We got takeout from here. The lady on the phone recommended their duck with vegetables, accompanied by the sweet and spicy sauce, so we went with that. We also got a vegetable red curry. The duck was really delicious and the sauce went perfectly drizzled over it. There was a good amount of assorted veggies underneath the roasted duck. Their red curry is quite standard, with plenty of curry sauce. It wasn't spicy at all but you can ask for the spicier version. All in all a great takeout experience! read more

Its part of a strip-mall-like shopping center and the exterior looks the part. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Thai spot in this area, but I was happy to find it! The interior was surprisingly beautiful. Lots of cherry woods, warm paint from wall-to-wall and on the ceiling, ambient lighting, even in the restrooms, and beautiful artwork. He had infinite patience for our table's questions (we had a Thai food virgin and a Thai food novice with us). I was super excited to see a whole section on the menu dedicated to my favorite bird...the duck! I didn't actually order off that menu, but I did order me some duck. Our table had Duck Noodle Soup, two orders of Pad Kee Mao at different spice levels (my GF ordered the "Thai Spicy"), Chicken Fried Rice, and Spring Rolls. The "Thai Spicy" noodles were indeed spicy, but the dish was really bland...salty enough, but that fresh basil kick was totally absent. My duck noodle soup was also dull, probably the dullest I've ever had of this dish. Tasty!! Ayuttaya did not disappoint. It's a bit of a weird shopping center to get into, but boy does it have its surprises. I had a hankering for some good Thai food and saw the reviews on yelp were outstanding, so we swung in. We started off with some apps or spring rolls and summer rolls. My mom is a vegan and our waitress so so nice and helpful making sure she knew what she could and could not eat. Even brought out an extra sauce that she new was vegan!! The spring rolls were good, SUPER hot and fresh. For our main course, my dad and I had pad Thai, him with beef, mine with chicken. It was delicious!! I can't remember what my mom had. Something with veggies, rice and tofu. She really enjoyed it. She also loved their vegetable Tom Yum soup which she was surprised was vegan!! I tasted it too and man it was flavorful!! The food is good. The service started off a bit sluggish but improved by the end of our lunch. My chicken rice soup was served barely luke warm/almost cold . Took about 10 minutes to get server's attention to correct. Husband loves good Pad Thai, but not here -- it's way too sweet. He's had duck here on prior visit and found that sweet as well. My standard dish is either red chicken curry or panang beef curry. I've not tried panang as yet here. The red curry is okay, but not the creamy consistency coconut flavor I'm used to in Seattle. Ayuttaya Thai Cuisine interior is nice. Gets busy at lunch. The fresh rolls are loosely rolled making them difficult to eat. Also on recent lunch, shrimp was hot in our fresh roll, which was weird with all of the other cold crisp veggies. Their peanut sauce is watery and loose. Had much better. Thai tea is good. read more

I asked for my food to be steamed instead of stir fried and the server looked at me and said no. Every Thai place I've eaten at in the past can do this easily. She finally called over someone else and after explaining what I wanted, I was told it could be done but it would take a long time. I asked for sauce on the side and that started a whole new conversation. And finally was told it was ok, but again it will take a long time. My meal finally arrived and it looked fine, but no rice. I had to wait a while to see our server against n to ask for the rice. I'm glad I asked for sauce on the side, before other orders I saw, had their food swimming in sauce. We ate twice here during our four week stay in Ocala. If I could give it more stars, I would! We've eaten Thai food all over the country and this ranks in our top two. On our first visit, we began with an order of spring rolls and crab Rangoon. They both were fresh, made in-house, and full of flavor, enough to share amongst the four of us. We ordered pad Thai with tofu and one with chicken, drunken noodle with tofu, and spicy basil rice with shrimp, at the medium spice level. All agreed medium was about as hot as we could handle, but perfect. The tofu was delicately browned and cubed, the chicken was all white meat and melted in your mouth, and the shrimp was cooked and seasoned just right. The pad Thai had crushed peanuts on the side, the flavors complex, not just a peanut butter sauce like others. The other dishes had generous portions of vegetables and Thai basil. We finished our dates but agreed we were pleasantly stuffed! On our second visit the only change we made was ordering chicken satay and the dumplings as appetizers. Again, the flavors were over the top, distinct for each, and the dumplings were practically bursting, they were that full. The service was fantastic, pleasant, quick, and attentive. The second visit, the smiling chef brought us our entrees, a nice touch. The restaurant is not large, with dark wood colors, soft lighting, and relaxing piano music playing, creating a soothing environment. We definitely recommend Ayuttaya and will visit again when we're in Ocala. My only regret was not taking pictures! read more

She remembers you every time you come back. She is an absolute delight. The Pad Thai is my favorite, and I change the meat selections every time we go. The Curry dishes are also very good. We have tried many items in the menu and have loved them all. If I want to change a meal or add something to it, it's never a problem. This was a haven after three plus hours of driving the 301 barren wasteland. Hubby and I stopped in on our way back to home after visiting family. The bathrooms were very clean and the door was propped open which helped on the touching factor. The spring rolls were completely forgettable. We should have tried the Thai samosas instead. My pad se-ew had a light flavor. It was light on the extra broccoli but heavy on being nice and hot. I really appreciated the crispness of the veggies. The name of the restaurant is difficult to pronounce, the food is very good. The menu has a wide range of Thai food. We were seated promptly early, we had a reservation, and it wasn't needed. We went at 5 pm. and there was plenty of seating available. We ordered our drinks, the selection is limited (Beer, Wine, and non alcoholic drinks) the Thai beers were nice. We selected the Crab Rangoon and spring rolls, both were very good. Our entrées were Pad Thai with Shrimp, Fried Rice with chicken, sweet n sour chicken and pork with veggies. I tasted all for dishes, the sweet n sour chicken isn't your typical SNC, the chicken pieces are sautéed instead of fried, it has a tomato base with lots of chunk veggies, bell peppers, onion, carrots, pineapple, the flavor is very good though. The pork and veggies, nice tender pork slices, with a big variety of veggies, too many to list. The Fried Rice with chicken was modified with brown rice, and with peas and carrots. The brown sauce (?) was very tasty, and plentiful. The Pad Thai with Shrimp was my dish, instead of crushed peanuts, I opted for peanut sauce, fantastic move. Plentiful and lots of flavor. Our waitstaff was incredible, prompt and friendly. Food came out hot and fast. Celebrating my birthday, I received a bowl of Thai ice cream, coconut and green tea, light and refreshing to end the meal. And the price is reasonable. Good place for Thai Food. There's nothing that can begin to describe how I feel about this place. The food is excellent, the place is clean, the staff is attentive and friendly. Their chicken pad thai is absurd.
