I am pleased with the work they did. There was a lot of work to be done during the 2 days and they worked diligently all day. They even called me to tell me when they would arrive, and they started to work right away and made everything clean after they left. The attic clean out and insulation crew arrived on time and proceeded in a timely and professional manner. The foreman clearly explained what they would be doing and about how long it would take. The work was done with little disruption to our usual household routines. We used Atticbros for new insulation, removal of an old furnace, and rodent proofing our attic and crawlspace. They were very efficient - got the work done in only 1 day with a larger than expected crew, and were very thorough. Furthermore, I was really happy with how they removed the old furnace. Other firms were quoting larger fees and said we were going to need to install a new pull down ladder just to get it out; Attic Bros instead disassembled it in the Attic and got it down efficiently without a massive incremental cost of needing to install a pull down ladder. read more

David is awesome! Attic bros did some work earlier this year to replace all the insulation in our attic after a massive rodent infestation. They did a great job sealing things up, placing traps, etc. Even through the shelter in place, David has continued to come and deal with checking the seals, seeing where the rats are still getting in (those tricky things) and removing dead ones and resetting traps. Attic brothers did above expectations to our attic and HVAC aystem. We moved to our San Jose home few months back. The house was built in 1961 and everything was original. David came over to inspect and was very knowledgeable about our attic condition,he showed us some pictures and gives us a detailed explanation about the process of the work and steps. Day 1- The guys showed up on 8AM sharp,they covered all work area including floors and walls. Removing all the old blowing insulation and sanitize the attic spacw. They also rodent proof our home and gave us a amazing five year warranty. Day 2- They covered all the space area again with plastic sheets and start with all insulation install proces. They inatalled R-38 green material insulation and our home fell better and way more efficient. Day 3- Changing of our furnace and installing new AC unit. Armando showed up with Pedro and started removing all old system and running new cables for the new AC unit. Day 4- New high efficiency furnace is been installed we new AC made by bryent and finally we are all done. I got 4 different quates for this project and attic Bros were the one with most value. We had a severe rat infestation in our attic and crawlspace, plus significant rat damage in our garage. Attic Bros came in with 10 guys and fixed up everything in a single day. I was impressed with their quality of work and speed. One and a half truckloads of blown insulation and rat droppings were removed from our attic. They did quote two days, but that was for five people. I'm fine with them getting the stuff done in a day. Attic Bros recently helped install new insulations and ducts in my house. My experience of working with them has been 100% positive and pleasant, nothing else. I noticed the screen on one of the vents to my attic was broken and the hole was BIG. I called all the handyman/roofers/rodent solution companies in my area that I can find on yelp, but only two of them were willing to help fix it and the price they asked for was outrageous. Desperately I came back to yelp and did a new round of search. I was so lucky that I found Attic Bros this time. I called them at around 11:40am. Both Eric and David were at my door at 2pm. They quickly checked the problem and told me it's an easy fix. The price they asked for was totally reasonable. They even helped check some other screens and fixed another broken one that I didn't even notice. As they were in the attic to fix the vent screen, they did see that the insulation in my attic was really old and there were a lot of rat droppings. They showed me the pictures and gave me an estimate of cleaning up the attic and installing new insulations. There was no push at all. Eric just wrote down everything that they propose to do in great details and asked me to call him back if I decided to do it. Since it all started with just a vent screen fix and it's my first time to do such projects in my house, I did schedule estimations with a couple of more companies for second opinions. As it turned out, Eric and David have been very honest with the situation in my attic. And the quote they gave me was one of the lowest. So I called Eric back and scheduled the project. On the working day, Eric and his team showed up right on time and quickly got into work. It's a whole day job and they worked really hard. After they were done in the afternoon, Eric told me my ducts were pretty old and there were damages everywhere. Again he showed me pictures and gave me a detailed proposal. I was not surprised because when the other company came to do the estimation earlier, they told me the same thing. I decided to trust Eric and David again with the ducts replacement, but did mention one concern. When they were working on the insulation, they did cover all the shelves in my closet (that's where my attic access is). But the covering was pretty loose and I still got some dust. Eric apologized about the issue and promised they are going to do a better job with the covering next time. On the day they worked on the ducts, David did the covering all by himself and it was PERFECT. They really take customers' feedback seriously. Again, it's a whole day work to replace the ducts. When chatting with one of them during the day, I remembered that I had two new smoke detectors that have been sitting there for over half a year. Neither my husband nor me is handy. I asked David if they can help install them. The answer was positive. When they were done with the ducts, it's already 6pm, but Eric and David patiently installed my smoke detectors, with no additional charge. This is a really long review. But I wanted to share how my experience went with Eric and David. Both of them are absolutely pleasant to work with. We started hearing noises a week or so ago coming from our attic which was unnerving. My brother found the Attic Bros and had them come out to do an inspection. They informed us (and also showed us using video they took in the attic and crawl spaces that we had access points for mice to get in as well as our insulation was very old. Old insulation can promote mold growth which is not safe and we had no idea because our attic is not the walk through type where it's visible. It's also not energy efficient letting out heat during the winter. We immediately scheduled them to start working on our duplex. They came this week and had the job done in 2 days. All of the guys were very clean and put up plastic wrapping everywhere they could to prevent the spread of dust and attic material throughout the house. We had a musty smell in one of our rooms that I thought was coming from either the attic or the crawlspace so I called Attic Bros and was able to make an appointment within a couple of days to have them check it out and tell me what needs to be done to fix the smell. Daniel arrived promptly and was extremely professional and thorough in his inspection of both the attic and crawlspace, showing me pictures of what he saw. In the end he found that neither the attic or the crawlspace was the issue and was totally honest about his finding and didn't try to recommend services he felt we didn't need. Caroll did a great job yesterday. I hired Attic Bros last year to remove old insulation, clean the attic and install new R-38 Batts Eco insulation. They also did rodent proofing work. However, I found several mice droppings last week again. They sealed all the possible incoming holes last year, but there still seem to have a small hole(s) that small mice can sneak in. The rodent proofing has five years warranty, so I contacted them. Attic Bros was very fast to respond and immediately scheduled a follow-up appointment. Caroll came to my house on time and quickly found a small incoming hole underneath the roof. He also inspected whole roof, wall, and vents. Terrible service quality, approaching fraudulent. I wonder how many of the reviewers here have actually inspected Attic Bros work, beyond just sticking their head up through an attic access. We hired Attic Bros to re-install attic insulation after we'd had other house work done. After their initial install was completed, I inspected the work, and discovered that they had failed to insulate areas that weren't visible from the access hatch, and the areas that they had insulated were a mess (insulation dumped over conduit instead of lying flat on the ceiling, not cut around ceiling lights, etc.). I contacted them, and they sent someone back the next day. He spent 20 minutes in the attic (we had him on camera), and declared it done again. I re-inspected, and he'd barely addressed any of the problems. On their third visit, I stayed home to inspect while they were present. When the installer said he was done, he suggested that I "poke my head up". When I started putting on a suit to crawl the attic, he looked visibly nervous, and sure enough, he still hadn't fixed the areas far from the access hatch. I pointed them out and he started fixing them. We were having mineral wool batts installed, which are supposed to be cut with a specialized long insulation knife. The installer was tearing the insulation by hand, making a complete mess. When asked, he said that he hadn't been given the proper tools ("only one guy who works for Attic Bros has a knife for that"), and showed me the broken point on his pocket knife from trying to use it for the job. I ended up paying them because the installer was insistent on leaving with a check and we wanted to avoid a mechanic's lien, but we'll need to buy all new insulation and have someone else remove & replace it. Attic Bros tore it up too much during installation to be workable. If you decide to use them, be home and be ready to do a full inspection after, to avoid getting scammed. read more

There was a really bad smell from my crawl space. After the Mencia, Vic, and crew from Attic Bros cleaned and replaced the insulation, the smell was gone. I feel a lot better now. After a sloppy insulation job by another vendor a few years ago, we finally decided it was time to correct the mistakes they made. We called Attic Bros to do a "touch up" job -- filling in the gaps left by the previous installer on one side of the house. Attic Bros quoted us a price, and arrived promptly on schedule a few days later to do the work. I was expecting they would install the insulation where I asked and leave, but Vic insisted on scanning the rest of the attic for insulation problems and gaps that we might have missed. He also pointed out and worked to address a problem with one of our attic vents that we hadn't noticed. We were particularly impressed with Vic's insistence on doing thorough, high-quality work. He looked over the house and provided a reasonable quote. I made the appt and and had Heraldo come out a few days later. I must say that Heraldo is what makes this a great experience. They asked if we wanted the path from the front door to the attic hatch masked off, and we decided just the floor needed to be masked which they did. The insulation was installed very well based on the photos they took and on my post inspection. At the end of the job they thoroughly cleaned everything up. Keith thoughtfully left an extra bundle of insulation for me so I could insulate a separate, small area over our laundry room.
