People on yelped loved this place so off I went. They open at 6:00 am, so they were perfect for my traveling trip. The menu, though only a few pages, is somewhat overwhelming with what all appear to be life changing choices. A whole page of Benedicts! I chose the Yosemite & waited for what I expected to be a breakfast delight. I was not disappointed. It was really good & all the flavors went together to make my tummy very happy. As soon as it arrived, in case I thought I wasnt getting enough to eat, Nicolle, my server, informed me that first timers get a snickerdoodle pancake...wow. I was really not ready for this, as it is a pancake the size of the plate & Nicolle told me this was the little one. They make one that overlaps onto the table... Wow! This amazing happiest, funnest and excellent server, Angela , and the great food with friends was just great. I got their avocado toast with arugula , so huge that one slice of two , went home with me for dinner that night. Tasty, fresh and overall presentation of that, one friend's lemon blueberry pancake( an entire plate was size!) and my other friends regular pancake (same dinner plate size) was nice. It was quite busy inside, but had plenty of space between tables. Honestly, felt like Angela was our own personal server. She was hilarious and found we joked with her too, she was passionate with being great at her job, she loves what she does and as you see by the picture she gave me permission to post - that she just exudes happiness. After traveling, we decided to have breakfast for lunch. We found this gem with the help of fellow Yelpers so thank you! I had the home made corned beef. It was a large serving and was real good. The hash brown potatoes were cooked perfectly with the nice crunch on the outside and perfectly cooked potatoes on the inside. There was a generous amount of meat with the other hash veggies. I should have read the menu better and asked for the gravy on the side because it didn't need it. The Benedict was cooked perfectly also! The staff were warm and welcoming. Baja Cafe serves up the best French Toast I've ever tasted! The restaurant itself is tucked into an unassuming plaza and has a small back patio. There was no wait, service was attentive, and my food was brought out promptly. After seeing all the positive reviews, I had to stop in while in town for work! I went on a Sunday morning at about 9AM, it was about a 20 minute wait for just myself. Once I got seated, my server was busy with a large party so someone else came over to take my drink order (coffee which is hot and high quality), and shortly after my server Sam came and checked in with me. She is kind, attentive and easy going. The restaurant is a casual vibe and moves efficiently. There is lots of unique options on the menu. The people next to me got some sort of Benedict which looked delicious, French toast, and liege waffles (also looked fab!). Being just by myself I opted for the black widow Benedict but also got a side of the smoked Gouda sauce, which was great with the hash browns. The Benedict was a good size, and also scrumptious and plenty of flavors. All the tables already have hot sauce, salt, pepper, ketchup which is nice, plus creamers and sugar for coffee. My daughter and I decided to eat breakfast out on Easter Sunday, then skip lunch and dinner. We'd considered other breakfast places, but decided on Baja Cafe as we'd seen it on a TV program (You Gotta Eat Here) years ago.There were quite a few people waiting for a table, but since there were only 2 of us, we got right in. We each ordered a bloody Mary, but they were so huge and spicy, we were unable to finish them, so that was a miss. The hit was the food, I had the Wyatt Earp and she had the Wolverine. The portions were more than generous and the food was delicious. We took a lot home. The waitress, Samantha, was sweet and helpful. She knew the menu items very well. I'm hoping to go back eventually, but eating out is so cost prohibitive, I don't know how people do it on a regular basis. We'll be eating at home for the foreseeable future. There's three places on Campbell for brunch. One stands out for exceptional food and service. We've been there twice, and our menu selections were awesome. Great service, and they're willing to make changes to meet my dietary requirements. Food is ABSOLUTELY OVER THE TOP. Brunch entrees aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Fun place. I'm a pancake person so I appreciated all of the variety. It suffers a little bit from being just too busy, particularly on Sundays. But the wait staff was very friendly. I ate there a couple times. I would give the quality of the food a B+. But the variety is the reason to come here. So many more options. Ambiance is that of a diner. First time, I had, get this: BRISKET CARAMELO Grilled crisp caramelos stuffed with shredded brisket, tomatoes, chorizo, cheddar and Jack cheese. Topped with two strips corn husk smoked bacon, fire roasted diced green chile and two poached eggs. Finished with a combination of New Mexican red chile sauce and a smoked gouda cheese sauce, pico de gallo, cotija cheese and pickled onions...my girl got this: Berry Danish French Toast Baked Danish cheese sandwiched between two pieces of brioche cinnamon roll French toast placed over crème anglaise. The place is very small and extremely loud -- between the music and the overall noise level, it was hard to hear the person sitting across from me, the food took forever to be served as well. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The eggs were very pale, which usually indicates lower-quality eggs, and both the sausage and hash browns were overly salty. On the positive side, our waitress was great -- friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated.
