I've given this place THREE chances thinking 3rd time is a charm...NOT! Lets start with the service: It's just AWFUL. I'm sorry, I've worked in several restaurants and there is just no excuse for how horrible their service is. The first time I went there my husband took me because he had their wings before and he couldn't stop raving about how good they were. We go to try it out and they were extremely busy. I ordered a burger and when our food arrived they brought me something with BBQ sauce. After waiting 5 minutes to try and flag down the waitress she argued with me saying that's what I ordered. I was 8 months pregnant and my heartburn can't tolerate BBQ sauce, so no, I didn't order this. She finally takes it back and I can see her complaining about me to her manager. THIRTY minutes go by before my replacement burger is brought. That is just inexcusable. The next time we went, it was busy again. Got our table, ordered our food. We ordered an appetizer, my husband ordered wings as his meal and I ordered a burger. My burger came and the appetizer and my husbands wings did not. Waited a few minutes and nothing. Finally I flag a different server down and he brings us our appetizer. 5 min go by, my hubby still doesn't have wings. Our server proceeds to tell us that they are working on them....um...really?? We waited a total of 45min for his wings. In neither if these instances did they offer to do anything for us to make it better, even after we spoke to the manager both times. The 3rd time my husband said he would go pick it up this time and bring it home. We call and place our order and they tell us it will be ready in 20 minutes (yea right). My husband goes down there and he finally gets home. I ask what took so long and he said they completely forgot to make my sandwich. I check all the food and they messed up my sandwich so bad that I fed it to my dog. We ordered cheese balls and our marina sauce cup was filled only half way. We ordered 16 pieces of wings and zucchini sticks and were given one ranch filled halfway. Needless to say we will no longer be going here. such a shame because they do have good wings. read more

I've given AWSOM aka Alondra's multiple chances at all locations because I genuinely wanted to enjoy their food, but the inconsistency in quality has been a major disappointment. While the menu offers a great selection of wings and pizza, the execution varies drastically from visit to visit. The biggest issue is the lack of consistency in how the food is prepared. On one occasion, the wings were crispy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked, a really good size but on another, they were soggy, undercooked, small and lacked any real flavor. Sometimes the sauce is generously applied, while other times, the wings are barely coated. I even noticed a difference in portion sizes, sandwiches and burgers with different breads, sometimes a full order of wings looks substantial, and other times it seems like I'm getting half the amount for the same price. The pizza has the same problem. One visit, it's cooked just right with a crispy, golden crust and a good balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The next, it's either undercooked with a doughy texture or burnt and overly crispy. The cheese distribution is also inconsistent--sometimes there's a nice, even melt, and other times there are dry spots where the cheese is barely present. Beyond the food, the service is also unpredictable. I've had visits where the staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, but other times, the wait was excessive, and the staff seemed overwhelmed or uninterested. Orders have arrived incorrectly more than once, and the response to fixing mistakes has been inconsistent--sometimes handled quickly, other times with little urgency. Consistency is what keeps customers coming back, and unfortunately, AWSOM struggles in this area. When they get it right, the food is great, but the unpredictability makes it hard to justify repeat visits. The lack of ownership and management is completely unacceptable for the customers. Until they can provide a more reliable experience, I can't recommend this place as a go-to spot for wings and pizza. read more

Ok their food is decent depends on what you order. When it comes to the food, I would seriously grade each of their item separately. Some are tasty and others are just incompetent to even be called food... Let alone restaurant food. 3.5 for their Food - Dozen cheese balls 5stars(Yummy, cheesy ""HUGE""). Steak sandwich 3stars(Cheesy, filled with veggies, but only few piece of scrap steak). Hot wings 2stars(thumb up for bold flavor, thumb down down for no meat and all bones) 0 for their Service - 5 stars for this one super sweet girl who did a superb job serving us. However, minus 5 stars for the chef in the kitchen who drop one of our cheese ball into the trashcan and try to trick us by giving us "ONLY 11" cheese balls instead of 12. (Yes, we saw you and your Mexican brother giggle from our table. We might have chinky eyes but we can see just fine. We had A in calculus, you seriously think we can't count up to 12 like you?) And for that waiter who promised you will get the missing cheese ball for us and never did, shame on you! We might pretend to be nice about it, but dude we are AZN and we care for our food... 10 for their Price - Alondra Hot Wings you are very lucky because my AZNess in saving money saved your ass. I got a $25 certificate for $2dolla! You better thank God because my bill only turned out to be a little bit over $20bucks for 50piece of hot wings and a dozen cheese balls. Me and my gf had left over to feed us an entire second day. I seriously want to give you guys a 0 over all because of you guys messed with my Cheese ball! However, I have to be reasonable here for the Yelpers, and as much as I hate it but I have to say the price totally save the day! I was expecting a lot more from this place from the reviews of the Montebello location. Buttttt.. What I've tried: Cheese Balls Fried Tomato Hot Wings Lemon Pepper Wings Pizza Fried Twinkie a la mode Cheesecake Doughballs Strawberry Lemonade Strawberry SPRITE?? I've been here twice, and the first time, service was great. The second time, it was so-so. This shows just a bit of inconsistency. The food is pretty good, but not great. A good place to watch the Laker game and take your friends. Not reccomended for a first date, but a fun place to take a dude to. A little more in depth.. Cheese Balls - Were bitter both times I ordered them. Perhaps the garlic is being a tad overcooked? Nonetheless yummy. Fried Tomato - Was okay, I was expecting them to come out in round shapes, but they were shaped like fries, which was ok I guess. Hot Wings - Ordered them 'hot' and they were perfect. Nicely juicy and tender. Lemon Pepper Wings - Lacked butter. A bit on the dry side, a nice lemony tang though. Pizza - I've tried two different kinds, I don't remember what they were, but the pizza wasn't significantly good, but not bad. Fried Twinkie a la mode - Seriously, it made my first time experience with this thing sooo good. Cheesecake Doughballs - Not worth the extra $4 for the cheesecake. (It was $11.99? Had heard so many things about this place, decided to check it out for myself to see about finally finding a good place to eat wings here in Alhambra after moving from the East Coast where wings practically fall off trees right into your mouth. Yeah, didn't happen. I walked in and waited for literally FOREVER before just walking right back out. To be fair, they had every table full and people waiting in a booth near the door, which I'm guessing is their waiting booth for customers who want to get a table. But the way this place is designed and laid out, there's no way when a customer walks in that you can't see from literally every single area of the main dining room that somebody has arrived. And I counted at least five staff members looking at me and my family as we walked in and all five just turned away and kept doing what they were doing and never once bothered to come and even ask us what we wanted. So me and my family just left and of course, not a single person working there seemed to even take note of it or bother to follow us out the door and ask what we wanted. So disappointed. LOVE THIS PLACE. Came to eat here with a group of friends, total of 8 people. Was greeted instantly when we got inside, put our name on the list, and waited about 40 min, but it was definitely worth it. We started off the rat pack nachos and the cheese balls, which were good, definitely like the cheese balls better with ranch than marinara. We also ordered 100 wings, lemon pepper, lime chili, and on the servers recommendation, spicy honey bbq. The spicy honey bbq was definitely the best :), the wings were delicious, we also ordered pizza, which smelled really good, and tasted even better. We got the forgetaboutit and the don. Overall the food gets a 9/10, but the service we received was off the charts, our server definitely made our experience a lot of fun. Ritchy (I think was his name) ordered us a side of atomic sauce, and had us sign the waiver, and joked with us while we had our first taste. DO NOT order the atomic sauce, unless its for fun. It is waaaaay too spicy. He also periodically checked on us, and refilled our drinks without us even asking. Overall, I give alondra hot wings 5/5, the food was awesome, the service was amazing, would definitely reccommend someone to try this place, especially if you like sports because they have tv's all around the restaurant. read more

I will never forget. Lakers 87, Clippers 86. Came here to watch the game and sigh, as much as I love the Lakers... I felt bad for the Clippers =( they tried so hard.. Anyway! What was ordered from their menu, The Rockefeller burger, 16 hot wings (lemon pepper and cajun) and garlic fries. 1 blue moon and a glass of white wine. Blue moon always tastes refreshing. Well, you just can't go wrong with greasy food and beer! The waitress was awesome, she filled my glass of wine up to the rim like no other, it was almost difficult to be classy and sip the wine femininely. Everything was really good. The angus beef and bacon used in the burger was juicy and nicely flavored. The wings were good, I liked lemon pepper most! Garlic fries were so greasy, almost asking for death to the arteries but it was very delicious, nicely greased with a lot of garlic, salt and mmmm butter! Everything really hit the spot. I almost needed assistance during the walk to the car because I was pretty much over stuffed New Year resolution: only eat what my waist line permits :( read more

I wanna give this place 4 stars because I really love the food. They have some awesome wings and great pizza... but....the service is definitely not up to par with some other places that we frequent. I've worked customer service and restaurants, and I know that when it's busy, it's not usually the business' fault. Normally, they're doing the best that they can....and despite the wait, I always appreciate that. On that note....there's a definite disorganization to this place, that's very obvious. At least to someone who knows what it's like to work somewhere like that. Not everyone knows what they're doing, who they should be helping, and some of them are just completely unaware of how to work at restaurant efficiently AND friendly. so...I think the stressfulness of the environment kind of outweighs the yummy food. I think they just need to train the employees a little better, but other than that...Love the food. I mean...we keep going back....so it's not like it's deterred us from the place...so...I suppose that counts for something. read more
