Before approving the work, I specifically asked in writing whether the parts being used were Nissan OEM or aftermarket. I received a direct response stating: "These are OEM parts." Based on that written confirmation, I agreed to move forward with the repair and payment. After the work was completed, I began experiencing serious issues with my vehicle, including stalling to the point where it was no longer safely drivable. Due to these failures, I had to take my vehicle to Nissan for further inspection. During that inspection, it became clear that the radiator installed was not OEM. Nissan also confirmed that OEM radiators would not present the way this one did, including the absence of proper identification. In addition, the coolant/transmission lines had been modified using generic hoses and clamps--something that would not be necessary with an OEM radiator, which is designed to use factory quick-connect fittings. These findings directly contradict what was promised to me in writing prior to the repair. As a direct result of the improper parts and installation, my vehicle sustained significant damage totaling over $15,000 and became unreliable and unsafe to drive, requiring additional time, expense, and inconvenience to address. When I attempted to resolve the situation, I requested receipts and documentation showing where the parts were purchased. These were not provided. In California, automotive repair providers are required to provide documentation and itemization of parts upon request, including itemized invoices and parts information, yet Kevin failed to do so. Instead, I was told that I was a "nightmare" customer and that I was "giving him a headache." He also attempted to shift blame by suggesting the damage must have been caused by a collision or another shop, despite the timeline and circumstances clearly tied to his work. Since then, my attempts to follow up have been ignored. At no point was I informed of any substitution, nor was I given the opportunity to approve the use of non-OEM parts. The use of OEM components was a key factor in my decision to proceed. When a mechanic diagnoses a repair, recommends replacement, and explicitly confirms OEM parts in writing, there is a clear expectation that those terms will be honored. That did not happen here. I strongly recommend that anyone considering working with Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic verify all parts being installed, request documentation, and thoroughly inspect the work before accepting completion.

I hired him again and he came on time, did the repairs (oil leak and 2 censors) and was done within an hour and a half and solved all the issues that I've had ongoing with my car. If I would've taken it to a shop it would have been sitting there all day. FYI I have a hybrid and not every one can work on this type of car. Definitely using again.

So I took it to A Better Auto Repair because it's not far from where I live and told them what had been going on. They called me back a day after I had dropped my car off, and they said there were no issues and that the car did not struggle to idle and they asked me to pick it up. So I went and picked up my car, but this time the idle issue was still there, and now my car has rod knock. I have babied my car, and there would be basically no reason for this to happen, but then I take my car here, and this new issue (along with the old issue that they said went away, even though it didn't) appears out of thin air, and they deny it all. Unacceptable. I'm now going to have to pay upwards of $10,000 for a complete engine replacement somewhere else. AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad quoted me for a complete swap at $13,000. I wish I were joking, but I am not. My entire family and I will never go there again. 0 Stars.

That said, we were specifically looking at 2026 models, and when we asked for a non-hybrid version, we expected to be shown a 2026, not a different model year without clear explanation. Even more concerning, the car has only about 2,000 miles and is already back in the shop for a clicking noise that doesn't sound normal. For a new vehicle, that's unacceptable and raises serious concerns about safety and reliability!!! Overall, this experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Buying a car here did not bring peace of mind--it created more stress.

I also appreciate that they make an effort to keep customers informed and contact you promptly once your vehicle is ready. The only downside is that loaner vehicles are never guaranteed, which can be inconvenient depending on the repair. Overall, great service and a trustworthy experience. Review for tire center…read more Contacted them multiple times by email, text, and phone and received no response. We were approached by them during a service by Carl. Carl advertised that they price match so we should do our tires with them. Thought it was a good deal until we brought our car in to get new tires only to find out they don't honor their price match bc they make you add on their "warranty" without choice which other tire shops don't. So you have to add the "warranty" from the other shop and coupons don't apply to get the total price. We already brought our car in at this point and didn't want to hassle bringing it another place, don't got time for that but if they answered one of our communications then we would have known that prior and ended up getting our tires at Discount tires. Even with their buy the 4th tire free, they aren't lower in price. I'd be okay with it if the service was better, but their service is also worse. Moral of story don't get tires here and I'm sure discount tires can do it much faster and they have lower alignment prices too if you need that. I've also had issues with their service center in the past but unfortunately they are the ones with appointments slots available versolus other Toyota centers.

We've had a few bad experiences here. We have owned 3 audis over the years - Audi A4, S4 & A8 - and even though we live nearby, and have tried to buy all 3 here, they have made it impossible to do business with them, so we have only bought 1 car from them. The other 2 we went out of the area - once to Orange County, the other time to LA because Hoehn would not offer a competitive price, and in once instance, would not even allow us to test drive the car (!!!). Us: "We'd like to test drive that car." Salesman: "Sorry, we don't offer test drives on the S4." Us: "Are you kidding? Isn't that what a dealership is for? We don't need to take it on the highway, we just want to test drive it - down the street is fine." Salesman: "Sorry, we don't allow test drives on that car." Us: "Listen, we're current Audi owners, we've bought a car here before and we want to buy an S4, so can you check with your manager or something...?" Salesman, after checking with his manager: "Sorry, he said no." Us: "OK, bye." We were amazed, to say the least. Why is it I can test drive a $100K Porsche or Mercedes, or even a $200K+ Ferrari, but not a $50K Audi? We drove up to LA the next day, test drove the car and bought it. In addition, Hoehn will not be competitive on their pricing. In both cases, Resnik Audi in LA and Newport Beach Audi immed came down to a reasonable price & we bought cars from them. The Service team at Hoehn Audi of Carlsbad deserves special recognition, especially Mario Garcia. Mario has been our preferred service advisor for over seven years now, and he has been nothing short of professional, responsive, and genuinely accommodating. Whether it's routine maintenance or time-sensitive requests, he always listens carefully and makes things happen when possible. A recent example was a quick service request on Christmas Eve, which was handled smoothly and without any stress. That level of consideration goes a long way. The detailed service videos sent after each visit are also extremely helpful. They're clear, informative, and reassuring, and they reflect a high level of transparency from the service team. Mario has truly been our go-to person over the years, and we look forward to continuing to work with him in the future. Thank you, Mario, for consistently excellent service. The dealership itself is another plus. It's well maintained, calm, and comfortable, which makes waiting or dropping off the car a pleasant experience. The location near the Carlsbad Outlet Mall is an added bonus and makes the trip worthwhile for us, even though it's about 30 miles from our home. Hoehn automotive Carlsbad has treated our family well over the years. From Honda to Acura and now Audi. Their service department is wonderful. I had some brake issues with my '14 Q5 and when Hoehn Audi of Temecula was no help whatsoever, Carlsbad took care of the issue. I just bought a new A3 from Carlsbad and had an issue with my wipers. Again, I tried Hoehn Audi of Temecula to no avail. They didn't solve my problem. So I took it back out to Carlsbad where I had purchased the vehichle and it was taken care of in 15 minutes. Not sure why Temecula Audi being owned also by Hoehn just can't get things together, but I always enjoy how I am treated at Hoehn Audi of Carlsbad. Big shout out to John and Dan in sales they were so helpful in finding the exact A3 I wanted. All I can say is that Hoehn Motors has done it again! They put together a brand new first class service facility to take care of my 2013 Audi A5. Well done Arron my service advisor and TJ the General Manager at Hoehn Audi for doing a great job. TJ is an exception to the rule and always on hand to say hello to his guest when they come in for service. He is what I would call an old school Manager. He is on top of things and reviews his guest names that have set an appointment to have there car service. He greets you by your first name and makes you feel special. I have never been in there when he hasn't come up to me and say hello. I even go out of my to say hello to him if I don't see him on the floor. He is never hiding in the back room like most managers. I was nervous about the car buying experience since it can be overwhelming and people can be so pushy, I had a WONDERFUL, painless experience with all the Hoehn Audi team members. Hoehn Audi treats me and my car as if Im thier most important customer. My car is older and I bought it used so I have had to bring it in for quite a bit of maintenance as well as repairs these past few years. Hoehns customer service is outstanding, in the past I encountered mechanics that were unable to diagnose the issues and then I was severly overcharged. This is not the case with Hoehn. Thier technicians are able to diagnose the issues quickly and despite most peoples opinion that dealers are more expensive than the smaller automotive repairs shops I have found the opposite to be true! And with Hoehn you know the job is going to be done professionally. My experience has been wonderful and I would never take my car anywhere else. took my car (R* with V10) in for its 45,000 mile service. I always use Mario who is great. I signed up on line for Mario but when I got there he was not in. Mike helped me and was very acommodating. I wanted a 45k service and new tires and check the tire sensors as they are always coming on. It took a full week for this service (not sure why but eachthing was not available... tires took 2 days, parts for sensors took another day, then missing sensor parts were another 2-3 days due to weekend. Seems like a long time to get simple stuff done. They say they only have 2 service techs who can work on R8 vehicles and they are a bit shorthanded... I had to take my car to Audi Carlsbad for its first service. I didn't remember that I had not included the maintenance service plan when I leased it so I was on the hook for all of the costs or so I thought. I was advised that I could purchase it right then and it would be valid thru the rest of my lease...Since the fist service was as much as the plan costs it was a no brainer and I thanked them for letting me purchase it. I've done 6000 miles on that car and only right now decided to write a review. So finally we got to the point when we can afford a new car and after some research we stopped our choice on Audi Q5. Well it is a premium brand. A lot of luxury is in there. First we stopped at the dealership located on the Miramar road, but we didn't get the discount we want, and we decided to give a try here at Carlsbad. So found even better trim with much more features, and with the discount we got it is like the same price as at Miramar dealership. So we signed everything the same day and drove away on a brand new Audi Q5. You need to test it to understand what is the real quality of it, how comfortable is it inside. read more

As usual, another great experience servicing my Audi. The car started making a loud whistling noise and the engine light came on shortly thereafter.....Called the dealer they let me drop it off the next morning and provided a loaner car are diagnoised it immediately as warranty work related to a breather valve gone bad and the completed the 42,000 mile service in the same appointment. Mike has been me service advisor at Audi and he just happened to be my service advisor at a prior dealership. I can say nothing but great things about his professionalism and his knowledge of cars incredibly detailed and has always been spot on with his early assessments. read more

Ralph is a great salesman. He kept me inform on when our car was on the lot and had it detailed within 24hrs. I searched all the Audi dealerships and this one had the best deal. I started with a true car quote and they beat it. My husband stopped at Walters Audi and the saleman pointed at the msrp and said that's the price! They later contacted me with a deal, but Hoehn was the best. Beware that the new dealership doesn't have a tv or playroom for children. They really need one. Very clean, sterile place. I just recently brought my Etron 8 to service and worked with Mike Sadoughi the service advisor. He is always so detailed and knowledgeable. Very professional service department with a focus on customer service. I am new to the area and was having problems with my Audi so I called three different Audi dealers to get quotes for service. Not only did Hoehn provide me with a quick quote but they even came to my home to pick up my Audi and dropped off a complimentary loaner car at the same time. I had my car back in 24 hours and they even worked with the factory folks to get my repairs covered under warranty although it had recently expired. Enough said - customer for life! read more

This place is a joke. The salesmen here try to tell you they can't take your vehicle back at the end of a lease term because of Covid-19. Ok, we will keep it, but comp it until Covid has settled down!! Nope. If you bring a lease return to this location and do not want another Audi, bring your attorney with you in case these pathetic salesmen try to make up their own rules because they can't make a sale and their inventory is through the roof. One word. Tanner…read more(service advisor). He legit has changed my mind about Lexus. I've had horrible service over the years from Escondido and San Diego. I was going to get rid of my (paid off) car and get into a non Lexus lease because I was getting frustrated and annoyed with service advisors. The Carlsbad location is a further drive and the center seems older. But I can tell you it was WORTH IT because of Tanner. He was upfront, honest, and knowledgeable when I first spoke to him. I needed brake pads and possible new rotors. I just trusted him when he said to first pay for the brake diagnostic (I think it was like $59.95?) and they'll know exactly the issue to see exactly what needs to be done. The fee will go directly towards any service and it wasn't a loss as I knew for sure my brake pads were worn badly. The loaner department was also quick and efficient (I think the guy's name was David?). He got me their newer 2025 RX to the loaner and I totally understand why they give Lexus loaners as I emailed tanner to say hey wait don't do the service as I may just trade in the car (kinda half joking here). But I know which car I'll be getting in the next two years now. The brake service was PERFECT. I didn't need new rotors (yes!!) but was super close to it (as i expected). I also decided to get a full interior/exterior detail for the car (haven't had it since owning it so it was much needed). I am back today for the alignment (got the wheels at Costco few min away as their 4 tire special beat Lexus). Hopefully alignment went well but I wouldn't expect anything less at this point with Tanner and his team here. Thank you Carlsbad Lex!

Instead, I was met with high-pressure sales tactics. They claimed the advertised online price was a "mistake," refused to hold the car with a deposit, and pressured me into buying that night. They also offered me next to nothing for my trade-in, then shooed me out without an orientation to the vehicle. I was told I had an option contract, but when I found a better financing rate, my calls were ignored. I was also pressured into buying an extended warranty, when I called Lexus corporate to cancel, I later learned the dealership hadn't submitted the required paperwork and the car was not tagged as certified pre-owned in the system. Emails and calls went unanswered for weeks until I contacted the general manager. If you buy here, make sure you secure outside financing before you walk in. They will relentlessly pressure you to finance through Lexus. The experience was so bad that I now go to Lexus Escondido for all my service instead of returning here. Edit: I forgot to include. They also charge you $2,000 for an "optional" security device which isn't a car alarm and they can't explain what it does- but it's actually not optional.

My family and I visited this dealership after seeing a used, non‑BMW car listed in the $20k range. The listing looked promising, so we made the drive. When we arrived, not a single salesperson approached us. If you prefer to wander a lot without anyone acknowledging your existence, this is the place. But if you're looking for a specific car, the lack of basic customer service is a problem. I went inside to ask for help, and that's when Lisa stepped in. She immediately assisted me, pointed us to the car, and despite already helping another customer, came out shortly afterward to get us set up for a test drive. She was efficient, professional, and genuinely pleasant -- everything a salesperson should be. We loved the car. My wife, who has a Master's in Accounting and handles the financial side of things, took over the conversation. And here's where the experience split in two: Lisa was exceptional. The finance manager was the exact opposite. We had already visited several dealerships where salespeople dismissed or ignored my wife. Those experiences were insulting -- but in hindsight, they made Lisa's professionalism stand out even more. Unfortunately, the finance manager (Jimmy or James -- they used both names) nearly destroyed the entire sale. Here are the highlights: * He openly belittled the car we were buying. Imagine a finance manager trash‑talking the product he's supposed to finalize. If the car is beneath him, why is it on the lot at all? * He was blatantly disrespectful to my wife. She handled it with grace -- "lions don't concern themselves with the opinions of sheep" -- but his behavior was unacceptable. * He didn't seem to know how to do his job. My wife spent ten minutes on Google and uncovered information that made his claims look ridiculous. * He tried to manipulate us with false urgency, insisting we'd lose the car if we didn't jump through specific hoops. Another quick search proved he was bluffing. * He gave us incorrect information about the vehicle, apparently assuming we hadn't done our research. * He promised a discount on the Dent Removal package, then conveniently ignored it when it came time to sign. * He clearly didn't want to work once he realized we weren't financing through him. We had cash and only took a small loan through our own bank. His frustration was obvious, and from that point on, he put in minimal effort. In short: Lisa made the sale. The finance manager tried his best to ruin it. BMW of Carlsbad should be grateful that Lisa was involved, because without her professionalism, transparency, and genuine care, we would have walked out -- and they would have lost the sale entirely.

However, about 3-4 weeks later, I received a call from my bank informing me that the loan on my traded-in BMW was already about 25 days past due and that I needed to make an immediate payment to protect my credit. When I contacted the dealership, they repeatedly bought time and told me they had already mailed the payoff check to the lender, which turned out to be completely false. Because I care about my credit and didn't want a late payment reported, I had to make the payment myself on the BMW M4 loan--all while also having my first payment on the new Audi RSQ8 due just 3 days later. Bottom line: if you care about your credit, be very careful when trading in a financed vehicle here. Taking 4-6 weeks or longer to pay off a trade-in is completely unacceptable, especially when customers are being told inaccurate information. I have never had another dealership handle a trade-in payoff this poorly. What makes this even more frustrating is that my BMW M4 loan was financed through AutoNation, and BMW of Carlsbad is also an AutoNation dealership, so this should have been even easier to process. Very disappointing experience after what started as a smooth transaction.
