So I needed a new battery for my car, I called got a quote from Jessica and came right over to get a new battery and for them to install it, since they do that. Patrick installed the battery, there is parts that tighten down the battery to which I noticed Patrick did not have it secure, I asked him, "is that on all the way because its loose?" He tugged it and said its not going anywhere....well yes its drizzling, sprinkling outside, but he did not efficiency screw in my battery and I had to take it somewhere else so they could properly secure the battery. It was just a matter of screwing it in correctly, but he did it half ass. I am disappointed because he should have just done it right the first time, I am sure the few drops of water that fell on his back from the roof dripping is already dry. My point is, if you are going to do something do it right the first time, and if the customer questions you, make sure its done correctly, makes me think twice before I would go there for windshield wipers now because of the half ass attitude and work that I recieved. I went to the Autozone on Mira Mesa to get replacement wiper blades. One was defective. I did not realize this until later that day. I was close to the Poway location. Kyle was so kind and helpful. Kyle came out to my car to see the defective blade and replaced the blade without any trouble. He even helped me put the new blade on my car. I really appreciated that he made this so hassle free. read more

I HATE THIS AUTOZONE. Every single time I come in here, I get screwed. They either give me a wrong part or give me something completely unnecessary. I'm serious; I have come here about four different times and every time I get boned. I am sure it's because I am a girl, I see them talk to men in the store differently than when they speak to me. The only reason for the two stars is due to their return policy. All the times I have gotten screwed, I come back to return the bs product and get my money back. Just popped in hoping to address my brake lights not working. At first my boyfriend and I thought it was a bad fuse but it turned out all three bulbs went bad at once! Steven was so helpful and even popped the new ones in for us. There was another woman in the store who was very helpful and nice but I did not catch her name. I've been to this location a handful of times. Employees here are idiots and make it seem like you're inconveniencing them when u ask for help. The only time i go here is when Wal-Mart doesn't have one of the fluids i need which is rare. If it's something specific I'll come here for that, but won't buy any parts. The quality of parts here are crap and don't last long. Not to mention super expensive. I can get better quality parts online on auto parts warehouse at wholesale pricing, better quality, remanufactured, or new with well known reputable brands. Not to mention autoparts warehouse has better warranties in addition to the better pricing and better quality parts. read more

This used to be my go to auto parts store in Poway but the last eight times I've been there to drop off oil they've been "full".... i've switched to O'Reilly's for all of my shopping needs but I happened to be at Petcoach today so figured give them one more shot and yet again they are "full"... so I went to O'Reillys and spent 200 bucks while they dumped my oil. read more

After the most recent rainstorm I realized my wiper blades were woefully in need of a change. I found the aisle where they all were and looked up the sizes for my respective cars. An employee promptly offered his assistance too. Prices were comparable to other places so I was happy to buy it there. The store itself is kinda cramped but it's not too big of a deal. read more

Customer service sucks, these guys know nothing about working on cars and are just plain rude. I was at the parts counter with an employee trying to find a part in the computer, the phone rings he says I gotta answer that real quick. I figure he will answer and put them on hold, instead he put me on hold starts looking in the computer for the person on the phone, I was pissed I picked up my parts and walked out the door. Common since says help the customer standing right in front of you that you were in the middle of helping, not the guy on the phone you idiot read more

So, I went in last Sunday afternoon to get my battery checked out. The man that helped me (I wish I remembered his name), he was extremely helpful. He went ahead and checked my battery for me, and then realized it was a bad battery. After going inside, he tried finding me the best possible deal for my 2005 Honda Civic. I ended up leaving with a brand new battery (same one as the manufacturer put in my car) which lasted about 8 years, by the way. Wasn't too painful, new battery, and terminal cleaner, about $130 out the door. And, the best part, he installed it for FREE. My car now runs better than ever! Thank you Autozone Poway!
