Best fried chicken near the Burbank area. The chicken is very well seasoned, has a delicious crunchy skin, but unlike a lot of other fried chicken places - it isn't greasy or soggy. I wish I could give this more Stars as I really love Pollo Campero chicken (fried and grilled) it has amazing flavor and the fried chicken is so crispy and seasoned perfectly. Their sides are really good well, I personally like the campero beans, campero rice and the coleslaw. You can get dinner rolls or tortilla's with your meals and they have a variety of Pepsi products as well as Horchata, Jamaica and Mango juices, this all sounds great and it is. One thing I would not recommend are the chicken nuggets, not because of the taste, they taste great, but they are very expensive for the little amount you get. They are so small and not worth the money spent on them. Pollo Campero is a bit pricey overall for fast food, but at least it tastes really good and overall portions are decent with the exception of the nuggets. They do have an app, which I recommend using, it will save you time as well as earn you free food and discounts, so always take advantage when you can. Inside is nice, clean, bright and they take care of the tables and make sure to clean them quickly when people leave, which is great. Now to the rest. The service here is lacking though behind the register. I ordered a big order in advance on the app as I knew it would take time. Said it would be ready at 12:05, which was 40 minutes from when I ordered and it was not ready until after 12:30. I understand things take time, but an hour plus, especially when many people were coming In and ordering big orders and getting them right away. Seems like our kept getting pushed back. I tried to ask a couple times if it was ready and they seemed bothered I was asking, disappointing as I was being very nice. Next they have hot Pollo Campero green sauce on every table inside when dining in, you can use as much as you want, no charge, pour out an entire bottle, whatever. But, when I asked for a small container so I could put some of the green hot sauce in while I was waiting, I was told "NO" they only sell the bottles and I could not have a small cup to put some into. That is ridiculous, I spent almost $150 on food for my family and friends and they would not give me a 2 ounce cup to put a little green sauce into. Someone should speak to them about customer service. Overall, food is amazing, you will have to put up with slow service and poor customer service to get to the good food. Sorry to say. Ordered online and picked it up - went with 8 pcs family meal. I got the mixed - fried/grilled with yuca fries, rice and Empanadas. I would recommend that you stick to the fried chicken rather then the grilled. We were not fan of the grilled, however the fried chicken was awesome. The meat was moist, seasoned well and the skin was still crispy. I would skip the rice, stick to yuca fries. I would also recommend empanadas, it's worth it!! read more

I have seen this place while shopping at Vallarta's Super Market a few times and decided to try it for lunch. After picking up some groceries, I came here to pick up food. One lady was ahead of me ordering - there was only one worker taking orders as it wasn't busy yet. I waited and placed my order for the 8 piece meal with grilled chicken. Got two sides - the rice and the beans, although the yucca fries and plantains were tempting. But had to get the core stuff first! It took maybe 6 minutes and I was out of there. The chicken was tasty - grilled and juicy. The rice had some veggies mixed in and was pretty flavorful. The beans were good as well. The only thing that was slightly disappointing were the tortillas which was good but kept falling apart. Overall I like this place, a little more authentic than El Pollo Loco. Sorry, I have no photo...the food was that good, I didn't think to take a photo until after I was done lol. This was my first time in the area. My main reason was to do laundry in the nearby Burbank laundry across the parking lot. I love Pollo Compero. I've only been to the one in Van Nuys. Service was great. They brought my food out to me within minutes. The chicken was friend and seasoned perfectly and the plantains were very tasty. The establishment was very clean. When doing laundry there again, this will definitely be my go to spot for lunch. read more

for as often as i come here, i don't have photos of the food because that's how quickly everything gets eaten. the first time i happened upon a pollo campero was in florida many years ago at downtown disney. since discovering one in burbank, its become a regular place to grab a meal & have enough for later in the day. i typically get the three piece meal, with sides of rice & beans, as well as the empanadas. everything is always cooked great & has such nice flavor. the campero sauce pairs well with everything & i love knowing any time i come here i will get a good meal. staff is friendly & welcoming whenever i arrive & food is made quickly! the restaurant itself is well-maintained & clean, & always comfortable. thank you as always pollo campero team! read more

The place is very clean and what impacted me the most was that they served us on real plates. They didn't put food in a plastic basket with a sheet of wax paper or in a cardboard box.I looked up the reviews of all the Pollo Campero restaurants in the area, and this one has the highest rating and honestly, I think it deserves a higher rating than what they show on yelp. I just walked out of here with the most horrible experience. For my drink they automatically gave me a large without informing me that they ran out of the other sizes. Then when I asked for containers for the sauce that's on their tables, they again charged me for extra sauce without informing me. So I brought it to their attention and the manager (this little Latina manager girl skinny with glasses who was a complete B-I-T-C-H l) was not only denying it, she was talking down to me and definitely not "customer-comes-first" mentality. She denied it all the way to the end saying that the cashier did inform me and I was saying "no, she didn't." And she just said "buh-buy" to shut me up. It was crazy. How people can just create darkness in the world just with their attitudes. She could have just done what managers do and been nice and apologized. Although our sides were just fine (fresh and succulent), the sandwiches were a huge disappointment. The meat was poorly overdone, making the meat appear petrified! There's crunchy chicken...and then there's "scorched-to-be-damned chicken!" Best Fried chicken hands down. Always get the dark meat it's the most juiciest and flavorful. Yucca fries with their dipping sauce & tortillas are better than the rolls in my opinion. I've actually never heard of this place until they had their promo meal for healthcare workers. We went to the Burbank location which was the closest to us. Upon entering they had social distancing tape which was a good sign they were CDC compliant. All you had to do was show your badge and you could pick from their meal combo. I don't usually eat meat but once in awhile I'll allow myself to eat fried chicken. I got the 3 piece fried chicken meal combo with corn salad, flavored rice, and biscuit. There wasn't a drink included but while waiting the sweet lady at the counter gave me a cup to fill up whatever drink I wanted. Let me tell you their chicken is crispy AND moist! I'm not bias because it's free but because it tastes so damn good! It was actually a perfectly fried chicken with no flour taste on the skin. Some people might find it salty but if you eat it with the rice it's perfection. A+ for a wonderfully fried chicken, service, and overall value. The portion was enough for two people tbh. So I was craving some food after working out at the Planet Fitness near and since I was new to the area around the gym, I took a walk around the plaza that it was nearby. I stumbled across this restaurant since the name reminded me of El Pollo Loco and my boyfriend said I should give it a try. I went inside and it gave off a different vibe from El Pollo Loco because of the music and the brightness of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly, especially the cashier who ended up serving me my food too. She was very patient with me when I was ordering since it was my first time there and she ended up giving me an extra side of beans since she accidentally gave me rice instead, which I totally didn't mind. I love me some extra food! The food was awesome and I enjoyed every single bite. All my food totaled less than $10, which included one leg, one thigh, two tortillas, one side order, and a drink. (Could've gotten a horchata for a dollar extra, but stuck with the fountain sodas) I think the only thing I was disappointed about was that the salsa that was labeled "Hot!" was not to me, but that's my opinion hehe One other staff membered got my dirty dishes from me and even got me a to go cup for my drink (I honestly think she just wanted me out of the restaurant since I was sitting there with my lonely drink on the phone, but I was actually writing this review lolz) Overall I enjoyed it and will be coming again if I have another craving after the gym! read more

Horrible experience with this location. The fried chicken was old and not even crispy. I also ordered the grilled chicken and it was hard, dry and cold. I can't believe they gave me old chicken. I paid nearly 60 dollars for old reheated food. The lady with short hair charged me for grilled chicken and then said they didn't have enough so I would have to wait 30 mins after I already paid. They proceeded to give me the old grilled chicken that has been reheated. I don't know what's wrong with this location, the service and food is awful. We got the wrong order and we called to get a refund and they refused. We live 30 minutes away and we got some and it was completely the wrong. We had to wait nearly an hour to get our food for it to be cold and incorrect. They were rude on the phone and said if we wanted a refund we had to drive back and return the food which is completely illegal i worked at a restaurant and once the food left you cannot take it back. Their fried chicken was so flavorful - definitely up there with KFC and Popeyes. I loved the flan so much and the fries too. Especially loved that each table had its own ketchup and hot sauce.
