I have been going to this location with my family for years- even when it was still 'Egg and I'. We ways have great service. Orlando always take great care of us, and the manager, Curtis, does great at keeping the restaurant organized. The food is always delicious. Going to Awake never disappoints!

The food is always amazing here and well priced. I always as for an extra side of their homemade hollandaise sauce, sausage gravy and the pork green chile sauce. I haven't had anything bad from this place yet and the mimosas are well priced

Was in the area and decided to try this place and it was fine, pretty average. We asked for no meat in the burrito and it was filled with potato, the side item was also potato so it just became too much. Overall it was fine but a lot of better options out there.

I love this place! I love the minimalist decor, makes the restaurant look sleek and cute. I always get the Kale Cooler as my drink, so refreshing and a great alternative to high sugar juices. This time I got the Mexican Omelette and added avocado, the absolute best. Extra sour cream please! I have to have the ranch potatoes every time. Sooooo good! Good service as well. It can get crowded and the wait could be longer on some days, depending on the time you go. Just know, if you have to wait, it will be worth it. @MissMo2323

Unfortunately, the first day of the year was off to a rough start. Although I was seated immediately, I waited and waited for someone to take my order. After about 10-15 minutes, when she saw no food or beverage on my table, the lead waitress asked if anyone came by. Soon after, someone finally took my order. The problem was that I was seated in the section directly behind the hostess/register. A partition behind me blocked the view from the other side. Unless someone already has a reason to walk by, that person would never know I had been seated at their table. Eventually my waiter did come to take my coffee order. As for my breakfast, I ordered the Awake omelette. The kitchen must not have been too busy because my order came pretty quickly. The omelette is ideal for mushroom-lovers. Because I failed to asked for it dry, the English muffin was soaked in butter. The coffee was okay. Because of the delay in getting it, I did not drink more than a cup. My waiter must have gotten gun-shy due to not checking if anyone sat his section. Throughout my breakfast, he checked on me very often.

I always enjoy my visits to Awake. Their service is fast and you don't have to wait a long time for your food. Their menu offers a little bit of everything in terms of breakfast and brunch items. I enjoy their sweet items including their French toast and waffles. For their sides, their potatoes are delicious!

M and I tried Awake for the first time this weekend and we had a great experience. Our server, Jasmine (sp?), was wonderful and she was very patient with me when I told her this was our first time. I usually choose a savory option at brunch (often veering into the lunch territory), but I was hoping for both salty and sweet, and the sweet combo works so nicely for that. I ended up going with the French Toast, ordering the two eggs over easy and the pork sausage. M ordered the Hiker's Benedict with the side of potatoes. The food came out pretty quickly, which I was grateful for. The French Toast was delightful, with a fluffy interior, and I really enjoyed the pork sausage. The eggs were exactly how I wanted, with the yolk still runny but all the whites set. I added some of the house-made hot sauce to my eggs and sausages and really liked it. M's benny was a hit as well. I tried a bite and was pleasantly surprised at how smoky the ham was. The bacon was good, although I was glad that I ordered the sausage for my dish (as much as I love bacon, I am a sucker for the breakfast sausage patties). The potatoes were probably my favorite. They didn't necessarily look that crispy but oh they were. And they were well seasoned--who wants bland potatoes? So with the delicious food and Jasmine's great service, we were happy and full and ready to go. When I got up to pay our check, I found out that another couple had paid for our food! I thought this was just something that happens in movies and on TV. The couple was already gone when I found out, so I didn't even get to thank them, but It was such a nice gesture and I can't wait to pay it forward one day. We'll be back to try some more items from the breakfast menu and also the lunch combo!

Great fast service for a busy Sunday morning! Never been here at awake we had a party of 3 waited barley 5mins to be seated. I ordered the French toast with side of fruit. Eggs over medium. The aci pomegranate was very tangy and eh over priced for the quality, but definitely a great breakfast place!

"Awake" - what a catchy name! It tells you right away what they serve. We came in a Saturday morning. There was no wait time at all. We were greeted and seated right away. We ordered a couple of breakfast items: Parisian benedicts and pancakes and eggs. It's called Parisian because it uses a croissant instead of an English muffin. The poached eggs on the Benedicts were nicely made. I particularly like the creamy mushrooms and Swiss cheese, and of course the smoky bacon. The croissant didn't disappoint. It was nice and buttery. The pancakes were whole-wheat pancake, not as eggy and chewy like regular pancakes. But you know you're getting something more wholesome and healthy. The house coffee was very smooth and well-balanced. They serve you a whole pot of coffee. We were not able to finish it all. So we asked for a to-go cup to enjoy it for the next couple of hours. We also got a kale juice, which was crisp and refreshing. We loved it! This is not a big place. But it seems like the wait staff seat people every other table. We felt quite comfortable sitting inside. If you want to have more distance, you can take one of the few tables right outside. You can also access the electronic menu via your cell phone. They have a full menu on breakfast and lunch items. I'm sure I'll come back to try something else.

The server was good and the food came out quickly, however the food was subpar. I had the Parisian eggs Benedict and it did not have much flavor, the oatmeal pancake was decent for a "healthy" pancake. The traditional pancakes were a little better. The best was the side of potatoes we had! The Tuscan scrambler was good for my sister in law! My brother got the Cambridge. It was ok but a little too much ham (same with the Tuscan scrambler). The French toast was decent, basic French toast! The coffee was not the best we have had but it was basic cafe coffee. There was no wait on a Saturday morning which was nice. The ambiance was a good little brunch place. Very cute, however they had "FailArmy biggest fails" playing on the tvs which was a little strange.

    One really cool guy...

The Russian/Thousand Island dressing is so good. (4 STARS for the appetizer only) Pasta the presentation was great. However, today someone in the kitchen was heavy handed on the seasoning and it was super salty. The taste was not good. Seeing that I have had it multiple times I won't criticize it as much and chalk it up as a one off. Drinks: The Frosé is so refreshing. It's a cold slushie perfect for a warm summer day. The sample flight is also cool and a great way to taste all the drinks. The presentation is cute and it's a fun experience. (5 STARS) Ambiance: It's a cozy and comfortable vibe. I will definitely be back as this is one of my favorites.

The food is consistently excellent. We went for dinner on a Saturday night (reservations are highly recommended). The wife had the chicken as a main entree. It was outstanding. The chicken was smoky, tender, and moist. It has a bevy of vegetables that are cooked perfectly. It comes with a side and she got the baked potato with everything. She loved everything about this entree. For me, it was an easy decision. I LOVE their wedge salad and started with that. The price has gone up a bit but it remains outstanding. For some reason, the waiter gave me a small but it was fine. The small in 2026 is $7.99 and the regular size is now $11.99. For my entree, I ordered from the appetizer menu and got the crab cake. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the crab cake. It has to be the best in Dallas. It is one half pound of pure crab meat, no filler. The price has gone up to $26.99 so it is not cheap, but it is outstanding quality. The cake was perfectly cooked and the crab was sweet. It comes with three dips but to me, I want to taste the crab so I did not use them. The kid had the old fashioned fries and devoured them. Our server, Mark, was attentive and efficient. Service was excellent as usual. Overall, this is one of the best restaurants in Dallas and IMO the best in the line of Kenny's restaurants. We started with drinks, which were really good, and I loved the cool, puffy bread they bring to the table! My husband and I ordered the crab cake and tenderloin appetizers. The crab cake was okay, but it wasn't super flavorful to me. The tenderloin appetizer, though, was AMAZING! We also had dessert, and between the bread, drinks, appetizers, and dessert, we were completely full and never even made it to an entrée. The servers and food…read moreare good, but we have had some recent issues as a result of the new general manager, who is very sloppy and unqualified at his job, which is why we left upset and took our business elsewhere the other day. We went in on a Sunday afternoon so it was not too busy at the time. My girlfriend and I like to be seated at a "low top" because she has back issues with climbing up into higher seating. We don't mind waiting for that as inside "low tops" are limited. The hostess was very nice, as they always are. She took us to the middle of the venue to seat us and then walked away while we were waiting on our server. I stood up to walk around the table so that I could sit next to her instead of across from her. She stood up to move over and pulled out the chair next to her so she could sit back down. At that moment the new general manager walked up, and without offering any explaination, took the chair out of my girlfriend's hand and said, "We need this table for another party." He walked away and left us standing there without offering us another solution, and apology or calling the hostess over to seat us elsewhere. We were left standing there dumbfounded and looking around unsure of what to do. We started walking back toward the front of the venue as we spotted another open "low top" near there. At that same time the female hostess saw what had happened to us, and she started to walk toward us. Meanwhile, another male server - acting as host - seated some people at the new table we were about to get to with the hostess. We got mad and said, "it feels like someone is playing a game on us!" The hostess apologized as she could see we were aggitated. It was not her fault, and we do not blame her. We blame the rudeness of the general manager. We left to go eat somewhere else. This is not the first incident with this general manager, though. A few days prior, we were eating in there and had a good vantage point of one of the side kitchen entries off to the left of the bar toward the ffront half of the venue. A bus boy sloshed water all over the floor while moving wet dishes in a container back into the kitchen. He didn't have a chance to clean it up because he was buy walking back and forth doing other things. No big deal. The general manager walks up and proceeds to yell at another female server about the water who had absolutely nothing to do with the spill After she walks away, he did not take any real care to clean the spot up himself. He comes back after a minute to clean it up but not with a mop or anything. He takes two towels off the bar and mushes it around on the floor with his foot. He , then, proceeds to kick the wet towels under the bar before walking away. Talk about a safety and hygene issue. This kind of left a bad taste in our mouth. He does not treat his venue or his staff very nicely. We wantedd to get up and tell the other female server that we were sorry for her. This venue would be great if they would fire this rude and sloppy general manager. It's a shame because this used to be one of our favorite venues to go to all the time. The experience is starting to feel cheapened and sullied now.

The inside was smaller than I anticipated but I really liked the aesthetic of the place. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by the very friendly host and taken to a nice booth seat. My server Joshua was also friendly and made quite a few recommendations on what to order; I decided on the deviled eggs to start and got the butcher burger for my entree. I can't believe I'd encounter the day I didn't like a deviled egg. I didn't care for these deviled eggs at all. Something about the seasoning in the eggs didn't work for me, I thought the egg white part was really thick and tough and the candied bacon on top didn't work for me as far as cohesive flavors. The burger though made up for it, the burger was very good. I could taste the quality of the meat and the toppings weren't carrying the burger, the meat was thoroughly seasoned throughout, I really enjoyed it. The fries were great as well, skinny, crisp and piping hot. I wasn't a fan of their ketchup, there was some flavor in it that I didn't appreciate. I got a pistachio tres leches to go and it was just ok. I love tres leches cake, so naturally, if it's on the menu, I'm ordering it and I could see this being a fan favorite but it was way too wet to me, like drenched to the point where the cake disintegrated in my mouth and I prefer a less saturated tres leches. Other than the burger, everything else was kinda mid. I do wish the menu had more options, and honestly, I don't see myself returning just for the burger.
