I don't usually rate businesses on line but I had such a horrible day until I walked into Glendale AutoZone. The 2 employees on at the time Friday evening William and Adeil were so courteous and helpful. They helped me under the hood with re-filling fluids and made sure I was getting the correct products. They also helped me figure out how to get to the brake fluid cap which was hiding under some gasket. The store inside was very clean and well stocked. Anyway after getting horrible service at my regular oil change place I went to a big name brand with semi crap service but at least I got an oil change. read more

Mercedes is awesome! I went to another AutoZone the night before, and I was told my battery was bad. Fortunately, they don't change batteries at night, so I ended up going to an AutoZone close to work the next morning, prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks on a new battery. Mercedes checked the battery on my van and found it was due to a loose connection. Cost me six bucks for a small part, AND she asked if that was okay. Mercedes knows her stuff, AND she cares for her customers. She even told me that she always thinks about what she would want if she were in her customer's shoes. This AutoZone is so lucky to have her because I will be telling EVERYONE about THIS AutoZone. And now, if I need an auto part (like a new battery), I will be going to the AutoZone close to work instead of the one five minutes from home. You rock, Mercedes! Omg William is the best. I had to go to a few autozones to get help with my battery, either locations were short staff and couldn't do it or no one in the other stores could do it for whatever reason. I was so frustrated and was crying all day over this. I was confused and on a time crunch, and I was about to never ever go to any autozone ever again I promise, until I tried this one and met William. He is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, and he has really good people skills! As a woman im extremely intimidated even being in an autozone but he made me feel welcomed and didnt make me feel dumb or like a burden like the other locations did. I really appreciate his respectful demeanor and friendliness. He was able to explain to me what happened to my battery and help me with my issue. This is not even an autozone thats the closest to me but this interaction makes me want to support this location in particular for my car needs. After multiple bad experiences at other mechanics this week, I had the BEST experience at AutoZone. I needed a new car battery and had been told by a previous mechanic that it would cost $400. It was only around $200 at AutoZone and they installed it right then and there, no wait. As a woman, I have been treated so disrespectfully and condescendingly by other mechanics at other auto shops. I've had sexist comments made and inappropriate jokes. But at AutoZone, all the staff were super nice and friendly and treated me like a human being. The bar was very low but they well exceeded it. I wish I had gotten the name of the person who installed my battery - he has glasses and was working on Friday, August 16 around noon/1. Give him a raise or a promotion or something. Will definitely be back for new wipers or air filters. read more

AutoZone needs to investigate one of their managers at this location. very disappointing experience at this AutoZone location. One of the employees smelled strongly of marijuana and appeared to be under the influence while on the job. Not only was it unprofessional, but this is unacceptable behavior for someone representing a company, especially when customers are relying on staff for safe and accurate service. Management really needs to address this issue immediately. My friend also told me she was done dirty by this same manager who refunded a part that she wasn't returning and took away her warranty. She returned a small item, but was refunded a different part. He didn't give her all her money, only gave her the amount for the part she returned. This is a "manager" we are talking about. Great service. Want to give a special thank you to George. He was beyond knowledgeable and helpful. He quickly changed my Mazda's battery and expertly pointed out another issue in the car. Because of his heads up move, I was able to take my car back to the dealership and have a leak repaired that could've gone unnoticed and caused more issues down the line. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. They scam their customers and sell bad batteries. Every morning I jump start my car and when I get here they "test" my battery and say your battery is at 100%. I went to 5 different mechanics this month and they say my battery is bad but when I get here somehow my battery works perfectly. Manager's attitude was the worse. She was yelling at every costumer. And at the end she said "I don't wanna deal with anyone". Then why do you work there? Who gave you that position? Never going that location again. read more

Where do I start...I can not thank the crew at AutoZone in Glendale for helping me out. I went in yesterday because my check engine light came on. William scanned my car and printed out the results from the scan. It showed I had a misfire in cylinder 4. He suggested to replace the ignition coil and spark plug. So thankful for William who helped me the other day when I went in. The manager Angelica or Angie as she's called is very rude and not helpful at all. Her greeting to me was "what do you want" after she realized I was waiting for the store employee to finish his phone call with another customer. This store is very unreliable and if it wasn't for William, I would have left a 1 star review. William had great customer service skills, calmed me down once he realized I was fed up with the manager, and conducted a thorough testing of my car battery and other parts. I came to this location on Sunday march 2nd 2025 an hour before closing because my car wanted to turn off. I asked for a battery and alternator test. They showed me that my battery was dead and I needed to buy a new one without any money. I was worried I wasn't gonna make it home but the manager and her husband were helping me out along with another employee. My coolant hose wasnt on right, alternator belt was loose with a dead battery. Thank you to the kind people who got those things fixed, without them. I would've been stranded. Went in because the battery I got from them a month ago wasn't reliable. Had to wait a while for them to check it. Told me the battery was fine and they wouldn't replace it unless it was dead. Makes sense since I just got the battery but the manager, John, couldn't comprehend that the battery was faulty. Argued with me for like 10 minutes- telling me that he's the professional and I should educate myself. I felt SO belittled because he wouldn't stop interrupting me to be condescending. My battery was under warranty so I just wanted it to be replaced so I could get out of there but once my husband showed up, the manager made the exception. It's frustrating being talked down to as a woman. And I don't put up with incompetent men so I made sure I got what I needed. The MANAGER, was incredibly rude and spoke to me like I was stupid. There was another female employee there and she was very kind to me and everyone else. John, if you're so "professional," then why do you treat women with disrespect? JUAN is the best!!! I walked into the store to purchase a replacement headlight. I knew what part # I needed and he showed me all the options. I wasn't sure if I had an EX DX or LX so I gestured toward the car parked right outside. Juan said, "Let me take a look." I turned on the lights, so that he could verify what part I really needed before making a purchase. He saw which side was out and he asked me to pop the hood. He offered to replace the light... and I hadn't even paid for it yet. He said it wouldn't take long. Angie, the manager, greeted me as I entered the shop, and then showed me the battery options available for my car. Within a few minutes, Angie rang up the sale and had Juan, the technician, replace the battery. Completely incompetent manager at this location, refused to return a battery because of "loss and prevention" concerns when I had it for 4 days and it died 2x. His associate strategy it was in fine working order it just couldnt hold a charge and that a lot of people have been returning that model battery.
