I've been taking my 2002 Audi TT to AutoWerke in Rockville since 2012 and could not be happier. I've continued to take my car to them for regular maintenance, repairs, and even some upgrades and have always been pleased with their professionalism and work. Prior to purchasing the TT in 2012 from a non-Audi dealer, I did a lot of research on what maintenance would be needed once I purchased the car. When I scheduled the first appointment, I explained that I'd just purchased the car and needed them to give it a thorough examination and let me know what work needed to be done. Sounds like a great opportunity to take the customer to the cleaners, right? When I got their report back that afternoon, their recommendations were spot on with my personal research. I knew then that I'd found a great and honest shop. Another great thing about AutoWerke is that they are willing to install customer supplied parts. A lot of shops won't do that. I've been going to see Dave and his staff at AutoWerke for about 13 years, first with an Audi, now with a BMW. I just kind of stumbled into him as I was calling around, seeking a second opinion on some work on the Audi not long after I got it, and I'm very glad I did. I feel like he's always been very fair with me, matching his parts and service recommendations to what I was hoping to achieve with the car. I've had a fair amount of work done there over the years, most of it remedial on the Audi and aggressive preventative maintenance on the BMW, and I've never been dissatisfied or unhappy. i have taken three audi a4's to dave at autoy and cannot praise the place enough. these are thoroughly honest car guys. for example, once had a dash monitor light that didn't go out. they replaced a part but the light still didn't go out. dave refunded the money (which i then returned to him a day later when the computer rebooted and the light went out). but he explained that he diagnoses and repairs "from the bottom up" while the dealer does from "the top down," that is it would have meant replacing the entire monitoring system. wes, who works on audis and andy who works on bmw's are extremely knowledgeable; wes has saved me lots of money with inside tips. to anyone who says he had a bad experience, i can only say it must be their fault. read more

Dave Toy has been taking care of our 2000 Audi A6 for a number of years. He and his mechanics are the reason our 14-year old car keeps running and looking like new. Most recently he oversaw the repair of an annoying and difficult to diagnose front-end noise. He and his mechanics persevered over several days to isolate and then fix the problem. Dave himself took the final test drive to make sure I would be satisfied with the repair. The car was washed and sparkling when I picked it up. You won't be disappointed with their work. I am new to the area and was referred to Autoy for repair of my volkswagen beetle. They specialize in bmw, audi and volkswagen models and it shows. I am soo happy with their business. They do good, fast and honest work. It was a good business, before the money made the man, and he had to close shop, hide his debts and move to the swamp of Florida where he and his dictator reside now. Good times with a lot of memories, too bad the one old mechanic works across the street now and tries to relive his glory days and always has a excuse, the match now works for you guesses it LOCAL BMW DEALERSHIP!
