Living in Danville I was hoping one of the many rotating oil change/repair business on 3600 Tassajara would work out. When Troy expanded beyond the San Ramon Autotech and opened up this shop I was hopeful. When he kept Ryan as the shop manager I knew they would do well as Ryan was one of the bright lights in that location through all the ownership changes. I've had brakes, radiators, belts, repaired and each time was told exactly what was wrong and what needed to be repaired. More importantly, they told me what repairs were could wait. They respect the fact that I have a budget and have older cars that I don't want to dump money into unless I have to. Who else does that?! One time my daughter's car was making a squealing sound so we took it in to Autoech. Most places would do what I call "replacement diagnostics where they start replacing parts while charging you along the way until the sound stops. Autotech checked, test drove, and not being able to replicate the sound told us it was one of 3 things and if it happens again just to bring it back in. No charge?! Who else does that?! It's been 6 months and no problems. I am bringing 3 out of 4 of our cars here (one is under warranty so goes to the dealer), and with one close to 200K miles and the other nearing 300K am reluctant to spend extra money on them unless I have to. Autotech keeps them all running in top condition without any extra costs. An honest mechanic is a good thing to find. read more

This shop did work on my car and caused body damage. They admitted to the damage in the beginning and sent TriValley Dent to my house to repair the damaged door. The 'dent' specialist said he couldnt fix the issue and I needed to take it to a full body shop that performs major work. When I contacted AutoTech to make sure they were going to reimburse me for this repair they denied causing the damage and said the would not pay for any repairs! This shop is NOT to be trusted! They are liers and their workmenship is terrible! The original work was nothing more than reparing an electric window that wouldnt go up or down. It took them twice to service this issue and it still doesnt work right. In addition they caused body damage thats going to cost me over $1500! read more

I replaced the battery myself and after that i don't see the engine warning light anymore. I also got a obd 2 scanner from amazon and i don't see any error codes and i am driving for past 2 weeks Without any issue(no engine light and no error codes in obd). It is based on the error codes in obd scanner that you were saying that there are bigger problems. I googled and found that after battery replacement the uconnect should be either calibrated or let the car calibrate itself which will take 4-8 hours. You were not aware of this. Now that there is no error What about The broken panel and top view camera that stopped working because of your poor workmanship. read more

I brought my car in (without an appointment) due to a grinding metal sound that started while driving up the coast to Danville. They helped me out right away; test driving it, putting it up on the lift, removing the wheels and returning them. Somehow the sound stopped, without a clear cause. I had my car repaired by them at the beginning of February 2023. After receiving the car, I began to notice extraneous noises, which were not originally there before the repair. As a result, it turned out that not all clips on plastic protection were included in the kit, although initially they were. A true service leader! We got a flat last Saturday morning right before heading out for the long weekend. The closest option was autoTech. We drove by but the shop marked open only M-F. But Kacey, I believe is the owner or main tech opened up the garage door for us. Even when it was determined unfixable he changed the spare on for us and secure the broken on in the trunk. Although they couldn't get it completely closed, they got it Closed enough to be safe until I could get it into the Chevrolet dealership. They refused to let me pay for their service, and the two kind gentleman who helped me were Justin and CJ. I asked what other vehicle repairs they did, and when they shared that they do oil changes, tires, brakes, etc. I told them that I would be forever using them for those services. this was probably some of the best customer service I've ever had, and you'd be stupid not to use them if you live close. This is the first 5 star I've ever given out. There are lots of businesses that offer very good service, but this place earned 5 stars. I brought the car in for what I thought were engine mounts failing. I had taken the car over to a tire store and had the tires balanced ( life time free balancing) and rotated along with an alignment. Vibration could still be felt at freeway speeds, so might be the mounts. Vince and his guys discovered some loose bolts on the drive shaft (rear) and tightening those helped. Engine mounts and trans mount were ok. They then checked the rear tires and found one out .75 oz and the other side 1.75( inner / outer combined). You hear so many stories about places that "rip you off", that it's great finding an honest shop that does right by their customers. Thanks to Vince and the guys. THESE PEOPLE WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU BEWARE Went to this mechanic because both of my headlights went out and my check engine light was on. They were pretty quick to service my car. All in all it took them an afternoon. 400$ later both headlights were working and my check engine light was no longer on. I was pretty happy. 2 weeks later my head light stops working, my check engine light came back on, and my car started jerking while driving. I called them and the guy on the phone said it would be about an additional $200 to get my other head light working again plus I would have to pay about another $200 to get the jerking checked as well the check engine light. He gave me some BS excuse as to why it would be an additional fee. read more

Being new to the area and holding high standards it can be a challenge to find a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and affordable shop. Ryan provided great insight and recommendations about required repairs and ones that I can put off a little longer. They informed me what the prices would be for their work vs doing it myself. My recommendation is to make an appointment days in advance, and drop your vehicle off for an hour or two depending on the work. Car started overheating with the 90°+ weather today so I busted out the manual and headed straight over to get some coolant. Justin did a great job helping me to get the coolant put in as I was planning on doing it myself but would have probably ended up in the hospital after seeing how hot the radiator steam was when he unscrewed the cap...eeek! Leave it to the professionals. I am happy that they didn't gauge me on the price of try to tell me I had some ridiculous other issue like a blown head gasket (been there, done that and caught it early this time)...it only ended up being $5.43 so I am a happy camper.
