They sent me a work sheet that contains pictures of the vehicle body for me to explain and leave detailed instructions and drawings on where to cut the panel I need including tolerances. I purchased through the Eugene, Oregon branch and had the finished (cut) part sent to Graham, WA for pick up. Although I left very specific and detailed instructions on where to cut the part, they made it approx. 30% larger than what I needed. It was so big, it wouldn't fit in the vehicle I was in for transport. I asked them to please cut the part to size per signed order instructions while I wait; they apologized and told me they were very busy and to come back next week, even though they know Graham for me was a 4 hour round trip. I don't know if maybe it's because of my accent, or if this is the way their customer service is with everyone. read more

Be very careful dealing with these people. I called the Graham location and asked for a specific engine because it had good compression. I got home and didn't unload the engine before noticing that the block was cracked. I called the rep that I had talked to and sent him pictures of the cracked block. He knew I wanted good compression, and didn't want the one left in graham because the compression was very low (100 to 140). He told me that there was one in Oregon he could have sent up. I would have to wait till the middle of next week. I called twice and they then told me that the engine was at the graham location.I told the lady at the counter that the block had been broke on my engine, and I had been waiting for one from Oregon. I went and picked up the engine. They loaded it in truck. I didn't look closely at top, and I didn't read the paperwork on the stock number they gave me very closely. I get home and look writing on the top of the engine and closely at the paperwork. They gave me the engine with the crappy (100 - 140) compression. I look online and the one with good compression is still in Oregon. Bottom line be very careful and look out for the Bait and switch with these people. Don't blindly trust that they are going to give you what they say they are. read more

I've had a lot of good times with B&R. Don't get me wrong. I would give them a 3.5 to 4 stars every other time but this time. Not so much. I get that a wheel spindle isn't exactly the easiest thing to imagine. A piece where the shock mounts to the vehicle (2013 VW Golf) but four parts turned over without the piece I asked for. It's just aggravating. The sales rep. department needs better communication with the wrecking yard parts pickers. When someone asks for a specific part, it needs to be relayed. You have over 10+ cars listed on Car-Part.com under the Part Category 'Spindle'. I'm sorry. I don't know how else to explain a Spindle/Knuckle Assembly. **Took about five times, but I finally got one. They just sent my practically half of the rear end, but it works. Thank you. read more

Random stop to see if they had a trip piece for an old Subaru. The office was busy with about 4 people in line. Moses greeted everyone that walked in let us all know it would be a minute. That was a pro move considering the circumstances. He helped me look up the vehicle and found it for me. We agreed on a hell of a price. He gave me a map and sent me to the yard. While wandering around another employee let me know I was in the wrong spot and showed me where to go. Again, didn't expect the customer service at a junk yard. They had exactly what I was looking for and some other things I'll need to go back for. Moses runs the front end like it's his business...maybe it is. I was at Graham, WA B&R Auto Wrecking to purchase a Chevy Tailgate for my Check 2500HD Pickup. Before I walked into this office I received a previous estimate from an agent from Portland, OR. I walked into this local office and dealt with a man named JARED. JARED was notified about my previous estimate from Portland, but he decided ignore all that and lie to me so the price went from $225 to a NEW JARED PRICE of $325 with tax. I walked out of that office with frustration and managed to find my Portland Auto Wrecking Agent by the name of Lino. Lino recalled our conversations and got me a reference number to give to the Graham office incase these shylocks should pull an amnesia scam on me again. I managed to to obtain my tailgate for $240 with tax. Be careful of JARED he will steal from you without thinking about it twice. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. The customer service at the Graham location is pretty much non-existent. We paid for the part we needed to be pulled on August 26th . We were told no more than 48 hours until it was ready. No one called so we called on Thursday and after being hung up on 3 times finally spoke to a guy named Dakota. He said he would call us right back. Never did. Called on Friday and same guy told us they were working on it and he would call us right back. Never called us back! I called this morning and was told our part had been waiting for us. No one ever called us to let us know!!!!! Yes he could have been much better the person I was talking to could have been much better he did not listen to what I had to say at all and sent the wrong part anyway even though I said power steering pump reservoir not power steering pump. So for that they're getting two stars and they're making me miss out on a week and a half worth of work. I just spent $700 on a "run tested" transmission and paid a lot of money to have it installed only to find out the transmission is BAD!!! Make sure that whatever you buy it's what you want and what you need and it will fit because if you have to do a return there are going to be lots of issues getting your money back. My favorite auto yard in all the world. Rebuilt the front end of my mustang on less then half what other yards were charging. I live out in olympia so its a bit of a drive, BUT at the prices they boast even with the gas I spend to get here I'm usually still ahead by 20-40 bucks. I stopped in there yesterday to find a few GMC decals for my Acadia. The young lady Heather at the counter was very quick to find an Acadia on the yard And I went out there and found a couple of small plastic items that were worn out or missing from my car. When I came back in with the pieces she said have a nice day and didn't even charge me a penny. Another time I needed a control for my seat of my Silverado and they had one in the yard I brought it back in they charge me five dollars that same part on the GM dealer was over $200 so I was very happy both times in the last few months that I have been there. I asked them for a couple of parts with pigtail wires. They charged top dollar for that and 2 days later I came to Graham, WA to pick the parts. They said "we are looking for it" and I was waiting for more then 1 hour before start asking questions and they admitted that they do not have it. Funny part that they cannot return full money. They hold 15-20% (do not remember how much exactly) for "restocking fee". I was promised to receive the parts in mail at no extra charge. The parts came in... almost 2 weeks! With no pigtail wires! I was told that if I send them back they will return my money. I sent but they keep saying that they do not see them and do not return the money back. The bottom line: DO NOT PREPAY THEM AND DO NOT BELEIVE THEIR PROMISES!!! Pay them only if the part is in front of you. read more

Now I just want to return everything and they will not give me back the freight fee (which they did not tell me about) and now they are also charging me a restocking fee. I thought these guys were awesome!! I found them after we caught some junky breaking out my back quarter windows to steel stuff from my Escalade. First I got a quote from a glass place. It was 4 times the amount I paid at B&R. I placed my order and they called the next day saying it was ready!! I came to get them and the traffic is sooooooo bad down there it took 2 hours to get there in rush hour. They stayed open late and let me come in and get them about a half hour after they closed. Then the guy who brought the glass out even gave me step by step tips to install them. And the lady who is the farthest person to the left when you walk in the front door, SHE WAS BEYOND AWESOME!!! I searched for a used transmission online and found one that would work at B&R. The address listed on the website was incorrect, so I had to drive another 20 minutes to get to the main facility in Graham. I ordered and paid for the tranny, and I got a call 8 days later saying the transmission was ready (when they told me it would be 5-7 days). When I went to pick it up the worker at the counter said I could back up to the loading zone where I waited about 30 minutes for anyone to help me. When someone did finally come over, I was informed that they had taken more than a week to pull the wrong transmission, and I was asked to park in the main lot for another 45 minutes so they could get the right one. When I was finally given the transmission, the VIN did not match what was on my receipt so I had to go back inside to talk to the people at the counter. They told me the new transmission had more miles on it than the one I originally paid for (67k on the one I paid for, 110k on the one I got). I asked for a partial refund and was told that it wasn't possible because the transmission still came with a limited 90 day warranty. What a joke, I'm having to drive an hour each way (2 trips at this point) just to wait for an hour in the parking lot and be given a worse transmission that I wanted. I'm not planning on coming back, and I would warn others to stay away unless you don't mind your time being wasted by B&R. read more

The most terrible wrecking yard I've ever been to. I ordered a part and they said i could pick it on a Tuesday. When i went to get it they said sorry but we no longer have the part you have to go to out other store in spanaway on Thursday to pick up another one. I called the spanaway store on Thursday and they said yes we have it and i could come pick it up. I arrived thirty minutes after speaking with them and they said oh sorry but it's at the meridian store now. I told them i wanted to speak with someone at the meridian store to verify that they actually had the part in their hands. The man said"yes i have the part in my hands" i was there within fifteen minutes of that phone call and they again said they couldn't find the part. They had me sit for an hour and a half before telling me they couldn't find it and that they were closing. The whole time i didn't see anyone looking for the part and the guy i spoke to on the phone said he didn't remember talking to anyone.... Now I'm still waiting on a part that is suppose to be delivered to my house now but days later it still hasn't arrived. I keep getting the same response... " It's out for delivery" avoid this place at all costs. Update.. i finally received the part and because of my review on Yelp a manager finally contacted me to apologize... She reran my vin and realized they ordered the wrong part and they had none for the year of my vehicle. I was told because I paid cash that they would mail me the check, and call me with the tracking number. Two weeks later no call, zero communication, but I finally got the check today. Avoid! This should have been a simple transaction. I ordered a replacement wheel via phone, since they did not have one in stock and told me they would be transferring one in from another yard. It did not arrive on the day promised, but a day later. When I went to pick it up, nobody could fine it. After about 40 minutes, I was told that somebody had accidentally sent a spare, instead of the regular wheel and the correct one that I ordered was coming in a few days. Several days later, I arrived again to pick up the correct one. It took about 30 minutes for them to find it and it was not even close to as described. It was damaged and unusable. According to one employee, the damage code indicated it needed 3 hours of re-working to be used. It was purchased as being in great shape with a small scratch. A refund was requested, but I was told that it wasn't possible to do there in person, which seemed ridiculous. I was told that they were sending an email to the person who I had placed the order with and that it would be resolved the next day. It wasn't and I did not get a phone call. I had to call back two days later. I provided all of my info again and was assured a refund was being done and that I would be getting a confirmation email. That never happened either. This will apparently be resolved with a credit card dispute. This ended up being a massive waste of my time. They are very unorganized and didn't really appear to care about their customers.
