    Breakfast sandwich
    Kathleen D.

This Auntie Anne's is located in the atrium within Charlotte's airport along with several other eateries and bars. It was early morning, so I ordered a breakfast sandwich that came with bacon, an egg, and cheese. The sandwich itself was very tasty, clearly filled with loads of butter, but it was small for the price and was not filling. On the plus side, there was no line at all and the cashier was very nice. This would probably not be first in line for breakfast in the Charlotte airport in the future, but if you have a hankering for a pretzel, it's always a safe bet.

Hey - so - this place was marginally better on my recent trip through the Charlotte airport! Maybe 2 1/2 stars, not quite 3 this time. Lines weren't as bad, and the service was much better. My pretzel was also quite tasty - salty and that right combo of crispy/doughy. I'm still a sucker for this nostalgic guilty pleasure - lots of memories of begging my mom to let me get one whenever we were at the mall as a kid. :)

The line was short and they have always been consistent with their pretzels. I had to get the hand rolled Classic pretzel dog. Omg delicious and addicting flavor the perfect snack for a lay over. Def more expensive than a regular location but that's airport for ya.

Great place to grab a salty snack in between flights. I ordered an Original pretzel today and it was fresh, warm and delicious! Nothing like an Annie's pretzel!! Yum

Hadn't been to a Cinnabon in years. Stopped in to get the 4 pack of BonBites to share as a snack with my wife. Tasty rolls and great service.

We took a red eye from LA to Charlotte and ended up having some time before catching our next flight. Found Auntie Anne's and figured we'd have a pretzel for breakfast. The lines at Bojangle's and Starbucks were horrendous, so we came here. The line was only a small fraction compared to the other breakfast food places in this airport. The woman at the counter got our order correct and was efficient at getting people through the line quickly. The pretzel tasted good, however, very thin in comparison to Wetzel pretzel. An okay experience for being stuck in this airport. Nothing special.

Conveniently located in the central hub of Charlotte-Douglas International Airport-this location was clean, the service was fast and the menu variety was good. The prices were comparable to mall locationsl. I will look forward to stopping here every time my travels bring me to CLT. Heck, I'm craving it now, three states away!

Pros: The only employee working day was really hustling! She was making the food and serving the counter. They had the shortest line of all the food court. She ran circles around other places with 3+ employees. The classic roll was delicious and not too expensive - $5.40 Cons: Hard to figure out where the line starts since the store is a bit hidden Pro tip: Sit on one of the rocking chairs and enjoy the piano music

Yum! Delicious, buttery pretzels available in a variety of options. Breakfast sandwiches, bites, pretzel dogs, etc. Originally we were going to order a pretzel dog. These aren't available until after 10:30 am so we chose a breakfast sandwich instead. The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich was tasty and filling. The bacon was crisp and the pretzel bun was soft and lightly salted. To finish breakfast with something sweet, we ordered a large almond pretzel and cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. I especially liked the sweet, soft almond pretzel. The almonds added a nice crunchy texture. Auntie Anne's is located in the heart of CLT closer to terminal C and D. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and recommend this establishment to others passing through CLT!

This location in wing A is not as busy as the main hall location. Service is fast and quick. Buns are cooked very well.

Staff was rude to my wife while placing order. I received the wrong items (salt pretzel instead of cinnamon sugar), but chose not to go back for the correct items due to the unpleasant interactions already endured. There was also hair on my wife's pretzel bites. Will not be returning. The ambiance of the airport food court is nice though. Really just a staffing and management issue. June 2024.

Edited to add pic of pretzel Had a layover in CLT and stopped by Auntie Anne's to grab a pretzel before our next flight. The woman who rang us up seemed to be bothered that we wanted to order something. We asked her a question about a pretzel and she mumbled the answer under her breath and we had to ask her to repeat the answer. Again it seemed as if we were bothering her. We ordered a pretzel and a pretzel dog. The person taking our order rung us up for mini pretzel dogs which are $2 more. When we tried to point out the mistake she said ok and disappeared from the counter. When our order came out we asked again to another person behind the counter. The guy then offered us a second hot dog due to being rung up for the wrong item. This was nice but we would of rather just gotten charged the correct amount and acknowledged when being rung up. Additionally our pretzel looked like someone just flung seasoning on it and was cold. Not a pleasant experience. I would pick another place at the airport if you have the option.

Updated Review (2026):…read more We've been coming to Gilde since they opened their doors in 2022. When we first began coming, they served delicious authentic German food. Unfortunately, they've changed their menu a dozen times and have removed our favorites from the menu (the original braised pork (they changed it over time, but the original was amazing) and the goulash) :( They have slowly evolved their menu into bar food to cater to the party-going crowd as their street has become more trafficked -- which now means a greater likelihood of having to succumb to the paid parking garage. We're big fans of their beers and did a brewery tour & tasting when Gilde was at its peak. Their beers are the reason I at least give them 2 stars: the pale wheat and red rooster are especially delicious. We even spent our NYE 2025 there and did the stein-holding competition. We've tried new things on the menu, desperate to give them more tries... but we keep ending up disappointed. For example, the steak sandwich is not a steak sandwich, but rather a kebab. We've driven the 40 min drive to go there and show up and then they are closed for a private event (with no notice on their social media). We have also brought friends there and have waited an hour for a server. Last Mother's Day, we showed up for dinner at 7:45 p.m (sure, that's a tad late.. but we left our home at 7) and were told the kitchen was already closed. This Mother's Day, we waited 45 minutes, with no updates or warnings, to be seen by a server. When we tried to place our order, we were told that we couldn't yet place our food order and that we had to order drinks separately because their kitchen was slammed. I'm no expert, but why not still accept customer's orders and speed up the kitchen by bulk-cooking? Can't multiple brats be made at once? Or larger portions of sauerkraut or bacon? Also, only a third of the tables were taken.. so that sounds like some poor kitchen capacity. When we were finally served our food (still took awhile even after putting in the food order), they had served my husbands meal 10 min before mine and then I was served mine.. and it turns out they still had forgotten about our daughter's French toast and had to START it. The disorganization or perhaps just lack of effort/care has gotten ridiculous. So disappointed at the way our favorite restaurant went downhill!

I love a place that lives their motto. "drink good beer, do good things"…read more The place: wide open with plenty of seating inside and out. I feel even if it's packed, there's still ample room to not feel like sardines. The food: delicious in all of their offerings. Fries were perfectly crisp and not oily. The cans we bought started leaking, we went back and asked if the leakage was a problem. They asked a few questions and profusely apologized and gave us two six packs of their beer with no charge. I tried to pay but they refused. They could have just said "sorry to hear" and sent us on our way but they made us whole. Plus, their code of conduct is awesome and should be a standard for all businesses. We're fans forever. Not only of their food and beer, but their values. Thank y'all so much!!

I chose the "Proud 2 Be" drink because it had bold red, white, and blue colors. I have to say: false advertising! I was handed a very muddled drink and I even asked, "This is mine?" and the staff member said, "Yes" and I said "It looks so beautiful and different in the picture" and she said, "Yeah, it looks different when you make it." The staff member was lovely - bright and bubbly from the moment we walked in and throughout the whole time she waited on us.
