The food here is not really authentic Thai. Ordered to go; the Thai Boat Noodle and Krapow Pork The Thai Boat Noodle Broth is sweet, no savory richness, no darkness, no blood. The Broth is pretty much translucent brown. The Krapow Pork; you'd expected to be ground meat as authentic as possible. They were slices of pork. Also they have Green Beans! Not authentic. Also upon bagging the, no utensils or napkins were provided, no sauces or condiments. The food was not edible, eventually tossed out.

Party tray was very delicious!

If you're looking for delicious Thai food in Long Beach, Aura Thai is a must-try. We go to this place pretty often and recently ordered from them for my wife's birthday party as well and it was such a great experience. They just launched their new party tray menu, so we decided to give it a try and wow, it was a hit! Every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Our guests kept asking where the food was from and everyone loved it. The portions were generous and perfect for hosting a group. Some of our favorites were the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Panang Curry, and the Thai BBQ Chicken, everything tasted good. The owner and the workers are genuinely kind, welcoming people who care about their customers. They made the ordering process easy and were very accommodating with details. We will definitely be ordering again and recommending Aura Thai to all our friends and family.

Thai Iced Tea, Panang Curry, Orange Chicken, Drunken Noodles, Firecracker Wings

Firecracker wings was the favorite part of our meal that we ordered it twice because it was crispy and had good flavor. The chicken was tender and not dry. If you order medium spice, be prepared because it is spicy. The Orange chicken was crispy yet tangy--definitely helped that it came with rice or it would've been a very sour dish on its own. Drunken noodles kind of was disappointing because it wasn't as salty or flavorful as most places but highlight would be that they used really big/wide noodles. Friendly service. Ambiance is casual.

Yet another amazing trip to Aura Thai. Absolutely loved the yellow curry. It had a wonderful sweet yet spicy flavor to it. It was just what I was looking for on this day! The LARGE thai iced tea. Folks, it's served in a doggon vase. It is large lol Thanks Chris for a great lunch at your place

Delivery food ordered. Received Won Ton Soup, Curry Chicken, Pad Thai Noodles and Thai Ice Tea. All were delicious, no complaints. I gave this place 4 of 5 stars since I did not actually dine at this location. I was not able to experience the full vibe. Food is delicious which is all that mattered. Serving size is decent. Since the food was so good, I actually wanted more and was not satisfied by the serving size provided.

This place is horrible.. ordered pork prik king but I got chicken and they tried to lied that it was chicken.. I literally could tell the difference... I would never ordered from there again.. the fact that they tried to lied and keeps insisting it's not .. went I could tell it's chicken meat ..definitely will go else where!!! Again , came here three years ago ... left a review.. about how bad it was .. now 3 years later .. again .. I wanted to see if there's any changes .. or something.. wanted to try it again .. but definitely I'm done .. this place sucks!!

Goopy drunken noodles. I think the kitchen might be drunk.

This review is going to hurt. Because the customer service is 5/5. But the food is 1/5. 1 star for good flavoring. The rest is pretty bad. The drunken noodles were so stuck to each other it was just a pile of goop that formed to the plate. The only way to eat it was to cut up chunks of it at a time like it was jello. Although ordering it with meat, the dish was filled with veggies for more than half the space.

I've been coming to aura Thai for years and it's been a bit since I've ordered from here but I was shocked with the prices now. I ordered four dishes for pick up and they came out to $70 total not including tip. The food isn't bad but it isn't great either so it's definitely not worth the price. I ordered a fried rice, chow mein and 2 glass noodle salads. I thought it would be about $55 or so. I usually spend $50 for pho for fam of 5 (3 of which are children) or $80 at my favorite Thai place for 6 different plates. I don't think I'll be back

Firecracker Wings ***Must Try***

I love supporting local restaurants, I had gotten back into town didn't want to cook. I ordered a pizza from #thunderbolt, as I was leaving I noticed the sign for fire pepper wings. I love wings so I ordered wings 10 minutes was my wait time . It's a cute restaurant you may dine inside or out which I love the option. The wings were yummy will definitely order again. When we arrived home my daughter realized she didn't have her purse called the restaurant it was left hanging on a chair , glad I only live 10 minutes away...

This restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall Thai place in Long Beach. Came on a Thursday night and dined in with no wait. The food overall was just ok compared to the many other options for Thai in Long Beach. I ordered the Thai Basil fried rice and it just tasted like regular fried rice, no Thai basil flavor at all like I'm used to with this dish. I tasted the Tom Kha soup and it was actually really good and full of flavor. The firecracker wings had great flavor and crunch, only downfall is that the wings had a lot of fat on them. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back but the food was ok!

It's gotten a lot more popular since then, with some great additions to the menu (a lot of vegan options) and social advertising. So when I was walking back home from a delicious (but not filling) lunch, decided to stop in to 'top off'. It had a great dish along with very good banchans (but also a bland rendition of a classic Korean dish). It was busy on a mid Saturday afternoon, with their dedicated backyard parking lot pretty full. They now have outdoor seating where they've set-up korean 'grill-your-own' bbq tables. There's a clear 'Please wait to be seated' sign at the front, but no dedicated hostess station, so one has to wait till a server happens to come by. I was told I could choose a booth. There are no printed menus, instead needing to depend on their website. I had a craving for kimchi jjigae ($18.99), and noticed mackerel ($9.99) so got that as well. The jjigae comes with banchan, and those came early. They really upped their game here, with 7 different ones that looked (and tasted) great. Today, they had a daikon and carrot pickled salad (solid, would go great with fried chicken), stir-fried mushrooms (would go great in a bibimbap), marinated fish cakes (a personal favorite, and their version was solid), soybean sprout side dish (have grown to appreciate this as I've gotten older), napa kimchi (pretty strongly sour), cucumber kimchi (strongly favored by still maintaining crunchiness), and a decent macaroni salad (think I tasted a bit of potato in there, Hawaiian-style). This is a super good deal, especially for lunch. The banchan along with the steamed rice (well prepared) comes in bronze looking dishes, indicating a higher level of refinement. I love pike mackerel, having it quite a lot when growing up, and always thought that it (kkongchi) was what mackerel was in Korea. In reality, a more popular mackerel is the Korean mackerel (godeungeo), and this is what is served as an appetizer here: the preparation was a revelation. Two large, generous, boneless filets of mackerel is lightly breaded and fried. It sits on top of a bed of greens with various accompaniments. A generous amount of chili threads make it visually appealing as well. This is an absolute steal at the price, a fine dining dish at this restaurant. And it was great not having to worry about thin bones ruining each bite. I really loved this dish. The dish I thought would be good...was not. Just looking at it, one can tell something's up: the broth was bland without umami, which is the worst sin for this dish. There is a choice of spam (chosen) or pork belly, and its definitely added at the end of cooking since it added nothing to the broth flavor. Maybe the broth is initially prepared vegan-style (no pork or fish seasoning initially)? But if so, why no mushrooms? Anyway...I ate all the chunks in the stew to not waste, but left the rest of the broth alone. Service was attentive to bring the dishes, but then completely non-responsive afterwards. I finally was able to grab another server, who was able to check me out tableside using Toast tablets.

Tom Kha - loved the straw mushrooms that use in it!! The chicken was tender and perfect. Yellow Curry - delightful.
