Dude - I love this place ..... I really do :) I came here late night like around 9pm - 10pm I believe they close at 11pm. Well we came here to have some dinner before we start our alcoholic night out in town. Well anyways getting back to the point, the restaurant is very well maintained, looks spot less, smells fine doesn't smell crappy, and the furniture and decor is good. The hostess well she was eating and gave us a little bit of an attitude when we seemed to have "disturbed" her eating time, I mean if it was her lunch break shouldn't be on a break and not eating at the hostess stand ? So anyways that being said she sat us down, we waited for a couple of minutes for a server ... it wasn't packed but unusually busy... The server came she was great, she was very attentive and very detailed in her explanation of the daily special along with what she recommended us to eat. I ordered the Oak-Grilled Jerk Chicken, guys & gals... it tastes perfect ... and looks perfect. It's not greasy, and has an awesome flavor of jerk sauce. We also ordered empanadas, and conch fritters. The food didn't take that long to be served to us which is good, given that it was a bit busy, and you can tell that the chefs put effort into the food, usually some restaurants they just dump crap and move it out of the way. read more

I had been to Bahama Breeze many times, years ago. I always felt that the food was so-so and the service was hit or miss. I went again a few weeks ago, and I still feel the same about the food. The only thing I really enjoy from their menu is the tostones with chicken. The service was good and I tried a bahamarita wich was just as any other fruity drink, ok. It was really nice that they had live music, and that we had a $10 off coupon. read more

The happy they have is actually great, with many good food choices including many Caribbean dishes, Wings and Seafood for 1/2 off and all beers are 2-3 dollars for the 16 and 22 oz. I always go with Coconut Shrimp, Mango Habenero Wings and Guinness to drink. read more

Although this place has nice atmosphere and central location, the service and the food is trash. We were not given any attention by the staff members. They did not even make eye contact with us. They shuffled us around and went on their rush. I ordered the tostones rellenos. They came out as regular tostones topped with chicken cheese and tomato salsa, Nacho style. I found bones and the tostones were not salted. They were soggy. My date ordered the Jerk chicken platter. It looked disgusting! The 1/4 cop of yellow rice was dry and shriveled. The sweet plantains didn't come. Instead he got a tiny glop of dry black beans. I felt lucky I ordered the soggy tostones. I'm never going here again. I don't know how they have business?! read more

Have only been here a handful of times but they never dissapoint. I really enjoy their outside seating and the service is always great. My favorite drink is their fresh lemonade. Their ceaser salad is delicious and so is the macaroni and cheese. Parking isn't the best but luckily they do have valet available. read more

I'm pretty concerned and not quite yet disappointed yet but as a Military Veteran who fought for this country I do not expect a discount wherever I go but for a place as big as Bahama Breeze it just baffles me as to why they do not offer a discount to veterans and servicemembers at least on Memorial day or Veterans day even. It just leaves too much room for speculation as to why you dont think it is worth to honor service members for their sacrifice so places like Bahama Breeze can thrive. First responders most definitely deserve some type of honor or show of appreciation. I dont get it. If you have an explanation I would like to hear it. Nice decor and atmosphere. Best bet is to get appetizers and share. The chicken tostones are good although a bit greasy ( tons of cheese). Cobb salad was fresh. Tropical mojito sauce is delicious. I enjoyed going bahamas breeze. This is my second time coming to this place. This time this place was much better because. I had something called mojo pork it was so good. Is pork shredded pork with fried plantians and a barbecue sauce on top very good. For drinks I had the pineapple coconut martini. Sweet but very light. The place was pack on a saturday night. We sat at the outdoor bar which smelled of stale beer. The set up is completely disorganized and you have one bartender to handle of the customers which is not enough. The only reason I didn't give one star is because the bartender (Steve) was excellent. He worked hard, had a good sense of humor and got things taken care of. We ordered the beer empanadas and they were very average. The beef lacked any real taste or spice to it. The other appetizer was the Ropa Vieja tacos. They came out cold and the meat also lacked any flavor or spice. Overall, a poor performance and I am not sure why they get so crowded. However, i would not recommend this place. read more

Stopped by here tonight to meet up with some friends. The service at the Kendall location is not bad, but my reviewing is mostly regarding the meal I got. It was a shrimp quesadillas. It came with a side of sour cream (looked a little strange) and pico. The dish was kind of presented sloppy and the actually meal just seemed to have a lot of flavors going on. There was a lot of cheese and the shrimp pieces was probably my favorite part (I picked them out to eat). I wouldn't order again. As bad as the meal was I would still give it another try to see some other possibly delicious dishes. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because the meals that I've had here in the past have been better than today. Today was very meh. The service was fine. I had the firecracker shrimp which were over cooked and the Jerk Chicken pasta which looked so good in the picture, and sure didn't taste as good. The flavor was "off" , the chicken was mushy with very little flavor, the mushrooms had to be cut with a knife because they were under cooked and in such big pieces, and the asparagus was over-cooked. I love coming here. I'm from the islands so this place reminds me of the times when I used to go to the restaurants with my family in the city in the islands. The food here is really good. If you like girly drinks this is the place for you. I recommend coming in a group because you'll likely be served first compared to people who are in groups of two because the bar and outside area can be packed at times--especially at night. Also call ahead, you don't want to wait to long if you're hungry! I love the dessert menu! The chocolate pineapple upside down cake is the best!!!! read more

We walked inside to an almost empty restaurant and were told to wait for a table. Our objective was to sit outside so we sat at the outside bar to wait as the table was made available. the bartender walked away without noticing other potential customers. These same customers behind us asked to order a drink and were asked to walk inside with the excuse the bartender was incredibly busy. But how busy can you be with an almost empty restaurant on a monday afternoon? Turns out the bartender didn't even notice when we walked away without paying the drinks bill, once seated not even water was offered. We sat for over 20 minutes as others were served and not us. My family and I made reservations to eat here and I made a special request to be seated outside due to 2 people in my party that are high risk and having young children. We get to the restaurant and first off stand at the host stand for 10 minutes before anyone greets us. Finally a young man greets us and is fairly nice and a young lady walks up and says we don't have a table for you due to your party have 6 people. I told her my youngest will need a high chair other wise my 4 year will sit on my lap so we really only need a 4 top. She tells us 20 mins. We wait outside and I see numerous tables open and anyone that walks in is getting sat. A party comes after us with the same amount of people and they seat them within a 5 min wait. Finally after 45 mins I go in to ask, they are rude. This lady that didn't have a badge on looked like a regular customer tells me that they can't seat me and my reservation is only good for inside. I tell her well they seated 2 people at 6 top and numerous other parties and not us. The lady was extremely rude, didn't apologize or even introduce herself. My father was with me too and she was so extremely rude to both of us. We said we were leaving and I went back to ask her name. She stated her name is Jessica and she is the general manager. She definitely has gone into the wrong industry because she has no customer service skills what so ever. I have worked in this industry since I was 14 and I have managed very high end restaurants. Ok to start of it's a cool place but my waiter wasn't the the best , the food I got was not that good

It was my first time coming to this location one night and I was meeting my sister, her husband, and her 7 month old. The staff was great especially the manager he made sure things were perfect with extreme patience since my nephew was touching everything and was loud. I think his name was Sam, hefty tall African American Male, but he was checking on every table even help some of the waiters and checked on every employee. Nice to see teamwork. Try the Paella, it is delicious! The wine list leaves a little to be desired, but they do have a full bar and signature drinks. There is a bar outside with one TV, so if you want to keep an eye on the game, that is an option. read more

Fortunately this time there was no wait around 5 pm on a Thursday. As an appetizer we had " tostones con pollo" its tostones topped with chicken, melted cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, and tomato, can't go wrong with it, it's so good. I had the Shrimp Calypso and their "Aruba Red" draft beer. My wife had the "grilled chicken w/cilantro cream topping". That definitely will be my next choice to eat, it is so yummy. Had a great time overall! Recommend to visit! Visited at night on a weekday. The restaurant wasn't too busy. Service was quick and it happened to be Happy Hour which was great because draft beers were $3 or $4. I had an Aruba Red, a Bahama Breeze original, and it didn't taste as great as I thought. It tasted watered down and fizzy. I could have sworn it was much better the last time I had it. That was fine, I corrected my mistake by ordering a Blue Moon and Rum and Coke. For food I ordered the shrimp and lobster quesadilla. It was nice and warm, not too hot, and delicious. Served with sour cream and tomato salsa as dip. My friend had the coconut shrimp, served with pineapple sauce. That was great too, nice and crispy coconut flakes. The only bad thing was that there was a live guitar player outside where I was sitting and it was very loud since we were sitting at the high top right next to him.
