What I disliked is substituting fresh grapefruit juice which I had from here before and loved to grape juice when I despise grape juice so this replacement did not work for me at all! Been wanting to try this place for a while and was finally in the area. I got the OG Wagyu shawarma half pita with fries. Portion-size it was loaded with beef and fixings that it was cute huge for a half sandwich! Great value for the money. The fries were great especially the beet ketchup! I love beet ketchup and it's so hard to find. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I wasn't in love with the seasoning on the Wagyu which had a distinct cumin taste that was a bit too strong for my liking. Came here for lunch with my mom and even though it was a 40 minute drive around playa vista it was worth it. Loved the Arayes. In fact I have been staring at their Arayes for years since this was just a pop up. Hummus was delicious as well. The wagyu shawarma was a very generous amount as well. I had some good shawarma but this is the best schwarma in LA hands down! They are located in a little strip mall area in studio city. I hope they open up one close to the long beach area soon. They showed me what was popular and i already knew what i wanted which is the wagyu shawarma sandwich with tahini sauce. The sauces were very good and tasty and man the shawarma (wagyu beef, tomato, onions, parsley and tahini and amba sauce) was fantastic. But the cashier also recommended the arayes which was just as good or you might like it better than the sandwich itself because they were that good! I heard the fries are good but didn't have room for that! They also have chicken shawarma and plates available. I also got the apple pear juice which was refreshing. A great overall meal! So so good! We got the 2 sandwich wagyu shawarma for $27 which comes with beef wagyu, lamb, tomato, onion, parsley, tahini and amba stuffed in a warm pita. It was so flavorful and all the sauces gave each bite a little kick. We also got the green hot sauce for $1 more, highly recommend. Beef tallow fries on the side were $5, also delicious. The beet ketchup was...beety. They have free water and coffee inside, the coffee is so good and sweet. The staff is super friendly too. Located in the plaza next to Kazu Nori so parking is busy. I came to Avicue on my last trip to LA for lunch, and I could not stop thinking about it as soon as I landed this time around. This is THE BEST shawarma sandwich you will ever have. The half pita is more than enough, SUPER filling, and for $15? Can't beat it. The table side sauces (Tahini and some tangy sauce I don't know the name of) are addicting. Arayes ($10)- ground wagyu beef, lamb, fried onion, parsley, and a side of tahini on a toasted half pita Torshi ($3)- pickled cauliflower The meat was flavorful and juicy but the amount was quite small. The size of this item is small in general, so if very hungry better off ordering the wagyu shawarma which is more filling. Avi Cue makes some of the best pitas you will ever eat in your life. I have followed them for a long time and have previously gone to their pop ups that they used to have across Los Angeles. I was really craving shawarma and randomly found this place--and honestly, it's been my go-to ever since. Every time I order, it's solid. The sandwiches are packed with a ton of meat (wagyu meat), and they always give you a bunch of sauces on the side without charging extra (which I appreciate). Heard a lot about this place, it's getting a lot of hype. My boyfriend and I decided to try it out. Context, he's Israeli and he and I both love Israeli food. We got the wagyu beef shawarma. 1 for $15, 2 for $27 so we opted for 2. They were ready shortly after. There are little trays on the counter that helpfully hold the shawarma in place. There are bottles of tahini and amba (a tangy mango sauce) in case you want to add extra. Overall, we thought they were good but nothing mindblowing. Glad we tried it but likely would go elsewhere when craving a shawarma in the future. We thought they were pretty pricey too since you just get half a pita with the sandwich. Wow!!! I cannot believe this Middle Eastern gem has found a place in Studio City. If you're looking for the best wagyu shawarma of your life, fully loaded into fresh pita with fresh onions, parsley, tomatoes, and other fix-ins, this is THE spot. They also have a fried cauliflower option if you do not want wagyu, but the menu is limited to these options as sandwiches, plates, or salads (so... is it really limited when you don't need much else?) The shawerma does not have much flavor. I had to add the parsley sauce to it so that i was able to enjoy it. There are much better shawermas out there for better prices. The wagyu beef is nice, but it does not transate to a better tasting shawerma. Fries are okay, not great. It does come with a very interesting and bright ketchup. I do think the quality of food is good here. But I most likely will not be returning mainly because other places have much better tasting shawerma for better prices. read more

Finally tried Avi Cue, it's a great spot to go to for Shawarma. Not just any Shawarma but Wagyu Shawarma. The sandwich are made with quality meat and fresh pita. Ask for the spicy green sauce it pairs perfectly with the sandwiches. I also tried the Arayes I recommend getting both your first time! I also loved their fries. You have to end with the Malabi it's delicious and the peaches are a great touch! The parking lot gets pretty crowded park on the street or across! read more

I was walking my dog in the neighborhood and saw this new restaurant. Decided to look it up and even though it is very new, Rick Lox highly recommends it. I'm so glad that I got to try it. Hours are 12-5pm or until they sell out. I went in before 12 and there was already a line. Once open, the line went by quickly and the service was fast. Ambience- It's a small space for casual dining. You can dine in or takeout. There's free coffee and sauce bottles of tahini, amba, and ketchup. Wagyu shawarma- the main thing on the menu and it was so worth it. The meat was soo tender and juicy even tho I got the more well done pieces by coming early. As the day goes on, the thinner the meat on spit gets, the farther away it is from the heat source. The pita was soft and I liked that it wasn't that thick. The tahini sauce and amba were a nice compliment to the meat. Amba is like a sour pickled mango sauce with cumin and other spices. Fries- I normally don't prefer thick cut fries but I love these. They were fried to perfection like Belgian fries because they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Plus the sea salt finish was a great touch. Arayes- Taste wise, it's similar to the shawarma but instead of shawarma meat, it's like a baked pita with ground beef inside. Juice- the juice that they offer is from an Israeli brand called spring. Loved this as well. I got the peach flavor and it literally tastes like eating a fresh peach. Very refreshing. Parking- can be challenging. There's limited spots in the plaza but there's metered parking across the street. Overall, highly recommend. Will def come back if in the area and hopefully the hours get better. read more

First started going here a year ago and was completely amazed by the food. One of my favorites. Would recommend everyone try this place. Recently went back when I noticed something felt different and I noticed they changed the menu from a "plate" to a single measly pita for $25 - it's a bit of a shame. Absolutely amazing food and coffee but disappointing for the change in menu. Feels a bit of a rip off knowing how much they used to give, but that's business. Food is great I love the flavor and hummus as well the only problem with the food is when the guy cut the meat off the rolling skewer he place it on a tray and then moving it to a container box then makes the pita sandwich ( or plate ready ) then adding the meat last ( meat is cold ) that losing big effect of flavor and serving level ...
