Now, I KNOW that is not what they do and they honestly shouldn't do it, but I ALSO know places like this have great employees who are willing to go above and beyond to help a customer, and they sometimes will do things like this. However, the day I arrived, no one was willing to do that. In fact, I asked first if we could test the battery to make sure that was the problem and they agreed. But they repeatedly couldn't get the testing equipment to function properly. It kept erroring out. One gal even said with my type of car you had to wait 10-15 mins and then try again. So we did that and it still wouldn't get a reading. Remarkably, the gal was more than willing to sell me a battery anyway, but would not install it. Sorry, but I'm not going to purchase something if I'm not even able to tell if that's what the actual problem is. Doesn't make much sense. Maybe it was an off day, but I'm more inclined to take my business elsewhere in the future.

Instead, I called AAA and AAA brought and replaced the battery for less. The AAA guy and two other customers said this Autozone were not ever helpful. From the second we arrived, Steven Trevino was an absolute lifesaver. He was honest, deeply sincere, and highly communicative. Unlike our previous experience where everything was just shady "word-of-mouth," Steven and his team actually took the time to fully inspect our car and wrote down *every single detail* perfectly. They completely exposed the fraudulent diagnosis we were given elsewhere. Steven's technicians proved our steering rack was perfectly fine and instead found the real culprits: separated lower control arm bushings and a steering angle sensor error. Steven handled everything professionally, getting those factory defects completely repaired under our warranty for $0.00! (The other dealership Valley Hi Nissan, Victorville, CA) had forced us to drive on a failing suspension, our front tires were completely ruined, but Steven got us sorted out with brand new tires and a precision alignment. I just picked up the car, and it drives as good as new. I would love to come here again. My husband and I bought a used car (2026 Grand Highlander) on Saturday, 9/12/26 from this dealership. The sales part of our day was probably one of the best I've had when purchasing a car. Our salesperson was Khamid and he was friendly and low-pressure. We took two different cars out for test drives and decided on the Highlander. Great car, BTW. The financing part was also relatively easy and low-key (we had our own financing in place so I was a little irritated that they still asked for our SSNs). We were offered the extra stuff, like warranties and GAP insurance. We declined, they came back with a lower number, we declined again and that was that. Overall I'd say we were there for about 3 hours. Impressive. The reason I'm giving three stars is the following: there were no plates on our car. Not metal plates or temporary plates. I didn't even think about it until we got home, thinking they might be under the advertisement they had under the license plate frames. Nope. I contacted our sales person to let him know of the issue and I assumed this would be a relatively easy thing to get taken care of. I drove to the dealership today, 9/14/26, when I hadn't hear back from anyone in the finance department after leaving a voicemail Sunday afternoon. I figured I'd go in, explain the situation, they'd give me the temporary plates and I'd be on my way home. I was seated in the reception area, I had a discussion with someone and they were going to go back to the finance department. They came back and said there wasn't anything they could do and they'd call the DMV tomorrow. In California, dealerships are not allowed to let a car leave their lot with no plates. They let me do it Saturday and then they were basically telling me to drive the car home again today with no plates. I was going to leave but I went back in and explained that they had to find the original plates or issue me temporary plates. After about 45 minutes one of the employees came up to me and asked what I was waiting on. He knew what I was waiting on because I heard him speaking with someone at the desk about my issue. I could tell he was hoping I'd just give in and leave. But I insisted on the plates. As he was walking away I said I could just return the car. Not sure if he heard me but I said it. Eventually my sales person showed up with temporary plates. He put them on my car and I left. Now I've never worked at a car dealership. I have no idea what goes into making sure a car that is sold has the proper plates. Or what the requirements are for issuing temporary plates. But when it's the law to have plates on the car, you send the customer on their way in a car with no plates and then that customer shows up to get the issue fixed, they should be doing everything they can to get the temporary plates issued in a timely manner. Not have your customer sit around for an hour and a half in an attempt to just wait them out and watch them leave. This would have definitely been a five star review if the issue had been treated as even remotely important to the representatives working there this afternoon.

When we objected to authorizing unnecessary credit checks, the salesperson told us to put dummy numbers like "all zeros or ones" in the Social Security field--a reckless suggestion for any formal legal portal. ​Once that fell through, management reneged on sending the purchase agreement altogether. The salesperson called to admit that the General Manager refused to execute the DocuSign because of upcoming holiday foot traffic. They stated they wanted the vehicle physically on the showroom floor for the weekend, even though we were ready to wire payment immediately. The salesperson admitted that cash buyers don't bring in the finance/lender kickbacks the desk prefers, telling us that if no one bought the vehicle over the weekend, they would call us back on Tuesday. ​Using an agreed-upon, ready buyer as an unpaid backup plan while hunting for higher-margin financing customers on the showroom floor is dishonest business. The point is hopefully i can spread the word so others don't have to deal with the same issues. Today, I timely arrived for my 9:30 AM service appointment and Vera Sanchez checked me in. Never introduced herself, I got her name from my receipt. According to my paperwork Jayden Yagin was my technician. I came in for a standard oil change and tire rotation, and multi point inspection. As my tire pressure was low, the tire pressure light was on. I pointed this out to Vera and she said they would check all of my tire pressure sensors. My requested service was completed and car ready so I got into the car and started the engine and the tire pressure light was still on. I drove off, then decided to return, got out of the car and asked the service folks about the light. They told me I had to drive the car a little ways and the light would go off. I did this- drove around for 15 minutes and turned the car on and off twice. Light still on. So I went back and spoke with Vera who was completely apathetic. She was looking for "Hector" the technician (paperwork says Jayden) but Hector was gone. Tamar, another technician, who had seen me return to the dealership twice already, jumped into action to assist. Within five minutes, Tamar was able to fix whatever needed to be fixed, should have been fixed originally. Thank you for wasting 20 minutes of my time, which is a common thread at this dealership "service" department. I will never buy another Subaru due to the complete lack of service and apathy all around.
