The bagels here are excellent! The everything bagel I got was soft and chewy. However, the only bad part I experienced was that I was hoping to have a quick and easy experience, being the only person in the store. I only ordered a few bagels to go. The guy that helped me was very slow at just cutting the bagel in half. I specifically asked them not to toast it, because I knew it would take even longer, as it wasn't my first time seeing the slow pace they work at. I stumbled upon this place today and I am so glad I did! All the staff I encountered were super kind and polite, I'm dazzled by them canning the iced coffee for you (yay recycling friendly but more sturdy than paper cups), and the everything bagel was flavorful and the perfect softness. The space is clean, they have some games, and the stock market updates.. even googly eyes on the napkin dispensers. It might be a small joint, but it kinda has everything? I don't get bagels often; but you can bet I'm going to be coming back here anyway. read more

Woke up wanting a bagel w/ lox as per usual so I decided to try this place out! I got the Stock & LOX and it was as tasty as it is pretty. There was a good amount of salmon, a generous layer of creamed cheese, and the bagel was toasty on the outside yet perfectly chewy on the inside. To top it all off, I got some fresh squeezed OJ in a cute little can that actually cracks open! I always love trying new places and once I saw a local bagel shop open in the area, I was very excited to try it out. We went on Saturday morning before noon and there was 1 group (of 2) ahead of us to order and another small table of 4 that looked like they already ordered and was waiting for their food. Behind the counter, there was the 1 person taking the orders and 4 others working on the food. Once we ordered our 1 bagel sandwich and 1 croissant sandwich, we sat down to wait for our order to be called up. At this time, there were a few more people in line getting ready to order. 10 minutes pass and a person came out from the kitchen area with a tray of food and proceeded to head to the table of 4 that was there earlier. Of the food that was brought out, apparently half of the order was incorrect and had to be sent back to be remade. Still we waited for our 1 bagel sandwich and 1 croissant sandwich. Now more people have ordered and were milling around waiting for their order to be brought out. After a total of 25 minutes since we ordered our food, I noticed the table of 4 had gotten their remade order, a few other people who had come after us had received their food, but we still had not gotten our food and neither had the group directly after us (who literally ordered 2 bagels to be toasted). I went up to the now empty counter and asked the person behind the register about our order and she looked at me and looked down on the counter in front of her where a partially full bag was and then tried to hand me the bag. In it, very obviously was 1 bagel sandwich and that was it. I asked about the croissant sandwich and showed her the emailed receipt and she said "oh". She then turned around and started talking to the other 4 people behind her asking about it and one of them had it on the end of the counter and said "here". That croissant was smashed flat like it was a panini. On top of all of this, both sandwiches were cold - not luke-warm, but cold. We basically waited for 25 minutes for the bagel to steam in on itself and then turn cold with condensation on the top of the plastic food container. We didn't get a "sorry for the wait" or "do you want us to reheat this for you". I was handed the now full bag dismissed. I understand that it's a small mom-pop place and they were still working out the kinks, but what I experienced was not good or even decent service. After paying over $20 for 2 cold and chewy sandwiches (not something desired from bagels or croissants), I have to say I will not be coming back to Bagel Exchange, which is a shame because there was so much potential. read more

Haven't really tried anything else but the breakfast sandwiches. So far we have enjoyed them every time! Yes they microwave the eggs... but they come out fluffy and perfect shape for their sandwiches. The whole sandwich blends flavors well of course they are only constructing what you order...but I've seen it go wrong in many other places. Bagels are just okay. If you're looking for a NYC bagel substitute, this is not the place. These are great to satisfy a craving but nothing compared to NYC level deliciousness. A simple face-lift would be to improve upon the cream cheese quality. I wouldn't drive out of my way to visit but given that it's around the corner, I can definitely see myself stopping by to satisfy a craving. $4 for a toasted bagel and cream cheese. Place is nice and has an interesting theme. Just tried their cereal latte and tasted like a regular latte. They just add the cereal of the day on top of the drink. The cucumber lemonade is fresh. Bagel Exchange is located next to the comic book store across from Alhambra High School. It's got a cute concept with Wall Street stock vibes inside. I am not one for stocks so I just got the lox bagel while my brother got the exchange. The exchange is a breakfast bagel but I liked the lox salmon more. The first thing that caught my eye about the bagel exchange is the aesthetic and theme. I think the whole stock exchange theme is pretty unique and the owner was really friendly and he was telling me that he plans on having intro to stocks workshops in the future--Which I'm definitely interested in attending. Anyway before I get sidetracked, their drink menu is interesting since it has "exotic" coffee flavors like viet iced coffee and Ube latte. Their bagel selection is a lot bigger than I'd expect from a small store. I got a Stocks and Lox on an everything bagel and the quality of the salmon and capers was surprising for the price ($12). Half of the portion was enough to fill me up and I gave the other half (more like he stole it tbh) to my fiancé lol. I was a little skeptical about this place at first because of a few negative reviews, but some of them are too harsh especially since they just opened last weekend and it's their SOFT OPENING, but I'm glad I came by regardless. Anyway, tl;dr recommend the stocks and lox +portions are great for the price. I will definitely come back to try their other sandwiches/bagels/drinks. read more

The service was a bit slow and they got my order wrong twice. I ordered the vegetarian reserve and specifically asked for no alfalfa sprouts because I am pregnant and am not allowed to eat it as it can cause listeria that is harmful to fetuses. Welp, I took a bite out of it only to see alfalfa sprouts. I let them know the mistake and they bring out another one, but this time, they get the cream cheese wrong. YUMMY bagels, ADDICTING drinks, and AWESOME vibes! Their bagels are always fresh! I found the texture perfect, not too dense, way better then store bought bagels. Any leftover bagels they would sell on the side the next day for anyone who wants them. I've tried the honey walnut cream cheese and the lox cream cheese, both very good and always make me want to go back for more! Finally went to the Bagel Exchange in Alhambra (Main St and Second) and it was delicious We each got the bagel egg and cheese sandwich with bacon ($6.50 each) on everything bagels with fresh orange juice ($4)! The fresh OJ was so tasty and I loved the packaging they put it into. I thought it was a nice touch! I also bought a bag of their day old bagels and it was only 4 dollars for 6 bagels and a croissant. I thought this was a good way to try out different flavors! The staff was also really nice!
