I've been hearing about Avi Cue for a while and was excited to finally try it but unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. You can tell they use high quality meat but it was a bit too salty for my taste. The OG wagyu shawarma pita also felt like it was missing something. The fries were solid though. Overall, it's worth trying once but for me it's not somewhere I'd go back to because a $25 pita is pretty steep, for it to not be exceptional. Restaurant was clean and the service was a bit slow but friendly.

If you live in the area or just visiting it's worth your time this is the best shawarma in the area !believe me I know. It's only 5 minutes from universal studios and it's worth the trip the chicken is really soft and juicy and I'm not even talking about the other goodies they have to offer..

Bring cash for the $4 valet; the parking lot is small and busy in the evenings. I was truly impressed while dining there tonight. It is a cozy spot, with just two tables and some barstools seating. The food was absolutely splendid: - Moroccan Cigars: 5/5 GET THESE! They were rich and savory, with a delightful blend of spices and a perfect crunch. - Arayes: 5/5 The ground wagyu was bursting wil flavor and still had great texture. The onions and cilantro softened how savory it was, and the toasted pita was the perfect vessel. - The OG Wagyu Beef Shawarma - Half: 4.5/5 They are generous with the meat, which has so much flavor. It was tender with the fat fully rendered. The pita bread was pillowy soft amd fresh, but still had structure to hold everything together. - Fried Cauliflower: 4/5 The spice blend fits the cauliflower profile and the texture was great. The staff was hustling, non-stop, but still took the time to engage when I was ordering, answering questions and providing suggestions. It made the overall meal better and was appreciated. The location was noticeably clean, from the table tops to the floors. It made it inviting when we walked in. It is a bit of a drive, but I will find a reason to return...soon.

Establishment is very clean, parking sucks, food smells great. The reason behind my 3 is because online items looked bigger online and it was a small portion for the price. Also the beef is a tad salted and didn't look as the advertisement. The fries are fresh and go very well with the beet sauce, the green hot sauce is better than the red, the curry sauce is something else, and I don't mean it in a good way. The price is too high for the taste. My food was ready at its pickup time so service is good.

Clean & bright with friendly service. The private Parking is small and can be a PITA. There is street parking. I recommend the OG Wagyu beef. The chicken paled in comparison. If you try both, I recommend having the chicken first.

Love this spot. I've been a fan since he was doing pop ups all over LA, way before the shop opened. I usually get the wagyu shawarma sandwich with fries, and sometimes I'll add the arayes too. The meat is perfectly seasoned and the pita is so fluffy. Honestly the best in LA. The staff is always super friendly, and there's ample seating inside. Parking in the lot is hit or miss, but you can usually find street parking. Cannot recommend this spot enough.

Just good. Portions are very small for how much you pay. Paid for a half pita and the loaded fries for two people but it barely filled us up. The service was quick and the beef was tender but it wasn't mind blowing. The inside is very fast food-style as it's mostly bar style seating. If you want to give it a try, go for it! But I would say it's more of a one and done.

Been wanting to try AviCue for sometime. Got the chance today. I ordered the Fried Cauliflower and a Chicken Shawarma plate. My wife ordered the OG Wagyu Beef Shawarma Pita. She also got a Fried Cauliflower. We shared a Malbi (Cream Custard) dessert. I have to say everything was very tasty. I think that next time I'll just get the Chicken Shwarma Pita, as the plate is essentially the same. Maybe a slightly larger portion of Shawarma. But with the plate you stuff your own pita. The dessert was the highlight. It was very good. All in all a good experience

We were in line for KazuNori next door but it was taking too long so we decided to check out Avi Cue instead. This is some fancy schmancy shawarma for sure! Wagyu shawarma! Now, I will admit, it is absolutely delicious. But is the Wagyu necessary? I don't believe it is.. Rating 5 stars because it is really delicious and unique but know that given that it's wagyu, it's also expensive.

Best tasting shawarma in LA hands down!
    Mike A.

Avi Cue deserves a shoutout for having the best beef shawarma in LA. The quality of the meat is by far the closest you'll find to authentic Israeli shawarma. A lot of people think shawarma comes from other Middle Eastern countries, but its roots are in the Holy Land. This one is made from Wagyu beef, and the spices taste just like back home. Only one critique: What happened to the fries? Why did you switch from thin cut to thick cut??? That's a big no no. Please go back to the thin-cut it went from a 10 to a 6. Bring it back to a 10, please...

They have Malabi, it was different the ln another one I've tried before. It was ok. The service was good and the place has other Mediterranean food.

This place specializes in shawarma and specifically their beef Shawarma that's Wagyu beef. It's located in a small strip mall in Studio City. They have a pretty streamlined menu and friendly service. At first glance, their prices look a little high, but you're getting high-quality meat or ingredients in general here. Also, you have to know that the servings are really generous. I went with half a pita of the OG Wagyu Beef Shawarma here and that was more than plenty. The beef was well seasoned and perfectly cooked on that spit and generously piled into the pita. The fries were perfectly cooked and crispy as well. They also offer two sauces to eat your pita with and both are very flavorful. I liked the orange one a little bit better cause I think they mix a little bit of fruit into it so it had a bit of a zest. I've had this place bookmarked for a while and heard so many good things about this place. A few friends and I had a birthday in the area earlier in the day so we made it a point to go here for dinner. So glad we did! A perfect choice for a wonderful bite, especially if there has been a little bit of day drinking involved. Definitely in my top options list when I'm in the area for sure.

I didn't love their chicken shawarma. The flavors didn't hit. But It seems their waygu shawarma is what you need to get here. Also, they need some pickled turnips and more sides to compliment the shawarma. I will say they serve a hearty portion of meat per order. The service was 10/10. They were so nice and accommodating.

Based on the food alone, we would recommend this place to anyone with a beating heart and more importantly, a mouth. This is quality food at a quality price. The atmosphere? Really great. I was excited to share the experience with my friends, as I recalled it being good when it first opened; so it was definitely repeatable. However this second trip was -- insulting. It looked like a place run by kids in their 20s, with no customer service experience, and unregulated emotions. So let's start with the main star-- the food! With a number of options, it was hard to narrow down what we wanted. But finally, we made our choices between the small plates, shareables, and mains. To our disappointment, they were out of the branzino- fine. We understand. We replanned what we wanted (you have to put your whole order in at one time). Then we decided to get a number of additional small plates-- and wanted wings. Guess what? Womp womp-- after our server informed us the Branzino was out, she moved on to attend other tables. During that time, they ran out of the wings. No problem! We decided to just get the chicken. The Blue Fin Carpaccio The Octopus The Grandmas Cigars The Crispy Tuna 2 orders of the Chicken Jidori 4 glasses of wine for the table This is everything we went with. The wine was excellent. The Blue Fin Carpaccio with Challah - Good, but the Challah was not grilled, instead burnt The Octopus - some of the best I've had, exceptional The Grandma Cigars- underwhelming The Crispy Tuna - salty & nothing outstanding The Chicken Jidori - very good Now here's the problem. When we asked the server to if we could get another challah, she was annoyed. She then brought out another piece, this time much smaller, less fluffy, and entirely dry, and said-- "it wasn't burnt, they grill it". Then I started to explain, well the last one, the taste was burnt and the edges-- but before I could finish, she said, "I'm gonna walk away now". To our shock, she left mid-sentence. This could've been a kitchen issue and not her issue-- but with the way she handled the service, it was absolutely insulting. I asked for the manager, who simply changed our server. Made no additional amends (but she did fix our wobbly table). There was no concession, or enjoy xyz on the house, or remorse. I suspect if she was a friend of the servers that was a host, and not the manager. As she didn't handle the situation like an established and competent manager. In the end, it may have been an off night for the kitchen and the staff-- perhaps the manager went to enjoy the World Cup watch parties and left the restaurant in hands that just couldn't match the demands of the evening. It was a Sunday night, and the vibe was on, with a filled restaurant. I enjoy the space, but I can't say I'd be delighted to experience what I had, not from a food or wine standpoint, but pure service. After $400- I expect better service. I get treated better at Sweetgreens, and that only costs me $25.

I was like YES! Went back to the bar, closed out and got taken to our table. Liza greeted us right away, she was very sweet and knew the menu very well. I ordered their prime filet and this was delicious. The steak was literally melting in my mouth. When I first saw the steak I thought it was small but it was more than enough. Everything, from the seasoning to the side sauce and toppings was exquisite!! My friend got their shrimp tacos and said it was ok. Nothing to be excited about. She wouldn't order them again. After dinner I decided to try their late bloomer. Put the order in and then a good 10 min went by and my drink never showed up. I normally don't bother the workers because there are so many reasons why a drink is taking awhile, but I asked someone if they could check on it. A couple minutes later a manager shows up with the drink and sincerely apologizes. I was totally fine with it but he was so sorry about the timing that he took it off our bill. That was so nice of him, especially because I wasn't expecting that. He was bald, wore glasses and was wearing a dark navy suit with jeans. All in all we had a wonderful time at casa Madera, from the elegance of the restaurant to the delicious food and wonderful service. We will be back!

Love this hole in the wall place! Seating inside is more like bar seating area but they sometimes…read morealso have outdoor seating depending on weather. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu as they grill everything as you order so it does take some time but their meat is always tender. Staff is also very friendly, I'm definitely a returning customer ever since I moved here in Hollywood area! Parking is a bit hard if you're not local here so that's the only downside but you can't blame them for that.

Hollywood Halal til 2am? I guess this is it…read more Prewarn:portion is small. It's like poor Asia where you get a big bowl of rice with your 2 meat slice vibe. Get their whole chicken early or mid day, while it's fresh. Get the beef filet, skip the kebab. They freshly grill the skewers, I got the lula kebab and it was flat in taste. For being pretty dry and not juicy at all, there were no grilled taste. It seems like it was overcooked on medium heat. No texture nor flavor. Hummus had more flavor tbh. The tabouleh was decent, but felt more like a typical tomato cucumber salad (unless they swapped it without telling me) The rice is pretty plain, a bit dry, a little flavor. The garlic sauce is more oil than garlic, you can see the oil leeching out instead of being smoothly emulsified. One kebab for $23? 4.7 stars? That's Hollywood I guess. Stick with Sincerely Syria or Brot across the street, or just get their wraps.
