Less than a month ago I bought a Mini Cooper, I bought it from Harris, after one week of driving the breaks were broken and sunroof was also damaged. They fixed the breaks after some time with negotiation. But they refused to accept that the sunroof was broken. I don't understand why after I bought this car every week something was breaking. The honk doesn't even work. They showed me some papers saying that the car is in good conditions but it was all a lie, maybe just because I am a girl that does not have knowledge with cars they think they can lie to my face, and now I have to put so much money out of my pocket for something that is not even my responsibility. Used car dealers get a bum rap. Many times, they bring it on themselves. They're known for pumping up a car that really doesn't deserve it. When they get your phone number, they'll bug you every day, even if you make it clear that you never answer the phone and please send you an email or text. Cal Worthington and his dog Spot poked fun at that stereotype by acting out the stereotype in the most ridiculous way; like Rush Limbaugh said in the past, demonstrating absurdity by being absurd. Enter Autoland. They're located on the most extensive auto row in the Bay Area, so competition is tough. The absurd stereotype can be seen here. But I had a situation that they made work, and went out of their way to make it work. I won't go into details, but financing wasn't a slam dunk, even with my prequalification letter. I needed only an inexpensive way to get from Point A to Point B. They had a car available that would do that. Naturally, they tried to upsell me to one nearly four times more expensive. The agent I worked with worked with Autoland's finance manager and the lender to get something to work within the restrictions that were available. And they did it. Which brings up something. A lot of people do not have the five figures of cash available to drive away in a great car. Some loan will need to be involved. If a dealer can do that loan, the dealer is more likely to sell more cars. Cal Worthington found that he made more money on the financing than he did on selling new or used cars. Autoland has financing available, and I found out first hand that they will try to make it work. I have had this car for over a week now. I'm satisfied with it. And I'm satisfied with Autoland. We in the Bay Area have a lot of choices close by to buy cars, and Autoland could work as a choice for you. read more

He showed us around the cars, friendly dude . First day we decided we wanted this car and he took 2k deposit said to come back next day and we would be set ... Next day ... I drove 15 miles from my home and was greeted by some man ? Unsure of his name but claimed to be the "finance guy " I told him I wanted to speak to Hugo and he let me know that Hugo responded to him and what he said goes . Sorry for wanting to speak to my first point of contact they let me know that things were more complicated than what they thought . Returned my deposit and said they would call me . ( don't get me wrong they tried ) I called him the day after and offered more as a deposit and he said he would ask and call me back ... never called back to give me any type of answers . This review is for Maria. My brother bought a car from them 2 years ago and today he had the most disrespectful and rude phone service from her. We had issues on what our warranty was and needed some clarification, hence why we called. She was very uninterested in answering his questions. She even refused to pull up his contract. She said she doesn't have time for him and his questions and to call her manager instead then hung up the phone. It seems this dealership only cares about selling cars and then toss you to the side once you become a client. I will be coming to the store to speak to the manager directly. We weren't really interested in purchasing today. We were just going to browse. But we came across a jeep wrangler 2010 and we loved it. We didn't have all the papers with us because like I said we weren't planning on buying today. We ended up going home to get the appropriate docs and return shortly. We went back around 2pm and Hares helped us right away. Hares I have to give you credit you were super helpful and knowledgeable and really made us feel comfortable which resulted in the purchase all together. We were there for about 4 hours but it could have been a lot shorter as we had our own issues to resolve (not the dealers fault). Over all we traded in our Nissan Moreno and got a great trade in price! We also put a little down and guess what. We walked out owners of the jeep wrangler we were looking for. I filled out the credit application online at the start of the day. They had all my information including what I was willing to put down. Going back and forth with Joe on the phone and eventually he calls me and says "we have a way" and told me to "come on down" I took BART from SF all the way to Hayward for them to have me sitting around for and hour and a half then tell me that they needed $3500 more than what they knew I was willing to put down. They said that they mailed it to me but I know they lied, I get emails on my phone everyday letting me know exactly what I'm getting in the mail and I have yet to see the registration and sticker. I bought a car for cash last night and I was in and out in 1.5 hours with everything handled for me with the DMV. Luiz was so helpful, the staff took care of me and this was truly a gem hidden away on Mission. Worst car buying experience ever. I would give this a minus 5 if I could. I drove seven hours to see a vehicle. Before making the trip, I called in advance to be sure the vehicle had cruise control. Salesman said, "Yes, definitely". I arrive and I immediately notice there is no cruise control. He says, it will only cost me $300-500 to have it installed if I buy the vehicle.. what?! Not even an apology. After driving it, I agree to buy it.. he starts the paperwork and he slides the car fax in with all the other paperwork he is preparing. I look at it. Vehicle was in a crash and has a major safety recall issued for the driveshaft. I ask why he didn't mention any of this since I am sure he knew about it. He says, "what, I'm not hiding anything.. I just gave you the Carfax". I basically called him out for not mentioning either of those things despite me being there for hours and knowing for over 24 hours I was coming. IF he was not aware, he made zero effort to read and convey the history of the car. I also expressed my displeasure the vehicle did not have cruise when I was told it did, and so he literally yells at me (no exaggeration.. my girlfriend heard him from the parking lot outside 100 feet away) for "questioning his integrity". So after he calms down he says he'll take the vehicle to the dealership to fix the recall issue because he "wants my business" and wants to "get this deal done". Again, no apology for his behavior. I proceed to ask for the cruise control to be installed while in for the recall since I am paying his asking price that he wouldn't budge on. He says he can't do that. I ask why not.. he says because it will cost him $1000. It wasn't an hour earlier he said it would cost me $300-500!! Long story short I walked.. I have never seen such little effort or courtesy or INTEGRITY from a business. I mean take your vehicles to get the recalls dealt with. Your customers would appreciate that.. It costs you nothing. And be kind to people. It doesn't cost anything either. read more

Got sold a limon, even after the fact that i have previously purchased a car with them and had an amazing experience and a great relationship with this dealer. My second purchase with them My transmission went out on a 2010 Chevy equinox a month after I bought it. It was a hassle to have them help me fix it so I ended up just letting it go. After putting $2500 down to purchase the truck and multiple transmission shops saying the repair would cost me $5000 or more. I should of just bought a used car in cash instead of getting a repo on my credit and a loss of $2500 out of my pocket. read more
