 7 tables and serving at the same time, he was really friendly, we got the Kubedeh plate and the Soltani plate, I always get the Soltani plate when getting middle eastern food, now let me first say, the tables have a glass on top of each table and the plates they use slide all over the table, so u gotta stick a napkin under the plate to make it stay still. No biggie Now the food, the meats did not have enough flavor, it was kind of bland, for the prices they charge, its kinda expensive, you dont get very much rice or portions, but its worth a try to see if u will like it. till this day my favorite middle eastern place is Raffi's in glendale. read more

I had the whole entire plate of hummus to myself. (see my pictures) It was tasty and I got the Soltani plate too which was so good. Nice tender meat saturated in flavor- not dry at all. I love mixing the hummus with the rice and beef all together. The meal comes with a salad that has cucumbers and a flavorful dill infused dressing in it. I got the Persian tea and that was perfect with my meal. It's a little pricey even for lunch on the meat dishes, the Soltani dish I order was at least 15 bucks. It's nice inside and the service is excellent too. For the kids they split the two kabobs of chicken and rice with bread and loved it. That was $10 bucks.
