We went for dinner last night I ordered a pad see ew with chicken and chicken pineapple fried rice and my total came out to almost $40 all for it to be served on paper plates and solo red cups for our drinks. Way over priced for the amount of food we were served as well as the quality & general presentation. Came from work in my scrubs to pick up my food. They are taking all covid-19 precautions, cute set up and very clean. They saw me in my scrubs and thanked me for working and told me to stay safe. I love this place not just because the food is amazing BUT also because they are taking great precaution during Covid19. They shut down their in restaurant dining and they have hand sanitizer and practice social distancing when taking orders at their outdoor table...thank you!!! This place deserves my 5 stars! Been ordering from here for years and it's always consistently fresh and yummy. Never greasy, never bland, always has super fast delivery, too! Every now and then I venture out and try new Thai places around the neighborhood, but I always come back to Aura. Typically we order the Pad See Ew, Panang Curry and a Kaprow Rice dish. Everything is always well seasoned and flavorful and the Panang is literally to die for. I seriously crave it! The chicken is always cooked perfectly and is never tough or overdone. The noodles in the Pad See Ew can sometimes be a tad overdone, but never to the point where they become mushy. And they're always seasoned perfectly and are beautifully caramelized from the wok, so that can make up for the noodle texture if they happen to come a bit over done. I just had a delivery today, and I swear I'm never venturing away from Aura again when I'm ordering from the neighborhood. No need to mess with success anymore. So it's dinner night at my house (day before thanksgiving), I invite the family over for Thai from my neighborhood. I was only able to take a picture of a few items...apparently everyone's appetite was vulture like due to running around. I've eaten here before so I know it's good. I got me the satay chicken which comes with a small cucumber salad side and some coconut sauce, perfect but allot. Everyone enjoyed the dishes which were orange chicken with white rice, chicken pad Thai and roast duck soup. Oh and an order of fried wonton which are filled with this yummy potato filling. There's outdoor seating and online ordering and overall their food is fresh and good, but keep in mind typically their servings are for two plus. In my opinion anyway. And for those complaining about waiting 25 or so minutes for your food to be done..hey it's fresh what did you expect? Tip: call or order online, it'll cut your wait time. My go-to Thai spot in LBC cuz its walking distance from me workplace. Honestly though, I'm not a big fan of their rice dishes, they feel very generic and not authentic at all. Which is actually very puzzling since all the workers here are actually Thai people... I do like their soups a lot though! My favorite soup is the yum yum noodles. I took a chance and brought my parents here. My dad LOVES Thai food and a friend recommended it, so I wanted to try it out. First off their service is good, but some of their food was only okay to me. Our party of 4 ordered: -Wonton Soup (So-so, would not order again. I should of tried the Tom Yum, but was afraid of how spicy it would be) -Larb (Medium - too spicy for me, but my mom said she liked it.) -Pad See Lew (Good, but a little too much greens and not enough meat and noodles) -Aura Fried Rice (I'm not a fan. Dad got the mild and I just know he didn't like it. Great food, prices are a little higher than other places but so far it's been worth it. We've had their Pad Thai, drunken noodles, won ton soup, larb salad, and Tom Ka Gai soup, which were all great!!! We've also had the fried calamari, Thai sausages, and egg rolls which are okay but not my favorite. Lastly we had the sticky mango rice which we will not order again. This review is based solely on the Thai Boat Noodles that I had. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and decided to try Aura Thai since it was close to my house and Elephant Thai Kitchen was closed. The Thai boats noodles were SO EXTREMELY SALTY that I couldn't take more than a few bites. I tried picking at the meats but it seemed like the meats were already brined from the soup and just as salty. The noodles on the other hand, felt day old. It's the feeling of digging into your soup to find that the noodles are hard and clumped together and it takes a while to pull apart. The customer service was also a bit laggy. There were only two other people in the restaurant and it took them a while to refill my water, which I desperately needed. Or maybe I was drinking the water so fast that it seemed like it was taking them a long time to refill my water. My friend had the Nam Tok steak salad, which I tried a little bit of to get the salty taste from my mouth. It was mediocre at best but considering there are a plethora of thai food restaurants in Long Beach, I probably won't ever come back here. read more

I was very disappointed after getting 2 of the aura soups one had very little seafood in general and the other was a bit better but still neither of the containers had any fish in it. it's literally a giant container of broth with a few pieces of seafood. Very casual, seems like a mom and pop shop. Possibly family ran restaurant. I had to ask for utensils still. But place is very affordable for amazing quality food.
