I usually get 3 el pastor and 3 carne asada tacos (I could eat about 8) Carne Asada (Grilled Angus Steak): $3.50+ Calories: 120-140 Pastor (Marinated Pork): $3.50+ Calories: 150-200 The churros are well coated, I could eat maybe another basket of these. I usually spend $35+ plus drinks. I think it's a good deal for the size and amount of toppings it has. I asked for extra onions and cilantro, but it didn't seem like I had extra of either. I got the campechana quesadilla and the barbacoa taco with churros on the side. I thought everything tasted great and was reasonably priced. The salsa counter is a bit awkward- they should have cups to pour salsa into on the side. They also don't offer water cups which is annoying. It's hard finding good tacos in Texas in comparison to Los Angeles and New York, but we have officially deemed this location our spot when in town. They are fast, clean and reasonable. The young lady was very kind taking my order and knowledgable about what I should order. My order: Chicken on Flour and Corn Carne Asada You visually see the machine used to make the corn tortillas rotating in the back. They have a churro station. They make everything in house and they salsa is on point! I was not a fan of the Carne Asada so the second visit I only ordered chicken; I felt it had more flavor. They do use a lot of packaging with their brand, being from Cali we are conditioned to recycle. My feedback is that it's unnecessary to have the boxes for two tacos. First time I got the carne asada quesadilla with Mexican coke and then the second time Barria tacos (weekend only!). The consommé it comes with.... Omg, gotta dip your tacos in that! I have been to Chilangos a few times and each time has been really good. These are street tacos so know that going in. Please don't let that discourage you from visiting because they do a really good job. Typically I get the pastor and asada tacos. Great flavor and they also have dipping sauces that you can grab at the counter when you pick up your order. Food was very good and arrived quickly. The hongo taco was great. Chips and salsa were good, but since the tacos came out so quickly, you don't really need them. You get sauces from big bowls on the counter. There aren't little cups to use, you put the sauce directly on your food. I wasn't sure which would be good on the various tacos I got so I just guessed. There is some kind of 3rd party loyalty app there. We ordered our main meal, then when I went back to make a to-go order, they asked my phone number. I thought they were going to text me when it was ready, but it also gave me the option to quickly sign up for the rewards. I got rewards on the to go order only, so if you care about the rewards, be sure they get your phone number. There is probably a way to retroactively register the first order but it wasn't that big a deal. Very friendly service. The entrance faces Alpha, not Preston, and parking is easier on the Alpha side. read more
