Bafang is a great place to visit for a simple meal! I ordered the Signature Potsticker + Signature Noodle combo (only $12.75). It's a great value deal, though I would love if they had options on the menu to add meat / vegetables on top or on the side since the noodles are pretty simple. The noodles were a little bit salty but my friend said that other times they've come it was okay, so maybe it depends on who's working. Potsticker portions are pretty generous with 6 large potstickers and were tasty. There's a large free parking lot outside and plenty of seating inside, but when it gets busy it may be harder to get seats for a larger group. Came here on a Friday for dinner. The line was out the door. We waited probably 20-30min in line. You order at the counter and it's self seating. Since it was very busy, seating was kind of crazy with people trying to grab the next available table. We had a party of 2 and managed to grab two seats at the large table in the middle. We ordered combo 4 with the signature potstickers and signature noodles, and combo 6 with the Bafang dumpling bowl and corn chowder. We also ordered another side of hot and sour soup. The bafang dumpling bowl came with 3 types of dumplings, bafang signature, kimchi + pork and corn + veggie. I enjoyed all three but my favorite was probably the kimchi and pork. The potstickers were good but nothing super special. The noodles were very savory and I liked the texture of the noodles. Both soups were super tasty. I really enjoyed the corn chowder. The hot and sour soup was super hot but very good. I was actually surprised at how long it stayed hot for. I burned my tongue for not being patient enough haha. There is also a sauce station against the wall by the entrance. They had a small selection of sauces you can mix for your dumplings. It can get a little cramped around the area during busy times. Overall I enjoyed our meal here. I would like to come back again to try more items on the menu. Newly opened Bafang Dumplings in the Mira Mesa Mall adds another asian speciality to the growing landscape. Bafang Dumpling provides a very simplified menu with the options of combos or a la carte. The highlights of Bafang are of course their dumplings and potstickers. I opted to go for the potstickers combo which includes soup or drink. I went with the hot and sour soup as it's one of my favorite soups. The potstickers were ok but lacked alot of flavor as you really need to add sauces to it to get it to your liking. Similarily with the Hot Sour Soup, I had to add soy sauce, vinegar and garlic sauce to give it more dimension. Both items fell a little flat for me as I had to really add sauce to extract any flavor out of them. On the upside, the service was great and there was plenty of parking and seating. Not sure if I would come back as the food lacked any flavor and was just not memorable for me. read more

I finally got to check out Bafang Dumpling and it did not disappoint! You order at the cash register or on their self-serve kiosk and you pick up your food once it's ready. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean and the cashier was helpful in answering all my questions. I got to try their fried chicken with spicy sauce on the side, old fashion noodles, corn chowder, and soy mango drink. The fried chicken was perfectly crunchy and moist since they use chicken thighs. I mixed all the sauces and dipped the chicken in it and it was seriously so delicious! The noodles were tasty and the corn chowder was fine but the star of the show was the soy mango boba. It was the perfect combination of being creamy and refreshing. I highly recommend you try it! The only downside was that they don't offer the veggie or chicken potstickers and dumplings as part of their combo deals. The hype is real... Real long as in- the line goes all the way to Panda Express! Once you make it inside, it's a mad house with sauces on the floor from leaking bottles and people are literally running around trying to find a spot to dine in. Note, you'll have a better experience if you take it home. The ordering process is what is currently slowing this place down. They have kiosks available but aren't up yet. The staff work diligently to process orders and keep hungry customers happy. The food is prepared fresh and you can taste it. They do have a frozen option for their dumplings though I didn't see anyone taking any home... Why would you?! More work right!? Service is great. The manager is friendly and welcoming. Tables are clean as well as the restroom. Spotless. I tried: Combo 2 Combo 5 Combo 8 Lemon tea All were delicious and with the extra sauce that I managed to get into cups were amazing. Maybe they can add a few dedicated patio tables so that guests can enjoy their food while it's fresh. 4.5 stars since there's still room for improvement. Updated review -- and yup, still a 4-star rating from me! This place is good, I appreciate the convenience and it seems like a go-to for Asian families (lots of toddlers & Asian grandmas, got pretty crowded closer to late-lunch time). This is no Din Tai Fung though, so it's a solid meal, but taste profile is not as fine-quality. Some dishes were a little lacking. But not bad overall, and prices are very reasonable. Portion size of the beef noodle soup was gigantic. Love that they had radish in the soup, which brought back feelings of nostalgia. Would order again. The wonton soup had a good umami broth flavor, but the wontons themselves were a little bland. I recommend getting the potstickers instead. Got a couple of their sides - pickled radish/cucumbers, and jellyfish. The pickled dishes could use more vinegar and/or salt. Kinda lackluster, so would skip on this next time. Would come again for the convenient Asian food factor, but if treating friends out for a good meal, would opt for Din Tai Fung. read more

Today was the beginning of the one-week soft opening period for this Taiwanese dumpling chain located in the rapidly growing southwest corner of the Village at Mira Mesa. This is Bafang Dumpling's sixth location in the US with further expansion planned in Southern California. The suite here was supposedly one of their largest with enough tables and a countertop along the front windows to seat nearly 60 diners. I came in the mid-afternoon expecting a long wait. The queue stretched just outside the front doors which wasn't too bad. It moved consistently and took about 25 minutes to reach the service counter. There was also a kiosk along the right wall to place an order online without the assistance of an employee, however the system was not operational during my visit. The menu screens featured eight combo meals and a la carte offerings of dumplings, potstickers, noodles, soups, sides, and drinks. You could even purchase frozen dumplings to bring home in quantities of 20 or 50. For my takeout order, I selected the #8 combo which was Old Fashioned Noodles + Bafang Pork Chop. A cup of Lemon Black Tea came with the food. I asked if I could replace the black tea with the Four Seasons Green Tea. The cashier said I could not, but that I was able to substitute another noodle type. I chose the Bafang Signature Noodles instead which was flavored with a spicy sauce. I also picked a dozen Bafang Signature Dumplings and a dozen Bafang Signature Potstickers to round out my choices. I was given a numbered buzzer for my items. While waiting, a couple of areas stood out. The first was that the prices were very reasonable. A dozen of the Signature or Kimchi & Pork dumplings/potstickers cost $11. The Corn & Chicken and Veggie varieties were priced slightly higher. At less than a buck each for the first two types, this was inexpensive compared to the local competition which will easily charge more than $1 apiece. The second was how calm and efficient the staff operated. On the opening day for many Asian restaurants, the atmosphere can be very chaotic with staffing and/or inventory shortages. I noticed less than ten workers on duty, however everything was orderly. To my surprise, my buzzer rang after only 10 minutes. A paper bag containing my food was handed to me and off I went to the condiments station near the entrance to pick up small containers of soy sauce, garlic sauce, and chili sauce for dipping. I did sample everything before leaving the premises. The beverage had a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness for a lemon black tea. The pork chop was a breaded patty that was cut into four slices. The crispiness of this fried product was nice, and the meat was seasoned. The wrapping on the dumplings had the right thickness that I prefer. I liked these slightly better than the potstickers which were griddled fried to an appropriate degree of crispiness. Finally, the noodles were coated with a mildly spicy chili oil that left a slight zing on my palate. It takes quite a bit for me to be impressed at a soft opening. Bafang Dumpling hit a home run in nearly every aspect. Some minor suggestions would be to add trash cans in the main dining area as opposed to only near the tray return corner. Also, a worker may want to tidy up the condiments station more frequently as the squirt bottles of sauces became messy from the high usage. With everything said, I still gave a five-star rating for my first experience at this new business. read more

Excited to see another Taiwanese restaurant in San Diego and I hope more follow soon! I actually have never heard of Bafang before and was surprised by how long the lines were during the soft opening. Not sure how the hype is now but just come early to beat the crowds. Since it was our first time, we decided to order a lot. It took about 30 minutes for the food to be ready but hopefully things are more efficient now. There's a self-serving bar in the back with various sauces like chili, black vinegar and garlic. One thing I didn't like about the open seating was that people were saving tables even before ordering their food. I hope they find a way to police this so people with food can sit. Sesame Noodle: Very strong sesame, almost peanut butter-y flavor. It's a dry noodle, even with the sauce. I usually prefer sesame noodles a bit more wet but this was still good. What's nice about the noodle combo is that you can switch out for any noodle dish. Chili Pepper Fried Chicken: This was probably my favorite dish. All dark meat, each piece juicy and crispy. Sauce comes on the side and you could honestly eat it without dipping the sauce...it's that good. Highly recommend. Bafang Pork Chop: Cut into 4 pieces and heavily seasoned with that five spice powder. I wasn't too much of a fan because it's not crispy at all. If it were deep-fried, I would've enjoyed it way more. Spicy Wonton: Comes with 10 pieces and these wontons are pretty small. Unlike other places, Bafang's spicy has a little kick to it but I thought the chili flavor was good. The wontons, although small, were also good. The meat was juicy and the wrapper was thin and soft. Signature Dumplings/Potstickers: I don't have much to say about their dumplings and potstickers. I believe the signatures for both types are the same filling. The potstickers aren't that crunchy and I'd imagine that it gets even soggier if ordering to-go. But even so, I enjoyed the potstickers more than the dumplings. Once you're done, return the bowls and trays to the front. Welcome to Bafang Dumpling, the new kid on the block in Mira Mesa! They are definitely bringing their "A" game as far as dumplings. I saw this new restaurant opening up in an article I read from Eater and was instantly excited. I love both noodles and dumplings. They had a soft opening, so I had some time and went for lunch. The line was long, and there were 3 of us, so I was a bit concerned about the wait. However, Bafang kept the line moving, and you would never know it was a soft opening. They were fast and professional. Knocked it out of the park!!! We were able to find a table, and our food came about 5 minutes later. We ordered a lot, being that it was our first time, and we wanted to try as much as we could. I will just give you my favorites here. I loved the signature dumplings and potstickers, especially with the garlic sauce. The spicy dumplings were pretty amazing. For soups I like the hot and sour and the wonton. The food here was amazinggggg! The only caveat was that the person who took our order was kind of rude. They seemed very annoyed at my questions about the menu. What we ordered: -potstickers - they come with a very big serving size and they are perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They even have a delicious garlic, dipping sauce that you can get at their condiment bar. -wonton soup- this was my favorite. It was topped with cilantro and it so many wontons in it that I kept getting surprised that each one was my last one. -pork chop- it was made with a savory and slightly sweet breading. Honest opinion here, I say this is 4.2 stars. I was debating a 3.5 star rating. The combination plates are great a bit smaller than the pictures but still it was a good set for what you are paying for. The Good: Get the spicy noodles and their pork chop. Their appetizers by the register were good also. The Ok: The potstickers were just okay, the servings are a bit smaller than expected from the pictures. The harsh reality: You have to fight for seating, we went on Saturday so could be just a weekend thing. An older lady literally stood next to us watching us eat and talking to us and even sat down while my son was finishing his noodles. It was funny and made us feel like we were back in Asia but I could see how any other group might have felt awkward or uncomfortable. Check out my tip below if you don't want this to happen. Tip of the century: Go around to Summery Bakery, get yourself a little dessert and bring your food to those tables to eat in the open air. There are some shade spots during lunch and it's nicer than a crowded airport terminal feel in Bafang Dumpling. The servers were kind and even tried helping people find seats, however it was like finding a missing piece in a puzzle. I would say the flavors, the decor, the service and even the sauce station pushed this place up to a 4.2 star. The big question: Would you go back?? I probably would, we got the combo 4 and 8 but next time I would opt in for the extra pork and maybe try the beef noodle soup (that looked extra large in size). read more

Bafang is the definition of quick, good, and affordable Taiwanese food that hits a craving. Due to the quick service style, don't expect Din Tai Fung levels of food here, but that's totally okay. When in a pinch for time, Bafang has got you covered. It was packed when we went during the week for dinner and we had to wait about 15 minutes for our food. The inside is clean and decently sized but there were definitely people standing around waiting for tables to open up. The Signature Noodles were pretty good and had that nice szechuan peppercorn smell (basically dan dan noodles), however upon tasting it, it actually doesn't give you that numbing sensation flavor on the tongue. Some people will like this, while others might not, but I found that to be interesting. Because of this, it seems to be not as flavorful but at the cost of no numbingness, that was a trade-off I was surprisingly okay with. The Signature dumplings were good and the filling had cabbage and I believe pork. Nothing too special but then again, still a solid dumpling. The Hot&Sour soup was a bit of a miss however. There was something about the sourness flavor that was a bit different than what I've had before, so I'd probably not order it again. Lastly, the Signature Potstickers were my favorite! The filling is the same as the dumpling but you get that cripsy outside texture from the potsticker which makes it a bit better. I do feel that they could have gotten it even crispier because that crisp is what makes it stand out. read more

Solid option for fast casual dumplings, potstickers and noodles. We came during soft opening but you wouldn't have guessed it. They had the full menu and the kitchen seemed to be running really smoothly. We got the combo #4 (signature noodles and potstickers), the bafang pork chop, kimchi and pork dumplings and a side of the chilled cucumber and daikon. My favorite out of everything was the potstickers. The wrapper was perfectly thin and it had a nice crunch. The filling was tasty as well. Would definitely come back for this. The pork chop that I was most excited about, and love in Taiwan, was pretty disappointing. They got the flavor right but it wasn't crispy at all and actually a little thick. The dumpling skin was too thick for me and the kimchi flavor could have been stronger. My partner liked the flavors of the noodles but did say they were a little overcooked. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Once I saw a photo of their potstickers so I had to come check it out. They reminded me of the ones I used to get in Taiwan. I did go later at night, I do love that they are open until 10 pm.  I got there around 9 pm and there was plenty of parking. It seemed to be in a shopping area where there are plenty of other spots I'd like to check out. Staff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant seemed fairly large and bright. There was a good amount of seating. I wanted to order more things on the menu, but I stuck to a few things to try. The main goal was to try out the potstickers and the Taiwanese pork chop. We got combo 8 which is pork chop and noodles, since the pork chop was sold out, we had to sub in  the Chili Pepper fried chicken. We also did not get the old fashion noodle but the Bafang signature noodle. (came with Ice lemon black tea) We also got wonton soup, Signature potstickers, corn soup. 1. chili pepper fried chicken was delicious!! Flavor was spot on, it came out hot and juicy. If you are familiar with these types of spices, you will enjoy this dish. I was bummed there was no pork chop but this was very good. 10/10 2. Bafang noodles were a mix of mala and sesame. These also were amazing, the creaminess and the subtle spice of mala was a perfect match.  The noodles were cooked well, not too soggy or too firm. 10/10 3. Ice lemon black tea, this was ok. I was not sure if this is house made. 4/10 4. Wonton soup, this was pretty good, typical clear broth with the mini wontons. I did think the wontons were fairly meaty for this type of wonton. 7/10 5. Corn soup? The options were corn soup or sweet and sour that came with the combo. I would not recommend this corn soup.  I was hoping for the familiar corn soup I have had in Taiwan and this was not it.  3/10 6. Potstickers, I got the original flavor. They came out super hot, the veggies seemed super fresh and cooked well mixed with the pork inside. I could have easily gotten  a 2nd order to eat while I was there. The outer skins were nicely light brown, I would have preferred them to be crispier, but these definitely fulfilled my craving.  They are not exactly the same as the ones in Taiwan, but they are pretty tasty.  10/10 My sister got a couple of little dishes. (Xiao Cia), We really did like one a lot while the other one was not very good. I ordered a few things for my niece to bring home. I will say hands down, eating it hot in the restaurant was 10 times better. It was still good at home, but nothing like in house. Next time will be pork chop, beef noodle soup(the bowl looks enormous) and spicy wontons. I might try their dumplings too, but might be a toss up since the potstickers are too good. Stopped at Bafang after the gym on a weeknight and it was busy! Happy to see them doing well so early on. We ordered a handful of items and it went pretty quickly. We were able to snag a table right before our food came out. Signature noodles were good! They had the taste of the Sichuan peppers without the numbing sensation. The potstickers were my favorite, they were good inside and out. The dumplings were good, but they weren't anything special. I'd stick to the potstickers next time. The hot and sour soup was not my cup of tea. I'm not sure what the flavor profile was but it wasn't like traditional hot sour soup I've had in the past. The cold soy milk was delightful. For counter service Taiwanese cuisine it was a great experience. You do get good value for the prices here. Definitely will come back. read more

The dumpling order was pretty filling on its own. I'll have to come back to try out the noodle soups. The line was out the door, but the service was pretty quick, maybe a 30min wait for ordering and receiving food. It'd be better for the crowds to die down before visiting. There weren't enough tables for the amount of people. I think it's better freshly cooked rather than take out too. However, it's probably tastes ok, if you eat it right away after ordering take out. I ordered combo #4 for the potstickers and noodles. There was almost no wait when I went but it took a while for the food to be ready. The food comes in what looks like to-go containers, which does make it easier to take home if you aren't able to finish it all. Went for the soft opening and there was a line out the door. Waited about 15 minutes in line to order and another 15 minutes for food to be ready. We got the #4 and #8 combos, a dozen dumplings and the beef cold cut side dish. I tried to ask for just regular black tea instead of lemon black tea on the #8 combo but the cashier was unwilling and said they don't do that so I ended up ordering a black tea separately which was ok but a little watered down and didn't have much boba. Food-wise, everything was good (though I wouldn't say great). Our favorites were the cold cuts, signature noodles (a little spicy and slightly peanutty sauce), and the pork chop (surprisingly a little sweet). The dumplings and potstickers were well made, fresh but a little bland. The garlic sauce was good. The store was clean -- except the sauce station was a hot mess, with some containers leaking and messy customers as there was sauce all over the counter which was nearly impossible to not get on yourself if you try to get any sauce. Prices are reasonable. For having been open only 2 hours when we got there everything was ok. Except for our cashier the rest of the staff seemed friendly, and they were working as efficiently as they could given how busy it was already. With the addition of Bafang Dumpling, Mira Mesa is definitely turning into a mini Convoy! Bafang Dumpling is supposedly Taiwans most popular dumpling chain. I was excited to try this place due to its casual fast Asian dining. I waited a little over 30 minutes for my order but I was expecting that because I went during their soft opening. I'm sure once it's been a few weeks the crowd will die down. The food was great. I got the signature noodle and crispy pan fried dumpling combo. The noodles had a nutty flavor to them. It was also quite spicy (I'm weak with spice). However, if you're a fan of spice this will be perfect for you. Everything tasted extremely fresh. Not only was the food great but the drinks were too! I ended up getting the mango soy but it was a little thicker than I thought. My brother got the soy awesome and I actually liked his drink more than mine. Service was great and I love the prices here. Everything on the menu is less than $15, which is rare to find these days. If you get a combo this would fill you right up. This place is perfect for lunch or dinner. I'm really impressed and I'm definitely coming back to try their other dishes! read more

Wow!! The dumplings are so crispy and very light! We also got the chicken and corn dumplings and spicy wontons. Everything was really good but the spicy wontons had a bit too much sauce, like all I could taste was sauce and nothing else. Pretty good for a quick lunch! Finally tried this place after seeing countless posts on social media! I came here for dinner and I think it's a great casual dining place if you are looking for a yummy relatively cheap eat. I came on a Monday night (7pm) and it was not too crowded, I was ablw to find seating for 2. For the price and quality of the food I feel like you cannot go wrong. I ordered the sesame noodles and chicken and corn potstickers. The sesame noodles were creamy but the sauce and noodle type made the overall dish a bit dense. I love the nutty flavor from the sesame and the bounce from the noodles. Strange though, I ordered the signature noodles for my brother and the portion looked larger than mine :/ - the signature noodle is spicy and is more light than the sesame noodles in my opinion. The chicken and corn potstickers had a light crisp and were really yummy. I wish there was more filling, I ordered the 12 piece and honestly could've downed it all in one sitting but portion control. There is a small sauce bar with soy sauce, black vinegar, chili (sambal like chili), and some chili garlic concoction. I wish they had chili oil. read more

I had high expectations for this new taiwanese spot and although it was good, it didn't live up to the hype. I appreciate the low pricing and combo variety, and that their drinks are also unique, but overall I don't think it's worth the drive. I got the #4 combo and thought the signature noodles were just OK. it had a good balance of mala spice without destroying your palate but overall it was actually kind of bland. the potstickers were tasty, but felt like it was more a chunky veggie filling than meat. I also ordered a soy milk with pudding, but they forgot to add the pudding :( it's not a big deal since they don't charge for toppings but it was still disappointing. it's nice to be able to make your own sauces and they're quick to prepare your food. the line gets long during rush hour but it moves fast. trash/tray return is to the left of the counter, and on the way to the bathrooms. the tray return definitely reminds me of taiwain just a note: seating can be VERY limited during rush hour. if you're coming anytime after 530pm, you're better off ordering takeout otherwise you'll be standing around with your food and nowhere to sit. read more

This place was packed for lunch on a Monday. Every table was full and there was a line to order. Luckily a table opened up and we were able to grab it. The line to order went quickly but our food took a while to come out. We bought some cold appetizers so we were glad we had those to munch on while we waited for our food. I really like the cold meat, tofu, and peanuts combo tray that we got. The dumplings were crispy on the outside and full of flavor. I really like the signature Bafang dry noodles too. The newly opened Bafang Dumpling is a quick service type restaurant located in the Mira Mesa Village also known as the Mira Mesa Mall. This new spot specializes in Taiwanese noddles, dumplings and potstickers. Since they opened a few weeks ago, there is regularly a line out the door. But don't be discouraged, the line does move faster than expected. From the door to the counter, I experienced about at 15 minute wait. The menu is pretty simple. The noodles and soup combos all come with a side of dumplings or potstickers. And the pricing for the combo averages $12 to $14 per person. The portions are sized per person, but is enough for 2 people unless you are really hungry. The Food The food is good. Not best best dumpling and potstickers I ever had, but good enough that I would get them again. Compared to places like Din Tai Fung, Bafang is easily the "Fast Food" version. As a side item, the Bafang Pork Chop and Chili Pepper Fried Chicken are both really tasty. These are a little expensive at $8 each. The pork chop has a little bit of a sweet and sour taste to it. The chicken is great and on the spicy side is mild. Overall the food is good. I only wish they served rice, because it goes great with the chicken and pork chops. But I took my food to-go and added the rice at home. For the Mira Mesa area, this is a great addition that is not a "chicken" spot. There are a lot of Asian cuisines in this area, but none that are really quick service type like this. I will definitely be back again to enjoy this place. This location has plenty of parking and multiple stores that share the same lot. For a soft opening, there's definitely some room for improvement! As other reviewers have stated the DUMPLINGS + POTSTICKERS are the star of the show! But if i had to choose one - the dumplings are delicious and packed with flavor. We paid ~$13 for 6 dumplings and 6 potstickers so ~$1/dumpling isn't that bad. This location is pretty spacious with multiple tables and booths but because of the buzz it's still not enough. However, turn around time isn't bad. I waited 15 mins for our order. They have a free water and sauce station by the entrance, however, it's small so there can be a wait for that too. Personally, I think it's a great idea to give people the option of choice BUT because it's a small table and the sauces are in squeeze bottles (and some of the sauces are sticky), it makes the area messy. I could definitely see this spot continuing to be popular with it's affordable and flavorful dumplings and the area it's in. Great for to-go. They also sell frozen dumplings to bring home and I will definitely try for my next visit. read more

I was excited for a taiwanese spot to open up close to us. Came by for the soft opening on 12/30 around 630pm. Line was out the door but it moved quickly. Simple menu of dumplings, potstickers, noodles and tea drinks. Fast casual, you order, get a buzzer, have a seat. When trying out new spots, i try to get a little bit of everything to help me make the determination of whether or not we will return. Decided to get the following: Combo 1: signature potsticker (12 piece) with corn chowder Combo 6: Bafang dumpling bowl with hot sour soup Combo 8: sesame noodle (employee said i could substitute) and pork chop with lemon tea Fried chicken Taiwanese beef noodle soup Total came to about $71 and some change although our order was to go, it wouldn't alter our thoughts. Sesame noodles: i really wanted to like this but it was bland. Porkchop: lots of flavor. Would be yummy with some rice! Fried chicken: we enjoyed this Signature potstickers: nothing stood out but enjoyed them Dumpling bowl: this was a sample of all the flavors. The chicken and corn was our favorite Taiwanese beef noodle soup: just ok for us unfortunately Corn chowder: good Hot and sour soup: good They forgot to include the corn chowder and hot and sour soup in my to go back so went back in and gave it with no issues. After reading so many awesome reviews, we were excited to try this place. after sampling everything, we agreed that the food was good, but we know better spots and probably something we wont be returning for unfortunately. I will say that the prices are solid and you can get full on some of their combos, especially their dumpling combo, will make you very full. But the best I can say about everything is that it's.......fine. The dumplings/potstickers clearly aren't made here and don't either steam or fry well consistently but they taste good. The noodles (and I strongly suggest only get the signature unless you can't handle anything spicy) are alright. The beef soup had great chunks of tender beef but the broth was meh at best and veggies in there were weird. Service is also just ok, nothing special. As I said it's all fine and given the price it's not a bad deal but there's nothing here at all that would inspire me to want to come back, especially since Mira Mesa has so many other great food options including for dumplings. If you're really craving dumplings and need a good value and you're in the area maybe I could recommend it. If you're not close by here, there's better options elsewhere. read more

This place can get SUPER busy and there won't be available seating as it's first come, first serve. The staff is friendly and straight forward and you order/pay and then get a buzzer for food pickup. It's busy & bustling and it's LOUD. It's loud because of how many people are there and the music is pretty loud too. Things I would skip: chicken cutlet, it wasn't bad it just wasn't amazing, you might as well get the pork cutlet instead as they're nearly the same size and the taste is better IMO. Things I recommend: Get the kimchi pot stickers, they are FIRE... I was blown away by the flavor and the texture. I love the crispiness of the potsticker and the juicy inside! The classic noodles are really really delicious... I wish they had fried chili oil to eat with them but honestly, the peanut flavor is phenomenal and really makes me want to go back. Things you'll have to decide yourself: I did get the beef noodle soup, I shared with my mom and there was a decent amount of beef, not a lot of veggies but that was okay and a decent amount of noodles... I came here to pickup my order around 6pm in a weekday. It was quite packed and it seemed a bit busy. I was able to pickup my order relatively quickly (I would definitely recommend ordering online duriing busier hours). The prices are on the lower/decent side so I wasn't expecting too much. Spicy Wontons: 8/10, The best dish out of everything! For $5.50 you get a decent amount of wontons and the spicy sauce was great. Signature Potstickers: 7/10, Crispy bottoms and somewhat flavorful. Again for the price, it's not terrible but not something I would come back for. Hot and sour soup: 5/10, Was not hot and only sour, and tasted very watered down. There were also clumps of flour from them trying to thicken the soup. This was okay for something I'd try for the first time but probably wouldn't come back again.
