What a lovely little spot. We stopped in before catching a movie on a Friday afternoon. It was quite busy but there was availability since it's just the two of us. We dined inside. Order at the register and food is dropped off at the table. We had the Tallow Biscuit Sandwich and Wagyu Loco Moco. The biscuit was hearty and dense. Half of sandwich was saved for later. Breakfast potatoes were yummy. Nicely seasoned. The loco moco was delicious though I should have added more gravy. (I love me some gravy ;) Didn't ask for extra though. I appreciated the dish being topped with micro greens. Nothing left on my plate. I'd order it again. There is a long table in the back for larger parties. Friendly staff. Decor is nice though it would be great to have some of it replaced with live plants. (I can see it being a lot to maintain in out of reach areas). Plenty of parking.

This place was super cute and yummy! I found this place on Yelp on Sunday and had to try based on all the great reviews! When we drove up there was a bunch of people standing outside at 11:30 am. We were worried there would be a long wait, but it must be good because of all the people there. We walked up and found out that you order and then sit down. The crowd of 10 were just waiting for some tables to clear up. My husband and I ordered the Mediterranean omelette with potatoes, wagyu Moco loco and the crème brûlée French toast. We found a table right away. Food took a bit to come but all of the staff was busy trying to take care of all the tables. We eventually got our water and after chatting and people watching, got our food. Everything was so good! The portions were a bit on the smaller side of what we're used to, but it was all very good. My husband loved his Moco loco and the French toast. I too loved the French toast. My omelette was perfect and the feta wasn't too strong. Happy they had Tabasco for my ketchup. The inside was super cute with the plants and pink ambient lighting. I definitely want to come back and try the wrap. My husband loved the Moco loco so much that he made it a couple days later because we had all the stuff to make it. It's now in our culinary rotation. :) Love that parking was so easy here and it's close to our house. Lots of seating for a small party. And tables clear pretty fast so not too much of a wait.

Love everything about this spot! Cute decor for a bestie brunch or just looking for a spot where everything on the menu sounds absolutely delicious. Order first and grab a spot inside or outdoors- very chic styled and the atmosphere is perfect for a great sunday brunch. Staff were beyond great in service and I definitely enjoyed my time spent here. Ordered the Prime Rib Chimichurri Sandwich with their tallow chips. First bite and I was speechless, meat was delicious in flavor and just so tender, there is a nice balance of sweet & savory with the balsamic dressing and i'm still obsessed with the thought of this sandwich. First time trying tallow chips and I really enjoyed the crisps, not overly salted which I appreciate greatly!

About 11 minutes from the Westin Carlsbad where we stayed after LEGOLAND. Nice quiet place for breakfast. Good food selection and everything we ordered was tasty. Had the loco moco, chilaquiles, French toast, bacon, and iced coffee. Loco moco was my favorite. Service was friendly and food came out pretty quick. If this place was in LA around Larchmont or Silver Lake, I think it would do really well. Would come back next time we're in Carlsbad.

I finally made it to Aura with a friend and it did not disappoint. We shared the pancakes, which were nice and fluffy that also came with delicious jam. The avocado protein toast gave me everything g I needed avocado and meat with chimichurri, it was very filling. We enjoyed a drink which was just right, not too sweet or overwhelming. The service was quick once we ordered our food at the front. It was a rather busy but not loud. The inside on the smaller side but there is also seating outside. I would definitely recommend.

I'm so happy to have finally tried this place-it is good, clean food! After a quick order at the counter, we found a nice seat in the sun outside! Drinks came out not too long after we sat, then not more than 10 minutes after was the food. We tried the Kale Hash (with a side of Salmon) and the Loco Moco. Food came out hot and the Iced Banana Cold Foam Chai was so delicious that I almost drank it like a shot! Service was excellent, there are waiters/waitresses even though you place the food/drink order at the counter inside. We'll definitely be back to try everything else!

I ordered the Mediterranean omelette to go. The omelette was hot and I enjoyed the feta cheese and fresh vegetables in the omelette. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned well and were delicious. This is a cute cafe with a nice patio. We received very friendly service. The vibe of the restaurant is chill and casual.

Stopped by for lunch with my besties today,l let me just say, this place was amazing! Many gluten free and vegetarian options. Fresh, seed oil free, creative healthy food. Just the way I like it. Coffee was good and they also had some other coffee drinks that looked good and will probably try next time. Cute patio, nice service.

The Shakshuka was good, but not really authentic in flavor. The sauce was not spicy. The tallow fried potatoes were flavorful. The Wagyu Loco Moco was good, however, the gravy was too salty according to my husband. The Breakfast Wrap was good. My daughter said she would order it again. I gave it 4 stars because there wasn't any Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi and the coffee drinks were average. The atmosphere was okay. It gets loud inside and you have to place your order at the counter. We were there the first week they opened and I would try it again, however, I do prefer a restaurant with servers that take your order at your table.

They have tables and chairs both inside and outside. Many of the tables have shade but not all. I don't feel this is an easy place to do larger groups as the seating is first come, first serve, and the plans scan be rather crowded. You have to order at the counter and then go sit down; they'll take the food to you. There is a bit of a wait for the food. I got the Mediterranean omelette which was pretty good. I did feel the serving size was rather small, and I'm a small person. It's pretty pricey for the serving size as well. The home fries were rather crunchy. I prefer them on a softer side.

(4.4 stars) Aura Gardens is a great place to hang out with friends, go to brunch, and to bring your dog to. My family and I went for lunch and really enjoyed our meals. The staff were so nice and although it was very busy today, they handled it so well. 2 dishes that really stood out to me that we got were the lemon ricotta pancakes and the Mediterranean omelette. I thought the pancakes were so fluffy and had the perfect sweetness. I loved the strawberry jam and the strawberries+ricotta cream. The Mediterranean omelette was my favorite. They were some of the best eggs I've ever had. So light and flavorful! Definitely getting that again. My mom got the strawberry matcha latte and thought it tasted like water with matcha powder. She said couldn't taste any of the strawberry puree... Overall, the food is honestly pretty good. Might opt for their coffee next time. The pancakes and omelette were really good! Coming back soon!

place was packed when we stopped for a late Saturday morning brunch. eclectic crowd. the weather was comfortable, and we were able to sit outside. service was engaging and personal -- very interactive, which I appreciated. the nineteen-year-old had the GREEN GOODESS STEAK BOWL (ribeye, baby greens, farro, feta, avocado, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and green goddess dressing). a big hit. the wife-unit had the KALE HASH (poached eggs, kale, sweet potatoes, black beans, bell peppers, parmesan cheese, green goddess aioli, and pico de gallo). another big hit. I had the WAGYU LOCO MOCO (wagyu beef patty, caramelized onion gravy, 2 eggs over medium, white rice, and microgreens). a near miss. a very pleasant brunch experience. looking forward to future visits.

My husband and I came here for the first time around lunch and as soon as we walked in everyone working there greeted us! My husband got the Wagyu Burger and LOVED IT! I tried the Potato Hash Kale Salad with Poached Eggs and I was blown away with the flavors! I'm 9 months pregnant so let me tell you that the baby and I were happy dancing while eating! New favorite spot! Their menu is great, i love the vibes and decor To top it off, the owner was there and spoke with us, very friendly, great convo! It's rare to find to find a place that can provide high quality, delicious food, and good coffee. And this place delivers! I had multiple things off the menu in two visits and everything has been delicious. GET THE LEMON RICCOTA PANCAKES! The coffee is top notch. MOCO LOCO is amazing here! The food is super clean and delicious. Zero seed oils in the building! The crew working here is warm and friendly. He shared his story with us a bit: The owner came from Steak House family who's owned and operated them for decades. Food is prepped with olive oil and beef tallow. We had Protein Toast and the Moco loco. Both were amazing. Worth the drive from Del Mar to visit here. We will be back! read more

I'm so grateful to have Aura Gardens in the neighborhood. We went for the first time today and will definitely be back--this is going to be a regular spot for us. I brought my daughter here and we both had such a great experience! The vibe and decor was so dang cute!! The food and drinks were 10/10!! My daughter had the kids pancake (not pictured) and probably the best we've ever had. The protein toast was so flavorful and filling! I visited on a Saturday morning and had the lemon ricotta pancakes and a spicy Mexican mocha. The pancakes met my expectations based on their overall review and the price. IMO the coffee was a little weak and didn't have much spice at all. I was pleased by the service. Overall: 9/10 - definitely 5 stars for the service and vibe We're a family of four with two kids, and on our way from LA to San Diego, we chose this spot as a mid-point stop for brunch. We ordered the Loco Moco, French Toast, a side of potatoes, and a side pancake for the kids. Vibe: This place is very welcoming. The dining area, bathroom, and kitchen were all clean and nicely decorated. Service: Everyone we encountered was super friendly. They took the time to introduce some of the popular menu items, which we really appreciated. Price: Very fair. Food: The French Toast was excellent. It tasted more like a cinnamon roll than traditional French toast, in a good way. The pancake was fluffy, and the potatoes were well-seasoned. Everything was great, except for the Loco Moco. The gravy was fairly standard and a bit under-seasoned (not salty enough for my taste), and the rice was mushy. read more

Aura Gardens is easily one of the best brunch spots in Carlsbad right now. The vibe is clean, relaxed, and perfect for slowing down and enjoying your morning. Food is fresh, creative, and full of flavor -- not your typical heavy brunch. Coffee, tea, and Mimosas are on point, and everything feels thoughtfully done. Service really stands out too -- friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being over the top. Owner is going around asking customers about their experience and how to improve it. Amazing trendy spot. Not only is the decor beautiful the food is amazing too. My daughter celebrated her 16th Birthday brunch with friends here and the staff and owner went above and beyond to make her feel special. The food and drinks were amazing and the staff were beyond nice and so attentive making sure we had everything we needed. Can't wait to go back! What a great gem in the shopping center! We actually stumbled upon the place while running errands and decided to go in. Rarely do I write reviews but I had to jump on quick to tell everyone how good it is. My husband ordered the wagyu burger and I ordered the steak bowl. Both were very good!!! They have a sign out for brunch and I can't wait to go back to try more from their menu. Prices were same as everywhere else nowadays but they actually give REAL service and you feel like they care about you! The owner came out to chat with us to ensure all was well with our meal. Oh, I also got a lavender vanilla matcha which was so beautifully presented and delicious...I wish I took a photo. We are definitely going back!! read more

A couple weeks ago, I decided to meet up with my brother at Aura Gardens for brunch. It was a perfect spot, since he was coming from the OC and we didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding parking in downtown. But what blew us away was the level of quality and consideration in their menu. No seed oils, fresh fried potato chips and in-house gluten-free bread in their establishment?!? That is almost unheard of on its own. And lemme say that their menu items were also NOT boring. The men ordered Prime Rib Chimichurri sandwiches and I got the Prime Rib Benny's. We were not disappointed! Plus their Thai lemongrass tea and spicy Mexican mocha were also delicious. Would have ordered more with so much variety, but a girl gotta watch her waistline! As someone who is health conscious and appreciates gourmet food,, it is such a delight to see when a family business takes such pride and care in what they serve their customers. Their care reflects the moment you walk in, from their welcoming smiles to the beautiful interior aesthetics. I can't wait to go back to this unpretentious, approachable brunch spot in this part of town again, even if it means driving almost an hour to get there. I just hope the lines are short when I do, 'cause it's not going to be a hidden gem for much longer. read more

WOW! Just returned from lunch at Aura Gardens and was so impressed. The staff is very friendly but leave you in peace to enjoy your food. I had the Wagyu burger and it was the best burger that I have had in recent memory. Tallow chip side dish were light, crispy with just a hint of beef flavor. My daughter had the Shakshuka. I have no idea what the name means but she inhaled her food, one more piece of bread and she would have wiped the pattern from the plate. We already planned our next visit and will most likely make it a weekly outing. read more

People love it. I thought it was fine but not "blow your socks off". My tablemates agreed. I have a suggestion, if the owners are reading. On weekends, or during busy times, you should seat people, not have open seating. We, a party of 4, came in on a weekend day. There were no tables for 4 open. There were tables for 4 with two people at them. There was even a table probably for 6 or 8 with two people at it. There were a few open tables for 2 where they could have sat. read more

The food and coffee is superb here! I also love the decor. It's very calming with the tranquil, icy blue and rosy pink accents. The lemon ricotta pancakes are the best I've tried in this north county area. The strawberries on top add a touch of naturalness as well as the jam on the side in place of syrup. I also adore the sweet potato kale bowl; so healthy and yummy! The coffee is rich, bold, and..., is that a note of roasted hazelnuts? Get some cream on the side so you can stir it with a teeny tiny adorable spoon! Another benefit? Easy parking!! read more

With their great reviews in half expected that we may have to wait to eat. When we got there, we had to wait in line to order our food but there were plenty of tables. We had the Farro Shrimp Fried Rice. Very good- we got it with soft cooked eggs but next time I think a soft boiled egg would be better: we also shared the Green Goddess Steak Bowl. Good but not as good as the Fried Rice bowl. Service was so attentive! Atmosphere is super cute! Prices are very fare for the quality of food. Oh- not to be forgotten, I had their Rose Latte. Wow! I wish there were more stars to give! The service was fast, staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the food was incredible. I got the Wagyu Loco Moco and it was delicious. From ordering at the counter to food in my mouth was probably less than 5 minutes. The manager told me all of the meat is processed on site, which I think is pretty cool. The price was decent for the area and quality of food. The interior was very clean and modernly designed but I opted for the nice shaded outdoor seating. This place will be going into the rotation of regular brunch/breakfast spots for sure. Will be back soon! read more

I ordered the salmon Benedict, which was a little different from the traditional eggs Benedict I usually get. The toast it came on tasted incredibly fresh and was a great base for the dish. I was actually surprised that the salmon was baked rather than the usual smoked salmon you often see on Benedicts. It tasted good and was well prepared, although I personally prefer some of their other menu items. One thing I absolutely loved was the lemon ricotta pancake. It was light, flavorful, and easily my favorite thing we ordered. The salted caramel latte was also delicious. The moment I walked in, the atmosphere was simply beautiful and incredibly welcoming. The staff, from my waitress to the owner, were all so warm and inviting, which really made the visit special. I ordered the over-medium eggs with sourdough toast, and it was perfectly prepared--simple but delicious. My guy friend, on the other hand, couldn't stop raving about his salmon croquette burger and side salad. He spent at least 20 minutes explaining why it was the "perfect burger," so I'll definitely have to try that next time! Aura Garden is a beautiful spot with amazing food and even better service. Aura Gardens was an amazing surprise! The service was excellent from start to finish, and every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. One thing I really appreciated was the ample parking, which made the experience even more convenient. Honestly, you would never expect to find such a hidden gem in this area. The atmosphere, quality of the food, and outstanding customer service all exceeded my expectations. I came across this restaurant a few weeks back, and what a find! It's refreshing to have such a high-quality spot in this corner of Carlsbad, eliminating the need for a trip into the village, though the village certainly has its charm. Still, having a place nearby that serves excellent food without seed oils feels long overdue. We sampled the burrito, croissant, and mocha latte, and each one was fantastic.
