Second time here in the past month. This time I noticed all the dogs in the outside patio area. That is a super chill vibe, man and his best friend. One of the nicest outdoor patios in Minnesota. Both times brought my elderly in-laws who are simple red meat eaters. The bloodier and reder the meat, the better. They love the food here. This time I got the filet mignon steak sandwich based on the reviews ... I got mine medium rare. It is a thick piece of steak between two pieces of bread. While very good, the bread slid off and fell apart immediately and so I cut it up with a steak knife and ate it like you would a steak. Maybe it would be better chopped up and served in burger form, pink. It just sort of fell flat as-is. I give it an unenthusiastic 3 stars ... does not really deliver as either a sandwich or filet mignon steak. $28, wow, it is excessive. Fries were okay. I had the linguine di mare last time and it was very good, four stars. I should have ordered that again, or gone with the sea bass, but after the sandwich failure, now I am wondering what I would get for a $40 piece We got peach cobbler for dessert that no one liked, including my in-laws who will eat pretty much anything. Also got cheesecake, which was good. Service outstanding. Perfect touch. Dining room is very nice. Service, atmosphere are fives, but the food just seems overpriced based on the product delivered. Amazing experience. Very beautiful inside, thoroughly enjoyed the customer service. Dimmed and warm lighting, not too loud and perfect for a intimate dinner or birthday celebration. Has options of beautiful white table cloth table seating or booths that are both equally comfortable. Food was wonderful as well! They gave us free desserts since it was both of our birthdays and the waiter even offered to take our pictures. Very wholesome spot that's not too popular, would definitely come back. read more

Been here for dinner several times and the food was outstanding, great ambiance, friendly staff. I bragged to my daughter about it and so ended up lunch bonding. I had the catch of the day ... oh my! my plate was cleared in 10 minutes. 1st time I didn't take a doggie bag with me. Brought new North Dakota friends to Bacio's Friday evening, 10/1/2021. They were hungry for pizza so ordered a pepperoni and they said it was the best crust and pizza they have ever eaten. So Sunday before they left for ND we went back to Bacio's during brunch hour snd they made us pizza again. This place is so accommodating and delish! Overall it was a mediocre experience. There were the good, the bad and the worst. The "Good": The ambience was nice for dinner. It was busy but wasn't too noisy. I ordered the beef tenderloin fettuccine ($22) and it was really good. Pasta was cooked al dente, it has a good selection of mushrooms and the cream sauce wasn't too heavy. The bread served was really tasty too. The "Bad": It was inexcusable how slow the service was. Yes, the waiter checked back on us after we got our food but that was basically it. It took a while for the server to get back with the bill and way too long in between menu items. The "Worst": My boyfriend's first impression when he saw his plate was that it looked like cafeteria/hospital food. He ordered the 6oz filet that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts ($36). Firstly, portion-wise, besides the steak, he had an ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes and probably a similar scoop of brussel sprouts (see photo for reference). As for taste, the mashed potatoes were quite salty, dry and had no temperature. The steak was over seasoned. Sadly, though the brussel sprouts were a thumbs up, he wished he had more. Conclusion: Come here for pasta dishes or pizza. It's not worth your money due to the small portion sizes if you order the meat entrees. You're better of spending the $36 at Fogo De Chao where you get a variety of meats and sides. read more

I've been back to Bacio several times since my original review and my opinion remains unchanged. It's a sleak, attrative, upscale establishment where one may expect to get a well prepared meal at a not unreasonable price. Most recently I dined here with four others. A party of five can make for an awkward table arrangement. However, Bacio easily accepted my reservations for 7:15P on a Saturday evening and accomodated us right on time in a well proportioned booth. We shared the caramelized Brussels Sprouts, calamari and scallops to start. All were very good. For an entree, I had the steak frittes, medium-rare. It was perfectly done, very flavorful served with a béarnaise aioli and thinly cut, very crispy fries. Other entrees included a vegetable hash of some sort and parmesan crusted shrimp. No complaints were heard. Service was convivial and professional. The noise level for conversation was a bit elevated but not unbearable. Still a recommended destination if you happen to find yourself in the western 'burbs and are searching for an agreeable spot, lunch or dinner. read more

One can order off the regular menu or the happy hour menu during happy hour in the bar area. We have had delightful experiences in our two recent visits there. I can't say that anything is bad here, as I was happy with every part of it. Happy is all though. First of all, the service was fantastic, but everything else was just OK. I had the Ahi Tuna and it was fine, but nothing I will remember. Most of the rest of our party had pasta and everyone said they liked what they had, but no one was ooing and/or awing. We had the green peas, brussel sprouts, and calamari for apps. The sprouts and the calamari were really good, but the peas were just mediocre. The deserts were fine too, but the molten chocolate cake was not warm...therefore no "molten". It tasted good, but what makes molten chocolate cake great, is the warm melted chocolate, so if the chocolate isn't melted...well...you get it. If you are looking for dinner in a comfortable quiet setting and happen to be at Ridgedale or very near, give it a try. If you are looking for the best Italian, keep looking. read more

Our son took us out here for an early Friday dinner. The ambience is lovely, waitstaff very attentive, and the food...oh the food! My son ordered the grilled lake trout special and he said it was the best fish he had ever eaten- he shared a little and it was amazing. My husband ordered the seafood pasta and it was piled high with shrimp and clams, with a zippy sauce that pulled it together really well. For dessert we shared a blueberry lemon compote with vanilla ice cream. The berries were sweet and juicy and the lemon in the crust was an amazing layer of tart! Bacio is a place that would have flown under my radar had I not been introduced to it through my workplace, as I tend to shy away from restaurants situated in or near malls. When we have clients in for market research studies, one of our featured food menus is Bacio and it is a popular choice! I've tried just about every salad on the menu, and they are all fantastic, made with fresh, quality ingredients. The pasta is also very good, very rich, savory and flavorful. And you really owe it to yourself to try the tomato basil soup, it is hearty and packed with flavor. I've never actually eaten in the restaurant (we always do takeout), but the place itself is very sleek and dimly lit, and has a very business professional type atmosphere lined with modern, colorful artwork with an Italian flair. You see a lot of suits here schmoozing clients over business lunches and dinners. Not necessarily authentic Italian by any means, but I've never had a bad meal here; it's just a solid Italian-American joint. The customer service is also fantastic; they are very good at handling large orders and keeping everything straight. read more

We looked at yelp menu it says $$ and the prices on the online menu looked good. We get there and the prices on the menu were way higher. We irdered the full portion of shrimp pasta it said $25 and the waitress asked which shrimp we wanted there was 2 kinds. I asked which she recommends and I took her recommendation but she didn't tell is it was an up charge! When we got the bill it was $3 more! On top of that their full portion was barely enough for my 15 year old. The food was pretty good but way too expensive and not kid friendly. COVID patio only review. First off want to give our server, Ana. She was personable, attentive, and just over all provided exceptional service and reason why I bumped review from 4 to 5 . When we she provided our app she asked us what time we would like to have dinner come out -never have had that question asked before at any restaurant. Patio is large and beautiful, tables were spread apart, and they also have lights and heaters available when it gets dark and cool. We started with a half order of the Parmesan crusted shrimp 5/5 which was amazing kicking myself for not ordering a large portion. It came out hot with generous portions of a light lemon aioli and cocktail sauce. Shrimp was perfect size and had the right amount of coating that the shrimp still shined through. For dinner we both ordered the large portion of pasta ( huge and saved half for lunch the next day). I ordered the lamb linguine pasta was fresh, lamb was fall off the bone, but was not blown away by the sauce it was my least favorite of everything we ate 3.5/5. My s/o ordered the tortigolini sauce was creamy, generous portion, only complaint wish sausage chunks were bigger. 4.5/5. Will be back again!! read more

Dad wanted to go to Bacio tonight for his birthday and it was a great night. The ambiance was perfect. Sarah was our server- she was very attentive and knowledgeable about the NY Strip dinner special, which both my sister and father ordered and loved. Our calamari appetizer came out very hot and was great. I got the Thai BBQ Salmon, which was amazing! I was happy that Sarah asked how I wanted it cooked because I prefer my salmon medium rare and it cane out perfectly cooked. The sauce was well balanced- a little spicy, a little sweet. My boyfriend got the beef tenderloin fettuccini- he thought it was delicious. And my sister's boyfriend really enjoyed the Mediterranean grilled ahi tuna.
