This Bafang Dumpling is sooo much better than the one in Temple City! The food quality is good, the service is quick, the restaurant is clean and spacious, and there's more parking (obviously) because it's at the mall. This Arcadia location also offers a $10 special of pork chop and braised pork belly rice with a soda that's not available at other locations. I tried it, and it's really good. I'd definitely order this or the signature potstickers, which are always a solid choice. Overall, I'd say come to this location if you want comfort food and a better dining experience.
For Combo 1 that comes with 12 Signature Potstickers and choice of Hot & Sour Soup or Corn Chowder Soup for $13.75, it's a such a reasonably priced meal! The staff are friendly, however customer service could be improved because they messed up my friend's order. She ordered Combo 5 that was supposed to come with 12 Signature Dumplings and they gave her Potstickers instead lol. Kind of dumb of the staff to mess up an order that easily, as they weren't busy at all when we ordered before the dinner rush on a Friday. Soups (Hot & Sour and Corn Chowder) were yum! If you like moderately spicy flavored soup, I would recommend the Hot & Sour. For mellow, non-spicy soup go with the Corn Chowder. Can't go wrong with either soup, just a matter of spiciness preference. Their Potstickers were standard for the price, just not above average quality. Their Iced Lemon Black Tea (while more on the sweeter side) is a refreshing contrast to the savory food here. I think the City Of Industry location is better than this one in The Shops at Santa Anita mall.
Ordered the pork chop with braised pork belly rice. It came with a soda for only $10. What a deal! Very delicious meal for an affordable price. We also got the signature potstickers which had perfect crispy sides. Thoroughly enjoyed this meal and appreciate the convenience of this location being at the Arcadia mall.
The staff were very nice and attentive. It's more of a self-serve dumpling fast food joint if I have to categorize it. Pretty well priced comfort food in Arcadia. With the inflation, very hard to find a meal for less than 15 dollars. Got the signature potsticker, 12 pieces, for about 14 dollars with tax. The potstickers were a little bit on the oily side but the taste was good. It's good for a filling lunch. Parking is usually very packed for the mall. Make travel plans accordingly ~
Nice casual Taiwanese food spot at the mall. Came grabbed a quick bite here while waiting for a Lego event at the mall. We ordered signature potstickers and pork chop with braised pork belly rice. The signature potstickers is a family favorite. The wrapper is tender with a crispy bottom. The filling is seasoned just right. I's a bit disappointed with the pork chop - it has some sinew so it's hard to chew. The rice is mushy to me and not the best quality. Although the flavor is good and it's nice they cute the pork chop in 3 pieces. At the price point, can't really complain too much and compare it to din tai Fung. It's a quick casual place to get filled up and move on. The cashier is nice and friendly.

The pork was smothered in the minced pork sauce so lost all and any crispiness but it was tender and juicy! Served with a plethora of pickled veggies! I almost felt like there wasn't enough rice to toppings ratio! Spicy Wontons were delicious, but a bit gooey today. I'm guessing it's from the over starchy water they use to boil the dumplings. Soda fountain is self service, they also have a mini condiments bar. Would go back to try their other menu items!
It's kinda different from the original bafang dumpling in Taiwan. The bafangin Taiwan more like neighborhood dumpling restaurants, the bafang in the US kinda like dumpling fast food restaurant. We order beef noodle, combo 3 (dumplings + fried dumplings) and pork chops. ALL GOOD! Beef noodle is $17 and worth the price. Dumplings you can tell they are handmade and fresh. The pork chops were tender. Only thing I don't like is they use too much disposable tableware even for dining in customers, not eco friendly!

Order at the counter, give you a buzzer, pick your food up when buzzed, eat, and bus your own table. Condiments located near the water and utensils. Signature items are the Pork Chop, Potstickers, Won Ton, Spicy and Beef Noodles Soup. The latter had a choice of Original and Spicier Mala. We opted for the Wonton Soup, Potstickers, Original Beef Noodle Soup, and Spicy Mala Dry Noodles. All were good and if you were to order only one thing...get the Potstickers. Decent Taiwanese food in a mall setting. A little pricey compared to external Taiwanese Restaurants but you save on tip as it's all self-serve.
Another fast food restaurant to pick from at the Santa Anita Mall. However, Bafang Dumpling isn't in the food court, it it tucked on the 2nd floor near JC Penny. If you take the escalator up near Shibulaya it is on the right once you're on the second level. My husband and I went on grand opening week, where they offered different specials. We got a bag because we spent a certain amount. The service was very quick, we were able to order our food without waiting more than five minutes. I tried the Bafang Signature potstickers (pan friend) and my husband got the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Food: Potstickers- amazing, crispy and not too oily. I didn't even need to use any dipping sauce since it was so flavorful. Noodle soup: large portion size but my husband has had better, but for a fast food quality you can't beat it. Whenever I am craving for potstickers I will come here in the future!

Beautiful location with a pretty adequate and large dining space! The place looks clean and new, with many customers dining in and out. Most people may prefer to eat for here, but they also do takeout. I like how many of the utensils and sauce condiments are organized neatly near the pickup counter. Depending on time of day, it can be busy with lots of families but I was able to come by during a slow period of cooldown. The dumplings I got was a single order of their signature Bafang dumplings, yet they did take a long while. I recommend sitting down to wait for your order as it took longer than I would expect. The dumplings themselves were steaming hot, flavorful, and with great textures.

Stopped by on a Friday around 8 pm, and it wasn't too busy. The restaurant is located next to JCPenney, making it easy to find. The only downside was that it felt a bit stuffy inside, and the air conditioning didn't seem to be keeping up. I ordered the combo with pot stickers and the house special noodles. The pot stickers were crispy with a decent amount of filling, and the noodles were well-seasoned with a great texture. I also tried the corn soup, hot-and-sour soup, and braised pork. Everything was flavorful, but the corn soup was my favorite. Service was fast and friendly, and parking was easy since it's located at the mall. Overall, a solid meal with reasonable prices, and I'd come back to try more of the menu. read more
Located on the second floor near the JCPenney in the Santa Anita Mall. I finally went and tried the Bafang Dumpling. It wasn't too busy when I went, so there was plenty of seating. I got the Combo 1 which had the 12 Signature Potstickers and a small bowl of Hot & Sour Soup. For me, it was a two person meal since the potstickers are filling. It was good, but not the hype that I heard about. The service could be better. When the order is ready, the pager lights up, but the person is not there to greet you or anything. If you see the plate of food, it's must likely yours. I wonder if it's different if it's busier in-store. read more

New location in the mall! Lots of seating with an area to get drinks, sauces, and utensils. Service was fast. I got the signature dumplings and corn chowder combo. The dumpling was so juicy and soft. I've always loved the corn chowder!! This location is no different. read more
I wasn't a fan of the Bafang in Temple City, but I needed a bite at the Santa Anita Mall in the morning -- and this place opens pretty early. This Bafang is miles better than the one in Temple City in terms of both taste and speed. I got my food within ten minutes, and the prices were pretty reasonable IMO. I ordered a few combos, and here are my thoughts: Signature Dumplings (Boiled + Pan-Fried) - Nothing too special IMHO, but they tasted good. About the same as frozen dumplings, but still decent overall. (3.5/5) Wonton Soup - It tasted good, but it was so fatty -- you could see the layer of oil on top. The wontons were decent, but I definitely didn't want to finish the soup. (3/5) Bafang Signature Noodles - I actually liked these noodles, though if you're not a fan of peanuts, this one might not be for you. It has a very strong peanut/sesame flavor, so just FYI. (4/5) Corn Chowder - A super simple dish, but I actually really enjoyed it. It had chunks of ham and a few other ingredients. (4.5/5) Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back for some affordable dumplings. (Total was about $31 for two combos, and we left full.) I never had high expectations coming here, but I'm glad this experience was definitely better than my previous visits to Bafang. read more
You know for a location at the mall it has a really good price point for meal. I think just need to add a drink. The hype is kinda over so it wasn't too bad of a line and not too long of a wait for the food to come out. The space is nice, plenty of seating. (Enough space for a toddler to bring out all of his travel toys) I need to come back to try the rest of the menu read more
Loved the number of combinations u can choose from. There's something for everyone. The only downside is limited seatings. Wished they had staffs coming around to clear and wipe down tables to expedite seatings. Their dumplings are filled with a lot veggies so they weren't my kids' fav. read more
Decided to try this place since it was crowded during their grand opening period! The line wasn't long at all now but sometimes it's crowded inside with some seating still available. However closer to dinner time the sun setting is really bright and since the sun faces the windows directly it'll be a bit eye straining. We lined up to figure out what to order and decided to order a combo #4 (signature noodles, pork chop, and a drink) and the new item pork chop with braised pork belly rice, and a side of 12 signature potstickers. We paid at the counter and received a device to let us know when our order is ready. Some com is don't come with a drink, but you can get a water cup and fill up water at the fountain drink dispenser. They also have plenty of utensils, bowls, and sauces for you to choose from as well. Once we got our order, the potstickers actually had to take more time so we got our noodles and rice and pork chop first. I'm curious what the Bafang signature tastes like but I'm assuming spicy so I got the old fashioned noodles for my kid. The noodles are bouncy, chewy, and a bit hard. The sauce is savory and salty, which is sort of a soy sauce based sauce to me. My son ate a few noodles. The pork chip was good and as not crispy and sweet/salty, not a lot to share, but enough in the rice bowl for a normal person. I did like the pork belly as savory, tender and soft. The rice has other mix ins so we blended it all together. Once we got the potstickers it was piping hot, inside was pork and veggies and not spicy at all. We dipped it in the various sauces to try and it was pretty good but reminded me of the usual pork and veggies dumpling filling. Overall we spent almost $50 for two adults and one kid who just ate a few noodles. I'm not sure if I'll come back anytime soon unless it's for the rice bowl deal but I would most likely come back for this beef noodle soup to try. read more
It's alright! Swung by for a meal one day after their grand opening, after I was done shopping at the Westfield Arcadia mall and the line at Din Tai Fung was too long. This is a great option for those craving dumplings and you're on a bit of a budget or time crunch, the dumplings here will scratch your itch. Think of it like a "fast food for dumplings". I wouldn't say that they are top- notch-go-out-of-my-way, but it will fulfill your hunger and you'll think "yum" as you eat. I tried the Signature noodles, signature dumplings and wonton soup. - Signature noodles - I wish this came with a protein! It was just basic noodles, which were fine, but I feel it could really enhance the meal if there is an option to add a protein, even if it costs extra. - signature dumplings - pretty good! Definitely get some sauces to enhance flavors, but I would get this again - wonton soup - it was alright! To be expected, wontons were good It took slightly on the longer end to get my meal, but nothing to get upset about. Location was clean and service was friendly. Will come back if it's in my passing. read more
I attended Bafang Dumpling in Arcadia's grand opening event this morning. Usually, I'll order from the Temple city location once a month and it was good to see that they've expanded a second location here in Arcadia. I heard about their grand opening giveaway and promotions online and I was excited to see this new location. The great thing is they had a couple of registers open so the line went by really quickly. I knew exactly what I wanted to order. Some of my favorite items are the signature noodles, the kimchi and pork Potstickers, the hot and sour soup. There are lots of rent combo meals that you can order, depending on what kind of combination of items you are wanting to get. Some of them will allow you to swap between a soup or a drink, some of the other items are able to swap as well. I was given a pager then I went to the sauce station and filled up a couple of containers of sauce and then waited for my for you to be ready. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to make my food fairly quickly and I didn't have to wait too long. Considering how many people were in line they were able to make things in fairly quick turnaround. I believe their online ordering system is working now too. Usually for Temple city we will order online and pick up on site. They are located right by The JC Penney side of the mall. There's a good amount of parking out there. It's great to have another food option here in the mall for everybody to visit. read more
I love this new location inside Santa Anita Mall on the second floor next to H&M! The inside is bigger than their Temple City location. During softy opening , they are offering Taiwanese pork chop rice with braised pork and pickles and a drink for $10!!! I came on a Tuesday night at 8:30pm and they sold out of the pork chop rice and a few other items. I got the braised beef dry noodles and potstickers. The beef was so tender and I loved the sauce mixed in the noodles. The texture of the noodles was perfect. I loved the noodles so much I came back 2 days later for lunch and got the pork chop special, old-fashioned noodles, and hot and sour soup. Everything was delicious! Service was good. In fact I wasn't going to get the pork chop rice special but the lady behind the counter said I should and just get it to go. She said it's a good dish and a good deal . She is so wise ! I came here on their opening weekend (Sunday). And this place is packed with people. I saw in the previous review that they are slow in cleaning. But I do see at least two workers working nonstop cleaning up tables/floor. They were still in their opening week, so this kind of service is very acceptable already. It's a fast service kind of shop. Buy the items, get a beeper and came back to take your food when it beeped. The seating area is limited, but still spacious. One note is the location, it's in the inside of the mall right next to JC Penny 2nd floor. So parked at JC penny is fastest. I saw couple of pictures in yelp that make me believe it's the "outdoor portion of the mall with all the restaurants together". But NO, this place is indoor, upstairs from the children playground. For the food, The dumping is okay with this price tag. Not the greatest I have. But it's ok. (Both pot stickers and spicy wanton) The signature dried noodle is a bit oily for me. And it doesn't taste like the typical Taiwanese dried noodle. But taste wise, it's ok too. The exceptionally good one is the pork chop rice. Very tasty and well seasoned pork chop, cooked just right, with minced pork belly as well. One of must order item. Hot and sour soup is ok. Not sour enough. But we just put some dumping vinegar to spice it up. Overall a nice eating place for the mall. Fast and easy with reasonable price. Don't except din tai fung level though. read more
I've been to the TC location plenty of times, so I'm really glad there's now a Bafang closer to me inside the Arcadia Mall! It's on the 2nd floor, right at the corner next to H&M. As much as I wanted to check it out on opening day, I knew there would be hundreds of people way more dedicated than me lining up early in the morning. I finally went with a friend about a week later, and it was perfect--no crowds, no wait, just a nice, relaxed dinner. This time I ordered the combo with 6 potstickers, 6 boiled dumplings, and a corn chowder. Just like the TC location, they have self-serve water, dipping sauces, and utensils, which makes everything super convenient. When you're craving a quick, tasty meal without the long wait, Bafang is definitely the spot. Even though there's a beautiful DTF sit-down location in the same mall, I honestly prefer Bafang for a no-fuss, satisfying bite. read more
Given the soft opening, some operational imperfections were anticipated. My nephew expressed satisfaction with the Number 1 Combo, comprising twelve fried potstickers with hot and sour soup. I opted for six fried potstickers, Spicy Wonton, Crispy Wonton, and a fountain beverage. Several patrons at adjacent tables selected the Bafang Signature Noodle. The establishment's location within the Santa Anita Mall is highly convenient. While the dumplings may differ from those at another establishment within the mall, I would prefer going here than to have to wait to be seated. This restaurant has become my preferred destination for fried dumplings. I plan to return to sample their Signature Noodle dish. read more

I'm easy going. Lol. Everything smelled good and tasted good. You can make your own dipping sauces by the drink station and everything was clean. The staff was friendly and didn't rush us to order. The combos really fills you up! I thought 12 dumplings was the perfect amount but I was sooo full! But I'll be back for that chicken corn soup! On a cold day, it was a perfect meal! read more
To be quite honest, the service ruined it for me. The manager in the morning seems to have a bad attitude and seems like he doesn't want to be there. When we first walked in, he gave a very cold welcome and just said "let me know when you're ready." It was both our first times and we were excited and had questions about the menu and he would answer very demeaningly and point at the menu. The 2/3 questions we asked, he made us feel like we were stupid for asking those questions. And we were just asking him questions like, what type of soup came with the combo. We were the first customers of the day, and it seemed like he had such a bad attitude already. My friend knew someone who used to work there. They just opened a couple weeks ago and she was telling me that a lot of people are already quitting and I can understand why with the way he speaks to his customers. I can't imagine how he speaks to his employees. Anyway, I really tried not to let that experience affect me but it did. It was hard to enjoy the food after how the manager answered our questions. The noodles were pretty good, it's a little bit spicy. But I wouldn't get it again. The wonton soup was better. The soup was very rich and the wontons were pretty good. We came during the grand opening on Saturday, August 16. The restaurant was pretty packed with customers waiting in line and all the tables were occupied by children and adults. Even though I was in line, it moved very quickly and service was very fast. The decor was modern and clean with plenty of utensils, napkins, and cups at the counter. We ordered two #8 combos which came with a drink, pork chops, and two different noodles to choose from, which we decided to get the old fashion noodles and bafang signature noodles. We also ordered the veggie dumplings and potstickers, a Taiwanese beef noodle soup, spicy wontons, and their signature bafang potstickers. My favorite choices were the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, the signature potstickers, and the pork chop. The prices were pretty reasonable which is why I can see many families coming here to eat. I would compare this place to a dumpling take out place. The one dish I tried but didn't get a picture for was the sesame noodles. I would totally pass on that since it lacked flavor. Food is nothing special, on par with Qin West or Noodle St. also at the mall, but is nice to have as an option if you are ever craving a quick serve combo set of dumplings + something else (noodles, porkchop rice, soup, etc.). I like that you can dispense your own soda. One big thing missing: no chili oil! For dumplings it's essential but all they have is sriracha sauce (although my sister said it's more like sambal). Otherwise they have pumps for garlic sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black vinegar for you to mix. I enjoyed my mala beef noodle, it was not spicy at all and a little on the sweeter side with a very nice peppery taste. They gave a generous portion of tender beef and al dente noodles with good QQ. Staff is friendly but I was a little frustrated they wouldn't give me a bowl for my noodles after my family decided they wanted eat there and not to-go after all when I asked for one. My noodles came in a tall to-go container and the noodles separated in a different container, so they only offered me a small paper bowl that was hard to fit everything in. read more
Located inside the mall, on the second floor, near JC Penney. Place appeared clean. Came during their soft opening on a Sunday morning. There was no line. Their Pork Chop with Braised Pork Belly Rice was $10. The soft opening deal offered a free soda with the $10 Pork Chop with Braised Pork Belly Rice purchase. The 3 pieces of Pork Chop was little and tasted alright. The sauces (garlic, soy, black vinegar, and sesame oil) were not good. The Pork Belly was mostly fat. The place was similar to Ten Ren. What a truly succulent Chinese meal! The Arcadia location of the popular Bafang Dumpling chain delivers outstanding, heartfelt service and value at a fraction of the price of typical chain dumpling stores (such as DTF, Mama Lu's) with comparable quality. I am impartial with the kimchi potstickers and their original pork blend! The Ambiance is lively and always crowded, which speaks volumes to the quality of the establishment. The food was delicious and savory. The noodles were the star. It had great balance of flavors. The food came out fast, hot and fresh. Don't forget to ask about the fried chicken option. The sauce they give you with the fried chicken was a hit! Pretty much I dip my dim sum and drenched my already insanely good noodles. The place has great spread of condiments.
