Always a great time coming here. Went with a group for lunch and we didn't have reservations or anything, though they seated us almost immediately. The server was very helpful and friendly. He got our orders in no time and our food came out quick and fresh. Everything tasted delicious as always. And if you come here, you have to drink one of their margaritas. They taste amazing and are strong, so you're definitely getting your money's worth. Always recommend this place! And I'll be coming back for sure! read more

Wow! Y'all, this place is truly AMAZING!!!! For 9 years we lived right down the street from the Watauga (Denton Hwy) location, and were regulars. Last year, after the birth of our 1st child, my husband and I relocated to downtown Fort Worth for work. We've been missing Baja ever since, and try to get back as much as possible. Because we are both 'essential', our schedules have been crazy lately. We finally have a day off together and decided to celebrate the Easter holiday with our old favorite. But the logistics of our schedule AND a toddler's schedule, factored in with a popular local restaurant's schedule, multiplied by a deadly pandemic, raised exponentially by the quarantine guidelines?! The math doesn't add in our favor, right?! It does when a generous manager and a selfless waitstaff step in: They took our order so fast, had it ready EARLY, with minimal contact, and it was waiting for the little guy when he woke up from nap time! There are few establishments like Baja that care about family, support health care workers and are able to provide a hot meal on a rainy day WITH A SMILE. Very impressed!. Wifey & I went for a late lunch today. Service-Great! Food-Great! & cost efficient. Came out fast & hot! Ritas- Good, but, small & pricey. Overall, a 3 star rating from me. My Family and I had dinner here last Friday night, 6/15/2022. We had a wonderful experience and meal. Our family included my son, his wife and their four children aged 7 years to a newborn. We were seated right away at a very roomy table. Our server was very efficient taking our order. Chips and Salsa was delivered to our table very quickly. Our food was delicious and delivered quickly. This is amazing restaurant in an unassuming spot. The food is authentic, the selection are great. They have simple Tex-Mex, and more traditional and some items that are unique to this restaurant. Food was okay, server (Santiago) was not. My family visited Baja Cantina tonight and the food was good but the server could not have been worse. He greeted us and took our drinks, after waiting for a while I made eye contact with him and said we are ready. He acknowledged and then passed by our table to go to another table and then passed by us again to check another table before coming back to our table. When he came after that to get our order there was absolutely no welcome and no "have you been here before" or "do you have any questions about the menu". When we were ordering he rushed my sister to get out her order saying "hurry hurry". He came to the table twice to check on us in the almost hour we were there eating and each time we asked for something while he came by he seemed very unconvinced that we asked. When we received our check we realized because our party was 9 he already received his gratuity and that he probably didn't care how he treated us because he was already getting 20%. By far one of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant and we will not be visiting again. read more

THE MARGARITAS ARE SOME OF THE BEST EVER. I always get the Perfect Margarita. It's so strong and a pretty big size! For $13 it ABSOLUTELY did the job. The atmosphere is nice, laid back. The service is always just mediocre. This time I got the Surf n Turf which was DELICIOUS. Makes me wonder why I've waited this long to get it. I came here last night for my birthday dinner. I've been here once before and couldn't recall the food being memorable. They are known for their strong margaritas though which why I was there! We had been wanting to try this place for a while now and the parking lot always looks packed. Finally made it in Sunday for lunch and the food was really good. Atmosphere is fun and taqueria-esque with luchador mask decorations and sports on the TVs. The Tacos Callejeros (get all four!) were great with generous portions and the margaritas were just the ticket for a hot Texas afternoon. Everything was very fresh and delivered quickly to the table. While our waitress was more involved in her conversation with a coworker than our table, the food outweighed the iffy service. We will definitely be visiting the Baja Cantina again. read more

I remember when this place first opened and there was a buzz around town about how great it was. It was great and still is! Back in the day my friend and I were waiting for a table and decided to get a margarita at the bar to sip on. As I was waiting on the bartender this lady turns to me and says, "Girrrl - these margaritas are like boobs! 3 is too many and 1 is not enough!" Lol ... she was spot on with her assessment! Baja is definitely the place to come get your margarita on in the area. I have never had a bad one here - ever. I love their nachos and enchiladas. My most recent visit I had the Nando plate, which was cheese enchiladas with your choice of chicken or fajita meat on top. It was great. I also love their chips and salsa too. Baja is a family, friendly option to please a crowd with tex mex and margaritas. It is a go to place for my family for sure when we are in the area. read more

For a while lately, we've just had terrible experiences with the hostesses and wait staff. We've been coming here for several years and enjoy the food and (strong) margaritas. I'm not sure if this store's management has changed, but service has definitely declined here. We just had a really poor experience at their sister store in Keller, which has some of the Watauga staff. Ok, so I truly understand policies about not seating partial parties. It just makes sense for a busy restaurant to not tie up tables with parties that aren't complete. But when the store is virtually empty and your wait staff is standing around twiddling their thumbs? Really?!? All we got was an unapologetic, "that's our policy." The funny part was them insisting on giving us a pager in the empty restaurant with no one else waiting. But hey, at least they were following their process. When we were finally seated, we were ready for chips & salsa. With a party of seven, we were a little surprised to only get one bowl of chips and two (one-person sized) salsas. It went downhill from there. We were actually here just last weekend. They were hopping (it was Sunday evening). But every time our waiter walked by, he was in another world. We couldn't get his attention for anything. He didn't get 20% that night. Pros: Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Cons: Poor service from the hostess stand to wait staff Bottom line: We won't be back; we've begun the search for a new favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. read more

Love Baja Mex Grill but the Keller location is the best! The atmosphere is upbeat and the festive decor adds to the chillax vibe. Tables are usually full and the conversations loud. Great place to go with a group for lunch or drinks and dinner. Our Friday festivities started with margarita's of the Baja Blue and regular variety followed by the steak Fajita Fundido - a delish mound of melted gooey stretchy jack goodness covered with pieces of seasoned steak. Our dinner of sizzling hot, deliciously seasoned, tender steak fajitas arrived next.. and while I wouldn't say they're the greatest I've had, they are very good! (thinking leather would be tasty after one of their magical margaritas tho!) Baja is definitely on the fave list of places to frequent often. Can't go wrong with anything you order. I've mostly had appetizers and stick with steak fajitas for dinner but friends have tried the other dishes and say they're all very good eats. On a side note, I'm surprised by the poor service comments? 5 stars for margaritas and 3 stars for food. Service is good. First. If you like a margarita do come here. Do NOT expect to drive home though. Just saying. One margarita is like 2.5 big ones anywhere else. That's the perfect margarita mind you, PERFECT being key word. They have a regular one that is of course less intense. Be careful the margarita sneaks up on you. I can drink 4-5 cosmos during dinner (and i might drink once a month) but i tried to drink two of these once and got half way through the second and was like NO. I did not make it home before i revisited my dinner. Soooo if you must have another drink try the small perfect or a small regular (the regulars are even stronger than your average margarita) Ok food. I always get asada tacos or fajita combo. Sometimes soup and chicken salad combo which is amazing. I can't tell you much else because that's all i eat. I have had table side guacamole which is great. It's guacamole, it is what it is. But it's expensive. Chips are crispy, salsa has good spice but a bit watery. If you ask for butter you get yellow lard aka margarine. YUCK. That's not butter people. Am i the only turned off oby any form of bright yellow fake butter? Anyway we are regulars and live close to funky Baja in Keller but drive PAST that place to come here. Why? Because Funky Baja is gross and customer service is horrible. Read my review on that one. They even think it's so funny the Keller place has a sign says "welcome to the worst bar in Keller according to yelp" i don't find that funny. I find it sad. Anyway this Baja (last i heard same owners. Shows management does make a difference) is a great place for a quick inexpensive meal and a killer margarita! read more

When I'm in the mood for a good margarita and Mexican food I'll come here. I always suggest this place to people for a REAL good margarita! Came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend around 730pm, very busy, and of course a wait. Since it was just the 2 of us the wait was like 10 minutes. Sat down, server came by really fast, ordered drinks, than chips and salsa given to us. Insanely fast. This place def has a fast turn around. Ordered the guacamole which is over priced but it is fresh and made infront of you. The portion for the guac is huge! Could feed 4 easily. Orders baja blue margarita. Def my fav. You don't taste the liquor and it's def a creeper! I usually order a plate or enchilada of some sort, they're all great! I ordered something diff, chicken tortilla soup. The soup was okay... Used to be an easy 5-star rating from me, but this place has gone downhill fast in the past couple months. Margaritas have gotten smaller, weaker, and more expensive. Service is slow and unfriendly if you happen to not be hispanic. Food is good, not great.
