    Fresh Island Fish Katsu

After zip lining, my family were pretty hungry and decided to eat at Kualoa Ranch. Aunty Pat's Cafe is quite busy with long lines. It does go by quick though and our orders were ready in about 15-20 minutes after ordering. Loco Moco: The hamburger patty was pretty dry. The gravy sauce was tasted like a generic instant gravy packet. Not much flavor. They also forgot the mushrooms so it's just onions. The mac salad was flavorless as well. Guava Pineapple Teriyaki Chicken Thigh: The chicken was alright. The teriyaki sauce was decent. The salsa doesn't have any guava just pineapple. It adds sweetness to the chicken. Fresh Island Fish Katsu: The fish was alright, the breading has a nice crispiness. The sriracha aioli and teriyaki sauce helps with the flavor of the fish. Garlic Butter Shrimp: This was a decent garlic shrimp plate. The shrimp has the skin so it can get messy to peel the skin off. Good amount of garlic and butter. The lemon wedge adds some tangy flavor to the shrimps. Pretty much the best plate out the ones we ordered. Overall, the plate lunches weren't satisfying in terms of taste. The portion was not bad and the prices were decent at a popular tourist attraction.

Lunch & a view! Stopped by for lunch after walking around kualoa ranch & had a great time! I had the falafel pita sandwich, and my other half had the guava pineapple chicken. My falafel itself was good, but I think it could've used more tahini or seasoning. The guava pineapple chicken was a hit though! Very flavorful with the pineapple salsa on top. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely eat outside if you want the beautiful Mountain View.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I stopped by Aunty Pat's Paniolo Café at Kualoa Ranch to check out the food and it is basically a quick grab n go spot with fresh homemade Hawaiian style dishes made to order. I got the beef hotdog which was ok, about 2.5/5, decent price and a huge portion but nothing too special even with condiments. I also tried the chili cheese fries and I am a sucker for crinkle cut fries, I did not expect actual beans in the chili which was different but it worked and tasted good, solid 4/5, and the portions are worth the price for being at an attraction. The lines can be a bit long so expect a short wait and be ready to order when you get to the front because they move fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a couple of tables inside but it is honestly best to take your food outside and enjoy the view and scenery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Loco Moco from Aunty Pats cafe at Kualoa Ranch. Good food, made fresh to order so you will wait

We had two hours to spare before our tour started, so we sat inside and got a little bite at Aunty Pat's Cafe. They had a good selection of food which included burgers, hot dogs, and specialty plates. They have an organized system of ordering your food as well as checking out and the staff is friendly. We enjoyed the chicken strips and burger with pepper jack cheese, onion rings, and fries. Sorry, but we didn't take pics. The burger was so good and the other items were average.

Had lunch while waiting for our Kualoa Ranch tour. The service was fast and food was good. The açaí bowl was huge with lots of fresh fruit. The sandwich was good with lots of fish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was outside at picnic tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

You are a captive audience if you have a more and afternoon activity but that's ok because the food here is really good! It's really busy at the height of lunch but they work hard and efficiently. My teriyaki guava chicken was so yumm! My husband enjoyed his fish and chips. There is so much seating! Inside and outside! Wow! Lots of food options including ordered items made to order as well as grab and go items. Don't be worried about finding something to eat between activities, they have lots to choose from!

Located inside Kualoa Ranch food court. Food- we got the loco moco and we shared. May not be for two people but we made it worked. The patties have room for improvement as it lacks of seasoning. Thank goodness for the gravy. Not as juicy as I expected it to be. At the most part, it's tolerable since we are hungry. The food court itself is crowded, but there are outside seating's if you prefer a more open space.

No pickles or onions on top

Ordered a burger and added grilled onions + pickles which they charge $1.50 each for adding, and asked for pepper jack cheese. Got my burger with no pickles, no grilled onions, and cheddar cheese. When I tried telling them they argued with me and said it was under the beef, which it was not. How hard is it to follow instructions to make a burger especially when your charging $15 for a basic burger. The kitchen staff here sucks and is not friendly. If you don't like your job then don't work in a kitchen serving people. We all paid good money to be on the ranch for the experience. At least be nice. I hope the staff can see my picture and please tell me where the pickles and onions are? Are they just using invisible veggies.

Great food! If you are in the area to experience the ranch, I would recommend stopping in and getting a bite to eat. The food was well priced, the service was quick, and the food tasted amazing. The General Tso Chicken was crispy and the sauce was tasty! I loved the mac and the rice on the side as well. The Aunty Patty Melt with fries was also tasty. I personally added an egg on top, and would recommend.

This garlic shrimp is the best on the island, period. Better than Giovanni's, aloha, jenny's, romi's, Tanaka Kahulu, you name it! Trust me, give it a try, you will NOT regret!

$15 locomoco with $4 s/o mac salad. Pretty good. Kinda bland but better than salty!
    Kevin T.

Everything in this place is kinda pricy but where else are you gonna find good food around here? I'll take it any day! I tried their locomoco today and it was pretty good with the mushrooms and onions. Kinda bland but I prefer it this way rather than too salty. If I'm back here again I'll define to try some other plates. Too bad they don't have kamaaina discount tho.

Got half terriyaki chicken and half terriyaki beef and both were really dry and not great...

I also would say that the price for food is a little pricier for my liking for the taste. The food isn't exotic, but it did taste good and their bread and guava butter were my favorite part of my restaurant experience! If it wasn't for the service, I would've given the restaurant a 3/5. Despite the long line/wait, the staff was actually really interactive and proactive with the parties they were serving, which we really appreciated! I didn't feel like we were waited long to get our food, eat, and get our check at the end, which was so perfect. It was a great first time at Haleiwa Joe's, but I'm not sure if it'll be a repeat for me! If you're in and want an amazing view for dinner though, this is great!

I walked in expecting a meal and was greeted with one of the most insulting experiences I've ever had as a customer. The restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY. Not a single customer inside. The man at the front looked at me and said, "Sorry, you can't eat here if you're single." I thought he was joking. He wasn't. Because I didn't have a girlfriend, wife, or friend with me, I was told I could not be seated. He actually said it was their "rule," and if he DID allow me to eat there alone, he would have to charge me MORE. Read that again: they were willing to turn away a paying customer from an empty restaurant simply because I came by myself. I have never experienced a business that treats single people as second-class customers. Apparently your money is only good enough if you arrive attached to another person. So if you're traveling alone, recently divorced, widowed, working nearby, or simply want to enjoy a meal by yourself, don't expect to be treated like a normal customer here. An empty restaurant, a willing customer, and they still refused service because I was alone. Absolutely shameful.

The food is consistently delicious, and the lunch special is where this place really shines. For around $30 per person, the all-you-can-eat option is an incredible value and one of the best lunch deals around. The service is decent--not exceptional, but good enough that it doesn't take away from the experience. The only downside for me is the dinner menu.
