My husband and I went there last night with a Groupon Coupon. The place is a bit tacky for my taste, but it was cheerful. We were served warm chips and salsa (both were mediocre). I ordered the shrimp fajita. I had 9 nice sized shrimp and they were cooked to perfection. The fajita sauce was okay, but nothing to write home about. The black beans were just so-so. The Mexican rice was good. My husband had the steak fajitas and enjoyed them. both portions were huge. The accompanyments for the fajitas were fresh and plentiful. We both had plenty left for lunch the next day. If it were not for the groupon, I probably would not have ever gone there. The fried ice cream was not too great. My bf and I eat here at least one a week every week. Atmosphere is great, restaurant is always packed, good service, and excellent food. I have eaten everything on the menu and continue going back. I can't find anything wrong with this place. The food is always fresh, the salsa is always chunky, and the drinks are always delicious. I have been going to this restaurant for over 2 years now and done several liquor promotions here. The manager is great and always helpful. Very tasty mexican cuisine! The portions are very large! My favorite item on the menu is the chicken wings....they are delicious. Probably the best in south Florida. Wings are battered with a touch of spice and deep fried. You can add hot sauce and blue cheese without an extra charge. Without a doubt the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Ordered chicken enchilada that the menu suggested was spicy. Far from it, completely bland and devoid of chili nor green suiza sauce. Taco Bell has more flavor than this. Had to douce the enchiladas in jalapeño pepper sauce and squeezed lime wedges just to in rice my taste buts to salivate. I love this place! Guacamole is awesome, service is awesome, and food is all great! Drinks are very strong too so you know they're not watering down your drink.... They seat you very quickly and food is almost instantaneous so you aren't waiting too long. Also they usually have deals on Groupon so check it out!!! If you want to know how to run a restaurant business... ask the manager Joe. My family and I have been eating there since they opened. We've never had an issue with a meal and/or any order... ever!! Service is always great. For the 1st time ever, a quesadilla arrived via delivery dudes with chicken, instead of just cheese... because my daughter can't eat chicken. I called Baja and Joe got on the phone, apologized and asked for my address. 15 minutes later he personally delivered the correct quesadilla. He refused a tip and told my 9 year old to ask for him and a free dessert next time we eat there. 1st class management. read more

My house margarita tasted like salty watered down mix from a bottle. The salsa had no flavor, and both our meals were undercooked, not served hot, and were bland. We wnet there for dinner on a Friday night and as soon as we walked into the place it was like walking into a hight school lunch room. All the servers were standing up front and doing nothing but talking with there friends and playing with someone baby. After we sat down they gave us chips and salsa which tastes like it can out of a can not very good. Our food came to the table and the plate was hot but our food was only warm and again not too good. Yo, I'm X ITB and know how not to be treated. Her tip was minimal after avoiding us at all costs and did not even check to see if, we were happy with our food or needed drink refills. Management needs to have a mandatory meeting real quick to fix this place quick. I love love love their salsa. & the flan, to die for. When I was pregnant, I lived there, lol. I craved their flan that much. My husband raves about their cowboy burrito. Their chicken strips that are available on the kids menu are awesome. Not sure what "breading" they use but these are AWESOME. Best I've had in 59 years and several trips to Mexico. I enjoy Mexican food where I can and have eaten in Mexico, Cali, Texas, ind points where you'd think it best. The rice is spicey yet not hot. The refried beans actually taste refried. The taco shells look made from scratch and not factory bought. Rellenos still got a little kick in the pepper. The enchiladas are excellent too. Still confused as to how this place has 4 and 5 star reviews. The service was slow and didn't come by to ask how anything was after our food arrived. Two different salsa's are provided with chips when you are seated. The salsa's are made with canned tomatoes and canned corn and rather tasteless and bland. We ordered the magi tacos and Mexican pizza to start. The Mahi tacos were dry and crumbly, unseasoned and the soft taco shells were stale. You don't have the option of ordering hard shells. The fish was diced into very small pieces and had no seasoning on it, it was topped with raw unseasoned cabbage. The Mexican Pizza was a sloppy mess and soggy throughout as well as bland and exceptionally greasy. After the severe disappointment with our items we refused to order any more food. We ate one small bite of each item and set them aside and when the server finally came by she just asked if we were finished and grabbed the plates to take away. The service staff must just be used to patrons leaving full plates of food to be picked up because they never asked if anything was ok. I have worked in and been to numerous restaurants around the country and never have I left a full plate of food for a server to take away and not been asked what was wrong with it. They just want to get you in and out as fast as possible. The Margaritas were nothing special and you could get the same quality drink at any dive bar that carries tequila. Really dissatisfied and disappointed with the experience. If you have $50 you want to throw out the window this is the place for you. read more
