Pretty average Tex mex. It's more of a bar, than a restaurant. The service was very slow.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the Number 5 plate, which included a taco, guacamole tostada, rice, and beans. The presentation was excellent, making the meal both eye-catching and appetizing. The restaurant is conveniently located in an upscale shopping center, adding to the overall dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and encourage anyone looking for quality Tex-Mex to add it to their must-visit list.

While I don't care for chunky salsa, I would want it to be a little thicker and more flavorful. It came with two other salsas, which I did not care for. I did have to ask for a refill of salsa. I always get excited seeing mole and spicy options on the menu, so I got the cheese enchilada with mole and spicy chipotle sauce. I wasn't warned about the spice level, and it was very spicy with a strong chipotle taste that I couldn't eat. I also wasn't checked on to make sure I enjoyed the food, and I had to flag the server down for my check. I was expecting this place to be better.

Unfortunately, our experience was pretty disappointing. My sister-in-law and I both ordered the Pollo Poblano. She has ordered it here before and said it was really good. When my plate arrived, I immediately noticed that the chicken wasn't hot, it was lukewarm at best. I hadn't eaten all day, was really hungry, and the food tasted okay otherwise, so I decided not to complain and ate about 3/4 of the chicken. When our waitress brought our to go boxes, we started talking about everyone's meals. That's when my sister-in-law mentioned that her chicken wasn't hot either and described hers the exact same way: lukewarm. She said it had never been served like that the other times she'd ordered it. At that point we considered saying something, but since we'd already eaten part of our meals, we decided not to. Unfortunately, about 3.5- 4 hours after dinner, I started feeling very sick to my stomach and have now been sick for several hours. I can't say for certain that the meal caused it, but considering the temperature of the chicken, the timing definitely concerns me. It's too late tonight to check on my sister-in-law, but I'll be checking with her first thing in the morning since she ate the same entrée. The rest of the table wasn't overly impressed with their meals either, but the margarita was good. My husband thought the brisket tacos were bland and felt they needed some type of sauce to complement them, and my mom gave the beef enchiladas 2 stars. I do want to say that our waitress was great, and we had no issues with her service. My biggest regret is not trusting my gut and sending the lukewarm chicken back when it was first served. Hindsight is definitely 20/20 because now I'm up late fighting my gut instead.

The service was very good, although it was clear the bartender was extremely busy handling both the bar area and the outdoor seating. They could definitely benefit from a second bartender, as drink service was a little slow at times. That being said, the drinks were absolutely worth the wait. I had the Blueberry Habanero Margarita, which was tart, refreshing, and delicious. My husband started with a frozen margarita that he really enjoyed and later switched to a draft Modelo. For food, he ordered the pozole and I had the jumbo shrimp fajitas. Everything was exceptional. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the dishes were well prepared, and the portions were generous enough that we left completely satisfied. What really excites us about this place is that it feels much more traditional Mexican than Tex Mex, which is much harder to find in this area. The food, drinks, and atmosphere all made a great impression on us, and we are so glad we discovered this spot. We will definitely be back!

This time I had the lettuce wrap that has chili garlic chicken bites, black beans & rice ($15). It was good and lighter so I wasn't too full to get back out in the heat for the evening. Good flavor. The lettuce leaves provided were too big/mush for the amount of meat given - only needed two leaves since they were quite large. Queso was good. Others enjoyed taco salad, brisket tacos, kids quesadillas, taquitos. Margarita was decent. For $15, I thought it would come in a nice glass or a plastic cup that hadn't already been used. (Mine had most the writing on plastic cup gone. Like they wash and re-use them).
