    9.99 cheeseburger combo

Menu states the cheeseburger with fries is 9.99. I was charged 11.99. When I pointed out the difference the workers said that's not her problem and the owner doesn't care. That's just bad all the way around. Don't do that to customers. Let them know of price changes before ordering!! Take the time to change the prices so you don't lie to customers! And for the workers to say the owner knows and doesn't care. It's obvious it's been pointed out already. I understand the increases but at least don't steal from customers! And to top I off, they forgot to put the cheese on my burger!

I will be a forever fan of the Asada sandwich from this place. No matter the location it has been consistent every time. So, I don't know if you are a fan of Ay Papa Que Rico, but its been around for some time now. The interesting thing is this chain is growing and spreading like wildfire! In my local area I had access to three locations. Counting this one (newest location) I got 4 now. Not gonna lie, all locations in this area have some pretty bad parking or inconvenient direction to getting to the parking lot. For this visit I did order the Asada sandwich and it was great. The place is pretty tiny compared to the other locations in the East San Fernando Valley. I have to talk about the parking situation. It might be just me but entering the parking lot is a little inconvenient depending on the direction you are coming from. This location has a unique property line were it is on both Webb and Lankershim. Coming southbound on Webb does not allow you to reach the parking lot as there is an island, but southbound on Lankershim is safe. All other streets heading towards the crazy 5 way intersection and north onto Webb is safe. Thats all. Parking: small private lot VERDICT: Rinse and repeat

    Carne Asada not Ribeye

This place is a bust for me .... I've been to the one on Sunland with the older Tio that's always up front. I always had a pleasant experience so I was closer to this location today and decided to give it a try but keep in mind I wasn't sure if the were owned by the same person but upon looking the menu it was almost identical so I didn't hesitate. I order a Ribeye because the chicken comes quartered vs by piece and as I said I've ate at sunland and that was very tasty so I went with that and I must say I was given Carne Asada, it was not a ribeye or even close. I also got 2 empanadas 1 beef and 1 cheese and Jalapeño. It was super old and hard. The beef I took a bite and spit it out as for the Jalapeño Cheese it was absolutely uneatable . The cheese was brown on the inside and both were super oily. Also one of my salsa's had some type of hair in it. Lastly I ordered a Cubano which was decent and editable it just tasted more like a warmed up ham sandwich with Swiss which how can it be bad right ? It just wasn't a Cuban the bread was soft and not toasted so it didn't give what it was supposed to either way I suggest sticking with the Sunland Location and I will suggest that if they're owned by the same family or person that they get Tio over there and get this location right ! Service was ehhh I placed the order over the phone it was OK but it wasn't rude , when the order was picked up a few kinks were made but was resolved which is why I gave the 2 starts instead one souly due the who ever was working the register

We love this place. Great chicken, yucca, and asada sandwich. No alcohol but great service and the red and green sauces are perfect.

They have remodeled their seating area so more people can fit and dine in. I decided to get a breakfast plate since it was still morning. I went with their "huevos Rancheros" that is served with refired beans, cream, cheese and fried plantains. I asked for a side of bread which was nice and toasty upon arrival. The plate's presentation was simple yet served neatly. The only downside was their refried beans seemed to be on the watery side but still tasted good. For my drink, I went with a hot coffee. Refills are offered for people dining in. The times I have visited, the place has not disappointed.

This time, I ordered two pupusas and then their pastelitos. Pasteles de res. First things first- the restaurant is easy to find and parking isn't too bad! There are some spots in the back, but I've found street parking easily both times I've gone. Inside, the restaurant is decorated with all sorts of nods to El Salvador, including a super iconic soccer jersey and even some Salvi beers. The workers were all friendly and accommodating. The food is GREAT!! The pupusas are good. Cortido is awesome. I really liked the pasteles, even though I've only had handmade before, so I was skeptical, but they were so good, I devoured way more than I meant to!! I really did mean to have leftovers from my order, but I only have one remaining pastele- they come with three to an order. I will continue ordering from here and hopefully I'll have a chance to eat at the restaurant next time! So good!
