Who would've thought that an ayce KBBQ in van nuys would top Ktown's Very impressed with AYCE Gogi. Meat quality stays consistent throughout. In Ktown they serve opening and closure type of meat. Closure being the worst quality. My favorite at Gogi are Spicy Pork, Basil Chicken, Brisket, Garlic Beef. You also get a variety of side dishes such as steam egg, Bibimbop, fried rice..etc etc. So it's well worth the price. Another plus is no long lines here. This place has changed A LOT. This used to be owned and operated by a mom and pops. It was good then and it's even better now. They definitely made changes with the interior. Me and my boyfriend were visiting from Vegas this weekend. We really wanted kbbq and found that this place was really close and lots of great reviews. The process of getting put on a waitlist was pretty easy you can check in through yelp. I wish that Vegas had this option sometimes your waiting for an hour with nowhere to sit. This place had plenty of seats and it also gives you an eta to head to the restaurant if you check in at home. We waited in the waiting room and it was kinda hot so we ended up waiting in the car with the a.c. Once we were called we got sat down quickly. We ordered and the food got to our table pretty quickly. Although we weren't to fond of our server for the reason that she didn't check up on us everyone else passing by made sure to check up on us and put our orders in. The food was great and the sauces offered went well with everything. Our favorite thing that we ordered was the shrimp fried rice and the bulgogi meat. The only thing that we did not like about this place was we felt that the restaurant was not ventilated enough and it was very hot. We ate our food pretty fast just to get out of the heat and smoke of all the food. If you could fix this our experience would be a 5/5 and we would most definitely come back. read more

Ayce Gogi has to be one of the best KBBQ places I've been to. I've been all over The Valley and this has honestly been one of the better places. Their cuts of meat are good. The selection is good. I also like that their dinner price includes a plethora of appetizers. Decent beer selection. Only issue is that their ventilation isn't always good. You leave smelling like BBQ when you leave any KBBQ place, but it can get a little smokey here sometimes. read more

I have been to a lot of Korean BBQ restaurants in Koreatown both AYCE and a la cart. Never would I have thought that the valley would have one of my favorites. The side options are AMAZING and you get frozen yogurt at the end! It's a must try. Definitely the best service of any AYCE I have ever been to. This is definitely a more modern take on kbbq. They had many banchan that were not korean, like tomato and onion with cilantro. The meats were pretty good we got the lemon chicken and brisket. The brisket comes with a lot of meat, which is a great value for the ayce menu. The first order we got was very good, second time it was very fatty and we couldn't eat a lot of it. Lemon chicken was just ok, I wouldn't order it again. Also it was very hot inside, I've never been to a kbbq place where it was so hot. My bf and I were actually breaking a sweat, which really curbed our appetite and we didn't want to stay longer than we had to. Don't know if I will be back again with the many great options available in ktown. If you're looking for a good kbbq place in the valley try Kogiya in Northridge, just don't expect super friendly service, but the food is good and it's not hot. read more

This place is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! There is a reason I keep coming back to this place. The customer service is great here. You can see the employees work together to bring your food out as fast as possible. they are very busy so they dont want to keep you waiting. The food is SOOOO good. The meats are delicious. The ambiance is great, I love how they play EDM music. The bar in the back is really cool. You can chill and buy beer and saki play some video games, while you wait for your table. This is a great spot for big parties. When your table is ready, you already have your appetizers and salad ready for you. So you can start grubbing as soon as you set down. This is a solid place for the price they charge! During lunch hour its about $5 cheaper then there dinner menu which basically is the same exact menu. Whats cool about this place is the fact that al appetizers are included in the "al you can eat" price which consists of shrimp & vegetable tempura, in addition to a bunch of other great sides and soup as well which I have never personally tried. The longest I have had to wait to get in to this establishment has been about 10 minutes on a weekend night, which as we all know, isn't the case about Korean barbecue places. I have waited up to hours before at other places. The quality of the meat has been pretty stable. There noodles are also very good as well. I regularly go to G.E.N. and this place is MUCH better. Their meats are better cuts and the marinades are better tasting and make the meats much more flavorful. They have multiple fried rice options and at the end they give you some frozen yogurt which is the perfect treat after all that meat! The only downside is that they don't carry the green tea salt. Oh and beware that if you leave any uncooked meat on the plates they WILL charge you extra. So only order what you can really eat. I also highly recommend that you check in with Yelp so you're not waiting 1 hour plus. The wait is long but it's well worth it. read more

I heard this place just opened a few days ago and decided to give it a try... Let me first preface by saying that I have been to a lot of Korean BBQ locations in Korea Town as well as the San Fernando Valley and am very well versed in this food category. I am very critical of Korean BBQ restaurants because most of them I have been to are just not that great. All I can say is that I was blown away!! If I could give more stars, I would! For being a new operation, the staff was very good. They asked me what I needed frequently and always made sure the grille was full of whatever choice of meat I preferred. The quality of food and the marinades were just perfect! Everything I tried was just excellent. Needless to say I won't be going back to Korea town which helps because I live within 10 miles of Ayce Gogi. There was plenty of parking in the front which is unlike places in Korea town. The folks at Ayce Gogi are going to know me very well as I plan on visiting often and letting my family and friends know about this new restaurant. I recommend the Kalbi soup, the marinated Kalbi, the spicy Kalbi, the brisket, the bulgogi and this place has a beef fried rice that is SO addicting, you can't stop eating it!!! My advice to every single person eating here is to dip the cooked meat in their special jalapeno dipping sauce that they bring you. It makes the flavor REALLY pop. If you don't try the jalapeno dipping sauce, you are missing out. The brisket really comes alive with this dipping sauce. I have yet to go to a Korean BBQ location that has this dipping sauce. Trust me when I say to try it! To all my fellow yelpers, I highly recommend this establishment. It is now truly the best Korean BBQ in the San Fernando Valley.
