Steamed smoked duck. Delicate and moist.

If you love raw marinated Korean crab in soy sauce and you don't want to drive to K-town, now here is a good GG option. They only use good sized female blue crabs for the dish. I love it accented with their fragrant sesame oil on top of a hot bowl of rice. The delicate contents on the inside of the shell is so rich and full of umami flavor. The gochujung version is also delicious. It is not too salty and resides at an easy to enjoy level of spiciness. The steamed duck dish was definitely more than a 1-2 person portion advertised on the menu which justifies the $89 price. I was too full by the time it was ready to eat and it got overpowered by the crab dishes but it was a great meal later that night. The service is prompt and attentive. We will definitely be back.

This place is located in the side of Hmart. This place has a lot of seats and typically not busy. Had a wide range of Korean food. I went here for the raw marinated crabs which were good. I've tried the soy marinated crab but felt that the portions are really small. My fav here was the spicy raw marinated crabs and corn cheese. I tried their galbi and monk fish but it was okay. I felt some dishes could be marinated better or longer. The fish would have the sauce outside but the actually fish was plain. I also felt like none of the dishes I had were spicy.I do think there potential but wish the dishes had a more impactful taste.

My husband and I ordered Hinoki steam smoked duck& beef and spicy marinated raw crab. We were both very impressed !! Everything tasted so yummy and healthy including their side dishes. Also, the owner of the restaurant was super nice and genuine. I hope this restaurant sticks around for a longgg time:)

Great place for marinated raw crab either with soy sauce or spicy. We got both crabs and the duck. The banchans were great and the portion sizes generous. We had lots of left overs to take home. This is a new restaurant with lots of space and very clean. We hope to come back soon to try the other menu items. Lots of parking out front cause it's in the HMart center. Everything was delicious. Happy Yelping!

Gopchang, daechange is what has me coming back for more. I love how it includes rice balls with it. After we eat about two of the rice balls, I regret not saving it and making fried rice with the leftover gopchang and daechange. One day when I'm there I shall remember. Bossam was really good. I love how it was presented in a wooden box. It says to leave it close so it can steam for a certain amount of time (I forgot), but I suggest not going by the time they say. I would steam it for less because the veggies were overcooked. Other than that, it was really good It's a small place and this place gets busy. I noticed a lot of to go orders too. They are that good. While there, when one group leaves, another shows up at a perfect time to take it up.

Food is pretty good. We ordered the army stew, grilled abalone, soy sauce raw marinated crab, and the hinoki steam beef brisket and it was all good. My fav was the steamed beef and the army stew. The side dishes are also all so good, we kept getting refills! Inside of the restaurant is pretty big and spacious and service was great when we came! Little on the pricier side, but will probably be back again because the food was good! Was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures before..

If you get the marinated crabs, I highly recommend getting the kal guksu too! The crab was absolutely delicious. Not too salty but salty enough for it to be perfectly paired with rice! 2 crabs fed all 3 people in my party. After eating the crab, I ordered the kal guksu and its cold and clear broth was an amazing way to end the meal. It's a little vinegary so it really cleans your taste buds after. They lived up to their name because the banchan was absolutely extraordinary! I love authentic korean restaurants that put so much love and care into the side dishes as well. My favorite was the steamed cabbage with the soybean paste because it's really unique to this place and you don't normally see them at other places. The potato salad was so exquisite as well! I love how much apples were in it making it salty and sweet and crunchy! My mouth is watering thinking about going back!

This ma and pa like shop restaurant, is absolutely delicious and tasty in every way! My partner and I have come and eaten here at least once a week since they've opened bc of how good is it! From their spicy marinated crab, to their kalguksu, chicken ginseng, and various side dishes, we always leave SO satisfied and filled!! The owner is always so respectful and polite. It truly feels like you're being taken cared of and the food comes out in a timely manner as well! Please come and show support if you're in the area!

Everything was delicious. banchan -delicious. Spicy seasoned raw marinated crabs - Incredible. Tea - so soothing. Soup - Perfection. Rice - it was GOOD rice. Service - excellent! I could have finished everything because it was that good, but I decided to take my leftover crab and a half to go. My conscience told me to give my tummy a break. My brain and heart insisted that I should come back to try the rest of the menu. (For once, they actually agree on something!) I came for dinner on Thursday around 7:45pm and I was the only person there. If you can, support this business!

The food here is absolutely delicious! I came here as a party of four. We ordered the brisket and duck with an extra order of brisket and the soy marinated crabs just 2. This was my first time having marinated crabs and it was amazing!!! The duck was also delicious. Perfectly steamed cooked and I'll probably won't want it cooked any other way. The service was really good even though it was only 3 person staff at the time. The sign on the door says grand opening is Nov 4 so I guess it was still soft opening when I went. I hope it doesn't get too crowded to the point there's a long wait but the food is so amazing I wouldn't be surprised if it does become really popular. I would definitely recommend this place.

The service was attentive. Well they are new and we are their 2nd table. Food is very delicious. I found my OC soy marinated crab, I don't have to drive to LA Vermont no more. Oh did I mention their bancha are really tasty I can tell it's on the higher quality bancha.

The place popped up as new with good review so I decided to try! I tried the Hoinooo steam beef brisket and it was really good! Worth trying and me and my wife got good service.

Along with that, our table also ordered: the quail with sticky rice ($20.99), salted fish and shrimp fried rice ($24.99), shaken beef with garlic noodles ($22.99), bok choy with sautéed garlic ($12.99), a hot tea ($4.00), Coca-Cola ($5.50), a mojito ($15.00), and a margarita ($15.00). With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. I guess your impression of this restaurant depends, at least in part, on what you order. The service, by the way, was excellent. The dining environment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of television screens so people could keep up with World Cup matches.

Or maybe they like the cuisine, but for health reasons they've been told to avoid eating it. I know for me I just haven't come around to a lot of Asian cuisines that are focused on high vegetable and low protein content. But to this day Toby and I have never shared a seafood boil together. She has a germaphobe reaction to eating food with her hands and there's no easy way to knife-and-fork stuff like shrimp, crawfish, crab, or lobster. She's offered to get something else like fish n' chips or a plain steak or something, while I get myself a boil. However, one of the joys of boils is digging into a mound of Cajun-flavored seafood together as a group effort. A wondrous temple to the art like Roux Seafood Kitchen would be wasted on her. I couldn't get enough of their shrimp and crawfish. They were both plump, flavorful, and disassembled easy in my hands. At a lb. each, I was more than stuffed at meal's end. I think the only thing that could've made it better is if I had ordered a lobster tail in there. That would've been my ideal order. The service was great here for my party. The drinks were refilled quickly, the food was brought out in an efficient manner, and even the order taking was controlled in what kind of have been haphazard conditions. I liked the ambiance too. The dining room was a spacious and accommodating. The music was low. And the crowds were busy but not super full, which is where I like it. Nobody was on top of each other at neighboring tables and the noise level wasn't drowning. All in all, I think this is the perfect example of a seafood boil joint. This festive News Orieans-inspired resto with Asian flair in Huntington Beach did not disappoint!…read moreIt's a few miles away from the beach, but it is on busy Beach Blvd! We just ordered two staples: Jambalaya & Shrimp Etoufee. Entrees came out in about 20 minutes hot, fresh & amply sized. They're reasonably priced, too! I'm glad we didn't order any apps b/c the entrees were more than enough food. Thought about getting the beignets, but I could not find any more room to fit them in! I had a glass of KJ Chardonnay to accompany the meal and it was pleasant. Service was very friendly and helpful from both servers working today. 5% discount if you use cash! Plenty of parking in the lot. Peace.
