Half order happy hour Tuna nachos. Slider in back

Best happy hour around! Food is delicious - tuna nachos and sliders are highlights during happy hour. Drinks are always up to par and service is good. The rooftop is a great ambiance as well - I bring everyone here when they visit me

My friend brought me here Saturday night because from 9pm to close they have Happy Hour specials. Happy Hour specials on the weekend are unheard of. We sat at the rooftop bar. The bartender was nice. My friend ordered a glass of wine. We shared some appetizers (BBQ pork slider and shrimp & scallop egg roll). Each cost $7. The bread for the BBQ pork slider was burnt but it still tasted good. There was a live music. It was a cool spot.

We love Avenu and stop by every time we visit New Smyrna Beach. Yesterday we made happy hour, which is great with food and drink prices. We had a nice glass of wine along with Shrimp and Scallop egg rolls, the Kona seafood chowder and a bacon jam slider. Easy to see why that chowder has won awards. The service was excellent as always. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful... three floors of art, gorgeous details and comfortable seating. We prefer the rooftop bar but there's one downstairs as well. Thank you, Avenu, for another great visit!

After a morning at the beach, we came to Avanu for lunch and had a good experience. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with great air conditioning and a pretty rooftop. We were able to get seated immediately and service was good. To drink, I got the Purple linen. It was bad. It wasn't really purple and I couldn't taste any gin. It just tasted like sparkling cucumber lemon water. I replaced it with an Aperol spritz, which was very good. My mom got the frozen pina colada and the rope of pearls cocktail and loved them both. It seems the purple linen was a one off bad experience since everything else was tasty. I appreciated that they replaced the drink. For an appetizer, we got the duck fat fried French fries. They were very good and a great portion for sharing. They were hot, crisp, and had parm on top. For my entree, I got the fresh catch sandwich with blackened Mahi Mahi and curly fries. The fish was perfectly cooked and the lemon aioli it came with was absolutely delicious. The fries were nice and fresh too. My mom got 3 bao buns and loved them. The Asian slaw they came with was also very tasty. The portions were good for the price. Overall, we liked it here and will definitely come back.

One of the only places to get sushi in new Smyrna beach really great view strong drinks however the sushi, and poke nachos were seriously underwhelming, I have to rate it a one star because the sushi roll which was a spicy tuna was extremely disappointing in 3 ways #1 the tuna itself wasn't flavourful it was slightly sweet and the panko mix didn't help normally spiciness would be mixed into the tuna, #2 the sushi rice was too sweet and too wet not enough vinegar, #3 there was too much panko vs tuna. And no real spiciness. The poke nachos while a big portion wasn't executed right the wontons held about 95% of the total plate while the jalapeño and poke was last 5% the wasabi aioli didn't have a strong enough wasabi taste and the wontons didn't have enough of a crunch. I would suggest a smaller plate with a more even ratio and more spiciness Also oysters at 6$ a dozen great deal but still the oysters didn't look as fresh but at 6$ you're not expecting top notch so they get a pass on that. Service was good ambiance was great but the fundamentals are missing on the food.

Brunch was great! Drinks always on point. 3 levels of dining. Bottom 2 indoors. Shaded rooftop dining with full bar, tvs, fans... and saw a live rocket launch from nearby Cape Canaveral. Our server was great. Very helpful and attentive. Manager informed us of upcoming launch and where to look... and updated us again after the short delay. Always nice to have a bird's eye view of Flagler Ave as well. We love that place, indoors or out.

We sat upstairs on the rooftop which was beautiful. Had a large party of 14 people and our server did a great job keeping everyone's orders straight. We ordered a variety of food at our end of the table- the oyster sampler was fantastic. Our favorites were the street corn, the garlic butter/parm, and the Rockefeller. We also ordered edamame as an appetizer. Entrees: we ordered the short rib with Gouda risotto, the Thai chicken noodles, and the Bao combo. We all really enjoyed our entrees. The short rib with the risotto had amazing flavor but a little salty. It was a great night for our group of girls

If you're eating here at the weekend ask for Caen. While the rest of the service team are great, Caen is an exceptional sever. It was my first time eating at Avanu and I'm a fan. I stopped in for a quick bite on a busy Saturday and chose the indoor, and air conditioned, option downstairs. Food was great. The drinks list is compact and has something for everyone. The upstairs area overlooks Flagler Ave and in addition to being a big space has live music, and a great big bar. It was too warm for me on this visit but next time I'll look to sit up there.

Avanu is a cool spot! Love all the "events" they host to bring people in. Especially when there is a shuttle going off and trivia night. The food is good as well! Definitely will be back!

As a local we love this place. We especially come for Ash. We love it when she's working the bar. Ash also Waitresses some days but, if you want a specialty drink she's the one to go to she's truly becoming a mixologist. On to the restaurant. It's has a great atmosphere. We love coming during happy hour. Prices are some of the best. $1 oysters on weekdays and cold $4 beers We also love coming during the weekend for a "nice dinner". We usually get the fish special, but the steak fried rice is among one of the best Ive had out. I would definitely recommend coming here. Ask for ASH! If you come. She'll take care of you. Great view as a bonus.

Imagine this - we're laying on the beach and a plane flies by with an advertisement for Avanu. It's our girls day. We're feeling adventurous. So we go. And Avanu did not disappoint! Okay, here's the tea: 1. Atmosphere was GREAT. We sat upstairs and the views were beautiful and the breeze was relaxing. It started to get a little too chilly and started sprinkling. Before we could even mention it to staff, they started lowering the awning and we were comfortable again. That was so considerate, and I love how quick they responded. 2. Pricing was fair. We went during happy hour and all my friends got oysters but I'm not an oyster girl personally. Some enjoyed. Some thought they were rubbery. The happy hour deal is $1 regular oysters, $2 specialty oysters and $4 well drinks. 3. Drinks were hit or miss for our table. I got the carribbean tini and it tasted great, loved all the fruity flavors! 2 of my friends got the blackberry cocktail and said it was WAY too strong. My other 2 friends got the orange dreamsicle, but said there was no orange; and a coastal coconut and enjoyed it. 4. Time for the review of the actual food. Majority of the table got bao buns - the general consensus was that they loved the pork belly bao, and weren't crazy about the other flavors they ordered. My friend that got a salmon roll said the rice was mushy but the fish was great. I got the short rib and gouda risotto, and I OBVIOUSLY got the best dish at the table. Short rib was tender and asian flavors were GREAT. The Gouda risotto was different- in a good way. For my first time having risotto, I LOVED everything about this dish. Overall, my friends didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But I loved it and would recommend EVERYTHING I got (Trust me). Reminder: O got the short rib and a caribbean tini. Thank me later, guys.

We tried to sit on the roof top but it was raining at the tables were wet so we sat downstairs in the main dining room. The server was very nice and helpful. We got a couple cocktails and I got the bao buns. I would have preferred them steamed but they recommended them flash fried. A little different texture than what I like with my buns. The short rib bao was dry but the kahlua pork and chicken was great. Fun place to visit.

Came with my brother and his husband, this is a place they like to go and love the $1 oysters. They had $4 beers, wine and well drinks. We had fried calamari, roast pork nachos, shrimp, and nap buns. All was delicious. We were seated immediately and enjoyed our meal on the upper floor which is open to the outdoors with a bar in the center. Great place. Loved the pork belly bao buns the best!

The food is pretty solid and the rooftop bar is a cool spot. The handful and fat bitchy bartenders lower the experience.

The staff was very friendly and enjoyable and service was excellent during our visit. I was indecisive with what I wanted to order because I was starving and so many options sounded good. I ended up going with the artichoke omelet, and my husband got the western omelet with pepper jack cheese and jalapeños added. I opted for home fries and sourdough bread with mine. The omelets were amazing and filled thickly inside with all the toppings. Everything was very tasty and flavorful. The sourdough was fresh and very dense. I hadn't seen the specials until after I ordered and tried to switch my order, but it had been started already which was fine. It's one way only so turn in where you see the cars angled towards the side of the restaurant where the door is. It circles around the back to overflow parking where the exit is (that can look like an entrance). I suppose it could be, but I'd be careful pulling in that way. I wish we lived in the area to go back more and try other meals!

I didn't know a thing about the place. But I trusted the company I was with, and I'm so glad I did. Breakfast here is pure comfort food--the kind that reminds you of lazy mornings by the shore, shared laughs, and time spent with people you actually enjoy.
