Ohhhh yeahh.... This was an absolute treat. All-you-can-eat here is a good deal if you're serious... like me. The meat quality is great, especially for AYCE. There are a ton of great side dishes part of the AYCE menu, and I opted for the steamed egg and tofu stew-- so happy with my choices! All of the side dishes were great too, I loved the kimchi here, you can tell it actually fermented well by the punchy flavor. The service great, they bring out the food quick, which is exactly what you want for a timed AYCE deal. Definitely expect to leave smelling very strongly of smoke, but also very, very full. Lots of parking, and there was 0 wait on a Saturday night! Definitely worth it if you're in the area and craving KBBQ (especially if you're tired from a day at Universal... that's what we did and it was SO good).

One of my favorite kbbq spots in the valley. Staff were nice and attentive and kept checking on us. I really enjoyed their brisket here, the pepper beef, spicy tofu soup, japchae, and their ban chans- potato salad, and the spinach. I love that their meat is quality and it's affordable as well. Such a casual vibe with great staff. Everything was so good. One thing only - the grill that we had kept turning off everytime we do a grill change and we felt bad asking the staff everytime to turn the fire back on again again. Otherwise yummy yummy food.

Ayce gogi has to has the best quality meat I've had at any kbbq place. They're all so flavorful and don't have that heavy meat taste that all other place have. You actually see the chunks of meat or chicken and not just a bunch of fats and oils marinated. Service is normally good but I like to sit in the front because I find that they tend to check in on your less often when you're in the back of the restaurant. Super cool place that keeps you or the kids busy while waiting with their pinball machines. All meats are great but my favorites are the spicy chicken, spicy bulgogi, black pepper beef. Make sure to always get extra pickled jalapeños in the brisket sauce, Bombay! Sides are all great but no matter how full I am, I will always get the kimchi soup and ask them to add ramen. FIREEEEEEE

Many have shared AYCE Gogi with me, and I was very disappointed on my visit. Parking was fairly easy in this big parking lot, and queueing up on the waitlist was pretty straightforward. At the time, they had some rewards going on, but I preferred to be unsubscribed. My friend and I were sat within 30 minutes, and we enjoyed much of the meats here. Service was pretty slow; if you want to order, you'll really need to reach out to a staff member, jumping around and all. The one thing that stood out to me other than eating here was my consistent comments on smells, and not in a good way. For starters, ventilation here is very poor. On top of that, I'm not sure what it was at the time of visit, but there was a strong scent of paint or chemicals which made the entire dining experience unbearable. I still got my money's worth the best that I could, but the moment I got home, I immediately got sick for a week, and it was not from eating too much. Something about that chemical smell... I'm not sure what it is, but I can't put my finger on it. (And I wouldn't want to, either... I'm sick of / from it.)

If you are looking for a good AYCE kbbq in the Valley (and not having to drive to LA for it), this is the place to go. Their staff is friendly, welcoming and super helpful. The place is pretty clean and organized. Love the dividers to give each table some "privacy." Lastly, food is good. Meat is decent and the variety of banchan is amazing and tasty. Their sauce is perfect too. I recommend this place!

This place is mid at best! Our grill kept burning all our food! I understand we're in charge of cooking our own food but it would burn so quick... They had to change the grill at least 5 times in less than 40 mins we were here. And they even turned it down. One side was cold and the other side charred everything to a crisp. I also had one of their soups and it was super salty. I will say my friend really enjoyed the chicken fried rice and I like the shrimp shumai. Also, it is definitely not worth the price!! Very little options. You have to pay for each premium item and no free dessert like I'm used to in places in vegas

After visiting my brother at the cemetery for his 5 years death anniversary, we all decided to have lunch together. The wait was about 30 mins on a Sunday afternoon around 12pm for a party for 15. Juan the host was amazing. He was very attentive, kind and great at multitasking. Our server was amazing too. I just can't remember his name though. He was very attentive, quick on his feet, had good memory and polite. My annoying nephew wasn't hungry until we were all about to leave. We all thought we were done until my nephew ordered 2 beef belly, pork belly, steam egg, rice and etc. The waiter bought it out with a smile on his face. He didn't even judge him. (Eventhough I was lol). The only down side was that they didn't have the cilantro, onion tomatoes salsa. I usually order 3 along with my meats. Love the yogurt ice cream that we had to get 2 to-go. Thanks for the great customer service today. We had a blast. We will definitely be back soon.

Cook your own The place was pretty busy even late on Sunday. The staff was friendly enough and use team work to serve. We had to flag people down for refills or more food sometimes. It's a busy place . Our party of seven ordered lots of spicy bulgogi, pepper steak , calamari and chicken . The meets and marinades were good. They added an 18% charge on top which was a surprise.

Staff was very helpful and was able to get us everything we wanted. Made it super easy! Food was delicious and we were able to eat a lot of everything lol definitely will be back

I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for years & it's definitely my go to Korean spot. The sides are SO good! It's easy to get carried away in sides lol Usually get the brisket, bulgogi, pork belly, peppered steak & it never misses. We always ask for onions & jalapeños + salt & pepper which makes the food have so much more flavor! The bacon fried rice is too tier. Service is typically good but can be hard to grab attention of our server when it's busy. It's a nice spot with pin ball machines in the waiting area & in a back room. I believe they even hold tournaments sometimes. Definitely worth the try!

The service here is ok. The food here is ok. The inside is ok. Everything is ok, but if you want better, try their newer location in west hills.

Formal Complaint Regarding Unequal Treatment at AYCE Gogi - Van Nuys To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the treatment my family and I received during our visit to AYCE Gogi in Van Nuys on July 21, 2026, at approximately 7:49 p.m. Our receipt number is 1207734. We visited your restaurant to celebrate a birthday. During our meal, I asked an employee named Amanda, in Spanish, if the staff could sing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday guest in our party. She told me that your restaurant does not do birthday songs. Although I was disappointed, I accepted her answer without any argument. However, after we had finished our meal, paid our bill, and were preparing to leave, I witnessed your staff enthusiastically singing "Happy Birthday" to another table. This directly contradicted what I had been told just moments earlier. Feeling confused and unfairly treated, I requested to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, instead of taking my concern seriously, the manager initially laughed while I explained why I felt uncomfortable. It was only after I mentioned that I am also a general manager and understand how customer complaints should be handled that his attitude changed. Even then, he failed to provide a clear explanation or offer a sincere apology. I understand that there may be policies that customers are unaware of. However, if birthday celebrations are allowed for some guests, they should either be available to all guests or the policy should be explained honestly and applied consistently. As a customer, this experience left me feeling that I was treated differently after speaking Spanish. Whether or not that was the intention, the inconsistent treatment and the manager's handling of my complaint made me feel unwelcome and disrespected. I respectfully request that this incident be investigated, that your staff receive additional training on consistent customer service and handling guest complaints, and that I receive a written response regarding the outcome of your investigation. I hope your company takes this matter seriously, as no customer should leave a celebration feeling embarrassed or treated differently.

I had the most amazing first impression of Korean barbecue here at AYCE gogi!!! Yes, it was my very first time having kbbq this past week! It was perfect for a girl like me who was just craving all types of meat. My absolute favorite was the garlic steak!!! If you're a garlic lover you'll looove this! And if you don't really fw garlic, you'd hate this! The gyozas were sooo good and so was their chicken fried rice!!! I recommend heavily. And for it being 30 $ per person, we definitely got our moneys worth! SO MUCH MEAT ps. The complementary froyo at the end of your meal is genius, perfect touch. OH- and they have pinball machines!!!!!! (More in the room in the back, 50¢ per play)

AYCE Gogi - VAN NUYS Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - AYCE Gogi - VAN NUYS

How much is lunch? How about dinner?

Both are great, lunch is about $10 cheaper than dinner. As it's all you can eat, it's a set price, lunch is around $30-35 dinner is more like $45-50

Can we go just for the pinball machines or do we have to eat?

Hello, yes!!! There is a bar in the back with multiple pin ball machines!!!!

Do they have cucumber banchan and pickled radish paper?

I don't think they do. Shut you can always check the menu on their page

    Does AYCE Gogi do Reservations?

They only accept walk-ins, no reservations

Did they remove the feature to place yourself on the list to be seated thru yelp? I can't find it.

Yes we did, it was very problematic for us and we had to remove.

Can't get anyone to answer the phone, are there different hours surrounding Thanksgiving ? The hours on Yelp says they close at 10, trying to make sure an 8:30 seating is ok.

Sorry, we are closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Happy Holidays

    Do they have pickled radishes?

    No they don't

Do they take cash payment, or is it cash only place?

They take cash, debit, credit and Apple Pay.

    Do you take Apple Pay?

    Yes

How bad are the wait times usually on Sundays for dinner?

    1hr

    How to make a Reservation?

It is a first come first serve. They don't take reservations.

    Open labor day 2022?

    Yes we are! Regular hours

Is their phone number working? I try calling them but get a message that their mailbox is full and can't receive a message.

They're just busy and sadly, you'll have to keep trying. I was able to get through after a few attempts. You will have to understand that they are a very busy establishment and they also have hood systems installed at each table, as well as music,…

Do they still have outdoor dining?

    No more outdoor dining.

    Is vaccine card still required?

    Not required

What's the biggest party you can take?

From my own experience, I went with a group of 8 and we had to sit at two tables. There is one long table in the middle where they can put/remove partitions to accommodate larger parties, but I wouldn't come here for a large party.

Hello. We call here all the time and the line seems to be disconnected?

    We are closed Christmas Day.

Do you need to show proof of vaccination to enter/dine?

Yes they are asking, but not always!

Do they play any sports here?

Yes, they have multiple T.V's playing different games.

Can I buy the raw meat and cook from home?

Unfortunately we do not offer that at this time.

Reheated the side of ribs, greens and Mac and it's a bit better than the pulled pork, but this definitely isn't a bbq spot I'd advise anyone to go to nor would I dare try without bbq sauce and a lot of it. We placed a large pickup order for our Fourth of July gathering, and unfortunately, the quality just wasn't there this time. The ribs and brisket were both very dry and overcooked, which was especially disappointing since those are usually our favorites. We also requested au jus with our order, but it wasn't included. I understand it was an incredibly busy holiday, and I know the staff was probably doing their best to keep up with the volume. Still, when you're spending a good amount of money on barbecue for a big party, you expect the food to be cooked well and the order to be complete. This time, it just wasn't worth the price. The one bright spot was the sides. They're always delicious, fresh, and consistent, and they didn't disappoint this time either. I'm hoping this was just an off day because we've had good experiences here in the past. We'd definitely like to see the quality return to what we know they're capable of.

With that being said I think the service for what is worth wasn't too bad. This place is nice and decorated and very quiet other than the radio playing in the back ground for the cooks. There are a few tables inside that can seat about maybe 10-12 max and they do have a drink fridge for you to choose what drinks to get. The person helping me out was very quiet didn't ask me if it was my first time or anything like that maybe just the hello and such but he was polite but just not welcoming I suppose. Since it was my first time I didn't know what to get and I think it's my fault for sure for not asking more and engaging on what I should get because I only asked like one question about the Tri tip plate and stuff but I ended up getting that and I will say it's quite a bit of food but at the same time it can get pricey I paid about & $29 for the plate with tip ended up being $34 in total. It's about what you would expect from a barbecue place. So with the plate or any plate as show on the menu, you do get a small side of fries, a piece of corn bread and a small side. The small sides are about $2.99 for and as shown in my picture they are that small like a tiny ramekin like double or triple the size of what you get from a sample from Costco. So the fries are fries nothing special about them but they were fried well and it had a nice crisp outside when you bite into it and the inside was cooked right. The corn bread was spectacular in my opinion! It was moist and flavorful with every bite! I used it to dip into my Tri tip plate because of the sauce and it was great! The Mac and cheese I will say was ok. Barely any flavor and it honestly reminded me of getting Mac and cheese from the grocery store hot deli like Ralph's and Vons because the consistency and texture of it really felt like it was made the same way and flavor wise as well because there as no flavor now with that being said I will say maybe my tastebuds were already saturated and nuked by the sauce from the Tri tip (which I'll get to a moment) and I couldn't appreciate the Mac and cheese as well or tell if it was salted or peppered or something. But to me it was pretty bland Mac and cheese like I wouldn't pay for it as my side. Now I will say that's the only side I got I didn't buy the others which I regret because maybe those sides were the ones you should be eating like the baked beans or collard greens which is the more essential sides of any barbecue eatery. So definitely the Mac and cheese was a miss for me and next time I'll get the other sides instead. Now the main course which is the Tri tip. I loved the Tri tip it was nice and tender and you get about 10 ounces and in the photo I have it's a lot! But I will say this, there are people who love wet barbecue and dry barbecue I'm a person who loves the dry barbecue as in only into dry rub and stuff I dont mind saucy meat but an over abundance of sauce just ruins it for me and this was the case for my Tri tip. In my photo you can definitely see that it is heavily drenched in their barbecue sauce which by the way is very flavorful no doubt about it! But it was so sweet and so saucy also it wasnt spicy as I had the option to choose from regular or spicy but there was no indication of spiciness at all. Like maybe I'm just used to spicy food but whatever is meant to make that spicy didn't really shine out and that was a big disappointment. I'm not really into sweet foods which most barbecue sauces are sweet or very vinegary based. This is very sweet and very acidic like my mouth was nuked. But the Tri tip itself was amazing! But my plate had too much sauce and it was too sweet and vinegary like I could swim in the sauce is how saucy it was. No matter how I felt about my saucy Tri tips that's how you're supposed to eat it as is because that's how they made it and it would be a disservice to do so differently. With that being said over all the food was great except for the bland Mac and cheese and heavily sweetened barbecue sauce all over my Tri tip other than that it was great.. Again if you're not into eating super saucy barbecue or you're a dry rub type of barbecue eater like me then I would warn you again that it gets saucy here hahaha at least for my plate. I'm still gonna come back because I'd like to try their other stuff and also it's a local business and helping support them and any other local business is great! So for me it's 4 stars out of 5! Thank you again! :)

We hired them for our engagement party of 65 people and added the vegetables to Menu 2. It was awesome to see how they set up early and spent time making sure the food was perfect. Each guest RAVED about the food and went back for multiple rounds. There was something for everyone.Pricing was absolutely fair and couldn't have gotten a better caterer for our event and we are sad that it is over. Thank you to Marcelo and Gabriel for everything!

Having Martin and his team cooking on-site was a key part of our vision, so much so that we specifically searched across Los Angeles and surrounding areas to find a venue that could accommodate their setup requirements, including the 7-hour preparation time and outdoor space they needed. Leading up to the event, MFA was great, they were responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. Unfortunately, our experience on the wedding day was very different. We later learned that Martin had threatened to leave midway through cooking, which was extremely concerning. Additionally, both our venue staff and other catering staff mentioned that MFA was difficult to work with that day. While the food itself was excellent, the service fell short of what was promised. Our contract included two courses: First course: ribs, sausage, chicken, empanadas, and salads Second course: tri-tip/steak The second course was never properly served to our guests. When guests returned for the steak, they were told service was over and staff had already begun cleaning up. Some guests even tried requesting steak during the first course and were denied. To our knowledge, only maybe one or two guests were able to receive steak after insisting. We had also rented chafing dishes so that leftover food could be made available later in the evening. However, only chicken and salads were placed out, no beef. We didn't realize the extent of this issue until the day after the wedding. When we went to retrieve leftovers, we found multiple full trays of food, including large portions of uncut steak and ribs. There was clearly more than enough food to serve all guests the second course, yet it was never distributed. Many guests later told us the food was amazing--some of the best wedding food they've had--but also shared disappointment that they never received the advertised beef course. This was especially frustrating since our menu cards specifically instructed guests to "save room" for it. After the event, we learned that Martin had a planned medical procedure the following day. While we understand personal circumstances arise, it felt like the service was cut short so the team could leave early. This resulted in an estimated $2,000 worth of food going to waste, food that could have been served, offered to guests to take home, or at minimum communicated to us. Overall, while the food quality was outstanding, the execution and service on the day of the event were deeply disappointing and did not meet expectations for a wedding of this scale (160 guests).
