The owner sold us a $14k truck. Included in this amount were the smog, license and various fees. Upon receiving payment the owner said the vehicle didn't pass smog and asked us to "drive the car for a few hundred miles and bring it back to smog". When I pressured the owner to include a clause in the contract that said he would unwind the deal, he scoffed and side stepped the issue. I then forced him to refund the money and we left. I'll be posting this on all relevant social media, so people know who they're dealing with. Drove a fairly substantial way to be inconvenienced by the news that the vehicle had been sold yesterday. We were never notified nor were we even offered an apology for wasting our time. Now that i paid the extra to get the leakage fixed and alignment, now I'm stuck with a transmission that is going bad. That car began to shift hard so i chose to have the acura dealer change my transmission fluid and they called me saying they shouldn't change it because they saw excessive metal pieces in the little bit of oil that they took out. They told me the transmission will go. Looks like i need an attorney to fight this company that is just stealing peoples money i didnt pay no measly 4grand for the car i paid 10 grand. More then 10 grand if you count the extra 1000 of repair that i already done to the car only 3 months into having it. By far one of the fastest, easiest and happy car buying experience we ever had. We drove three hours to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee here because it was a great deal compared to overpriced dealers in our home town. We didn't feel rushed or pressured. Anything less than a 5 star review for this company is a fluke! All the reviews from those who visited this Broker/Wholesaler and had the pleasure to meet with Rich, are definitely on point! Beautiful cars; well proteced in the showroom, and the service? Excellence. I called Rich on the morning after Thanksgiving Day, and he answered. I explained to him my interest in the 540i that was just posted on craigslist that morning. Rich says he rarely posts anything online. I tell him, I'm just short of the asking price, and he says, "come down (a 1.5 hour drive) to the showroom and I'll work with you." Surely, I'm thinking...if I drive down there...I don't want to be let down. My brother and I get there and we look at the car, inside and out. Absolutely beautiful, clean, and detailed. Presentation is everything. Rich comes out to greet us, and he hands me the keys and says, " take it for a spin, come back, if you like it, I'll send you to the local mechanic for smog and safety inspection." My brother and I look at each other, "huh?" So I ask, "Where's the nearest BofA so I can cash the paychecks I've been saving?" He responds with directions and says, have fun! WOW. From there, it was cross the x's, dot the i's, date the lines. We were out of there in less than hour. Although, I still haven't had the mechanic do his Smog and Safety Analysis, but Rich made it clear, "just get it done, and it will be taken care of." You might think I'm taking a risk. Sure. But the experience I had with Rich, and the outook of his reputable showroom and selection of cars, and the outsanding Car Fax report, and performance of that 540i, was enough for me to trust. I was subjected to HORRIBLE treatment and RACISM at this car company! If i could give them less than one star I most certainly would! I purchased a car from Stanford YEARS ago, they never sent me a Title for the car. The car is totalled and my insurance needed a release from the car company which was a 1 page document from DMV that needed to be filled out from them and notarized. After getting the run-around via telephone, I decided to take a drive because they've been giving me the runaround. Once I get there there Rich took one look at me with an appaling look of disgust and disdain and basically told me that I was lying and that I had never purchased from them!!! This man looked me up and down like I was crap on the bottom of his Shoe! While trying to explain and show proof that i did purchase the vehicle, He tossed papers at me and my cousin who was with me and began to shout at us told us to Shut Up and get out of his office!!!! I shared with him how unfortunate it was that as a business man he would allow his personal racist agenda to prohibit him from being just and fair with a paying customer! He proceeded to tell me that he would not sign the paper that I went to DMV to get, which the car comapny should have had! He told me that there was no way I could have purchased a car from them and that he had no record of me on his computer, which was false, he said that he would not leave his office to go het the document notarized even when i offered to pay for it! He continued to shout at us and say that he wasn't going to sign anything and that he would call the police on me if I wouldn't leave! Thankfully another salesman heard all the commotion and came to where we were and CONFIRMED my purchase of sale and said that he remembered me and that I had in fact paid for my car in cash in Full! Rich proceeded to shrugg his shoulders and reply with "SO!" I then contacted a mobile notary, she was on site within 15 minutes. Miraculously when she arrives Rich comes out of his office with paperwork with MY name on it, which was the document that I needed all along!!!!! He went ahead and filled it out she put her stamp on the paper and the matter was resolved in less than 2 minutes! I couldn't believe that i was treated that way.... I'm currently looking to buy another car and I would NEVER buy from them again and I wouldn't encourage anyone else to especially if you believe that ALL people should be treated fairly no matter the color of their skin!! read more

These guys are a bunch of con artists and will outright lie about the cars they are selling. A few years ago we bought a BMW X3 and told us that it was BMW certified and never been in an accident. Roll forward to today when we are going to sell the car and we find out that Car Fax shows it was in a previous accident and probably explains why the engine bolts sheared off and we had to pay $2500 in repairs. a complete waste of time. as we are in the season of sharing, I will share my experience with others in hopes they go into dealings with this business with better knowledge. I dealt with, or attempted to deal with Rich. My car was totaled and I needed a cheap temp car until my insurance proceeds came in. They had an Audi S4 convertible for sale for $5900. I believe it was listed as "as good as it gets". My story, I live 2.5 hrs one way, from Hayward now, for those who failed math, that is a 5 hour round trip. Because of this, i called Rich for a couple of reasons, to confirm the car was available and I quote, to ask, "is there anything not working on the car"? I was to see the car on Saturday 12/6. On Friday the 5th, Rich confirms the car is available and the car has no issues. So, I make the 5 hr round trip, I have funds, I even drag my dad into this, because I need to get the car from the dealer once I purchase it. Met Rich, he seemed like a nice guy, he had just put brand new tires on the car, however the cheapest, Chinese made ones which turned out to be noisy as heck. he allowed me to take the car out on a solo test drive, which I was going to use to also pick up my dad to take him back to the dealer, so after purchase, he could drive it back to his house. so, here is where the story gets bad. -I get to San Mateo to pick up my dad and decide to check the convertible roof. It gets stuck, won't open fully. -the AC blows warm. -the radio/NAV doesn't turn on so, when I asked Rich, "is there anything not working on the car?", I guess he misses the fact that on a Convertible, when people are in the market for one, that is pretty much at the top of the list of important features one would like to work. to add insult to injury, it gets worse. so, I am fairly competent with cars. I often work on my own cars, have basic knowledge on things. I ask Rich about the Top, his reply, "well, you can see from our ad photos, it worked. Well, yes, those photos which were taken over 3 weeks ago. then, he tells me, the Radio/Nav, its probably just a fuse. ask any person familiar with cars, if fuses just blow at random. Maybe they do, but more often then not, if they do, there is something a lot more serious than a spontaneous fuse failure. Then about the AC, again, he resorts to the lowest common denominator response--that it just needs some freon. ----again, basic car 101, adding freon is a band-aide, AC systems are sealed and shouldn't have freon leaked out unless, there is a leak somewhere in the system. ----------------------- OK, it gets worse, he is not willing to move on the price, stating, he would just rather wholesale the car. ---Yeah, we all know you will get more money at wholesale ,than retail-----sure buddy. We leave it at he would look into the roof issue ,and check the AC and Radio, but could make no promises on the radio and AC, just the roof. He said he would have his mechanic take a look Monday and call me. Fast forward to Monday, Tuesday, ......Weds ....no call. I call him on Thursday, and he claims the roof was fixed, a simple 5 min repair. I ask about the AC and Radio. He said he would call me once he got back to the dealership and let me know. Well, that was December 11th, and today is December the 27th. Haven't heard a word from him. The end result of his lack of follow-up worked out better for me. I ended up getting a car elsewhere and in retrospect, am better off. read more

He said if I put down a $500 deposit that he will hold it for me until the weekend so I did. The next day I get a call from the company saying that they sold the car! I'm so frustrated. The company purchases their vehicles at auctions and then sells it to the public. I purchased a used Nissan Leaf. The sales people were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the Nissan had an electric issue which they were aware of (it was purposefully disabled) but assured me it would go away by itself. Unfortunately it didn't and with no warranty there was an additional $800 cost to repair. I bought my 2003 G35 here. I have to say it was a great experience. When I first saw the place it looked like a warehouse and it was in an industrial part of town. I got a bit worried that this is going to be a shady place...boy was I wrong! The cars were all clean the showroom is clean and Rich, Mike, and Sean where very accomodating. They let my wife and I test drive the car by ourselves. This gave us time to really check out the vehicle and make a decision without any pressure to buy. After our test drive we pointed out a few small imperfections with the car. Rich was quick to reply yes we will fix all of that before you can take delivery of the vehicle. But before they can do any work on it I needed the car to pick up my in-laws from SF. So I had to return on another day to get all the work done. When I called Rich to drop off the car he asked if I had a way of getting back home, I said no and he was quick to offer me one. He didn't just offer me a ride home he actually let me borrow a car to use while I wait for my car. I've been waiting anxiously for my car to be ready that I have been calling Rich everyday to check. I think I'm starting to become a pest but Rich is still very pleasant, patient, and professional. These big bad dealerships should learn a thing or two from Stanford Car Co. Wow, my first yelp review. Stanford's first review. Glad to do it. First off the sales contact/manger had to leave before I could get there. So he called another sales person who had the day off. He left his family function just to show me the car i was lookin at. I wasnt planning on buying it! He sped in, and got in on time i only had to wait 10 minutes not bad at all. Bought an Audi A4 Quattro 2.0 turbo Lovely car, great find, great price. My Problem is with the service. The check engine light was on when I purchased the car. The owner said he would take care of it and do a full safety incpection. The engine light was for "small sensor error" and there was "no problem with the car" I took the car to Audi concord and they showed me the error code was for a turbo leak, ABS failure, and I have fractured bushings All together over 2 thousand dollars of repairs. Not to mention i had to wait a MONTH for a spare tire from Stanford. The owner hasn't replied to emails or phone calls regarding my situation.
